Quick Rundown Results:
Shane Ballard b. Jay Crowe
Nykk b. Trent Acid
Dusty Schneble b. Delirious, Anubis
Lisa Letty b. Shadow
("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to another edition of Go Time, and happy holidays everybody! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we are live here at the Bingham Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky. We have another big tag team main event for you this week as Kevin Stone has requested to get his hands on Nykk before New Year's Knockout, because of what Nykk did last week.
Dick: Nykk provoked the MECCA Monster by hitting him with a chair, and tonight Nykk will team with Joey Sprinklers to take on Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas!
David: Also on tap, one half of the MECCA Tag Team Champions, Andy Nathans, takes on Cynric in singles action.
Dick: And I don't know how they managed this, but in a match that's hardly fair, we'll have a "Triangle" Match between the Eccentrics, the Concession Dream Team and the Killer Kanines.
David: All that and more tonight on the holiday edition of Go Time!
("My Friend of Misery" hits and Misery makes her way to the ring.)
David: The ladies of MECCA are all vying for a position to challenge Gail Kim for the Ladies' Title. Misery is a member of the Dangerous Liaison, and since it doesn't look like Kim is giving out free shots, she has to work her way up like everyone else.
Dick: Misery feels like she's due for a title shot, but so does this next chick.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Lisa Letty feels as though she should get another shot at the Ladies' Title, but since she lost her rematch to Gail Kim, she has to start working her way up the ladder again.
Dick: From seeing Lisa wrestle this year, I'm sure it won't take her long... wait a minute.
(Just as Lisa gets in the ring, Kevin Stone makes his way down to ringside, with the title over his shoulder.)
David: The MECCA Monster Kevin Stone is down here at ringside, but his match is our main event. We've got the ladies' division in action right now. What's he doing here?
(Stone gets a mic and gets in the ring.)
Stone: Nykk, you think that just because it's your promotion, you can come down and hit me in the head with chairs whenever you feel like it? I know that you're upset that I'm the champ now and you've been knocked out of the top spot, but if you persist in these activities, on December 30, I'm going to have to knock you out of this business! I worked long and hard, and had to put up with a lot of BS to get this title, so don't think that I'm going down yet. This title is staying with me for a long, long time, and at New Year's Knockout, you're through as a contender, and I'm on to bigger and better things.
(Misery taps Stone on the arm, wondering why he's interrupting their match. Stone brushes her off.)
Stone: So on December 30, just after Christmas, we're going to have our own little version of the Twelve Days of Christmas, except this will be the Twelve Ways I Can Hurt Nykk! Ahem... twelve rock-hard right hands... eleven vicious headbutts... ten brutal big boots... nine compressed vertebrae... eight broken fingers... seven torn ligaments... six popped blood vessels... FIIIIVE CON-CUSS-IOOONS!
(Misery taps Kevin on the shoulder, this time harder.)
Stone: The next damn rat that touches me is getting a personal recital of the entire song. Four busted limbs, three herniated disks, two punctured kidneys... AND KEVIN STONE LEAVES AS MECCA CHAMPIOOOON!
David: Stone is no poet, but the message is crystal clear.
Stone: So Nykk, you have only over a week to prepare, because when I'm...
(Misery and Lisa are standing next to each other in disbelief, and Misery suddenly shoves Lisa into Stone. Stone turns on her as Misery bails out of the ring.)
Dick: Uh oh. Stone warned the girls what would happen...
David: Misery did that, not Lisa! Come on, Kevin, let it go!
(Lisa tries to explain the situation as Kevin backs her toward the corner. Stone piefaces her into the turnbuckles, and Lisa crumbles to the mat. Stone stands over her and yells at her to get to her feet, because he has a Christmas present for her. However, Nykk runs down and slides into the ring. He blocks a right from Kevin and hits him with three of his own. Kevin knees him in the midsection and whips him into a corner, but Nykk reverses and hits a running European uppercut. Kevin falls to the mat, and Nykk goes for his running knee, but Stone rolls out under the bottom rope and heads up the aisle, staring back at Nykk.)
David: Stone decided to save his energy for the main event, and thank goodness Nykk came out here to the aid of Lisa Letty, because I think we were about to see a repeat of what happened with Katie Piehl this past summer.
Dick: The owner of MECCA couldn't stand by and watch Lisa get permanently injured. There are medical bills to think about! Yeah, what a hero.
David: I don't think that was Nykk's motivation at all. Certainly he's been eager to get his hands on Stone again, but he wasn't about to let Stone beat up a woman half his size. We'll be right back, fans.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: We're set for a special tag team Triangle Match, as the Wild Wolf and Anubis make their way to the ring.
Dick: They're a new team here in MECCA, but they've already scored an impressive victory over the Concession Dream Team. It will be interesting to see how they fare with the pressure on tonight.
("La Macarena" hits and the Eccentrics and the Concession Dream Team make their way to the ring, along with Delirious and Medea Knight. They're all wearing Santa hats, and Delirious is wearing reindeer antlers. Concession Boy is handing out gifts to the crowd.)
David: The Eccentric Alliance is out here in full force, even Delirious, who will be taking on Ronin Fox later.
Dick: Tell me this is fair. All the Eccentric Alliance members came out together for this "triangle." The Killer Kanines have to fight off two teams now.
David: Another interesting twist is that all of these men will be in the Toughman Tournament, which will start next week on the Go Time before New Year's Knockout. Due to luck of the draw, Dreamo and Concession Boy will even face each other in the first round.
(FINISH: Dreamo and Concession Boy go for the Nocturnal Emission on the Wild Wolf, but Huh breaks it up by pushing Dreamo into CB. CB turns around and asks Dreamo what his problem is. Huh gets in between them, saying it was his fault. Anubis springboards to the top rope and takes out Huh and Dreamo with a flying clothesline, and Wolf rolls up Huh for the three count.)
Winners: The Killer Kanines
David: The Eccentric Alliance let their friendship get in the way of a victory here, and the Killer Kanines were able to take full advantage.
Dick: These guys are pretty opportunistic in the ring, and that's a great quality to have as a competitor.
David: Right now, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Pyro Twins. Let's go to him.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with the Pyro Twins.)
Bill: Jay, Dusty, it's been a happy holiday season for you so far, as you've brought Eddie back into the fold and made peace with him, and now he's gunning for Trent Acid at New Year's Knockout. But tonight, you two will face the Ballard Brothers, who Acid tried to have ambush Eddie a couple of weeks back.
Jay: It's funny, because when we faced them on the very first Go Time on FSN, we beat them up for something that they didn't do. So, Shane and Shannon, we apologize for that. We have a much more legitimate reason for kicking your asses tonight.
Dusty: You Ballards have been listening to Trent Acid lately, the very man who put you in that situation on November 2. Trust us, you don't want to be listening to Acid right now, because Eddie's attention is focused on him, and if you interfere, you will draw our ire. So we figure we'll just take you out of the equation completely.
Jay: Ballards, tonight you feel the burn as we re-establish ourselves in the tag team division and attempt to earn our shot at Nathans and Fletcher, which we should have had a long time ago. And UKWC, don't think we're forgetting about you. If you didn't have those Grenadiers around you at all times, your blood would already be on our hands. But for tonight, Ballards, prepare yourselves, because we're about to give you a nice Christmas vacation.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Jack Fletcher and the Grenadiers.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and we're set for one half of the tag title match at New Year's Knockout to square off.
Dick: The UK Wrecking Crew's real strength is as a team, and though they have some singles wins, they haven't been particularly proficient at it.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Alan Mayse.)
David: On the other hand, both Cynric and Alan Mayse have enjoyed singles success and now have made a decent team. They almost won the tag titles from the UK Wrecking Crew a few weeks ago, but thanks to the Grenadiers, that wasn't to be.
Dick: This is a good opportunity to assess individual weaknesses, and both teams should be taking mental notes.
(FINISH: Cynric gives the Shock Cannon to Nathans and covers, but Fletcher puts Nathans's foot over the bottom rope. Alan chases Fletcher around the ring, and Fletcher eventually rolls inside. Alan goes after him, and Nathans gets into it with Alan as Cynric ascends the turnbuckles. Referee Matt Hitchcock separates the two as Fletcher dropkicks the top rope, crotching Cynric. Nathans goes up and hits London Bridge is Falling Down and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Andy Nathans
David: Andy Nathans steals one after interference from his partner, but this also means that Nathans has taken Cynric's place on the Contender Star!
Dick: Cynric has to be disappointed in that, but could we see Nathans getting a shot at the MECCA Championship down the road? That would be interesting.
(Backstage, Ronin Fox is warming up when the Eccentrics walk by. They snicker at him before leaving.)
Fox: What's so funny?
Huh: Huh?
Fox: Don't "Huh" me, you stupid son of a bitch. What's so funny?
Cheesecake: Calm down, baby, we were ju'th't sharing a jest, that's all.
Fox: Not at my expense you're not.
Cheesecake: Calm down, Fox. I was merely telling my partner that it's pretty sad how you've lost everything in the last month. You lost your fans, you don't have the MECCA Championship and your own brother doesn't even want to team with you.
Fox: And that's funny, huh?
Huh: Huh?
(Fox spits in Cheesecake's face and then smacks Huh before walking off.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox is in the ring.)
David: We're back, and Ronin Fox has already made his way to the ring. What about that exchange between Fox and the Eccentrics before the break? Fox spat in Cheesecake's face and slapped Huh, two people he once considered good friends.
Dick: If foxes had stripes, Ronin Fox has changed his. Not only is he frustrated that he couldn't win the MECCA Championship, but he's lost the support of his friends and brother.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: He's tweakin' out!
Dick: Another Eccentric Alliance member is taking on Fox, and I'm willing to bet the farm that we'll see Huh or Cheesecake at some point during this.
(FINISH: Huh and Cheesecake come out to ringside as Ronin Fox sets Delirious up for the Tail End. Fox stops to tell the Eccentrics to get away, and turns around to be caught with a flying clothesline. Referee David Bowers tells the Eccentrics to beat it as Delirious goes for the Chemical Imbalance #2. Fox flips to his feet and kicks back, low blowing Delirious. He bounces off the ropes and gives him the Tail End. Fox stops to tell Huh and Cheesecake that their pal is getting beaten by him. His jawing with Cheesecake in particular becomes more intense, and he reaches down and slaps him in the face. Delirious gets up and charges Fox, but Fox kicks him. He gets on Delirious's shoulders and goes for a victory roll, but Delirious drops on top of him. The Eccentrics hold Delirious's feet to the mat and he gets the three count.)
Winner: Delirious
David: We have an upset! Ronin Fox just lost to Delirious after getting into it once again with Huh and Cheesecake!
Dick: The Eccentric Alliance cheated! That was dastardly, Mills!
David: You know what this means? We've had another change in the Contender Star as Delirious has bumped off Fox.
Dick: Please. I don't even want to think about that circus reject as MECCA Champion.
(Fox argues with the ref as Delirious celebrates with the Eccentrics at ringside.)
David: The party is on for the Eccentric Alliance, and up next we'll see the Ballard Brothers take on the Pyro Twins.
(In the locker room, Lisa Letty is sitting on a bench looking very depressed when Zoe Alexander enters. She starts getting some of her gear out of her locker.)
Zoe: Hey, Lisa.
Lisa: Zoe, how's it going? Congratulations on getting the title shot against Kim at New Year's Knockout.
Zoe: Thanks. Don't worry, when I win the belt, you're getting the first title shot. You've helped me so much since I've come to MECCA and I... what's wrong?
Lisa: Nothing, it's just that... I've never been intimidated the way I was earlier when Kevin went after me. I've just never felt so helpless.
Zoe: Well, it's a good thing Nykk was watching.
Lisa: Yeah.
Zoe: Don't worry about it. It's wrestling, you have to expect this sort of thing, right?
Lisa: Yeah, you're right. I think I'm going to go find Nykk and thank him. Even if he does have it in for Kevin, he didn't have to come out there when he did.
(She gets up and leaves.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and the Ballard Brothers make their way to the ring.)
David: The Ballard Brothers are set for action, and they were warned earlier about their association with Trent Acid. Jay and Dusty are not about to let them interfere in Eddie's quest for revenge.
Dick: Even so, if the Ballards managed to win here, this would catapult them in the tag team division.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: The Pyro Twins are even more frustrated that they can't get their hands on the UK Wrecking Crew thanks to these new Grenadiers they always have with them.
Dick: They should be thankful. The Grenadiers keep the UKWC from going after the Pyro Twins and embarrassing them in front of the world.
(FINISH: The Pyro Twins give Shannon the Mandate of Heaven and Dusty covers. Referee Keith Young tries to get Jay out of the ring as Shane comes in with their hockey sticks. He hits Dusty over the back and then hands one to Shannon. They get ready to hit Dusty at the same time, but Jay comes back in, and they give Shannon Final Darkness, with Jay kicking his hockey stick back into his face at the same time Dusty sweeps Shane's hockey stick into Shannon's legs. Dusty covers and gets the three count as Jay takes down Shane.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: The Ballards' use of the hockey sticks backfired on them, and we'll just have to wait and see if this convinces them not to interfere with Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid's business.
Dick: That was the best slapshot I've seen in a long time. The Pyro Twins are bound and determined not only to keep the Ballards at bay, but to get that elusive tag title shot against the UK Wrecking Crew.
(Backstage, Joey Sprinklers comes out of the men's room. He's startled by the presence of a camera.)
Joey: Geez, can't a guy get some privacy around this place? What? Whaddya want? You want I should say somethin' for the camera? Somethin' witty? Am I a clown? Do I amuse you? All right, how's about this: at New Year's Knockout, I've got Charlie Haas. Haas is a bigtime superstar in this business, but he's not as tough as he says he is. Tough is not havin' the money to fix your skateboard wheel, so you tape a plastic Playskool steering wheel to the bottom of your board just to get it to move. Tough is not havin' the money to afford grass, and thus, no sprinkler to skate through, so you break out the Slip 'n Slide and hope the neighborhood kids don't see ya. Don't talk to me about tough, Haas. If ya try me on December 30, you might just get a skateboard to da knees. See ya's.
(Joey walks off.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, David Caldwell is standing by with Alan Mayse.)
Caldwell: I'm here with perpetual MECCA failure, Alan Mayse. Mayse, you thought you could dominate here in MECCA just like in RCW, but you failed to realize that two different worlds means that the same strategy doesn't always work. Now you've got a last shot at the tag titles, along with Cynric, at New Year's Knockout. And next week, you go for another title in your first round match in the Toughman Tournament against Shannon Ballard. How are you going to hold up under all this pressure?
Alan: First of all, I never said I would dominate in MECCA. I am perfectly aware of how I've done here, and though I haven't obtained gold yet, I have a feeling that my time is coming. Next week, Shannon Ballard, I will show you exactly what is coming to all the other participants in the Toughman...
(Cynric walks up.)
Cynric: Hold on there, Alan. You know I wish you luck in the Toughman Tournament and all, but in a little over a week, we have a shot at winning the tag titles from the UK Wrecking Crew, titles that should have been ours a few weeks ago. Let's focus on that, all right? I know you'll breeze through Shannon Ballard next week, no problem, but let's concentrate on the UKWC, then worry about meeting each other in the finals of the Toughman.
Alan: You're absolutely right, Cynric. UK Wrecking Crew, you've held those titles for long enough. A new year is coming, and we're going to have new champions to ring it in. On December 30, we'll mow through those Grenadiers like giant blades of red-uniformed grass, and we'll take what's rightfully ours.
(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas make their way to the ring, accompanied by Mrs. Jackie.)
David: It's time for our main event, as Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas will team for the very first time. Of course, Kevin Stone won the MECCA Championship from Nykk two weeks ago, and he did it by himself during the match, but he did get a little bit of an assist when Haas attacked Nykk earlier in the night.
Dick: It was Nykk who struck first, David. He only has himself to blame.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk and Joey Sprinklers make their way to the ring.)
David: Joey Sprinklers will also see action at New Year's Knockout against Charlie Haas, and what about that promo earlier? Joey is seething with confidence now.
Dick: Joey's completely nuts. If Haas can lay out Nykk, Joey doesn't have a chance, even if he did take Low Ki to the limit.
(FINISH: Nykk puts Haas down with a running back elbow and then makes the tag to Joey. They whip Haas into the ropes and put their heads down. Haas kicks Nykk in the face and then DDTs Joey. Stone gives Nykk a big boot that sends him through the ropes. He and Haas whip Joey into the ropes and lift him for a double flapjack, but Joey fights back with right hands while he's up the air. He drops back to his feet and gives Stone a dropkick to the knee. He ducks a clothesline from Haas and stomps his foot. He then gives him Da Sprinklanator, but Stone breaks up the three count. He presses Joey above his head and drops him into a powerslam. Nykk comes back into the ring with a chair and goes for Stone, but Stone sees him coming this time and spears Nykk. Nykk drops the chair, and referee David Bowers tries to make them get out of the ring. While he has his back turned, Haas grabs the chair and cracks it over Joey's head. He hands the chair to Jackie and covers in time to get the three count.)
Winners: Kevin Stone and Charlie Haas
David: Haas and Stone win it after a brutal chairshot to Joey Sprinklers.
Dick: Hey, Nykk was the one that brought it into the ring. He's obsessed with knocking out Stone and taking back that title, but tonight it cost him the match.
David: He and Stone will meet at New Year's Knockout in the main event, and also Joey Sprinklers will take on Charlie Haas. But that's all the time we have this week. Be sure to tune again next week for the final countdown to New Year's Knockout, just two days before Friday, December 30!
