Quick Rundown Results:
Gail Kim b. Zoe Alexander, Lisa Letty
Killer Kanines b. Matt Sydal and Dreamo
Cynric b. Trent Acid
Stone/UK Wrecking Crew b. Eccentrics/Delirious
("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Lansing, Michigan, as MECCA presents Go Time right here on FSN! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we're just eleven days away from Melee, and tonight we are told the main event will be announced. But tonight, the MECCA Championship will be on the line as Kevin Stone defends against one half of the Pyro Twins, Jay Crowe!
Dick: And the other Pyro Twin will be in action as well, as Dusty Schneble takes on Low Ki.
David: Plus, we understand that Charlie Haas and Nykk still want at each other, and Katie Piehl has an announcement about their feud later on.
("Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)
David: Right now, we're getting right into the action with a tag team match.
Dick: And all four of these competitors will be meeting each other at Melee in the semi-finals of the Toughman Tournament.
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: Fox has been having an Eccentric problem lately, but that didn't stop him from making it this far in the Toughman Tournament.
Dick: I'm sure whatever issue Fox wants to settle can wait until after he's safely in the finals.
("My 7th Rib" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: Sydal is still relatively new here in MECCA, but he was able to make all the way to the semi-finals within his first few matches, as well as beat Acid at Bloody Valentine.
Dick: The kid's got a lot of talent and even more heart. I can't wait to see more from him.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan Mayse is looking to win his first title in MECCA, and if he wins the Toughman Title I'm sure he'll bring prestige to it just like he's done with titles in the past.
Dick: With Fox and his Eccentric issues, Sydal being new and Acid having not the greatest win/loss record, Alan is the only one that didn't surprise me by getting this far.
(FINISH: Alan and Sydal give Fox a Tiger Bomb/guillotine legdrop combo, but Acid runs in and gives Sydal a Yakuza Kick. Alan hits him with rights and whips him into the ropes, but Acid slides between his legs, headbutting him in the nether regions on his way through. Alan doubles over and Fox hits the Tail End, covering for the three count.)
Winners: Ronin Fox and Trent Acid
David: Acid and Fox pick up the victory, but they won't be able to work together at Melee.
Dick: But it does give them some bragging rights for tonight.
(Acid raises Fox's hand, and then waits behind him. When Fox turns around, Acid nails him with a superkick. He stands over Fox's body and taunts him as his music plays.)
David: Acid just reminded Fox that they're going to be opponents on March 11, and Fox is out cold!
(Acid's music suddenly changes to "Burning Times" and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring. Jay is carrying something wrapped in a tarp.)
Dick: But he'd better not stick around long, because the Pyro Twins are on their way to the ring, and they look like they have a purpose.
David: Jay will get a shot at Kevin Stone later on, and Dusty will wrestle Low Ki, but their minds have to be on the UK Wrecking Crew. They tried like hell to get them to accept their challenge last week.
(Jay gets a mic.)
Jay: First thing's first. Eddie, I want you to watch me real close as I take the MECCA Championship tonight, because that means at the MECCA Challenge, it will be me and you once again. I love you, brother, but I definitely owe you one. Stone, get ready to have your title reign snuffed out tonight.
Dusty: Don't get too comfortable when you win that belt, Jay, because when I beat Low Ki tonight, I'll be hot on your heels in the Contender Star. But we digress. The reason we came out here now is because of certain tag team champions. I don't want to name names... so let's just call them Motherf$^%ing Bitch! You see, they don't want to give us the match that we rightfully deserve. You're burning us up, champs. And when we get burnt up metaphorically, that means someone gets burned literally!
Jay: It's real simple. We're calling you guys out again. But if our challenge isn't answered by the end of tonight, then we're going to come back there and beat one out of you, and we don't care how many Grenadiers we have to light up to get to you.
(He hands the mic to Dusty and takes the tarp off to reveal a flame-thrower.)
Dusty: You know, normally we'd say that we'd go through hell itself to get to you... but this time, we're bringing hell with us!
(Jay shoots some flames into the air as "Burning Times" plays.)
David: The UK Wrecking Crew is in serious trouble if they don't answer Jay and Dusty's challenge by the end of tonight. When we return, Huh will take on the Wild Wolf!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring.)
David: We understand that a rematch between the Eccentrics and the Killer Kanines has been signed for Melee in just eleven days, but right now we're getting ready for singles action.
Dick: The Eccentrics were counted out of their last encounter with the Wild Wolf and Anubis, thanks to Ronin Fox and Cynric, but with Fox occupied with the Toughman Tournament we'll hopefully get a decisive victory this time.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Wild Wolf makes his way to the ring.)
David: The Wild Wolf, the technician of the Killer Kanines, is not to kill the roll they've been on as of late by losing to Huh right here.
Dick: Losing to Huh would kill just about anyone's momentum.
(FINISH: Anubis comes down to the ring with the broken alarm clock that he got hit with before, just as Huh hits a DDT. He goes up to the top for the moonsault and hits it, but Anubis gets on the apron. Huh and referee David Bowers come over, and the Wild Wolf manages to sneak in a low blow on Huh. He whips him toward Anubis, but Huh reverses. The Killer Kanines put on the brakes, and Huh pushes the Wolf into Anubis. He gives Wolf the Windbreaker, just as Cheesecake comes out and distracts the ref. Anubis hits Huh in the back of the head with the clock, causing Huh to fall forward on top of the Wild Wolf. Bowers makes the three count as Cheesecake pulls Anubis off the apron.)
Winner: Huh
David: Anubis tried to exact some measure of revenge, but he underestimated Huh's ability to succeed through failure.
Dick: The Killer Kanines need to get this victory back after they lost to the Eccentrics two weeks ago. They can't afford to lose to them again at Melee.
(Cheesecake congratulates Huh, but the Killer Kanines attack. Anubis hits them both with the alarm clock, and then the Wild Wolf gives Cheesecake the Twig Snap. He then lifts Huh onto the top rope and they hit the Dog Catcher. "Kobrakai" plays as the Killer Kanines exit the ring.)
Dick: Well, I think that the Wild Wolf and Anubis are done playing. The Eccentrics are in for a serious challenge at Melee.
(In the office, Katie Piehl is standing between Nykk and Charlie Haas.)
Katie: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with a huge announcement, and one that I've already revealed to these two individuals. Last week, we decided on a challenger for the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge, and it turned out to be Eddie Crowe. This week, I've decided that it's time to book the MECCA Challenge itself. So this year, a veteran in the MECCA Challenge, Nykk, will go up against his rival, Charlie Haas. And that's on April 29, but what about Melee, you ask? In order to keep these two apart, I've decided to let them pick each other's opponents for Melee. Nykk, Charlie, I understand you both have opponents in mind, and up next, you will be in a tag match, teaming with those hand-picked opponents.
Haas: That's right, Ms. Piehl, and let me just say that you're in for it at Melee, Nykk. I know that there's no one in this organization that could definitely beat you and embarrass you before I get the chance at the MECCA Challenge, so I selected one of the hardest-hitting competitors in MECCA, to ensure that you'll still be feeling that match when April 29 comes around. You may not even want to face me by then.
Nykk: As usual, Haas, your optimism outweighs your intelligence. You see, you may need me weakened to take me in the MECCA Challenge, but I want you fresh as a daisy. That's why I didn't go for everlasting damage, I went for someone who's going to embarrass you and show you that I am the Alpha Wolf, and no one outsmarts me.
Katie: We'll be right back with that tag match!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Liberi Fatali" is playing, and Charlie Haas and Jackie are in the ring.)
David: We just found out before the break that the MECCA Challenge is signed for April 29, and it will be Nykk vs. Charlie Haas! But first, they pick each other's opponents for Melee, and they'll be teaming with their picks right here.
Dick: These two are well-matched for the MECCA Challenge, just like Nykk and C.M. Punk were last year, which turned out to be 2005 Match of the Year. I'm sure we're in for another classic on April 29.
(Haas gets a mic.)
Haas: I'm going to keep this short and sweet, Nykk... at Melee, you are going through a room full of buzzsaws, because no matter which way you turn, you will be cut. This man is a bruiser, and one of your greatest challenges in the past. My partner, and your opponent for Melee... Cynric!
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: The older brother of Ronin Fox had the night off while his brother competed in the Toughman Tournament, and it looks like Cynric will spend his evening carving up Nykk for Charlie Haas to abuse at the MECCA Challenge.
Dick: Cynric has no real love for Nykk, especially now that he's turned his back on the fans and embraced his brother's philosophy.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: The anticipation is mounting as we find out who Nykk chose as Charlie Haas's opponent for Melee.
Dick: Any number of competitors are still free for the night, and Nykk had his pick of any one of them.
(Nykk takes the mic from Haas.)
Nykk: I'm sorry to disappoint, but there will be no bludgeoning of Charlie Haas at Melee, because I want you at your best on April 29. But I did pick someone who I think stands a good chance of beating you... a man... I should say, a lizard-man who will embarrass you in front of the world...
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk's partner is Delirious, and he's tweakin' out!
Dick: I don't know what Nykk's playing at here. Delirious is a capable wrestler, but I don't think he's in the same league as Haas.
(In the ring, Haas and Cynric are openly laughing.)
David: Haas seems to share that opinion. He did beat Delirious once before, and that was in his MECCA debut back in November.
(FINISH: Nykk takes out Cynric with a pescado, and Haas gets dropkicked into the corner by Delirious. Delirious hits him with BAM! and then goes for the Invitro Fertilization. Haas escapes and clotheslines him from behind. He goes for the Haastruction, but Delirious slips underneath him and stands up, hooking the arms and dropping Haas on his head with the Chemical Imbalance #2. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Nykk and Delirious
David: Delirious just got the pinfall over Charlie Haas, and what surprise! Delirious can beat Haas after all!
(Nykk and Delirious celebrate on the outside, as Haas wakes up. When he realizes what happened, he's livid and starts throwing a tantrum.)
Dick: Nykk wanted to get inside the head of Charlie Haas and he's done that already. Can you imagine if Delirious were to beat Haas at Melee?
David: He would embarrass Haas just like Nykk said. Still to come, the MECCA Championship will be on the line. We'll be right back here on FSN.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Lisa Letty is talking to Kelly Schweickart.)
Kelly: So you really think we should all band together to take out the Dangerous Liaison?
Lisa: I think that's the only way we can stop this ridiculous mess that's been happening...
(Jackie walks up to them.)
Jackie: Well, well, if it isn't Nykk's little girlfriend! Did you see what just happened out there? He just got that crazy man to take out my husband!
Lisa: Yeah, it was great.
Jackie: Great? There's no telling what could happen to him at Melee now! I mean, we all know that Charlie can beat him, but Delirious is insane. There's no telling what he could do after he loses. I guess Nykk's taste in wrestlers is just like your taste in men... drooling and ineffectual.
(Lisa laughs to Kelly, and then forearms Jackie to the floor. She fights back and they tumble around having a fistfight until some officials and Kelly break it up.)
(Meanwhile, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Kevin Stone.)
Bill: Kevin, tonight you put your MECCA Championship up against one half of the Pyro Twins, Jay Crowe. Should you get by him and make it to the MECCA Challenge, you will be facing his brother Eddie in the main event. How good do you think your chances are of beating both Crowe brothers?
Stone: My chances are same as always... absolute. No one has been able to stop me from holding onto this belt, and no one will. Eddie, you got lucky when you got the fall on me in that ten-man tag, and even luckier when you beat the rest of the Contender Star to make it to the MECCA Challenge. You've gotten real good over the last year, but you're not at my level yet. And Jay, don't even think about being the MECCA Champion later tonight. I've got a plan to deal with you, and when it's all over... (points to himself) I'll have killed two Crowes with one Stone.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)
David: Dusty Schneble has a big opportunity in front of him tonight, just as his partner Jay has one later on for Kevin Stone's MECCA Championship.
Dick: Two of the heaviest hitters in MECCA are about to face off, and I can't wait.
("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Low Ki needs to rebound in a big way after losing his chance to main event the MECCA Challenge, and we understand that he asked for any member of the EDJ tonight to gain some revenge, and he was put up against Dusty.
Dick: Hopefully Low Ki doesn't get too into it, or he'll end up losing his spot on the Contender Star altogether.
(FINISH: Dusty goes for the Rope Burn I, but Low Ki grabs the top rope and kicks back for a low blow on Dusty. Dusty moves, and kicks Low Ki in the shin. Dusty moves in, but Low Ki gives him a standing enzugiri with the other leg. Dusty falls to his knees, and Ki kicks him in the face. Dusty crumbles to the mat, but when Low Ki picks him up, Dusty springs to life, and they trade some very stiff and furious forearms with each other. Finally, Ki cradles Dusty's arm and rolls through into a cross armbreaker, really wrenching back on the elbow. Dusty taps quickly.)
Winner: Low Ki
David: What a fight that turned into at the end, as these two just went all out on each other.
Dick: You knew that tempers would run high with Dusty and Ki in there.
(Dusty jaws back and forth with Ki from the outside when Joey Sprinklers runs in through the crowd. He schoolboys Low Ki and holds him down for a three count. He immediately bails out of the ring and goes back into the crowd, celebrating. Low Ki turns his attention to Joey with a look of disbelief on his face. He gives chase, but Joey makes his escape.)
Dick: Does Joey Sprinklers want to die? I mean, challenging Low Ki to a match is one thing, but taking a guy who nearly tore Dusty Schneble's arm out of its socket and provoking him like that is suicide!
David: Joey Sprinklers just showed Low Ki that all it takes is three seconds, and he could very well win their rubber match at Melee, even though he's the very severe underdog. When we come back, the MECCA Championship is on the line. Kevin Stone defends against Jay Crowe in the main event!
(Backstage, Gail Kim is pacing up and down the hallway with the Ladies' title belt. Misery runs up to her.)
Misery: Gail, she's coming!
(Gail poises next to the threshold that leads to the locker rooms, ready to hit someone with the belt. Kelly Schweickart walks through, but before Gail can do anything, Kelly sees her and spears her into the wall. Gail drops the belt, and Kelly picks it up. Misery charges her, but gets the belt in her face. Gail takes the opportunity to run.)
Kelly: You better run, Gail. Because at Melee, I'm taking my rightful place at the top of the ladies' division! The rest of us ladies aren't going to take these tactics anymore, you hear me?
(She sets the belt over Misery's prone body and leaves.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time for the main event, and Jay Crowe gets his first opportunity at the MECCA Championship.
Dick: This will be an interesting match between two members of the FPPVW graduating class of 2003.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: This will be Jay and Kevin's first meeting in MECCA, and I don't think Stone plans to relinquish that belt to him.
Dick: The MECCA Monster has been just that since he won the belt. Such notable names as Nykk, Cynric and Alan Mayse have failed to take the belt from him.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event for Go Time, and it is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 187 lbs... he is one half of the Pyro Twins... Jaaaay Crooooowe! And his opponent... from Bowling Green, Ohio... weighing in at 265 lbs... he is known as the MECCA Monster, and is the reigning and defending MECCA Heavyweight Champion... Keviiiin Stoooone!
(FINISH: Jay goes for the Overhaul, but Kevin easily escapes and pushes him into the ropes, hitting a military press into a powerslam. He goes for the Rockslide Bomb, but Jay counters with a hurricarana, taking Stone into the second turnbuckle. As he staggers to his feet, Jay hits a running dropkick, sending Kevin back into the corner hard. Jay gets Kevin up for the Overhaul, but Stone hooks the top rope with his feet. Jay pulls him off, but loses his balance, and Kevin hits a bulldog. He whips Jay into the ropes and gives him the Stone Crusher. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: Kevin Stone retains after a hard fought contest against Jay Crowe, and if he can hold out until April 29, he'll be defending against Jay's little brother Eddie.
Dick: Jay certainly looked impressive against the MECCA Monster, but the title is not his tonight.
(Jay gets up, and Stone smashes the belt into his face. As he tells Jay that neither he or his brother is taking the title, Dusty runs out and starts hitting Stone with rights. However, the UK Wrecking Crew runs out and nails Dusty from behind. The three go to work on the Pyro Twins, and the UK Wrecking Crew hit the Wrecking Ball on Dusty.)
David: The UK Wrecking Crew have attacked the Pyro Twins, and of course after a year of calling them out, they have to attack from behind.
(Eddie Crowe runs out and hits Nathans and Fletcher with rights, but Kevin clotheslines him from behind. Fletcher sends Jay back down with a running knee to the face, and Stone whips Eddie into the ropes. The UK Wrecking Crew and Stone hit a double flapjack into a Stone Cutter.)
David: This is enough. What are the UK Wrecking Crew playing at? Why attack the Pyro Twins now, after all this time?
(Stone gets a mic.)
Stone: I told you, no one is taking this belt from me. And EDJ, you just met your worst nightmare. Because at Melee, March 11, live on FSN, the main event will be a six-man tag. You three... and take one guess who your opponents are.
(He throws the mic down and raises the belt as the UKWC raise the tag belts, and "At the End of the Rainbow" starts playing.)
David: We have our main event for Melee, and I can't believe what a six-man tag that's going to be.
Dick: Is this why Stone and the UKWC took on the Eccentric Alliance on Rundown this week? To prepare?
David: It looks that way, and they work very well together indeed. Fans, join us next week on Go Time for the final countdown to Melee.
