Go Time: 10/25/05

Chicago Ridge, IL

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome to the last one-hour version of Go Time, everyone, from right here in Chicago Ridge, Illinois! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and have we got a show just a few days away from Scared Stiff, live on pay-per-view!

Dick: That's right, in a match set up last week, SELF in its entirety will take on Nykk, Ronin Fox, Cynric and Alan Mayse in an eight-man tag.

David: We'll also hear from the Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty concerning the attack perpetrated by the Dangerous Liaison last week. In addition to that, Kevin Stone takes on Huh.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: It looks like we're starting off with the MECCA Champion. He has a big title match coming up in the main event of Scared Stiff this Saturday against one of the men he'll be teaming against tonight, Ronin Fox.

Dick: They've battled time and time again these past two years, and it's usually safe to say that we're never sure who's going to win an encounter between them. This could very well be the last time we see Nykk with the MECCA Championship.

(Nykk gets a mic.)

Nykk: It's fabulous to once again be out here amongst all you great fans. If not for your support, MECCA would never have gotten its deal to air Go Time on FSN, so the only way I know how to thank you is for myself and the locker room to do what we always strive to do, and that's continue to put on the best show possible. Now, tonight's main event will definitely be a war. On one side, you have perhaps the most deadly megagroup to come along in some time... Eddie Crowe, Trent Acid and the UK Wrecking Crew, otherwise known as SELF. On the other side, you have four of the guys who definitely rebuilt the wrestling industry in the Midwest... Ronin Fox, Cynric, Alan Mayse and myself. I don't know what's going to happen tonight... I have as many issues with my partners as I do with my opponents. All I know is that we're ready to defend what we've tried to build with MECCA, and we're not going to let SELF take control. And then, it's on to my hometown of Dayton, Ohio, on October 29, this Saturday, for Scared Stiff. Fox, you and I have been up and down the road together, we've slept in the same hotel room, we've given everything we had in the ring, and we've even tried to end each other's careers. Once again we'll go at it in this ring this Saturday... the only difference is that this belt will be on the line. Fox, I know I stand about a 50/50 chance against you most of the time... but with my title on the line, you're going to see the Nykk of old return, and meld with the Nykk of new. This Alpha Wolf has some new tricks to teach the Fox, and when it's all said and done, I will be recognized as the better man.

("Closer" hits, and Trent Acid and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: What's this? SELF members Trent Acid, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher are on their way out here... we saw SELF burn the Pyro Twins last week, and this week they'll be involved in that big eight-man.

Dick: We understand that the Pyro Twins were not burned too badly by SELF, and will be able to compete in their matches at Scared Stiff, but they've been given the night off tonight.

David: The UK Wrecking Crew has their rematch for the tag titles with the Eccentrics coming up at Scared Stiff, and their chances just got much better now that they've joined forces with SELF.

(Trent Acid grabs the mic from Nykk. However, before he can speak, Nykk lays into him with right hands. He lays into the UKWC as well, but eventually he falls to superior numbers.)

David: Nykk not even letting SELF get out the gate here, as he was pummeling away on them, but he could only last so long with three-on-one odds.

(The UK Wrecking Crew holds Nykk up for Acid, but Ronin Fox runs down and slides into the ring. He dropkicks Acid from behind and the UKWC let go of Nykk. Fox backdrops Nathans over the top rope and then gives Acid a tiger buster. Nykk tackles Fletcher and pounds away on him as Fox bounces off the ropes. He goes to deliver the Tail End, but Nykk moves into his path and takes the move. Fletcher takes the opportunity to bail from the ring as Nathans and Acid laugh at Fox.)

David: Ronin Fox just gave Nykk the Tail End, but he had to have been going for Fletcher!

Dick: Was he? How do you accidentally give someone the Tail End? He just saw an opportunity to weaken his opponent for Scared Stiff.

David: I don't think that's the case. These two have nothing but respect for each other now. I could see your argument if it was Nykk, but I don't think Fox is that petty.

(Fox watches SELF go as Nykk slowly gets to his feet. Fox goes over to help him up, but Nykk shoves him away hard. Fox tries to explain that it was an accident, but Nykk continues to yell at him.)

David: Nykk seems to be thinking along those same lines. I think that SELF is just trying to start trouble to get an advantage in the eight-man tag later on.

Dick: Starting trouble between Nykk and Fox is about as easy as a five year old's jigsaw puzzle. They'd better come to some kind of understanding, or they're in trouble later tonight.

David: We have to take a commercial break, but when we come back the action begins with Huh vs. Kevin Stone!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring.)

David: One half of the tag team champions is on his way down, and what about this feud developing between the Eccentric Alliance and Kevin Stone?

Dick: What feud? So far it's consisted of the Eccentric Alliance trying to embarrass Stone for whatever reason, and Stone beating the tar out of them for it.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: Kevin Stone is angry at the entire Eccentric Alliance, and he has his first shot at getting even right here. Of course, Stone will also be a part of the Stiff Strike Challenge this Saturday, along with Low Ki, Joey Sprinklers and Dusty Schneble.

Dick: He already has an advantage after what happened to Dusty last week, and the fact that Joey and Low Ki will probably be concentrating on each other.

(FINISH: Kevin dominates the match, but he misses a corner clothesline and Huh manages to take advantage with some rights. Kevin shoves him down and charges, but Huh responds with a kick to the shins, followed by a standing avalanche. Kevin staggers, so Huh hits another one. Kevin backs into a corner, and Huh charges and hits a double knee to the chest. He backs up and goes for a corner avalanche, but Kevin moves. He whips Huh to the opposite corner and catches him with the Stone Crusher as he comes out. Kevin covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: Kevin Stone wins another one after that devastating Stone Crusher.

Dick: He nearly choked the life out of Huh two weeks ago, and now he nearly put him through the ring.

David: Stone now has momentum going into the Stiff Strike Challenge, and up next Joey Sprinklers gets that same chance, as he'll take on Shannon Ballard. However, first we're going to go to Bill Bicknell.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the woman who saved Lisa Letty last week.)

Bill: I'm here with the woman who came to the aid of Lisa Letty, Zoe Alexander and Kelly Schweickart last week. The fans have a lot of questions for you, but the top three seem to be: Do you work for MECCA? If so, whose side are you really on? And what is your name?

Star: Bill, my name is Heather Star, and yes, I do work for MECCA. I was signed a little while ago by Katie Piehl. As for whose side I'm on... well, I keep hearing that MECCA has the toughest ladies' division going. But when I get here, I see that it's being contaminated by the likes of Shadow and the Dangerous Liaison, trying to gain control of the Ladies' Title so that they can manipulate the entire division. Well, I'm all about fair play. So if our Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty will let me aid her in her battle against Shadow, Gail Kim, LuFisto and Misery, then it will be my pleasure to do so. If I can get a Dangerous Liaison member in the ring, they will fall victim to my Falling Star Press, and my victory will be nothing short of heavenly.

Bill: There you have it, Heather Star is here and MECCA and she...

(Suddenly, LuFisto attacks Heather from behind. She rams her into a nearby production crate and then locks in LuFisto's Law. Star quickly taps, but LuFisto doesn't let up. Referees Nikki Alvarado and Rya Zay jump in and pull her off.)

LuFisto: You think you can just waltz into MECCA and take on the Dangerous Liaison? You should have stayed out of our business, Star. But next week, you've got me in that ring, and the only falling star will be you, falling victim to LuFisto's Law.

(She stomps Heather one last time before walking away.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and Shannon Ballard makes his way to the ring.)

David: Last week we saw Low Ki demolish Shane Ballard trying to get to Joey, and Shannon got some as well when he got in the way.

Dick: I think the Ballards are on the cusp of breaking out here in MECCA, but they won't last long if they piss off Low Ki.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers walks to the ring, for once, looking over his shoulder.)

David: Joey Sprinklers may feel like he's on borrowed time right now. He's going to be part of that Stiff Strike Challenge, along with Low Ki, this Saturday.

Dick: Low Ki's been forbidden from touching Joey outside the ring, but Joey's so excitable that he still has to be having nightmares about what Low Ki's going to do to him.

(FINISH: Shannon goes for the Ballard Breaker, but Joey counters into a reverse DDT. He tries whipping Shannon into the ropes, but Shannon reverses and knees Joey in the midsection. He lifts Joey, but Joey escapes and kicks him, delivering Da Sprinklanator. He covers and gets the three count, looking very surprised.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers

David: How about that? Joey Sprinklers gets his second win here in MECCA at the expense of Shannon Ballard! That fluke win over Low Ki may have done more for him than he thought.

Dick: Definite surprise here, and maybe this will raise Joey's confidence a bit when facing Low Ki.

("Fighter's Passion" suddenly hits, and Joey immediately bails out of the ring. However, Low Ki doesn't come out. Casting nervous glances around him, Joey takes his skateboard and leaves.)

Dick: Or not.

David: I think Low Ki was just toying with Joey there, but Joey realizes that Katie Piehl said Low Ki could only touch him in the ring. She didn't say it had to be an actual match, so Joey hurried out of there.

Dick: I don't know how Joey could win the Stiff Strike Challenge with this hanging over his head.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with David Caldwell.)

Bill: David Caldwell, after being fired by KDX last month, you acquired yourself two more talents from Japan by the names of Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota, who will face KDX this Saturday. How confident are you of victory, having only managed this team a handful of times?

Caldwell: I have all the confidence in the world. You see, KDX, you made the biggest mistake of your careers when you fired me. I could have taken you all the way to the MECCA Tag Team Championship. But no, you had to try it yourself and look what happened. Now you're facing my new team, and though they couldn't be here tonight, they asked me to send a message to you. You better watch your backs at Scared Stiff, because my boys see you as a disgrace to the home country, and when they get finished with you, Japan will have two new heroes representing them in the United States, and we're going to cap it off by going for the MECCA Tag Team Titles. With me at the helm, the sky's the limit for my guys. For you, it's a one way ticket back to Tokyo.

Bill: There you have it. David Caldwell is very confident that he can lead Takemura and Sakota to victory this Saturday. Don't go away, fans, because there's plenty of action still to come, including a spectacular eight-man tag.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are sitting at the announcing table.)

David: Thank you for joining us here on Go Time, ladies and gentlemen, and a special heartfelt thanks and a farewell to all of our affiliates that have carried us on their stations the past ten months. Next week a new era begins as Go Time moves to FSN beginning Wednesday, November 2.

Dick: And don't forget to join us this Saturday on pay-per-view for Scared Stiff, live from the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. You'll see brother vs. brother as Jay Crowe attempts to beat some sense into his younger brother Eddie Crowe.

David: Plus, a rematch for the tag titles as the Eccentrics defend against the team they won them from, the UK Wrecking Crew.

Dick: And it's the rubber match of the ladies' division as Lisa Letty defends her Ladies' Title against Shadow.

David: We just saw David Caldwell yammering on before the break. He'll lead Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota against Kaientai Deluxe.

Dick: The Stiff Strike Challenge will be on as Low Ki, Kevin Stone, Joey Sprinklers and Dusty Schneble vy for the honor of being the stiffest competitor in MECCA.

David: And of course, the main event. Longtime rivals Nykk and Ronin Fox meet once again in their hometown of Dayton, this time for the MECCA Championship. Fans, it's going to be a wild night this... this Saturday in... wait a minute.

Dick: What?

David: I'm being fed some information. Apparently, Nykk has been attacked somewhere in the back again... let's go there now.

(In a hallway, Nykk is lying unconscious, blood smeared all over his forehead. EMTs are attending to him, and Katie Piehl, David Bowers and Keith Young are standing nearby.)

Katie: Nykk, can you hear me? Did you see who did this to you this time? Nykk!

(Lisa Letty passes by the scene with a look of concern on her face, but she leaves the EMTs to do their job. The camera follows her into the locker room. Lisa sits down on the bench.)

Lisa: My first few years in this business has been a tumultuous rise. When I started in RCW, I was no one of consequence, and I was fortunate enough to develop some friendships, which I carried over into MECCA. First, my mentor LuFisto. And second, the woman who calls herself Shadow. On my first night in this promotion, I defeated them both to win this Ladies' Championship. I was proud of that victory, but I didn't expect to be betrayed by my own mentor. Yet, I was. And for what? This title. I carried on through my feud with LuFisto, learning more and more every day. And then, I came up against my supposed friend Shadow, and she also turned on me for the belt. To many, this would be grounds for quitting the business out of frustration. But guess what? I'm still here, and I've recaptured the Ladies' Title. I don't plan on letting go of it anytime soon. Shadow... this Saturday at Scared Stiff, we meet one more time. You've beaten me for this belt, and I've beaten you for this belt. Our series of matches comes to an end, and look at where we stand now. I'm stronger now, still holding my head high and my belt on my shoulder. You? You've got a bunch of thugs to order around. It's easy to see that despite all the attacks and ambushes and more experience, you're still insecure about your own abilities. And you call me naïve. Make no mistake, Shadow, I've been learning all through your betrayal of me as well. And on October 29, I'll show you just how much I've mastered the lessons taught to me. I'll silence all doubters, and leave you on your back in the middle of the ring, your arms twisted into pretzels. Then I'll hold my belt high and look down on you with the same contempt that made you look down on me. Get ready, Shadow, because Lisa Letty's coming to break your ass, and this time I'm playing for keeps.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Destroy" is playing, and Nykk is in the ring, pacing back and forth, his head bandaged up.)

David: We're back and getting ready for our main event, and what a surprise. Nykk's the first man out here despite being attacked again in the back. We don't even know if he saw who did it this time.

Dick: How do we know it was the same guy? Could it have been SELF, trying to better their odds for this match, or Fox so he could soften up Nykk for this Saturday?

("The Leaving Song Part II" hits and SELF makes their way to the ring.)

David: Wait a minute, SELF is coming out now... we were supposed to get Nykk's partners out here first. What's going on?

Dick: Like sharks smelling blood, David.

(SELF slides into the ring and starts beating up Nykk. Nykk fights them off, but gets jumped from behind by Acid. They kick and stomp on Nykk until "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric, Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse sprint to the ring. They slide in and start brawling with SELF as the bell rings.)

(FINISH: During the match, SELF manages to isolate Alan Mayse. When he gives Nathans an exploder and tries to make the tag, Fletcher comes in and gives Fox a running elbow to knock him off the apron. Fox gets hot at Fletcher, but the ref stops him from coming into the ring. Eventually, Alan makes the tag to Nykk, who comes in and lays into Acid. He hits Howling Moon II, but Eddie comes in and breaks up the pin, touching off a brawl with all the participants. Acid backdrops Fox to the apron and Nykk blasts him with a forearm, but then Fletcher jumps Nykk from behind. He tries to whip Nykk into the corner, but Nykk reverses. Fox sees Fletcher in the corner and runs down the apron to retaliate with a forearm just as Nykk charges for a running European Uppercut. Fletcher gets blasted out of the corner, and Nykk hits the corner. He staggers out, and Acid gives him the Yakuza Kick, covering for the three count as Eddie dropkicks Fox off the apron.)

Winners: SELF

David: SELF has won this eight-man war, thanks to some miscommunication between Nykk and Fox.

Dick: But was it an accident? Was Fox handing out a receipt to Fletcher or was he trying to get Nykk?

David: Nykk and Fox will meet this Saturday, but it could break down between them right here.

(SELF backs up the aisle with their arms raised, as Nykk gets to his feet. He walks over to Fox, who's explaining to Alan and Cynric what happened, and shoves him from behind. Fox shoves Nykk back, and Alan and Cynric attempt to get in between them.)

David: Here we go, Nykk and Fox are about to come to blows! Respect is out the window now, just as it will be this Saturday at Scared Stiff, live on pay-per-view! Please join us on October 29, fans, and next week on FSN as well for the brand new Go Time! Good night!
