("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Go Time, fans, and we're just a couple of weeks away from At Your Own Risk, on September 24, and we have a big announcement regarding it tonight.
Dick: But how about tonight? We have a MECCA Championship defense in our main event.
David: Yes, Nykk will defend against Eddie Crowe right here tonight, and that should be a classic. And that's not all, because after the events that have been transpiring over the past couple of weeks, Ronin Fox and Cynric vs. Kevin Stone and Low Ki has been signed, sealed, and will be delivered right here tonight.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)
David: We're starting off with some ladies' action as the Sensation of Submission approaches the ring.
Dick: Gail Kim's been making a lot of noise in the back about being the next to go after Lisa Letty once Shadow has had her rematch, but that's the goal of every member of the Dangerous Liaison.
("Cherry Bomb" hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)
David: Zoe Alexander, as the newest of all the ladies in MECCA, has been looking to establish herself for months now, and a good way to do it would be to beat Kim right here.
Dick: Zoe needs to step up her game after her victory over Misery a couple of weeks ago. It's time to prove that you belong here in MECCA.
(FINISH: Zoe goes for a bulldog on Kim, but gets pushed into referee Rya Zay, who falls to the mat. Kim goes for the Christo, but Zoe plants her face first onto the mat. She sets her up for the Zoetrope, but LuFisto runs down and slides into the ring. She clips Zoe's knee, allowing Gail to take her over into a snap piledriver. As Zoe holds her neck in pain, Kim puts her in a reverse headscissors and then crosses Zoe's legs, pulling them up over her head. Rya comes to just in time to see Zoe tapping.)
Winner: Gail Kim
David: Gail Kim picks up the victory after some dastardly interference by LuFisto, and what's going on now?
(Kim refuses to let go of the hold, and LuFisto add some stomps to Zoe's back. However, Lisa Letty runs out and pulls LuFisto out of the ring, ramming her into the guardrail. She slides into the ring as Kim gets up to meet her, but Lisa hits her with some forearms and whips her into the ropes. LuFisto trips Gail from the outside and pulls her to safety as "Edge of Seventeen" plays and Lisa checks on Zoe.)
David: The Ladies' Champ made sure things didn't get out of hand, as are apt to happen when the Dangerous Liaison is around.
Dick: Lisa is still after the Dangerous Liaison, who haven't seemed to falter at all even though the title has slipped out of their control.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid.)
Bill: Eddie, Trent, last week the Pyro Twins made their feelings known. As you're Jay's brother, Eddie, they won't touch you. But Trent Acid, they made their intentions clear that should they find themselves in the ring with you, you'll see the Pyro Twins of old reawaken.
Acid: Oh, I'm so scared of the Pyro Twins. They make a lot of threats, but I don't see a whole lot of results now that they're free from SELF. Jay, Dusty, if you want me, I'm not hard to find. But be warned, Eddie and I are a team. When there was a mass exodus from SELF, we remained.
Eddie: And I don't know what you're talking about Bill, because I have no brother named Jay. I have no best friend named Dusty. And since they're so keen on not harming me, let's put their wills to the test. At Your Own Risk, September 24... let's have a tag team match, myself and Acid against the Pyro Twins. We'll see how you get around this handicap. And as for tonight, Nykk, you and I have met once before. Don't forget that I was inexperience then, and I nearly took you for all you're worth then. Now, all these months later, I've become your worst nightmare. After tonight, MECCA will have a new champion, and Nykk, I'd be worried less about your loss tonight and more about the three other guys you'll piss off when I walk out with the belt.
(Commercial Break)
(Katie Piehl is standing in her office.)
Katie: Hello again, everybody, and I hope you're all enjoying Go Time. Last week, I announced the MECCA Championship match and the MECCA Tag Title match for At Your Own Risk. And before I get to another major announcement, ever since I announced the Tag Team Gauntlet, all sorts of teams have been signing up. So far, the Ballard Brothers, Kaientai Deluxe, and representing the Eccentric Alliance, Huh and Cheesecake, and Delirious and Dreamo have signed up. Also, one other mystery team who I won't reveal right now has signed on. Now, onto my announcement. As you know, MECCA has quickly captured the imagination of not only fans in the Midwest, but fans all over the world. And that's why At Your Own Risk will be a historic event, because it will be the first MECCA event shown on national television. That's right, Fox Sports Net has agreed to pick up At Your Own Risk and many more of our bi-monthly events. So get your DVR ready, because MECCA can now be seen on the national stage, September 24, 8:00-10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. All of us here in MECCA are excited about this, and we hope that you are too. Thank you, fans, for making this happen.
(In the arena, "Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox and Cynric make their way to the ring.)
David: How about that announcement? MECCA will soon be on FSN.
Dick: That's huge, David, and you know what? So is this match.
David: It was at Summer Showdown that Kevin Stone beat Cynric via choke out, and Ronin Fox who stopped him from taking it too far. Kevin beat Fox last week with help from Low Ki, and the result is this match.
("Fighter's Passion" hits and Kevin Stone and Low Ki make their way to the ring.)
David: Talk about a dangerous tandem. I can't think of another combination in the world of wrestling that would be able to inspire as much fear as these two.
Dick: It will be interesting to see how they work as a team. With Kevin supplying the power, and Low Ki providing the quickness, and both of them bring the stiff shots, we could have tag team champions in the making.
(FINISH: Fox gives Low Ki the Fox Fire, but Kevin quickly breaks up the cover. As both teams brawl, Low Ki gives Fox some stiff chops and then whips him into the corner. He goes for the Tidal Crush, but Fox does a headstand on the top turnbuckle and kicks Low Ki in the face. Low Ki turns around and Fox launches himself out of the headstand and into the Tail End. He covers Low Ki. Stone tries to make the save, but as he slides into the ring and gets to one knee, Cynric gives him the Lift Off. Fox gets the pin.)
Winners: Ronin Fox and Cynric
David: The brothers are victorious, and this sure seems familiar. It was Fox getting a pin off Low Ki that got them started on each other in the first place, all the way back in April.
Dick: Could we see a Fox/Low Ki match on the horizon? I'd love to see it.
(Fox and Cynric celebrate as Kevin and Low Ki argue to the back.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Lisa Letty and Zoe Alexander are hanging out in the locker room.)
Lisa: You see? Every time, every time you wrestle one of them, the others are lurking around somewhere.
Zoe: Yeah. Me, you and Kelly need to do something about this.
(Shadow enters the locker room.)
Shadow: Well, if it isn't my favorite opponent, Lisa Letty. You know, sooner or later I'm getting my rematch for that title, and when that happens, it's coming back to the Dangerous Liaison where it belongs.
Lisa: What do you want?
Shadow: Unfortunately, I've been informed that my title shot will not take place at At Your Own Risk, so I've decided to make this challenge... on behalf of my fellow Liaison members LuFisto and Gail Kim. They want you two in the ring on September 24.
Zoe: They want to take us on in a tag match? I don't know about you, Lisa, but I'd love the opportunity to kick LuFisto's head in after what she did tonight.
Lisa: And I suppose you'll be lurking around in the background somewhere, Shadow?
Shadow: I'm sure I'll be around.
Lisa: All right, we accept your challenge. At Your Own Risk, myself and Zoe against LuFisto and Gail. But I'm warning you right now, Shadow, my patience is wearing thin. If you get involved, you won't make it to your rematch.
(Shadow smirks and leaves the locker room.)
(In the arena, "The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and Shane Ballard makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Shannon.)
David: We're set for one on one action here, and how about before the break? Another match for At Your Own Risk. The Ladies' Champion, Lisa Letty, will team with Zoe Alexander to face off against LuFisto and Gail Kim.
Dick: That should be off the page.
David: Right now, Shane Ballard is on his way down, along with his brother Shannon. Joey Sprinklers said last week that he's getting desperate for a win, and named the Ballards as the only guys in MECCA who have also not yet won a match. I guess he thinks his chances are better against Shane.
("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring.)
David: It's ambitious of Joey to challenge just one of the Ballards to a match, but they are twins, and Joey had better beware of the shenanigans they could try to pull.
Dick: I know he's friends with Nykk, but sooner or later, Joey's going to have to start winning matches or he's going to find himself out of a job.
(FINISH: Joey crotches Shane on the top turnbuckle and pulls him off in position for Da Sprinklanator. Shane doesn't want to go, but Joey finally pulls him into the move. Referee Matt Hitchcock admonishes Joey for pulling him off the ropes, and Shannon switches places with Shane while the ref's back is turned. Joey sees them and starts protesting to the ref that the unconscious man isn't Shane Ballard. The ref sees that it's not and orders him out of the ring, but as Joey's protesting, Shane comes in from the other side and rolls up Joey for the three count.)
Winner: Shane Ballard
David: Shane Ballard steals it after faking a switch!
Dick: They did switch, but just did it to throw Joey off, and it worked. Joey is still without a win here in MECCA.
(The Ballards celebrate on the outside as Joey pounds his head on the mat in frustration.)
David: Joey will have to try again another day. Up next is our main event... Nykk defends the MECCA Championship against Eddie Crowe. Stay with us!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Ronin Fox is in the locker room. He and Cynric are huddled over, conversing, when he spots the cameraman.)
Fox: Glad you guys are here. I have a message for Low Ki. Low Ki, many months ago, I was put on the sidelines with a broken leg. Angry that you no longer had an opponent for the MECCA Challenge, you used that injury to badmouth me to the MECCA audience. Four months later, our paths have crossed again, and it appears that both you and I are bitter that we never got to settle our differences in the ring. So what do you do instead of challenging me like a man? You cost me a big match, one that could have gotten me onto the Contender Star had I won. On top of that, you seem to have gotten even more vicious and vindictive since losing that title match to Nykk. Well, if you want a fight, Low Ki, why don't you bring it? You and I, At Your Own Risk, the first MECCA event to be broadcast live on FSN. You can't outfox the fox, Ki, and on September 24, I'll show you exactly why I'm going to be the top guy in MECCA. Since you cost me Stone's spot on the Contender Star, now I'm coming after your spot. September 24, I'll be there. If I tear my quad, I'll be there. If I break my neck, I'll be there. If my both my legs suddenly fall off, I'll be there in a wheelchair, and I'll still beat you. You've cornered this fox, Ki, and now watch and see what happens.
(In the arena, "The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: We have yet another challenge for At Your Own Risk, as Ronin Fox has made it clear that he intends to settle this issue with Low Ki.
Dick: But it's time for our main event, and this could very well change the complexion of things on September 24.
David: Yes, if Eddie wins the title tonight, the matches won't change. He'll still team with Trent Acid against the Pyro Twins, and Nykk will still be in Four Corner Chaos. The only difference, as Eddie pointed out, is that there will be no title on the line, and three very pissed off challengers aiming for Nykk.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: These two met once before in a classic encounter back at Punked Out. That time it was Nykk that came out on top, but Eddie's learned a lot since then, mostly thanks to being schooled by Nykk.
Dick: This is going to be a rough month for Nykk. Not only does he have three challengers to prepare for in a match that's very difficult to win, but he also has to worry about keeping the belt from Eddie tonight.
David: Let's go up to Jared Schrunk for the introductions.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 175 lbs... he is the new leader of the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation... Eddieeeee Crooooowe! And his opponent... also from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 225 lbs... he is the current MECCA Heavyweight Champion... this is Nyyyyyyykk!
(FINISH: Nykk goes for the Cedarleaf, but Eddie twists his body and manages to trip Nykk, who falls to his stomach. Eddie swings around and applies the Crowe's Nest, but Nykk manages to get a foot on the bottom rope. Eddie stomps on Nykk and then whips him into the corner. Nykk reverses, and Eddie tries to jump to the top rope, but Nykk moves in and crotches Eddie on the top turnbuckle. He goes up to the second turnbuckle and hooks Eddie, giving him Howling Moon I from the second rope. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Nykk
David: Another successful title defense for Nykk, and now he can go into At Your Own Risk with all his energy focused on Cynric, Kevin Stone and Alan Mayse.
Dick: Another great match between these two men, but Eddie just is not ready for the MECCA Championship yet, though he gave Nykk a few close calls.
David: Be sure to join us again next week, and maybe we'll see if Low Ki has accepted Ronin Fox's challenge for At Your Own Risk. Until then, have a great week, fans!
