Pittsburgh, PA

Quick Rundown Results:
Charlie Haas b. Cheesecake
Anubis b. Dreamo
Shadow b. Zoe Alexander
Ballard Brothers b. Huh and Concession Boy
Nykk b. Andy Nathans

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome to Go Time, presented by MECCA, and we are making our debut here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! I'm David Mills, joined by Dick Broccoli, and the fans here in Pittsburgh are in for a treat as their main event will be for the MECCA Tag Team Championship! The UK Wrecking Crew will defend against the Eccentrics right here tonight.

Dick: And the Toughman Tournament will continue with our first quarter-final match. It will be a Triangle Match between Alan Mayse, Joey Sprinklers and Low Ki.

David: And the trio of the Pyro Twins and Eddie Crowe will be in six-man action. All that and much more, here on Go Time!

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: Anubis and the Wild Wolf will attempt to move up the tag team ranks as their feud with the Concession Dream Team continues.

Dick: The CDT beat the Killer Kanines by DQ back at New Year's Knockout, but as nothing was decided, we're getting a rematch tonight.

("Sweet Dreams" hits and the Concession Dream Team make their way to the ring, along with Medea Knight. Dreamo is fast asleep on a cart full of t-shirts that CB is pushing to the ring.)

David: It looks like Concession Boy was trying to get some last minute sales in for this new market and didn't have time to wake his partner up.

Dick: He should just wrestle this match without Dreamo. He can't do any worse against the Killer Kanines than they've been doing together.

(FINISH: The CDT go for the Nocturnal Emission, but the Wild Wolf escapes and kicks Dreamo, throwing him through the ropes. CB sends him down with a leg lariat, but Anubis hits a lariat from behind, flooring CB. The Killer Kanines give him the Dog Catcher and Wolf covers for the pin.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: The Kanines continue their winning ways, and it appears that the loss they suffered at New Year's Knockout has been avenged.

(At ringside, Medea sets off the alarm clock and Dreamo jumps back in the ring, enraged. He keeps the Kanines at bay with right hands, and manages to backdrop Wild Wolf over the top rope. He ducks a clothesline from Anubis and peppers him with rights. He gives him a dropkick, which only staggers him. CB gets to his feet and they give him a double dropkick, sending him through the ropes.)

David: The Concession Dream Team is not going to take it lying down. They're ready to continue the fight!

Dick: Despite how they act, these two are no pushovers in the ring. They're obviously upset about losing this match.

David: The CDT will have to wait for another day, because we're moving on here on Go Time. Up next, Eddie, Dusty and Jay will take on the Ballard Brothers and Trent Acid.

(In the locker room, Cynric is sitting on a bench lost in thought. He looks up as Ronin Fox enters.)

Cynric: New look?

Fox: I decided to make a visible statement about my feelings for MECCA's fans and this promotion as a whole. You know, next week's the Night of Champions. And I hear you and Alan Mayse are getting a tag title shot...

Cynric: Yeah, but you know what? After what's been happening to me lately, I don't want it. Not with Alan.

Fox: I'm right about him, aren't I? You don't think you can win the tag titles with him as your partner. I told you long ago all about Alan, and I told you the truth about that referee being out to get you. If not for him, you'd be the MECCA Champion right now.

Cynric: Yeah...

Fox: I'm not one to normally complain about a bad hand in life, but my brother, you got outright screwed at Snowed In. It was obvious to anyone that Stone was tapping to the sharpshooter.

Cynric: Well, I can't do anything about that right now. I lost my spot on the Contender Star to you, remember?

Fox: I do remember, and that's why I'm here. You see, normally I do what I have to do to win, but I realized last week that what I did was exactly what I've been accusing everybody else of doing. I screwed you over. And instead of apologizing, I've decided to actually make it right. I just spoke with Katie Piehl, and I had the decision of our match last week reversed. That means that you are the winner by disqualification, and you keep your spot on the Contender Star. As for looking for someone to tag with... well, happy hunting.

(Fox turns to leave.)

Cynric: Hey, bro!

Fox: What?

Cynric: Thanks.

(Commercial Break)

(Nykk is pacing back and forth in front of some equipment boxes when Lisa Letty walks up.)

Lisa: Nykk! I'm so sorry about Snowed In, I really wasn't thinking...

Nykk: I've been looking all over for you. You scared me half to death when you got knocked down by Haas, and then you hightailed it out of there after the match. Are you okay?

Lisa: Please don't be mad at me for costing you the match... wait, what?

Nykk: Are you okay? When you didn't return my calls, I started to worry.

Lisa: I've been fine, I just thought you'd be angry with me about the match.

Nykk: Who cares about the match? I'm just relieved that you're okay.

Lisa: That's so sweet of you... but what about Haas?

Nykk: Haas... well, we're not going to get anywhere with this cornerwoman stuff.

Lisa: We?

Nykk: Yeah, we're in this together, aren't we?

Lisa: Of course.

Nykk: Then I think it's high time we did something about it.

(Katie Piehl walks up.)

Katie: Sorry for interrupting.

Nykk: No problem, Katie. What's going on?

Katie: Well, I've got some good news for both of you. As you know, Go Time: Night of Champions is next week, and I've been looking over the win/loss records from last year... and Nykk, since the UK Wrecking Crew already have a title to defend and Kevin Stone is already MECCA Champion, that means you're the highest ranked MECCA wrestler on the list. Lisa, the same goes for you, you were right at the top of the ladies' list. That means that next week, you both will be getting title shots... Nykk against Kevin Stone for the MECCA Championship, and Lisa Letty against Gail Kim for the Ladies' Championship.

Lisa: That's awesome!

Katie: Yes, congratulations to both of you. I'll be seeing you later.

(She leaves.)

Nykk: See, it worked out in the end. Next week, I'm taking back what Charlie Haas cost me at New Year's Knockout, and I'm sure you'll win back that Ladies' Title and dominate once again.

Lisa: If we both win titles next week, they'll be calling us a golden couple.

Nykk: Couple?

(Nykk looks at her a little oddly and walks away. Lisa sighs.)

(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid and the Ballard Brothers make their way to the ring.)

David: Next week is the Night of Champions, and we just found out two of the title matches. Nykk will take on Kevin Stone for the MECCA Championship, and Lisa Letty will challenge Gail Kim for the Ladies' Championship.

Dick: We did have a tag title match, but with Cynric saying he doesn't want to team with Alan Mayse, what's going to happen there?

("Fire" by Scooter hits and the Pyro Twins and Eddie Crowe make their way to the ring.)

David: Eddie, Dusty and Jay, or the EDJ for short, are set for six-man action.

Dick: Eddie, Dusty and Trent have all advanced in the Toughman Tournament, and their matches will happen in the coming weeks, but for now the EDJ wants to show that they are unified.

(FINISH: Acid goes for the Yakuza Kick on Eddie, but he catches Acid in a high leg cradle and dumps him over the top rope. Dusty catches him in a powerbomb position, but instead swings him around into the guardrail. Shannon attacks Eddie from behind and whips him into the ropes, but Eddie reverses, and Shannon charges right into Final Darkness from the Pyro Twins as Eddie gives Shane a Backslide Bomb. The EDJ gives Shane their powerbomb/double stomp/flatliner sequence and Eddie covers for the three count.)

Winners: The EDJ

David: The EDJ pick up the victory with some of that deadly triple team offense, and whoever comes out on top after the Night of Champions better be looking out for these three.

Dick: Eddie Crowe has been improving by leaps and bounds over the last year, and may be ready to make a run at some gold. He's already off to a good start in the Toughman Tournament.

David: Speaking of which, our first quarter-final match is up next. Don't go away.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Gail Kim is with Katie Piehl in her office.)

Katie: I suppose you know why you're here right now.

Gail: Because of what went down at Snowed In, right? Look, I didn't order Shadow to interfere in the match. Believe what you want, but I was ready to kick out, I promise you that.

Katie: So you've got something to prove, then? Good, because I fully expect you to give Kelly a rematch at Bloody Valentine.

Gail: I don't have to prove a thing. I'm the Ladies' Champion. Kelly may have beaten me by DQ, but I don't believe that she deserves another shot at me.

Katie: At this point, I don't really care what anyone in the Dangerous Liaison believes. But seeing as there's no contender system for the Ladies' Title, I won't force you to defend it against Kelly. However, I will force you to give her an opportunity to earn another shot. That's why I'm taking you, the champ, Kelly Schweickart, and the lady you beat at New Year's Knockout, Zoe Alexander, and I'm making a Triangle Match for Bloody Valentine. And if you take the fall in that match, the victor will get a shot at the Ladies' Championship at our next televised FSN event, Melee. That's of course provided you get past Lisa Letty next week, and if you don't then the match will be to decide who gets the shot against her at Melee.

Gail: Don't worry about Lisa Letty. I've beaten her before, and I have no problem doing it again. A Triangle Match is fine with me, because all I've got to do is stay out of the way and let...

Katie: Hello! If you take the fall, you own up to a title shot. Zoe and Kelly aren't going to be gunning for each other, Ms. Kim. Good luck.

(Katie leaves the office.)

Gail: Goddamn it, she's right.

(In the arena, "Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards his way to the ring.)

David: It's time for the Toughman Tournament to continue, and we also have our first match for Bloody Valentine. Gail Kim vs. Zoe Alexander vs. Kelly Schweickart, and if Kim takes the fall, the winner will get a title shot at Melee.

Dick: Right now Joey Sprinklers is thinking about gold too, but he's got an old friend about to come out.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: It was September 27, 2005 when Joey scored his first victory here in MECCA after a phenomenal losing streak, and it was a fluke victory over this man. It enraged Low Ki to the point where he chased Joey for two months before getting him in the ring back at No Regrets, where he beat him. But Joey gave Low Ki the fight of his life.

Dick: They look like they're about to get into it again.

(Low Ki goes right for Joey and pushes him back with his forehead. Joey responds with right hands, and they duke it out as "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse charges down to the ring.)

David: They're starting already, and Alan Mayse wants some of it too!

(FINISH: Joey goes for Da Sprinklanator off the top rope on Low Ki, but Ki headbutts him and then applies the Hanging Dragon. Mayse bounces off the ropes and dropkicks them both. Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb on Ki, but Ki counters with a backdrop. Alan goes for a sunset flip out of the backdrop, but Low Ki gives him a double stomp to the chest. He applies the Dragon Clutch, but right before Alan taps, Joey puts Alan's foot over the bottom rope. Alan taps, but since his foot was on the rope first, the ref makes Ki break the hold. Ki thinks he's won and raises his arms, but Joey schoolboys him for a close two count. Alan hits Joey with a running knee, sending him through the ropes and to the apron. Ki kicks Alan in the back and then kicks him in the chest. As Joey stands up on the apron, Ki attempts to whip Alan into him. Alan reverses, and Low Ki sends Joey sailing off the apron with the Tidal Crush. However, he gets tangled in the ropes and loses his balance, allowing Alan to roll him up and bridge for the three count.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

David: Alan took advantage of a misstep by Low Ki and picked up the victory!

Dick: If not for Joey's quick thinking, Low Ki would have won, and I would think that once Ki sees what happened, Joey may have to be on the run for another two months.

(They show a replay on the video wall, and Low Ki looks on. When it's finished, he stares down Joey, who tries to quietly back up the aisle. Low Ki follows, yelling at him as Alan gets a mic.)

Alan: What you've just seen right here is the start of my quest for gold here in MECCA! I was going to try and make it a triumvirate, but apparently Cynric doesn't feel that I'm a good enough partner for him. Well, I'm sorry you feel that way Cynric, but I'm planning on being a champion of champions here in MECCA. It's going to happen when I become the first Toughman Champion, but next week, I've got a match with Charlie Haas. And if I win that match, that means I'm back on the Contender Star. And when that happens, you can bet that I will lay down a challenge to the MECCA Champion for Bloody Valentine! And when I win the MECCA Championship, I will then go on to win the Toughman Championship, and show that the best wrestler in MECCA is also the toughest. If it's Kevin Stone or Nykk, it doesn't matter to me. 2006 is my year, and I stake my claim as the best starting right now!

("Seven Nation Army" plays and Alan exits the ring.)

David: Alan plans on becoming MECCA Champion as well, and he could damn sure do it. Still to come, the tag titles will be on the line, but up next, Nykk will be in action.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Blue Crush - Winning the Rainbow" is playing and Keiji Sakota is in the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and Keiji Sakota is here in Pittsburgh.

Dick: He and his partner Katsushi Takemura had a rough night at Snowed In when they lost to the Pyro Twins, but Sakota's biggest challenge is in front of him right now.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: Nykk is coming off a loss to Charlie Haas at Snowed In, thanks mainly to some inadvertent interference from Lisa Letty, who was trying to get to Jackie.

Dick: Nykk needs to get back on the winning track, as he was denied Haas's spot on the Contender Star. But you can bet his feud with Haas is far from over.

(FINISH: Sakota goes for a Tornado DDT, but Nykk throws him off. He blocks a roaring elbow and dropkicks the knee. He goes for the Cedarleaf, but Sakota kicks him into the ropes and gets a drop toehold. He bounces off the ropes, but Nykk ducks a clothesline and gives him the Trinity, bridging for the three count.)

Winner: Nykk

David: Nykk picks up the victory, but Sakota put up a hell of a fight. He actually looks like he impressed Nykk.

Dick: Impressing the boss is a good way to find your way on the full time roster, and though Nykk doesn't have booking power, he does have a lot of say in the scouting of talent.

David: Up next, the tag team belts are on the line as the UK Wrecking Crew defend against the Eccentrics.

(Backstage, Trent Acid is walking down a hallway, fuming. He bumps into Matt Sydal.)

Sydal: Excuse me.

Acid: What the hell are you so happy about?

Sydal: I earned a spot on the MECCA roster a week ago, and advanced in the Toughman Tournament!

Acid: So what? I advanced in the Toughman Tournament too, and rest assured, if we meet, I'm taking you down, new boy.

Sydal: You know... I may be the new guy, but if you want to fight, I'll be more than happy to give you one.

(They stare each other down.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for our main event here in Pittsburgh, as the Eccentrics attempt to become the MECCA Tag Team Champions once again.

Dick: As unorthodox and unthreatening as they look, keep in mind that they are the only team to actually hold the titles other than the UK Wrecking Crew.

("Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, along with the Grenadiers.)

David: As always, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher are accompanied by those Grenadiers, who are on the lookout should the Pyro Twins attempt to assault the tag team champs.

Dick: They wrestled singles matches at Snowed In, with mixed results. Andy Nathans beat Eddie Crowe to regain his Contender Star status, but Jack Fletcher lost to Joey Sprinklers, though they got their shots in on him afterward.

(FINISH: Huh whips Fletcher into the corner, and Cheesecake whips Nathans into him. Cheesecake charges and hits a double high knee to Nathans. He staggers out of the corner as Huh goes for an avalanche on Fletcher. Fletcher moves as Cheesecake gives Nathans a German suplex, bridging for the pin. Fletcher breaks up the pin, and hammers on Cheesecake's back with forearms. He goes for a clothesline, but Cheesecake ducks and picks him up, ramming him into the corner so that he's straddling the second turnbuckle. Cheesecake hits a lung blower out of the corner as Ronin Fox makes his way to ringside. Cheesecake mule kicks Nathans and hits the Long Kiss Goodnight. He covers, but Nathans gets a foot on the bottom rope. Fox drags Huh from the ring while the ref is preoccupied and rams him into the guardrail. Cheesecake sees him and goes out after Fox. Referee David Bowers tries to get in between them, and Cheesecake falls victim to a double baseball slide from the UKWC. As the ref tells Nathans and Fletcher to wait until he restores order, Fox rolls Cheesecake back in. The UKWC hit the Wrecking Ball, and Fletcher covers for the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

David: Nathans and Fletcher retain, and it looks like Fox is not done with the Eccentric Alliance just yet, Huh and Cheesecake in particular.

Dick: He did beat Huh at Snowed In, but was run off by Cheesecake. As much as he's a loner, he's going to have to find a partner eventually if he wants to win against the Eccentrics.

(Fox flips Huh and Cheesecake off and then backs up the aisle, disappearing through the curtain. Huh and Cheesecake stagger after him as Nathans grabs a mic.)

Nathans: We have just proven once again that here in MECCA, there is truly no one that is on par with us. Here we are, against the team that gave us our one "loss," and we've once again beaten them to retain the MECCA Tag Team Championship. Who's left to face us? The Pyro Twins? Trust us, Jay and Dusty, you don't want any of this.

Fletcher: It's real simple. These belts are ours for as long as we want them, and they might as well be renamed the UKWC Tag Team Championship. But with that said, the reason we're...

("Noots" hits and interrupts him, and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring. The Grenadiers, however, stand in his path.)

Fletcher: No, no, it's okay. Let him through. Let him through!

(The Grenadiers part and Eddie walks down to the ring.)

David: Eddie Crowe is out here now, but his attempt at revenge against the UK Wrecking Crew didn't go too well. Now he's walking right into a hornet's nest.

Dick: And the Pyro Twins won't be able to save him, because you know that the Grenadiers won't let them through.

Nathans: You back for more, sunshine?

Eddie: I have to admit, I made a mistake with you two. I underestimated you two. When you turned on me and destroyed SELF, I underestimated you. And this past Saturday, I underestimated you especially, Nathans. I didn't underestimate your abilities; I think I have a pretty good grasp on that. What I didn't see was just how sneaky and underhanded and cowardly you two really are. And I could have a rematch with you, but I decided that if I truly want to hurt you two, I'm going to do it by taking those titles! And I have Jay and Dusty's blessing on this, since they can't seem to get a shot at you right now. So what I'm asking you to do is to own up and prove that you truly are the best tag team by accepting my challenge. No Grenadiers, no outside interference, let's just see how good you actually are.

Fletcher: Are you loony? The way I see it, your brother and Dusty can't save you right now... you don't have a partner... and you don't deserve a shot at these titles that we've made prestigious. But what you have earned, mate, is a beating for interrupting our mic time.

(Nathans and Fletcher attack Eddie and pummel him with rights. They give him the Crane Swing and add in some stomps. However, Joey Sprinklers suddenly runs in through the crowd and slides into the ring. He clotheslines Nathans and kicks Fletcher, giving him Da Sprinklanator. The Grenadiers jump in, but Joey grabs Eddie and they roll out of the ring, avoiding them. They back up the aisle, and Joey has the mic.)

Joey: I gotta admit, youse guys did a number on me on Saturday. But ya know, that was a big mistake, because now I have just as much incentive to get you back as this guy does! So Eddie, thanks to them, I'm also in need of a partna. Whaddya say?

(He extends his hand, and Eddie shakes it.)

David: How about that? Eddie laid down a challenge, and now he has his partner!

Joey: UK Wrecking Crew, be prepared to have your knees broken. Because when Eddie and I get the shot, you're looking at your new MECCA Tag Team Champions!

("Hit That" plays as the UK Wrecking Crew looks on.)

David: We've seen the formation of a new duo here on Go Time, and they're hell bent on becoming MECCA Tag Team Champions! Perhaps they'll get the shot next week on Go Time: Night of Champions? Who knows! We'll see you next week, fans.
