Go Time: 3/22/06

Ft. Wayne, IN

Quick Rundown Results:
LuFisto b. Kelly Schweickart
Alan Mayse b. Charlie Haas
Ballard Brothers b. Eccentrics
Trent Acid b. Delirious

("Neocon" opening.)

David: MECCA is making its debut right here in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and this is Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight in the main event we have a preview of the main two matches of the MECCA Challenge as Nykk and Eddie Crowe will team to face the MECCA Champion Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas!

Dick: Not only that, but Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal will battle the tag team champions... in separate singles matches! Katie Piehl has given these matches and how well they do will determine whether or not they get a title shot.

David: And for the first time since Melee, we'll hear from the finalists in the Toughman Tournament, Alan Mayse and Trent Acid.

("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)

David: Lisa Letty looks like she can't wait to show Ft. Wayne what she can do, and she also can't wait for her opponent to get out here.

Dick: This is a rematch from a couple of weeks back that Lisa Letty lost, and she's looking to avenge that embarrassment.

("Liberi Fatali" hits and Jackie makes her way to the ring.)

David: Jackie upset Lisa in her first ever singles match here in MECCA, and Lisa has been seething about it ever since.

Dick: The First Lady of MECCA may have had the Dangerous Liaison to contend with at ringside, but a loss is still a loss in the end.

(FINISH: Jackie applies the Haas of Pain, but Lisa makes it to the ropes. Jackie continues to kick at the knee and whips her into the corner. She charges, but Lisa gets her feet up. She hits a second rope bulldog, followed by a butterfly suplex into a Letty Stretch. Jackie taps out.)

Winner: Lisa Letty

David: Lisa got her revenge on Jackie, beating her fair and square.

Dick: Lisa may be looking to get back in contention to challenge Gail Kim, but she's stated that she wants to deal with the Dangerous Liaison first.

David: When we come back, one half of the MECCA Tag Team Champions, Andy Nathans, will take on Matt Sydal!

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, Kelly Schweickart is with Lisa Letty.)

Kelly: That was a good victory out there, but I hear that the Dangerous Liaison is here tonight. We're still outnumbered here, you know.

Lisa: I know, but Heather is returning from her injury soon and...

(Gail Kim and LuFisto enter the locker room. Kelly stands up.)

Lisa: It's all right, Kelly, I've asked them here. So what do we have here? The two original members of this monstrosity that has plagued MECCA for the past year. You two started something that has caused us all a lot of grief, you know. Just speaking for myself I've lost two title reigns, suffered two betrayals and been beaten down more times than I can count.

Gail: Why don't you get to the point?

Lisa: The point is, the MECCA Challenge is coming up, and I've been granted a very special match that I will reveal next week. So if you want to hear what it is... I'd bring the whole group with you. Come on, Kelly.

(They leave Gail and LuFisto alone.)

LuFisto: We still have their number, right? She sounded pretty confident.

Gail: Trust me, nothing that Lisa Letty can do is going to take us down.

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring.)

David: I see that Andy Nathans no longer has any need to bring the Grenadiers with him to ringside.

Dick: Now that the Pyro Twins are out of action, he doesn't need to protect them anymore.

("My 7th Rib" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)

David: Matt Sydal and Joey Sprinklers scored a big upset over the Killer Kanines last week, which they feel puts them in line for a title shot. Katie Piehl is going to be monitoring these singles matches and determining if they're worthy or not.

Dick: Sydal is young, enthusiastic and can fly with the best of them... I'm not sure what Joey brings to the table, but they did manage to win last week.

(FINISH: Sydal goes for the Here It Is Driver, but Nathans lands on his feet and sends Sydal shoulder first into the ring post. He sets Sydal on the top rope, going for London Bridge is Falling Down, but Sydal fights out of it and sends Nathans to the mat. He hits a shooting star press and gets a close two count. He sets Nathans on the top rope and goes for the Cyclorama, but Jack Fletcher runs out. He throws a chair into the ring, and while the ref is getting rid of it, Fletcher holds onto Sydal's ankle. Nathans twists him around into London Bridge is Falling Down and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Andy Nathans

David: The UK Wrecking Crew pull off a tainted victory even when they're not in the same match. Sydal has to be disappointed.

Dick: Doesn't look like we'll be seeing Sprinklers and Sydal as tag team champs anytime soon.

David: We'll see after the next singles match. But when we come back, the team that they beat to earn this spot, the Killer Kanines, will take on the Eccentrics!

(Commercial Break)

(Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal are with Katie Piehl in her office. Sydal is holding his head.)

Sydal: I thought that was supposed to be a singles match, Ms. Piehl. What was Jack Fletcher doing out there?

Joey: Yeah, Matt would have had 'im beat.

Katie: You're probably right, and I have no idea what Fletcher was doing out there. But I will tell you this... Joey, if you can beat him tonight, then you guys are getting a tag title shot next week, no questions asked.

Joey: Dat's what I'm talkin' about!

Sydal: Hey, I've got a plan. Let's get out of here.

(He and Joey leave.)

(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: Joey Sprinklers and Matt Sydal still have a chance at a tag title shot if Joey can beat Fletcher later on tonight. Right now, it's the grudge match that will settle the series between the Killer Kanines and the Eccentrics.

Dick: The Kanines are in a bad mood, David. They believe that it's them that should be facing the UK Wrecking Crew right now.

("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)

David: The Eccentrics are still in the midst of their own problem with Ronin Fox and Cynric, but they'll attempt to settle things with Anubis and the Wild Wolf right here.

Dick: Keep in mind that Cheesecake's coming off a loss in a MECCA Championship match against Kevin Stone, so he has to be feeling that disappointment still.

(FINISH: Cheesecake goes for the Long Kiss Goodnight on the Wild Wolf, but he gets clotheslined by Anubis. Huh hits Anubis with a standing avalanche, which rocks him. Huh bounces off the ropes, but Wolf gives him a drop toehold, allowing Anubis to drop an Ankh Smash across the back of Huh's head. Cheesecake goes for a lung blower on Anubis, but Wolf catches him, and they drop him with a reverse DDT/reverse spinebuster combo. Wolf sets Cheesecake on the top rope as Anubis climbs an adjacent turnbuckle, and they hit the Dog Catcher. Anubis covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: The Kanines win the series, and they also get back what they lost in that match with Sprinklers and Sydal.

Dick: They may be waiting a while yet for a title shot, though, if Joey Sprinklers wins tonight.

David: That match will be coming up later, but when we come back, one of the finalists in the Toughman Tournament, Trent Acid, takes on Dreamo!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Trent Acid.)

Bill: Trent Acid, at Melee you, along with Alan Mayse, made it to the finals of the Toughman Tournament. Now at the MECCA Challenge II on April 29, you have the chance to become the first MECCA Toughman Champion.

Acid: Let me interrupt you right there Bill, because for the last year, I have been languishing at the bottom of the card, and now is my chance to step it up here in MECCA and make it to the next level. And as you're about to see out in the ring, I'm going to kick that poseur Alan Mayse all around the Hara Arena and...

(Alan Mayse walks up.)

Alan: Acid, I don't know who you think you are with the crap you did to me at Melee, but on April 29, I'm going to beat you so bad that the children you don't even have are going to feel it. There is no force in this world stopping me from becoming the first Toughman Champion, no matter what kind of match Katie Piehl names.

Acid: Why wait? Let's go now. We'll see who's tougher.

(They stare each other down, until some officials lead Acid away for his match.)

(In the ring, "Sweet Dreams" is playing, and Dreamo is lying asleep in the corner, with Medea Knight trying to wake him up.)

David: We're back here on Go Time, and Dreamo has been catching a few Zs during the commercial break.

Dick: He might as well sleepwalk his way through this one, because his opponent is on a roll.

("I'm a Soldier" by Young Buck hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)

David: Acid is fresh off a staredown with Alan Mayse, the other man to make it to the tournament finals, and we still don't know what type of match the finals is going to be.

Dick: Whatever it is, it should be a tremendous affair, as both of these guys have scraped and clawed their way to the finals, and neither of them are going to be willing to relinquish the distinction of being the first Toughman Champion.

(FINISH: Acid goes for the Yakuza Kick, but Dreamo avoids it. He gives Acid a spinebuster and then goes to the second rope, hitting a fistdrop. He covers and gets a two count. He goes for the Dream Sequence, but Acid gets up and kicks him to double him over. He kicks him in the face and then hits a spinning forearm. Dreamo tries a clothesline, but Acid ducks and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Trent Acid

David: Acid dispatches Dreamo, and keeps his momentum going into the MECCA Challenge II.

Dick: I can't wait for the finals of the Toughman Tournament on what is already a loaded card.

David: We'll be right back with Joey Sprinklers attempting to win a tag title shot!

(Commercial Break)

(In the back, Nykk is massaging Lisa Letty's sore shoulder. He looks up when he sees the camera.)

Nykk: I asked you to come here so that I could send a message to... well, not a good friend of mine, but someone I can't seem to get rid of nonetheless. Charlie Haas. Yeah, we're meeting in the MECCA Challenge on April 29, and yes, last week you did knock me out. Congratulations, you understand the concept of the match. But then I made you tap out, Haas. Once again, you tried to assert your superiority, and I stopped you dead in your tracks. And we'll meet to end this at the MECCA Challenge II, one way or the other. Because as I'm sure many of the fans know, you've re-signed with WWE. Quite frankly, Haas, I'm not surprised you were with us for such a short time. You see, I've never liked you. When the board of directors wanted to hire you, I gave my consent with great reluctance. I've never considered you a part of our locker room, and you've just proven that you need the big-time to make yourself feel worthwhile. Well, that's okay. Because come April 29, as far as I'm concerned, this has just become MECCA vs. WWE, and though I commend you for honoring the remaining commitments you have... I'm sure the big PPV payday had nothing to do with it at all... but the fact remains that you are now working for the enemy, and when I'm through with you, you'll wish that you had just no-showed. Because I will not stop when I hear your bones breaking... I will not hesitate to inflict a career-threatening injury, because I will be DAMNED if you're going to beat me in my promotion. Have a good time while you can, Haas, and enjoy being cut to pieces by the glass ceiling.

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and Jack Fletcher makes his way to the ring.)

David: Nykk just let the cat out of the bag, and that's the fact that Charlie Haas's last night in MECCA will be the MECCA Challenge II!

Dick: He not only let the cat out of the bag, he just chased it around the room with a stick. What's Haas going to do when he hears those comments?

David: Moving on, it's time to see if Joey Sprinklers can win a shot at the tag titles. Fletcher helped Nathans beat Matt Sydal earlier in the show, and will the favor be returned in this one?

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards his way to the ring.)

David: Joey and Matt certainly make an effective duo, even if Joey is kind of an...

Dick: Idiot?

David: Be that as it may, the kid has heart.

(FINISH: Matt Sydal comes to ringside just as Fletcher gets whipped into the ropes. Sydal trips him, and referee Matt Hitchcock asks Sydal if he touched Fletcher. As Sydal argues with the ref, Nathans comes into the ring with a chair. He tries to jab Joey in the midsection with it, but Joey moves and Nathans hits Fletcher. Joey dropkicks Fletcher into Nathans and then rolls Fletcher up for the three count.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers

David: Joey did it! He and Sydal gave Nathans the perfect opportunity to interfere and it backfired big time!

Dick: Maybe Joey's not such an idiot after all. He and Sydal just earned a tag title shot for next week.

(The UKWC argue in the aisle as Sydal and Joey embrace.)

David: Up next is our main event, as Charlie Haas and Kevin Stone will team to take on Nykk and Eddie Crowe!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, David Caldwell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Caldwell: Eddie, you're just about ready for tag team action where Kevin Stone is going to give you a preview of what he has in store for you at the MECCA Challenge II. How do you plan to deal with the devastating loss you're about to suffer?

Eddie: Don't worry about me, Caldwell. There's going to be no devastating loss, because our MECCA Monster is all as bad as he claims to be. In case anyone's forgotten, I've already pinned him once, which just goes to show that he's not invincible, and he can be beaten. Can he be beaten for the title? We'll find out on April 29. But tonight, Nykk and I display the potential that was apparent when we gave the tag champs a run for their money last week. Trust me, this is the start of something great. Kevin, I'll see you across the ring tonight, and you'd better show me that "preview" because I promise you, this is the only chance you'll get.

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for our main event, as the two biggest matches of the MECCA Challenge II collide in this tag match.

Dick: A lot of issues are going to be enveloped in this one. We are just over a month away from April 29, and these men all want to strike the first blow.

("Noots" hits and Nykk and Eddie Crowe make their way to the ring.)

David: This duo took our tag champs to their limit last week, and a victory here could get them a future tag title shot.

Dick: With the Pyro Twins out of the picture for the time being, the time is right for new challengers to step up and test the nearly unbeatable UK Wrecking Crew.

(FINISH: Eddie hits the Gutwrench Driver on Haas and makes the cover, but Stone comes in and makes the save. Nykk attacks Stone and whips him into the ropes, only for it to be reversed. Stone tries a Stone Cutter, but Eddie kicks him and Nykk lands on his feet. He and Eddie give Stone a double dropkick and he goes through the ropes. They duck a clothesline from Haas, and Eddie gives him a chop. Haas backs right into Howling Moon II from Nykk, and Eddie vaults off the second rope with his backwards 450 splash, covering for the three count.)

Winners: Nykk and Eddie Crowe

David: Nykk and Eddie are victorious, and you'd hardly think that these are the same two guys who were at each other's throats a year ago.

Dick: They work as a team pretty well, now that Eddie has gotten all the issues ironed out of his career.

David: Join us next week for another edition of Go Time, fans. We'll see you then!
