("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Go Time, MECCA fans! We are coming to you from Cincinnati, Ohio, and we're coming off a spectacular show in No Regrets this past Saturday! Nykk defeated Ronin Fox in the Ironman Pendulum Match, but there's no rest for the champ. Right here tonight, he's agreed to put the title on the line against Cheesecake!
Dick: And we have a new Ladies' Champion. Gail Kim defeated Lisa Letty for the title, and we'll hear from her in just a little bit.
David: Plus, Alan Mayse and Cynric won against the Pyro Twins at No Regrets, and tonight they get their tag title shot as promised as they take on the UK Wrecking Crew!
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring, holding up the Ladies' Championship.)
David: It was a proud day for Gail Kim at No Regrets when she won the Ladies' Championship from Lisa Letty and brought the power back to the Dangerous Liaison.
Dick: I do believe that this past Saturday was the first time that Lisa Letty has ever been beaten cleanly here in MECCA.
David: And even in losing, the First Lady of MECCA proved to be valiant, as she never gave up, opting instead to pass out from the pain of Kim's Christo, and the referee was forced to give the match to Gail.
(Gail gets a mic.)
Gail: This past Saturday at No Regrets, I did the unthinkable. I beat Lisa Letty clean in the middle of this ring for the Ladies' Title! Lisa, you were champion for nine months of MECCA's eleven month history. But just like the road to a baby's birth, it took nine months for MECCA's true Ladies' Champion to take her place at the top. Shadow, you're my teammate, and you were the first to beat Lisa, but you needed our help to do it. And quite frankly, you blew it. You promised great things, but within two months, the Dangerous Liaison was back to square one. Now I have the Ladies' Title, and that means that the power of the ladies' division is back in the hands of the Dangerous Liaison. I would advise my three companions to look to me from now on, because I am the woman who can lead us to glory here in MECCA. We are the ones with control now, and I am the one steering the ship. It all comes down to the fact...
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty walks down to the ring.)
David: The First Lady of MECCA has heard enough. Lisa Letty has been the ladies' division all year, and she was finally dethroned at No Regrets. That has to be tough to chew.
Dick: Lisa is not one to rest on her laurels. She could be content with her accomplishments this year, but I'm sure she plans on getting that belt back as soon as possible.
(Lisa gets a mic.)
Lisa: Gail, I do have to hand it you. You did what no one else could do. You took away that Ladies' Championship, and you did it like a real competitor. So let me ask you this: you've already proven that you can hang tough with anyone in the ladies' division, so why is the Dangerous Liaison necessary? Shadow may have needed it for her success, but you all have the ability to succeed without the cheapshots, without the politics and without the unprovoked attacks. I sat in the back and wondered... just what kind of champion will Gail Kim be? Will she be taking on all worthy challengers, or is she just going to give out title shots to her friends? So let me put you right on the spot, Gail... I want my rematch for that Ladies' Title and I want it right now!
David: A rematch tonight!? That would be off the charts! What's Gail going to say?
Gail: Lisa, to answer your question, the Dangerous Liaison is a necessary component, not for success, but to maintain that success. And I plan on being successful for a long time. You'll find that I do things a bit differently than Shadow did. If you want a title match right now... you've got it.
David: Gail Kim has accepted, and this match is on!
Dick: This will mark the first episode of Go Time ever where all of MECCA's titles will be on the line, David!
(FINISH: Kim locks in the Christo, and Lisa tries ramming her into the corner. Kim doesn't let go of the hold. Before she starts to fade, Lisa runs to the ropes and dives through them to the outside. Lisa crashes to the mats, but Gail hangs onto the middle rope and stays on the apron. As Lisa gets up, she jumps to the second turnbuckle, but Lisa pulls her ankles off and Gail clotheslines herself across the top rope. Lisa slides back in and tries to suplex Gail back into the ring. Gail escapes and lands on her feet behind Lisa. She rolls her up with a backslide and puts her feet on the ropes, getting the three count.)
Winner: Gail Kim
David: Gail Kim retains, but what a dastardly way to do it! So much for beating Lisa clean again!
Dick: Gail cheated to win, but that may have been smart on her part. She didn't have weeks to prepare for Lisa like on Saturday, so she might have had to pull out the win by any means necessary to avoid the embarrassment of a short title reign.
David: Lisa Letty is in disbelief of this outcome, and we have to take a commercial break. When we come back, one of the Pyro Twins will finally get his hands on Trent Acid, but we don't know which one!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back on Go Time, and it's time for Acid to face the music after abandoning his supposed friend and teammate Eddie Crowe to the mercy of the UK Wrecking Crew just a few weeks ago.
Dick: Dusty and Jay seem to take it personally that he didn't come to Eddie's defense. I call that unjust resentment.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins come out onto the stage. Jay has a mic.)
David: The Pyro Twins are here, and one of them will be facing Acid, but will it be Jay Crowe or Dusty Schneble?
Jay: Acid, on that day that SELF broke up you proved what we knew about you from the beginning. You are nothing more than a cowardly slug. Well, it's time that you stepped up and took your beating like a man for letting the UK Wrecking Crew take out Eddie like that. Over the last couple of weeks, I admit that Dusty and I did not have our heads in the game, and we ended up losing to Alan Mayse and Cynric this past Saturday. We had other things on our minds. But now, the dust is settled, and everything is water under the bridge. So without further adieu, your opponent for tonight will be...
("The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe comes out onto the stage. He points at Acid and badmouths him before charging the ring.)
David: It's Eddie Crowe! Does this mean that there's been a reconciliation?
Dick: Whatever it means, it definitely means that Acid is in trouble!
(Eddie slides into the ring and goes for Acid, who ducks a clothesline. Eddie accidentally takes out referee Matt Hitchcock and Acid tries to dive through the ropes, but Eddie grabs him by the hair and pulls him back in. He throws Acid into the corner and lays into him with right hands and chops. He whips him into the opposite corner and charges, smashing into him with a forearm strike. He gives Acid a Gutwrench Driver and then goes outside, grabbing a chair. He slides back in and whips Acid into the ropes, but Acid holds on and slides out of the ring. He jumps the guardrail and runs away as Eddie watches him go.)
David: Eddie Crowe has returned to action and it looks like his target is Trent Acid.
Dick: Did you hear the fans when Eddie went after Acid? For the first time in MECCA, the fans are solidly behind Eddie Crowe!
(Eddie gets a mic.)
Eddie: A little over a month ago, I thought I had found the truest friends I could ever have in the wrestling business. Back on November 2, I found out that I could not have found worse enemies. It made me realize that the truest friends I ever had, the only two who ever had my best interests at heart, were Jay and Dusty. Yes, over Thanksgiving there was a reunion in the Crowe household, and Jay and Dusty and I worked out our differences. Now, I truly have a group of friends to watch my back and that I would fight to the death for! Acid, it starts with you for abandoning me when I need you most. And UK Wrecking Crew... after I'm finished with him, it's your turn!
("The Leaving Song Part II" plays as Eddie exits the ring.)
David: Eddie just sent a message to Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, and he is back here in MECCA. When we come back, Kevin Stone will be here to take on Concession Boy!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: Kevin Stone looks angry tonight, and that's because the man he beat at No Regrets, Cheesecake, is getting a title shot against Nykk.
Dick: Yeah, wasn't Stone promised the next title shot if he won at No Regrets? What exactly has Cheesecake done recently to warrant a title match?
David: As far as I know, it was at Nykk's discretion that he made this match tonight.
("The Immigrant Song" hits and Concession Boy makes his way to the ring, selling Cheesecake merchandise.)
David: Fellow Eccentric Alliance member Concession Boy, the Original CB, is rubbing it in by reminding Stone just who is the challenger for the MECCA Championship tonight.
Dick: Concession Boy must have a death wish. Stone is going to brutalize him.
(FINISH: CB goes for the Xander Construction Crash, but Kevin actually catches him on the mat and then stands up. He gives CB a backbreaker across the knee and then swings him around into the Stone Crusher. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
Dick: Can you tell that Stone's just a little upset at the way the card was booked tonight?
David: He should leave the booking to the powers that be and concentrate on his match. You have to hand it to Stone, he's won consistently for about four months now. Our tag title match is up next as the UK Wrecking Crew will defend against Alan Mayse and Cynric!
(In the locker room, Eddie is grabbing his bags from the locker angrily.)
Jay: Calm down, Eddie. There will be plenty of opportunities to get Acid later.
Eddie: That's not what I'm mad about. What I'm really angry about is you two failing to beat Mayse and Cynric on Saturday. Don't you want to get your hands on the UKWC tonight?
Dusty: We were told they have something special planned now that the restraining order has expired. We're waiting to see what that is before we go charging in. Never go to a fight on someone else's terms, Eddie. When the time is right, the UK Wrecking Crew is char-broiled.
Eddie: Once this business with Acid is finished, I'll be more than happy to help you with that.
Jay: We're glad to have you along.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: Alan Mayse and Cynric have been waiting for this opportunity for some time. Alan tried and tried over the summer with three different partners to take the tag titles from the UK Wrecking Crew, but failed. They pretty much told him that they'd accept one more shot from Alan, and he chose Cynric as his partner.
Dick: They got a major win over the Pyro Twins at No Regrets, proving that they can hang with the best tag teams here in MECCA. And the UK Wrecking Crew are coming off a tough title defense against KDX at No Regrets.
("Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring. A small army of security dressed like British Royal Guards escorts them to the ring.)
David: What is this?
Dick: It looks like a bunch of those British guards that aren't allowed to talk!
David: This is not Buckingham Palace, and we're not in London, we're in Cincinnati. What are they doing here?
(Nathans gets a mic.)
Nathans: In case you're wondering what this is all about, as many of you know, as of today our restraining order has expired. And like we said before, we're not afraid of the Pyro Twins, but afraid of what we might do to them. So we placed a call to the Queen of England herself, and she agreed to supply us with a contingent of her Grenadiers to keep the Pyro Twins at bay.
David: What!? One of those guards is Eric Sell, our production assistant. What's he thinking?
Dick: Who are we to doubt the queen? Obviously these guards are out here to keep the Pyro Twins from interfering in the UKWC's business.
David: Just because you're from London doesn't mean you know the queen! Nathans and Fletcher are full of it.
Fletcher: And as for you two chaps, Alan, Cynric... tonight, we prove to you and everyone here what we proved at No Regrets. No matter who we go up against, we will win. These tag team belts are not going anywhere.
(FINISH: The Pyro Twins come out during the match, but the guards hold them at bay. Cynric and Alan give Nathans the Tiger Bomb/Shock Cannon combo, but Fletcher attacks Alan. Cynric gives him a rolling koppo kick as Nathans rolls to the outside. Alan sets Fletcher up for the Tiger Bomb as referee Keith Young tries to get Cynric out of the ring. Nathans grabs a billy club from one of the Grenadiers and rolls into the ring, nailing Alan in the back as he lifts Fletcher. Fletcher counters with a DDT and covers Alan. Young makes the three count as Nathans takes out Cynric with the billy club.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: The UK Wrecking Crew steal another one, this time thanks to those Grenadiers at ringside!
(Nathans and Fletcher get the belts and then have the Grenadiers escort them to the back.)
Dick: Get used to it, David. This is to protect the Pyro Twins, because if they ever got to the UK Wrecking Crew, they'd be carried out on stretchers. You saw what happened the last time the Pyro Twins were in the ring with them.
David: Well, ciao, I guess.
(In the ring, Alan starts to come to, and Cynric asks him what the hell happened. Alan tells him and then asks him where the hell he was. They start arguing back and forth.)
David: Alan and Cynric are hot, and it looks like their tempers are getting the better of them. They were so close to being MECCA Tag Team Champions. Still to come, Nykk will defend his MECCA Championship against Cheesecake!
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are sitting at the announce booth.)
David: Ladies and gentlemen, it's been a crazy night here on Go Time, as we saw the new Ladies' Champion Gail Kim retain against the woman she beat for the title, Lisa Letty. And then, the UK Wrecking Crew not only announced that they've acquired a contingent of "Grenadiers" to "protect the Pyro Twins" but they also used them to steal a victory over Alan Mayse and Cynric. We've still got a title match to come as Nykk defends...
(Suddenly, they notice Charlie Haas and Mrs. Jackie walking to the ring behind them.)
Dick: What's going on now?
David: Charlie Haas is coming out here now, and he doesn't even work here as far as I know! He's been seen in the crowd for the past week, but this is the first time he's actually been backstage... I guess we're going down to the ring.)
(Haas gets a mic.)
Haas: Hey, you people know who I am. For years, I labored on the indies in hopes of getting a contract with WWE along with my brother Russ, God rest his soul. And we succeeded. I became a three-time WWE Tag Team Champion over the course of three years, and what happened? They kicked me to the curb like I was a piece of garbage! And just a few weeks after I married the love of my life, no less. For a while, I didn't even know if I wanted to continue on in the wrestling industry. You see, they obviously didn't recognize the talent that a man like me possesses. They didn't recognize that I'm one of the toughest men to ever set foot in a wrestling ring. So I heard about this new promotion, the stiffest competition, literally and figuratively, called MECCA. And I just had to find out more. So I attended a couple of shows and what did I see? A bunch of guys who couldn't even lace my boots! I went to great lengths to come to an agreement with Katie Piehl to come here, not because you people deserve to see me, but because I'm going to show everyone here in MECCA what toughness really is. Because I'm Charlie Haas, and I kill motherf*$%^@$! So anyone in the back, get out here and face me, because I'm asking for the toughest competitor you've got!
David: How about that? Charlie Haas is going to compete here in MECCA!
Dick: This is big news. I think the title scene just got a lot more interesting with Haas around.
David: Who's going to answer the challenge? Haas asked for the toughest of the tough.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
Dick: Ha.
David: Delirious is out here now, but I don't think he's quite what Charlie Haas and Mrs. Jackie had in mind.
Haas: Is this some kind of joke? I say Kevin Stone, show me what you've got. Cynric, show me what you've got. Nykk, show me what you've got. And they send you? You want to wrestle me?
Delirious: Habata macha sonabicha!
Haas: Well, I guess I didn't do a real great workout today, so I'll take you on. But I'm warning you, kid... you don't know what you're getting into.
(Delirious shows off his "ten-inch pythons" and Haas slaps the taste out of his mouth. Referee Matt Hitchcock comes down and calls for the bell.)
(FINISH: Delirious hits Haas with Shadows Over Hell and covers, but Haas kicks out at two. Delirious sets him up for the Chemical Imbalance #2, but Haas somersaults to his feet and gives Delirious a standing enzugiri, followed by an exploder suplex. He applies the Haas of Pain, and Delirious taps out after a few moments.)
Winner: Charlie Haas
David: Charlie Haas has just won his debut here in MECCA, and you know what? Delirious was on the Contender Star. That means that Charlie Haas is in contention for a title match on his very first night!
Dick: I told you, Charlie Haas is the real deal. He just breezed through Delirious, and I'm sure he's got his eye on the MECCA Championship.
(Jackie hands Haas the mic.)
Haas: Like I said... I'm here to show you what toughness is all about. I've had one match, and I'm already in line for a title shot. MECCA, this may be a joke to you, but I'm deadly serious. Nykk or Cheesecake, it's a given. I'm coming after one of you. The only real question is, which will it be? I may have carved a niche for myself here tonight, but next week... I really make an impact.
David: We'll be right back with our main event. Cheesecake challenges Nykk for said MECCA Championship when we return!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, David Caldwell is standing by with Joey Sprinklers.)
Caldwell: Joey Sprinklers, at No Regrets you faced Low Ki one on one. Even though you were terrified, even though you were a nervous wreck, you persevered, you fought with all your heart, you showed guts that few have ever shown... and you still came out a big, fat loser! (laughs) So how does it feel, after all you've been through, to still get thrashed by Low Ki?
Joey: You're right, Caldwell, I may be a loser. I didn't win against Low Ki. He pinned me in the middle of the ring. But to tell you the truth, I don't feel like a loser. I did give it my all. I stood up to Low Ki after all these months, and what do I have to show for it? A win. One victory. And that's not enough for a promotion like MECCA, but it's a start. Yes, I'm disappointed that I didn't beat Low Ki, but the most important lesson I learned on Saturday was that I can beat Low Ki. It didn't happen, but I made a strong showing. It's not much to work with, but it's a start. It's a start.
(In the arena, "It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's time for our main event on a historic night here on Go Time. All three titles up for grabs, the MECCA debut of Charlie Haas and the return of Eddie Crowe.
Dick: And now Cheesecake will attempt to take the MECCA Championship away from Nykk. You can tell he's a bit more serious about his work tonight.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk is coming off a grueling Ironman Pendulum Match against Ronin Fox that he won by a hair. Will he have anything left to face Cheesecake with tonight?
Dick: A champion's schedule is never easy, but don't count Nykk out. He's been in much worse situations.
David: Now it's time for the introductions, courtesy of ring announcer Jared Schrunk.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Go Time main event! And it is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! To my left, the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 230 lbs... he is the leader of the Eccentric Alliance... Cheeeeesecaaaaake! And his opponent... also from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 225 lbs... he is the current MECCA Heavyweight Champion... this is Nyyyyykk!
(FINISH: Cheesecake manages to hit the Long Kiss Goodnight, but Nykk gets a foot on the ropes. Cheesecake picks him up, but Nykk gives him a drop toehold onto the second turnbuckle. He pulls Cheesecake to his feet and goes for Howling Moon II. Cheesecake escapes and forearms Nykk in the back of the head. He goes for the Screw-Driver, but Nykk rolls through with a victory roll and segues right into the Cedarleaf. After a few moments, Cheesecake taps out.)
Winner: Nykk
David: Nykk retains the MECCA Championship, but there's no rest for our fighting champion. Not only is Kevin Stone now waiting in the wings, but so is Charlie Haas.
(Kevin Stone suddenly walks out to the ring and grabs a mic.)
Dick: Speak of the devil, Kevin Stone has just made his way out here. I'm pretty sure we can guess what he has on his mind.
Stone: All right, Nykk, you've had your fun. Now it's time for it to end. In case you haven't been watching your own show, Katie Piehl told me that if I beat that piece of crap at No Regrets, I would get a title shot. Well, I destroyed the man you just beat, which means your title defense here tonight meant nothing. I want your ass in this ring next week, with that title on the line!
(Nykk gets a mic.)
Nykk: Kevin, you're wrong. This match was not meaningless tonight. This was about honoring a commitment of someone who's worked hard for me for the past eleven months. This title shot was a thank you to Cheesecake for helping me out a couple of weeks ago against you. I've worked very hard to build this title up since I won it through honor, something you seem to have forgotten about. But you are right about one thing. It's your time for a title shot, Kevin. Next week, you've got it. I'll put this title on the line against the unstoppable MECCA Monster, but after the match when you're staring up at the lights from your back, you will feel what it's like to fall to a real champion.
("Destroy" plays and Nykk and Stone stare each other down.)
David: We've just had a MECCA Championship match announced for next week. It's Kevin Stone's time, as he'll step into the ring with Nykk! But we're out of time tonight. We'll see you next week, fans!
