("Neocon" opening.)
David: We're here in Cincinnati, Ohio, for Go Time, presented by MECCA! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and have we got a main event tonight. Two men on the Contender Star will battle it out as Cynric takes on Low Ki!
Dick: We'll also hear from Alan Mayse about his victory over Nykk last week, as well as see Zoe Alexander take on Misery from the Dangerous Liaison.
("The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and the Ballard Brothers make their way to the ring.)
David: We're starting off with some tag team action as the Ballards make their way to the ring.
Dick: The twins, Shane and Shannon Ballard, are still looking for a win in the tag team ranks much like Joey Sprinklers is looking for a win in the singles ranks. It could come right here tonight.
("Can't Stop" hits and Reckless Abandon make their way to the ring.)
David: And there's a situation that all of us need to address. Spanky has chosen to re-sign with WWE, and this will be his last appearance here in MECCA.
Dick: No doubt Spanky wants to go out with a bang, and with his partner Delirious by his side.
(FINISH: Spanky goes for Sliced Bread #2 on Shane, but Shannon comes and pulls Spanky off. Delirious comes in and dropkicks him from behind, and then he and Spanky give Shane Get Well Soon. Spanky then gives Shannon a Sliced Bread #2 onto Shane, and covers Shane to get the three count.)
Winners: Reckless Abandon
David: Spanky picks up the victory, and will leave MECCA on a high note. Good luck in your future endeavors, Spanky.
(Shannon and Shane protest about the count, but Delirious goes nuts and ends up chasing them from the ring, leaving Spanky alone to say thank you to the crowd. "Danger! High Voltage" hits and Spanky dances his way from the ring.)
(In the locker room, the Pyro Twins are sitting on a bench.)
Jay: You know, ever since our first day in the wrestling business, we decided that we wouldn't let any real life BS get in our way. And for a long time, it worked. We became the most ruthless tag team on the indy scene, and we won title after title. We were so bad that we became good in many fans' eyes. And then we became trapped by our own notoriety. You see, C.M. Punk saw our stuff and wanted us to help him in MECCA. But he knew we'd never listen to that straight-edge garbage, so he got some insurance in the form of MY brother, Eddie Crowe.
Dusty: And we did a lot of things we didn't want to do to keep both Eddie and Punk happy... but we finally had enough. As hard as it was, we had to throw Eddie to the wolves and go our own way. But Punk quit, and now Eddie wants to continue his vision... don't you get it, Eddie? SELF is dead, and there's nothing to be done about it. When you attacked us last week, it hurt, and not just physically. We, the ruthless Pyro Twins, were hurting on the inside.
Jay: We always said we'd never let real life get in the way of business, that whoever was standing across from us in the ring would be treated the same, whether they were our worst enemies or our best friends... well, I'm not the first to fall victim to my own emotions, and quite frankly, Eddie, we have no desire to fight you. If you want to continue SELF, that's your decision. But leave us out of it, because I see now that there's no helping you until you help yourself. If you come at us, we won't fight back. But Trent Acid... you we have no qualms about fighting. If you come at us again, expect the Pyro Twins of old to awaken and you will feel our burn.
Dusty: There will be no mercy for Trent Acid, Eddie. So just how attached to him are you? Would it hurt you if we were to beat him into a bloody pulp, or if we were to cook his flesh until only cinders remained? I guess we'll find out sooner or later.
(In the office, the Eccentrics, KDX, Delirious and the Ballard Brothers are all arguing with each other when Katie Piehl walks in.)
Katie: Excuse me... I'm back!
Shane: Ms. Piehl! We were expecting Nykk... you see, now that the UK Wrecking Crew have beaten Fox and Mayse, we're all wondering who their next challengers are going to be.
Cheesecake: Excu'th me... are we forgetting who just scored a big victory last week? Me and Huh will be taking that title shot.
Caldwell: Yeah, you won because you cheated. You used MY flag!
Delirious: Me! Me! Me! Bah!
Shannon: You don't even have a partner anymore. Shane and I have been here for...
Caldwell: You've never even won a match!
(They all start arguing again.)
Katie: Guys! You know, I still have quite a headache. Next week, I'll have an announcement about the tag title situation at our next event, At Your Own Risk. Until then, if you'll excuse me, I have some business to take care of.
(KDX and the Ballards file out, and Delirious starts to crawl out the door, but Kevin Stone suddenly shoves it open and walks in, trampling all over Delirious. He grabs Huh by the face and shoves him out of the way.)
Kevin: You and I need to talk, Katie!
Katie: Funny, I don't recall being on a first name basis with you after you nearly broke my neck.
Kevin: What I want to know is why I haven't gotten a shot at the MECCA Championship, despite being on the Contender Star, and despite the fact that I haven't lost since I dumped my worthless partner?
Katie: You haven't gotten a title shot because you've been under punishment. Now you better get out of here before I call my security.
Kevin: So when will I get my shot?
Katie: You know why I didn't fire you after what you did to me? Because you are a phenomenal wrestler, Kevin, and you bring something unique to our show. I want you here in MECCA, but make no mistake. I do not need you. I want to see you in exciting title matches, but after what you pulled, you have no room to complain about career advancement. You'll get it when I say so. Is that all?
Kevin: No, it's not. I may not be able to touch you without getting fired, Ms. Piehl, but what I can do is plow through this entire company and leave destruction in my wake until I do get a title shot.
Katie: (sighs) So you think you deserve a title shot? That's fine, but we've got some other worthy contenders as well, such as Alan Mayse, and most likely the winner of our main event tonight. Give me a week, and I'll come up with something.
Kevin: Fine with me. Make sure you tell your fifty-fifty partner that his reign is going to be ended by me, and there will be nothing to stop me once I'm the top dog around here.
(He glares at Cheesecake, who begs off, before storming out the door. Katie sighs and holds her head.)
Katie: Where's a Tylenol when I need one?
(Huh's arm reaches up from the floor, holding a bottle of Tylenol. Katie takes it gratefully.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "My Friend of Misery" hits and Misery makes her way to the ring.)
David: We'll see some action from the ladies' division momentarily, but what about the news that Katie Piehl is back, and will have an announcement next week concerning the contenders for both the tag titles and the MECCA Championship?
Dick: I can't wait to hear what she has in mind. It looks like now that Nykk's the champ, everyone's coming after him.
("Cherry Bomb" by L7 hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)
David: The technical expert Zoe Alexander is getting ready to take on Misery, and both these ladies would love to move up in the ladies' division and possibly challenge Lisa Letty for her title.
Dick: These two met back on June 25, just before Midsummer Night Slam, and that time it was the debuting Zoe who came out on top. It will be interesting to see if Misery can learn from that defeat.
(FINISH: Misery traps Zoe in the Friendship Bracelet, but Zoe makes it to the ropes. Misery lands some stiff kicks to the face and whips her into the ropes, but Zoe reverses and ducks her head, lifting Misery upside down and nailing the Zoetrope. She covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Zoe Alexander
David: Zoe picks up an impressive win with that devastating Zoetrope.
Dick: If she builds a few more wins, she could be considered for a... wait a minute...
(LuFisto, Gail Kim and Shadow silently make their way to the ring and surround Zoe.)
David: The Dangerous Liaison is out here... they're pissed about Lisa Letty winning back the Ladies' Title at Summer Showdown and laid her out last week. Are they just going to do this until one of them reclaims the title?
(The group wastes no time in attacking Zoe. LuFisto gives her the LuFisto Launcher and then goes to the top rope. Shadow applies a dragon sleeper and falls back for the body scissors at the same time that LuFisto comes off the top with a splash onto Zoe. Shadow holds onto the sleeper while Misery gives Zoe a senton splash, and Gail gives her a headbutt to the midsection from the top rope. Shadow lets go and scrapes her boot across Zoe's face. "Gangsta Bitch" plays and the Dangerous Liaison leaves.)
David: They're not going to get title shots by beating down all possible contenders. They'll have to earn them in the ring like everyone else.
Dick: They made a statement to the other ladies, though, and that's "Stay out of our way."
David: We've got our main event up next, as Low Ki takes on Cynric. But when we come back, we'll hear from Alan Mayse!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Alan Mayse.)
Bill: Alan, last week you scored a big non-title victory over the MECCA Champion, Nykk. Are you seeking a title shot, and if so, when can we expect that match to happen?
Alan: I'll address that in a moment, Bill, but first to Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher... I'm touched that you boys are offering me one more title shot, and I'll gladly take you up on that... sooner or later. Right now, I'm aiming for the MECCA Championship, so you guys just got a little bit of a reprieve. You know, Bill, I was the RCW Champion for over nine months, holding off the likes of Nykk in the process. And the fact that I was a three-time champ just proves that I'm just as good at winning titles as I am at holding onto them. The tag titles will have to wait, because right now I'm seeking my rightful title shot against Nykk. Katie Piehl, board of directors, listen up. My name is Alan Mayse, I will champion this cause, and this cause will make me champion.
(In the arena, "Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Strong words from Alan Mayse, but what about the winner of this match? Cynric was voted back onto the Contender Star with the departure of C.M. Punk, and of course Low Ki seems to be a permanent fixture there.
Dick: Well, Low Ki came up short against Nykk at Summer Showdown, but a victory here would practically guarantee him a rematch.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: Cynric is eager to prove himself now that he's back on the Contender Star. Not only these two, but what about Kevin Stone? He had some valid points about a title shot coming his way.
Dick: What about that punishment BS? It just gives Stone more claim to being the uncrowned contender.
(FINISH: Cynric goes up and tries a superplex from the top, but Low Ki fights his way out of it and goes for the Ki Krusher. Cynric fights back and manages to reverse their positions, giving Ki the Shockwave Pulsar from the top. He covers, but Ki just barely manages to get a foot on the bottom rope. Cynric picks him up, but Low Ki is barely conscious and just falls through the ropes to the outside. As referee Keith Young warns Cynric about going outside, Ki reaches under the ring and gets a chain. He wraps it around his fist and Cynric tries to pull him back into the ring. Low Ki hits him with the chain, obscuring it from the ref's view and drops it on the floor. He slides back in and covers, but Ronin Fox runs down and pulls Low Ki off of Cynric. Fox shows the chain to the ref as Low Ki yells at him. He makes a grab for the chain, and a tug of war ensues. Ki finally pulls it away from Fox, and it accidentally strikes Young in the face. Young goes down, and Low Ki gives Fox a kick to the head when he goes to check on him. Low Ki turns back to Cynric, but Fox gets in the ring and charges Low Ki, hitting the Tail End. Ki gets up but is out on his feet, and Cynric executes a backslide. Young crawls over and makes the three count.)
Winner: Cynric
David: Cynric is victorious after his brother came out to point out the fact that Low Ki was using a chain.
Dick: Wait a minute, Fox just cost Low Ki the match! Two wrongs don't make a right!
David: Yeah, but two wrongs get the job done when the first wrong started it.
Dick: That doesn't make any sense!
(Fox and Cynric celebrate in the aisle as Low Ki stares malevolently at them.)
David: Things are not copasetic between Ronin Fox and Low Ki. Maybe we'll have more on this situation next week, along with information about the MECCA Championship and Tag Team Championship for At Your Own Risk. We'll see you then, everybody!
