Quick Rundown Results:
LuFisto b. Zoe Alexander
Anubis b. Delirious
Matt Sydal b. The Wild Wolf
Eccentrics b. Ballard Brothers
("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are here in St. Louis, Missouri, welcoming you to another edition of Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli. We're coming off Bloody Valentine this past Saturday, where Kevin Stone once again retained his title over Alan Mayse. But Mayse will be here in the main event tonight, and he'll be putting his spot on the line, but we don't know against who yet.
Dick: Plus in the ladies' division, the number one contender to the Ladies' Title, Kelly Schweickart, will face Shadow.
David: We also understand that Joey Sprinklers has something to say, and we're kicking things off with quarter-final action in the Toughman Tournament!
("My 7th Rib" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: Matt Sydal impressed everybody in MECCA at Bloody Valentine with a big singles victory over Trent Acid.
Dick: Well, Sydal won his spot on the roster here in MECCA in his first round Toughman Tournament match, but he showed that he deserves to be here by beating an actual MECCA wrestler.
("Ironman" hits and Jack Fletcher makes his way to the ring, along with the Grenadiers.)
David: As you can see, Jack Fletcher still has his belt, which means that the UK Wrecking Crew did retain on Saturday, but Eddie Crowe will still have his chance for revenge, as I undersand he's facing Andy Nathans in a rematch from Snowed In on Rundown this week.
Dick: Fletcher looks a little apprehensive, because this will make him the first UK Wrecking Crew member to come into contact with a Pyro Twin for one year.
("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring. He commands the Grenadiers to step aside, and they reluctantly do so. Dusty charges the ring and goes after Fletcher, but he bails as the bell rings and Sydal starts fighting it out with Dusty.)
(FINISH: Fletcher leaves the ringside area, and the match turns into a singles contest between Dusty and Sydal. Finally, Dusty hits Sydal with the Rope Burn I, but Sydal barely kicks out. Dusty gives him a teardrop suplex and goes to the top rope for a kneedrop. However, Sydal dropkicks the ropes and crotches Dusty. He goes up and hits the Cyclorama. However, as he covers Fletcher comes back to the ring and attacks Sydal. He gives him a back suplex and then goes for the Union Jack, but Sydal rolls through into a sunset flip and gets the three count.)
Winner: Matt Sydal
David: Sydal advances in the Toughman Tournament after Fletcher tried to pull a fast one, but he rebounded and scored the pin.
Dick: What resourcefulness shown by Sydal, as he joins Alan Mayse and Trent Acid in the semi-finals, and we'll get our fourth man next week here on Go Time.
(Fletcher sees Dusty waking up, and he hightails it to the back. Dusty gets up, furious with Fletcher.)
David: And once again, the UK Wrecking Crew escapes the wrath of the Pyro Twins, but they can only run for so long. I get the feeling that time is running out.
(Back in the office, Katie Piehl is standing in front of her desk.)
Katie: Fans, I'm sure you're all excited about the MECCA Challenge II, which will take place on April 29 at the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. This will be MECCA's landmark event for the year, as we know that a MECCA Challenge will take place, and also that we'll crown a new champion with the finals of the Toughman Tournament. But what we need is a strong number one contender to face the MECCA Champion in the main event... and though we've got another event to go in Melee, on March 11 right here on FSN, I thought we'd get a head start for the MECCA Challenge this year. That's why next week, there will be a Supernova Spectacle involving all five competitors on the Contender Star. And the winner of that match will face the MECCA Champion at the MECCA Challenge. At this moment, the Contender Star consists of Andy Nathans, Alan Mayse, Low Ki, Cynric and Nykk. But whoever is on the Contender Star come next week will be in this match, as we move forward thanks to each and every one of your support!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Nykk is pacing back and forth when Lisa Letty arrives. He gives her a hug.)
Nykk: Hey, Lisa.
Lisa: Hey, I got your flowers yesterday.
Nykk: You did?
Lisa: Yes... and the answer is yes. I will be your valentine. It was very sweet, Nykk. Thank you.
Nykk: You're welcome. But you know what was even sweeter? On Saturday, when I kicked Charlie Haas's ass all over the ring, and you made that bitch wife of his tap out to the Letty Stretch. That was sweeter than any box of chocolates. My only regret is that my beef with Haas has prevented me from becoming the first Toughman Champion.
Lisa: Well, knowing you, you'll be getting your shot at the belt sooner or later.
Nykk: Yeah, but if you just got here, you don't know. There's a Supernova Spectacle next week, with the winner getting the shot at the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge. And since I don't have a singles match between now and next week, that definitely means I'm in.
Lisa: Wow, congratulations!
Nykk: So what are your plans for the MECCA Challenge now that you've wiped the floor with Jackie?
Lisa: I don't know that I'm done with her yet, but with recent events that have been going on, I've kind of put the Dangerous Liaison situation on the backburner. Well, that crap has gone on long enough, and I think I'm just the lady to lead the charge that will take them down once and for all. I don't know where or when, but it's happening soon.
Nykk: All right. Hey, want to watch the rest of the show with me? I just learned that since I'm half-owner, I get my own private box. Bad view, but I hear there's going to be food there.
Lisa: Hor'deurves, mon ami?
Nykk: Yeah, I think there's a cheese platter or something.
Lisa: Sure, let's go.
(They leave.)
(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and we just found out that a Supernova Spectacle will determine the number one contender for the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge II, and that will happen next week. Right now, the Wild Wolf and Anubis are awaiting tag team action.
Dick: They were involved in a big mess on Rundown that saw Anubis beat Delirious from the Eccentric Alliance, only to have the ultra-cocky Wolf immediately issue an open challenge that was accepted by Matt Sydal, only to get beaten when Eccentric Alliance members interfered.
("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)
David: The Killer Kanines actually beat Huh and Cheesecake by count-out on the pre-show before Bloody Valentine, thanks to Ronin Fox and Cynric.
Dick: The war between Fox, Cynric and the Eccentrics is heating up, but the Killer Kanines are kind of caught in the crossfire with their feud against the Concession Dream Team, as well as last night against Delirious and tonight against Huh and Cheesecake.
(FINISH: The Eccentrics hit the Eccentric Chair on the Wild Wolf, but Anubis comes in and clotheslines both of them at the same time. He whips Huh into the ropes and gives him a spinebuster as the Wild Wolf hits the Twig Snap on Cheesecake. As they're getting ready to go for the kill, the Concession Dream Team comes out. Concession Boy is selling leashes with the Kanines' faces on them, saying that this is the only way to tame a dog. Wolf loses it and baseball slides into Dreamo. He fights with Concession Boy as referee David Bowers gets in to separate them. Medea throws the alarm clock to Huh, who hits Anubis over the head with it. He makes the cover as Bowers sees him, and gets the three count.)
Winners: The Eccentrics
David: The Eccentrics avenge their loss, and the Killer Kanines go down thanks once again to outside interference!
Dick: This is just going to piss off the Kanines. Anubis is the last guy you do that to.
David: The Supernova Spectacle will be next week, but up next one of the members of the Contender Star will put his spot on the line as Cynric takes on Jay Crowe!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: You know that Dusty is still smarting over his loss in the Toughman Tournament earlier, but now his partner Jay has a chance at gold, because if he wins his match with Cynric, he's on the Contender Star for next week's Supernova Spectacle.
Dick: Dusty also has to be nursing the fact that he came so close to getting his hands on Jack Fletcher, but the UK Wrecking Crew has managed to evade the Pyro Twins once again.
(Dusty gets a mic.)
Dusty: UK Wrecking Crew, we know you're both watching. We'll make this short and sweet. Those titles you carry... we want them. Your mangled bodies... we want them too. And we don't want to wait any longer.
Jay: We've already been waiting one full year to get our hands on you. You see, at first it was just a desire to avenge our loss to you in the International Invitational... but it's escalated so much since then. Now we want to end your careers. So you might as well get it over with, and accept your fate. Nathans, Fletcher, get out here right now!
(They wait, but nobody comes out.)
David: If the UK Wrecking Crew are smart, they'll have fled the building already. Jay and Dusty are pissed.
Dick: This is smart by the UK Wrecking Crew... even if they face Jay and Dusty eventually, it will be on their terms, the champs' terms.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: No UK Wrecking Crew for the Pyro Twins, but Jay is set for one on one action with Cynric. If he wins, he'll be on the Contender Star with Nathans, and will face him next week in the Supernova Spectacle.
Dick: Cynric would love another opportunity at the MECCA Championship, and Jay would love his first opportunity at the MECCA Championship. This is going to be quite the brawl.
(FINISH: Cynric goes for the Shock Cannon, but Jay hits him with rights and lands behind him. He goes for a German suplex, but Cynric counters with a victory roll, letting Jay roll through. He goes for the Lift Off, but Jay gives him a drop toehold onto the second turnbuckle. He gives Cynric the Overhaul and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Jay Crowe
David: Jay just got on the Contender Star, and that means Cynric just blew his chance at main eventing the MECCA Challenge!
Dick: The Pyro Twins were furious with the UK Wrecking Crew, but it looks like Jay was able to channel that fury and deal a lethal blow to Cynric. He now joins Andy Nathans, Alan Mayse, Nykk and Low Ki on the Contender Star.
David: And if Nathans gets past Eddie Crowe on Rundown, one member of the UKWC will once again be across the ring from a Pyro Twin next week for a spot as the number one contender. But up next, the number one contender for the Ladies' Championship will be here. Kelly Schweickart takes on Shadow when we return.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Ronin Fox is standing with Cynric, who is exhausted from his match.)
Fox: I can't believe it. You've beaten Jay before, so we both know you can do it... what happened out there?
Cynric: I don't know. I thought you said this got a lot easier once you weren't worrying about the fans anymore.
Fox: It does, but I think your problem is you're still lingering on what those idiots think. In that match, I didn't see one eye rake, one low blow, or grabbing the ropes for leverage. This is wrestling, damn it! But you know what? We'll work on that. We'll stick together and work all this sportsmanship crap out of your system. But for now, one of us is getting in on that match next week.
(Fox and Cynric walk down the hall and go into the office, where they find Katie Piehl.)
Fox: Katie, I want to talk to you.
Katie: You mind knocking first?
Fox: Yes, I do, actually. The fact is, my brother was all set for that Supernova Spectacle next week, and we get here to find out that he's putting his spot on the line against Jay Crowe? I mean, what the hell?
Katie: That's how it works. There's nothing I can do.
Fox: But there is. Since he had to put his spot on the line, I want someone else's spot. Give me a chance at getting in on that Supernova Spectacle next week, and you'll see me in the main event of the MECCA Challenge.
Katie: You want a shot? All right. Alan Mayse doesn't have an opponent yet in the main event. But now he does. Beat Alan and you're in.
Fox: That's what I'm talking about. Bro, let's get out of here.
(He and Cynric leave.)
(In the arena, "Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)
David: We just found out our main event tonight will be Alan Mayse vs. Ronin Fox, and the winner will go on to the Supernova Spectacle next week...
(Shadow grabs a mic.)
Shadow: Shut off my music. At Bloody Valentine, I was robbed! Kelly, you may have won the match, but you did it off of my efforts! I'm the one who knocked Gail out, and you stole the pin from me. As far as I'm concerned, I'm the number one contender! So why don't you get out here and we'll see just who deserves that title shot, you bitch!
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart runs to the ring, sliding in and tackling Shadow as the bell rings.)
(FINISH: Shadow gives Kelly the Skullbuster and goes for the dragon sleeper, but Kelly turns over and hits a northern lights suplex for two. She whips Shadow into the corner, but Shadow reverses and charges in with the Interceptor. Kelly moves, and Shadow elbows the post. Kelly armdrags her over and applies a cross armbreaker, and Shadow taps out.)
Winner: Kelly Schweickart
David: Kelly wins it, and erases any doubt as to who the number one contender is. She'll be going on to face Gail Kim at Melee.
Dick: She managed to capitalize on a mistake by Shadow and lock in one of the most dangerous submissions in wrestling, so I'd definitely say that Kelly deserves the spot she's in right now.
David: Still to come, Ronin Fox takes on Alan Mayse, but when we come back, we'll hear from Joey Sprinklers.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Joey Sprinklers.)
Bill: Joey, you've requested this time to announce something to the MECCA fans, so I'll just shut up and let you have the floor.
Joey: Thanks, Bill. Now, I know I've come a long way here in MECCA in the last year, and even had a shot at becoming the first Toughman Champion... and me gettin' my confidence back can be linked to one victory, and that was over Low Ki. But I won't deny it, it was a fluke victory, and he beat me clean in the rematch. But I think it's time to conquer my demons and move on here in MECCA, and that's why I'm challengin' Low Ki one more time. And this time, Ki, I'm gonna win, and after I win I'm gonna stay on the Contender Star and get my shot at the MECCA Championship. So whaddya say, Ki? You an' me, one more time so we can settle this? Let's see whatcha got!
(In the arena, "Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
Dick: Is Joey crazy? He's challenging Low Ki after he almost killed him last time they were in the ring one on one?
David: Joey wants to move on up, and the only way to do that is get that loss off his back. It's time for our main event, and Ronin Fox has accepted the open contract to face Alan Mayse here tonight.
Dick: If Fox wins, he gets in on the Supernova Spectacle next week, which will determine the challenger for the MECCA Championship on April 29.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan Mayse came up shot at Bloody Valentine against Kevin Stone, and he would certainly like a rematch. But first, he has to go through Fox and then four other competitors on the Contender Star.
Dick: Both of these guys are also still in the Toughman Tournament, so if they were to win the title shot and get to the finals, would they have to choose between matches?
(FINISH: Fox goes to the top rope, but Alan dropkicks him and then goes up for a Tiger Bomb. Fox fights out of it and then somersaults over Alan for a powerbomb, but Alan holds onto the top rope. He takes Fox over with a hurricanrana, and then kicks him, hitting a Tiger Bomb on the mat. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan finishes off Fox with the Tiger Bomb, and heads into the Supernova Spectacle next week. Right now the participants consist of Andy Nathans, Nykk, Jay Crowe, Low Ki and Alan Mayse, but Eddie Crowe has an opportunity to take Nathans's spot this week on Rundown.
Dick: He'd better make the most of it, because this is a chance to headline MECCA's biggest show of the year.
David: Thank you for joining us, fans, and we look forward to seeing you again next week.
