Go Time: 12/28/05

Frankfort, KY

Quick Rundown Results:
Dangerous Liaison b. Letty/Schweickart/Alexander
Eddie Crowe b. Shannon Ballard
Alan Mayse b. Jack Fletcher

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Just two days away from New Year's Knockout on December 30, MECCA is bridging the holidays with Go Time, right here in Frankfort, Kentucky! I'm David Mills, he's Dick Broccoli, and tonight the MECCA Champion Kevin Stone will warm up for his match with Nykk at New Year's Knockout by taking on one of the newest arrivals to the Contender Star, Delirious!

Dick: That will be a non-title match, but also tonight, the Toughman Tournament begins. It's a long and hard road for the twenty-four competitors that will be participating, but three of the first round matches will take place as Joey Sprinklers battles Andy Nathans, Alan Mayse takes on Shannon Ballard and Low Ki goes at it with Anubis!

David: Also, since the Toughman Tournament will not interfere with a competitor's regular schedule, we'll see Mayse and Nathans in action again tonight, as Mayse teams with Cynric and Nykk to take on the UK Wrecking Crew and Charlie Haas in six-man action!

("Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring, with about half the Grenadiers.)

David: Speaking of Nathans, he's set to kick off the Toughman Tournament right now.

Dick: He's definitely tough, but is he tough enough to go all the way to the MECCA Challenge on April 29 to win the title?

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring.)

David: Joey has his own tough match ahead of him at New Year's Knockout when he faces Charlie Haas, but tonight is Joey's first opportunity for singles gold.

Dick: He's up against one half of the tag champions, though. I don't know if Joey is prepared for this challenge.

(FINISH: Joey goes for Da Sprinklanator, but Nathans escapes and gives him a release German suplex. He places Joey on the top turnbuckle and goes for London Bridge is Falling Down, but Joey headbutts him and sends him back to the mat. Nathans gets up, but Joey rolls him up with a sunset flip from the top and gets the three count.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers

David: Joey Sprinklers pulls off the upset! He'll go on to one of the Triangle Matches in the next round!

Dick: But Andy Nathans keeps his spot on the Contender Star. These tournament matches don't interfere with that.

(Nathans goes for Joey, but he rolls out of the ring and grabs his skateboard. He skates away through the crowd as the Grenadiers make a lunge for him.)

David: Joey escapes a beating by the skin of his teeth, but Nathans has blown his shot at the Toughman Title.

(Backstage, Ronin Fox is sitting in the hallway by himself when Cynric comes up and sits next to him.)

Cynric: So bro, how's this new philosophy working out for you? You lost to Nykk at No Regrets, and you just lost your spot on the Contender Star last week. You must be flying high.

Fox: Leave me alone, will you? I'll make up for it in the Toughman Tournament. Right now, I've got something on my mind other than gold.

(He gets up and spots Cheesecake, who is standing at the concession table. Concession Boy is holding a Snapple just out of his reach.)

Cheesecake: Come on, I'm really thirsty!

CB: Unless you have the four dollars that this costs, I can't give it to you.

Cheesecake: Four dollars! That'th outrageous! What is thi'th, Woodstock?

CB: If you can't afford it, there's always the soy milk in that vending machine over there.

(Cheesecake hesitates and then reluctantly reaches into his pocket. He gives CB four dollars, and snatches the Snapple. Fox, watching the whole exchange, just shakes his head. Cheesecake opens the bottle and Fox walks up to him and slaps the bottle away. It shatters before Cheesecake can take a sip.)

Cheesecake: Hey!

Fox: You want to make a fool out of me? I guess it's real funny that I lost to that clueless freak last week, wasn't it? If it wasn't for you, he'd be the fifth turnbuckle post right now. So I'm going to take it out of your ass! How's this Friday suit you?

Cheesecake: You can take it out of my ass anytime. I'm free this Friday, so I figure we can catch an early dinner...

Fox: I meant New Year's Knockout, you imbecile! I want you in a match so I can show the world that Ronin Fox will not roll over and play dead.

Cheesecake: You don't have to roll over, baby, we can do it with you on your back right in the middle of the ring in two day'th!

(Fox tries to deduce if he's accepted the challenge or not.)

Fox: Well... fine. But I'm warning you, I'm in a really bad mood. They're going to be scooping you out of the ring with a shovel this Friday.

(Fox walks away.)

Cheesecake: Feisty.

(He turns back to Concession Boy.)

Cheesecake: I'll take another Snapple...

CB: Sorry, I'm on break.

(He puts a 'Back in Five Minutes' sign on the table and then starts to walk away. However, he casts a suspicious glance at Cheesecake then comes back. He gathers up all the Snapple in his arms and takes it with him.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Goon's Theme Remix" is playing and Shannon Ballard is in the ring.)

David: We're back with more first round action in the Toughman Tournament, and Shannon Ballard is gearing up for his opportunity at gold.

Dick: The interesting thing about this tournament is we could see Shannon vs. Shane in the finals. It probably won't happen, but it could.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: As if the pressure to do well in this tournament wasn't enough, Alan Mayse and Cynric have an opportunity at tag team gold this Friday when they take on the UK Wrecking Crew live on pay-per-view.

Dick: At least Alan doesn't have to worry about any hockey players backing up Shannon or anything.

(FINISH: Shortly into the match, Shannon goes for a splash in the corner, but Alan moves. He kicks Shannon, hits the Tiger Bomb, and pins him.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

David: Mayse finishes the job in short order, and thus saves his energy for the six-man tag later on.

Dick: We now know that Alan and Joey are two thirds of the first Triangle Match, but we'll have to await the winner of Low Ki/Anubis to know the last man.

David: And we'll have that match when we come back.

(Backstage, Lisa Letty is coming out of the women's locker room when Nykk passes her in the hall.)

Lisa: Oh! Nykk, you have a minute?

Nykk: Sure.

Lisa: Listen, I didn't see you around last week, so I just wanted to say this. Thank you for coming to help me. If you hadn't come down when you did, who knows how badly Kevin would have hurt me.

Nykk: Well, we can't have one of our star ladies on the shelf, can we?

(He goes to leave, but Lisa grabs his arm.)

Lisa: No, really, thank you. You were like a knight in shining armor, and I just wanted you to know that I appreciate it.

(She gives him a hug.)

Nykk: Well, uh... you're... welcome, Lisa. Listen, maybe we could get together sometime, you know, and get to know each other outside of work.

Lisa: That would be great...

Nykk: Yeah, we could play video games, or shoot some pool, whatever. Hang out. See you later, then.

(He walks away. Lisa marvels at how obtuse he is.)

Lisa: Every girl's dream. (calls after him) Hey, when you go up against Kevin this Friday, hit him really hard for me just once, okay?

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Low Ki.)

Bill: Low Ki, you return to MECCA tonight after being absent for the past few weeks, and you will be competing in your first round match for the Toughman Tournament. How adamant are you about being the first Toughman Champion?

Low Ki: I think I have proven since I came onto the scene in MECCA almost a year ago that I am the toughest professional wrestler out there right now. So who better to legitimize this new title? Anubis is a big man. He's 6'7'', over 300 lbs., but he is still green. And tonight, when I'm through with him, I am going to make the red ooze from his skull so that his holiday ensemble will be complete.

(Low Ki leaves.)

(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)

David: One half of the Killer Kanines, Anubis, is set for action in the Toughman Tournament.

Dick: Anubis, of course, is the Egyptian god of the dead, and he will be facing Low Ki, also the name of the trickster of Norse fame. We have a battle of mythological proportions right here on Go Time!

David: The big Egyptian is trying to make an impact as part of a tag team, but has the chance here to... whoa, look out!

(Low Ki comes running down the aisle and clotheslines Anubis from behind, knocking off his jackal headpiece. Anubis uses the guardrail to get up as Low Ki lays in some kicks to the chest. Anubis fights back with right hands, and they exchange strikes on the floor.)

David: Low Ki didn't want to wait for this match to get started. He's taking it to the big man!

(They exchange chops at ringside, and Anubis ducks a kick and gives Low Ki the Ankh Smash. He tries to whip Low Ki into the guardrail, but Low Ki reverses. Anubis hits the guardrail and sails over it, landing in the first row. Low Ki picks Anubis up, but Anubis powers him into the air and throws him back to ringside. He clotheslines Low Ki and throws him into the ring as the bell finally rings to start the match.)

(FINISH: Low Ki and Anubis never manage to keep it in the ring. They brawl all over the place until finally Anubis gets the advantage. He whips Low Ki into the ropes and puts his head down, but Low Ki kicks him in the face. Two kicks to the chest and a Tidal Wave stagger Anubis, and a standing enzugiri brings him to his knees. Low Ki pounds the mat and prepares for a kick to the back of the head, but Anubis hits a low blow and referee David Bowers calls for the bell.)

Winner: Low Ki

David: Low Ki is victorious by disqualification and will continue on in the Toughman Tournament. What a knock-down, drag out that was. That's the kind of style you can expect to see from this new division.

Dick: I can't wait to see more of it then. Low Ki had the better of Anubis near the end, but Anubis was able to hang tough. I can see big things in the future for this kid.

(Anubis tries to leave, but Low Ki dives off the apron onto him, and they continue the fight until the Wild Wolf and some officials come out to break it up.)

David: This is getting out of hand! When we come back, it will be Nykk, Alan Mayse and Cynric against the UK Wrecking Crew and Charlie Haas in six-man action!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Gail Kim, Misery and Shadow are lying in wait around the building's exit.)

Gail: Okay, we're going to send a little message to Zoe Alexander going into New Year's Knockout. Shadow, Misery, you two wait outside, just behind those doors. When I give the word, I'll let Zoe walk through and right into your clutches.

Misery: You got it.

(She and Shadow go outside the double doors of the exit and wait behind them. A few moments later, Zoe Alexander walks up carrying her things.)

Gail: Where do you think you're going, Zoe?

Zoe: Back to the hotel, since I've already wrestled on the Rundown taping.

Gail: No, no, you see, I just wanted you to know something before you challenge me this Friday. No one, and I do mean no one, will take this belt from me. If you thought this liaison was dangerous before, you haven't seen anything yet, especially with me in charge. So you go on back to the hotel, because real champions stay until the last match is over. I guess you just aren't up to the challenge yet.

(She stands aside to let Zoe go through, but she doesn't go.)

Zoe: I guess you really expect me to walk through those doors and get beaten down by your cronies. Well, it isn't going to happen. You see, Gail, real champions have the ability to think ahead.

(At that, Heather Star and Kelly Schweickart run up from both sides and slam the doors open, right into the faces of Shadow and Misery. Zoe hits Gail with some right hands and then throws her into the wall to take her down as Heather and Kelly fight with Shadow and Misery, who quickly retreat.)

Zoe: I'll see you at New Year's Knockout, champ.

(In the arena, "Liberi Fatali" hits and Charlie Haas and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, accompanied by the Grenadiers.)

David: Zoe Alexander is ready for her Ladies' Title Match against Gail Kim at New Year's Knockout, but that's not the only title on the line. The UK Wrecking Crew, who are on their way out for six-man action, will defend the belts against Cynric and Alan Mayse.

Dick: Plus Eddie Crowe returns to pay-per-view to take on former SELF follower Trent Acid.

David: And the man in the ring himself, Charlie Haas, will battle Joey Spinklers in his pay-per-view debut here in MECCA.

Dick: And we just found out tonight that Cheesecake will take on Ronin Fox.

David: And in the main event, it is a return match for the MECCA Championship as Nykk challenges the MECCA Monster Kevin Stone.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk, Alan Mayse and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: This trio is looking for gold come New Year's Knockout, but keep in mind that Alan, as well as Nathans, have already wrestled once tonight. Will their fatigue be a factor in this match?

Dick: Anytime there's a situation where you're forced to wrestle more than once, fatigue is going to be a factor, mental as much as physical. Their only consolation is that this match is a six-man and therefore a lot of the pressure is off of them.

(FINISH: Nykk makes the tag to Cynric, who takes down Haas and Fletcher with rolling koppo kicks. He hits Nathans with a spinning heel kick, and then backdrops Fletcher. He gives Fletcher the Lift Off, but Haas breaks up the pin attempt. A brawl erupts, and Nathans manages to give Alan a low blow, undetected by referee Matt Hitchcock. He and Fletcher go for the Wrecking Ball, but Nykk intercepts Fletcher with a running back elbow and then goes outside to deal with Haas as Cynric dropkicks Nathans through the ropes. Cynric and Alan give Fletcher the Tiger Bomb/Shock Cannon combo, and Cynric covers for the three count.)

Winners: Nykk, Cynric and Alan Mayse

David: Cynric just pinned one of the tag champs, and if that happens in two days, we will have new MECCA Tag Team Champions.

Dick: Cynric and Alan may very well be the UK Wrecking Crew's toughest challenge to date, surpassing even the Eccentrics, who beat them for their titles. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

David: Up next is our main event, but right now David Caldwell is standing by with our MECCA Champion.

(Backstage, David Caldwell is with Kevin Stone.)

Caldwell: Kevin, tonight you squash that lizard Delirious under your heel and then go on to make your first title defense against the man who you beat for the MECCA Championship, Nykk, at New Year's Knockout. Just how ready are you to begin your reign?

Stone: Caldwell, when I won the title from Nykk, it was the greatest moment in my career. After being overshadowed and overlooked for months, on my first one on one try, I beat the MECCA Champion and claimed the top prize. Nykk, you can't dodge the fact that you can't beat me. This title is going nowhere, and nothing is going to stop me from being the longest reigning of MECCA's first three champions. And Delirious, I don't even know if you'll understand what I'm saying right now, but you picked the wrong time to luck your way onto the Contender Star. This isn't a title match, and unless you can get some wins over other top contenders, you won't even be considered for one. I'm ready to go out there and beat you down as an example, and I just hope that you're ready to receive your mercy killing.

(Commercial Break)

(In her office, Katie Piehl is talking to Concession Boy.)

Katie: I understand what you're saying, it's just that there's no room on the pay-per-view for you two. Now that Fox and Cheesecake have a match, you'll just have to wait for next time.

CB: Come on, Katie, just one more tag match? Dreamo and I need to make an impact and what better way to do it than with the entire world watching? Haven't I been working hard enough selling concessions for you?

Katie: Well, our merchandise revenue did go up last month... all right, how about this? One more match is added to New Year's Knockout. The Concession Dream Team against the team that beat you in their debut match... the Killer Kanines!

CB: Ja, that sounds good. We've been waiting for our chance at a little payback.

Katie: Well, good luck. Based on what I saw from Anubis tonight, you're going to need it.

CB: Thank you, Ms. Piehl. We won't disappoint.

Katie: Just make sure that every fan in that building walks away with something from the merchandise table.

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: One more match is on for New Year's Knockout in two days, and it will be the Killer Kanines vs. The Concession Dream Team. Right now, it's time for our main event, which will be non-title as Stone is set to defend the belt against Nykk in Indianapolis.

Dick: He had some strong words for both Nykk and his opponent tonight earlier on. I think Kevin's ready to begin his title reign.

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: Delirious managed to get a spot on the Contender Star last week with a victory over Ronin Fox, which led to Fox challenging Cheesecake for New Year's Knockout.

Dick: He may be on the Contender Star, but Delirious has a long way to go if he wants a MECCA Championship match. A victory over the champion would be one way to earn that.

(FINISH: Stone dominates the match until Delirious gives him a drop toehold onto the second turnbuckle. Stone gets up, pissed, and Delirious lures him into charging into the corner, where he hits Stone with some fast strikes to the throat. He goes to the top rope as Kevin staggers out of the corner and gives him a missile dropkick from behind. Stone falls to the mat and sits up in the corner, only to get a Panic Attack from Delirious. He bounces off the ropes again, but Stone gives him a big boot. Stone grabs him by the mask and starts hammering him in the face with right hands. He turns Delirious's mask all the way around and just pummels him with rights and lefts. Delirious gets up and takes some wild swings, but Kevin easily avoids them and knees Delirious in the midsection. He hits him with more shots to the ribs and face and hits a spinning clothesline to the back of Delirious's head, knocking him out. Stone turns him over and covers for the pin.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: Stone didn't even go for any of his finishers. He was so pissed that he just beat the crap out of Delirious.

Dick: You don't want to mess with the MECCA Champion. Stone just proved exactly why he's at the top here in MECCA.

(Stone ties Delirious up in the ropes and then goes outside to get a chair. He prepares to smash it into Delirious's head.)

David: Okay, that's enough. We get it. We need some officials out here before Stone seriously hurts Delirious!

(Nykk runs down and grabs Stone's ankles. Stone falls to the mat, his face smashing into the chair. Nykk gets into the ring and attacks Stone just as officials pour into the ring to separate the two. Stone gets up and starts flinging officials out of the way as they try and get to each other.)

David: The former MECCA Champion is out here, and he may have just saved Delirious's career! What will happen in the rematch in just two days? Fans, we'll see you live on pay-per-view for New Year's Knockout on December 30!
