("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Go Time, ladies and gentlemen, presented by MECCA. This past Saturday was a historic night for MECCA, as we presented Summer Showdown. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and what a great show Summer Showdown was.
Dick: No doubt. Nykk and Low Ki ended their feud after Nykk made Low Ki tap out in their Submission Match. And we also have a new Ladies' Champion, as Lisa Letty regained the belt from Shadow.
David: But there's no rest for the wicked. Tonight, Nykk will face Alan Mayse in a non-title match.
Dick: Also, we'll hear from Eddie Crowe, who is coming off a victory over Spanky. Maybe we'll find out what's going to happen now that C.M. Punk has apparently quit MECCA.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: He's tweakin' out!
Dick: Delirious, a member of the Eccentric Alliance, on his way to the ring. His partner, Spanky, is not here tonight after being forced to tap at the hands of Eddie Crowe at Summer Showdown.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: Kevin Stone is coming off a big victory in that Anything Goes Match against Cynric this past Saturday. Cynric's knee and ribs are so banged up that he couldn't be here tonight either.
Dick: Stone has shaken off his past, and now he's free to pursue the MECCA Championship, as long as he doesn't get replaced on the Contender Star by losing to Delirious here.
(FINISH: The match doesn't last long. Delirious mounts a brief offense and manages to send Kevin down with a dropkick to the knee. He goes for Shadows Over Hell, but Stone moves. He levels Delirious with a big boot and then picks him up. He whips him into the ropes and hits the Stone Crusher. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: Stone wins it in short order with that spinning chokeslam, which he's now calling the Stone Crusher.
Dick: Delirious may be off his rocker, but he's still a great wrestler. I can't believe Stone beat him that fast.
David: Kevin's looking for a shot at the MECCA Championship, and he just may get it. Right now, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Eddie Crowe.)
Bill: Eddie, you scored perhaps the biggest victory of your short career at Summer Showdown with a win over Spanky. However, your mentor C.M. Punk had kind of a rough night. He lost to Jay Crowe, and apparently quit MECCA afterwards.
Eddie: Bill, you're correct. C.M. Punk has decided to leave MECCA for greener pastures. Thanks to Jay and Dusty. You see, I have come to look at Punk as family, even more so than my real family. Dusty, when you turned your back on SELF, you turned your back on me. I hope you and Jay are very happy together, because even though you got rid of Punk, it doesn't change a thing. I will carry on with the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation. With me at the helm, I will bring SELF to the highest plateau in MECCA, and carry out the vision... Punk's vision. And Pyro Twins, if you try to stop me, I'll show you exactly what I've learned from my time with Punk... my friend, my brother. Jay... consider yourself dead to me. I have new family, and it will be the new SELF.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring, holding up the Ladies' Championship.)
David: Lisa Letty just received a phenomenal welcome here in Cincinnati.
Dick: She finally feels redemption after losing the title back in June to her former friend Shadow, and overcoming Dangerous Liaison interference this past Saturday to reclaim the belt.
(Lisa gets a mic.)
Lisa: Wow, it's great to have things back to normal. You know, I went into my match this past Saturday facing an uphill battle. I don't know what it is, maybe I'm just too sensitive for this business, but I was still hurting from Shadow's betrayal back at Midsummer Night Slam. Look at what you did, Shadow. You threw away a lasting friendship for a gang of thugs and a two month title reign that history will remember as my placeholder! I can assure all of you fans that Lisa Letty is back, and the second reign will be the same as the first. Whoever wants a title match can just ask, even the Dangerous Liaison. Because the cream always rises to the top, and that's why I will sit atop the Ladies' Division for a long time. Shadow, you attempted to control the entire division, and as you were the champ, you had a fair amount of success. But now I'm in the driver's seat. And I say we bring this title back to the principles it was founded on, as a title that people can take seriously, a title that elevates women wrestlers to more than just eye candy, a title that can give even MECCA's male titles competition and at times, even steal the show. If all you ladies in the back are with me, then let's do this. If you're not with me... then come try me.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and the Dangerous Liaison makes its way to the ring.)
David: The Dangerous Liaison is on the way to the ring, and they don't look happy, especially Shadow.
Dick: Of course not. Shadow was outsmarted by Lisa, and it cost her the most precious thing in her career.
(Shadow gets a mic.)
Shadow: Lisa, this past Saturday you gave me the fight of my life, and at the end, you came out the better woman. I won't fault you for that. How can I fault you for that? I've been acting like a real bitch over the past couple of months and forgotten what this title represented. I have no regrets losing to you... the only regret I have is the friendships I've traded.
(She glares at the Dangerous Liaison.)
Shadow: Now what I want from you three is to get out of this ring before Lisa and I mop the floor with all of you.
(The Dangerous Liaison looks confused, but they finally exit the ring.)
Shadow: Now that we've gotten rid of that baggage... Lisa, when you brought the righteous fury on Saturday, it showed me what I'd forgotten. I'd gotten so obsessed with furthering my own career that I didn't stop to consider what I was throwing away. You've shown me what a true champion is about, Lisa, and I wish I could have made my reign more like yours. I know this doesn't make up for what I've put you through, but... (extends her hand) I'd like it very much if you could at least shake my hand.
(Lisa considers for a moment and then takes Shadow's hand.)
David: It looks like we have a happy ending to this heated... look out!
(Gail, LuFisto and Misery suddenly slide into the ring and converge on Lisa from behind, knocking her down. They lay into her, as Shadow yells at them. Gail drags Lisa to her feet and Shadow shoves LuFisto away, giving her a piece of her mind. Suddenly, Shadow spins and nails Lisa with the Interceptor.)
David: I don't believe it. That cock-and-bull story was all a setup!
Dick: The Dangerous Liaison isn't through wreaking havoc in the Ladies' Division yet.
Shadow: Lisa, you're so naïve. That was the easiest thing I've ever done in this business. Just let me tell you something, little girl. You'd better be prepared, because the Dangerous Liaison is stronger in defeat than we are in victory. This is not over, because when we strike back, we will open the gates of Hell!
("Gangsta Bitch" plays as the Dangerous Liaison exits the ring.)
David: The turbulent Ladies' Division doesn't look like it's going to become more stable anytime soon with these lunatics on the loose. Up next, the Eccentrics take on Kaientai Deluxe, who will have David Caldwell in their corner.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: I'm here with the MECCA Tag Team Champions, Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher. Guys, at Summer Showdown, you triumphed over the tandem of Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse, but you had to use a chair to do it.
Nathans: Did Fox really think that we were going to try the same trick twice? That's why we're so far above the other tag teams here in MECCA. We are untouchable, and we're just sitting back and waiting for the next team to come along and try to take these belts off of us. One thing's for certain, though. It won't be Alan Mayse, at least not after next time.
Fletcher: Mayse, you've tried to take these belts with three different partners, and you've failed three times. You've got one more shot at us, Alan, so you better pick your next partner better than you've picked them all summer long. And to all you other teams out there... our "fire" has never burned brighter, and our star will rise even higher.
Bill: Obviously a message to your would-be challengers, but for a restraining order, the Pyro Twins...
Nathans: Who said anything about the Pyro Twins? We've beaten them once already. To do so again would be pointless. We are the first MECCA Tag Team Champions, and we will remain that way for a very long time.
Fletcher: And whether it's Alan Mayse, the Eccentric Alliance or even Jay and Dusty, the UK Wrecking Crew is set to demolish.
(In the arena, "Entre dos Tierras" hits and Kaientai Deluxe makes its way to the ring, with David Caldwell.)
David: The UK Wrecking Crew is still sitting atop the tag division, but speaking of which, we're about to see two teams who would certainly like to try their hand against the UKWC.
Dick: KDX has returned to MECCA, and are looking to get back into the groove of things, though something's seemed off since they came back.
("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)
David: KDX lost to two other members of the Eccentric Alliance on the countdown show to Summer Showdown when they lost to Delirious and Dreamo. Now they're testing their luck against Huh and Cheesecake.
Dick: Yeah, and the Eccentric Alliance is down one member in Spanky, who seems to think that he lost his honor when he lost to Eddie Crowe this past Saturday. Who knows if he'll be back in MECCA?
Dick: And of course, there still has to be bad blood not only between the Eccentrics and KDX, but between the Eccentrics and David Caldwell. Who will ever forget the Eccentrics winning their feud with KDX by forcing guest referee David Caldwell to make the three count for them?
(FINISH: Huh hits the moonsault on Teioh, but Togo breaks up the cover. Cheesecake comes in and brawls with Togo as referee David Bowers tries to get them out. Teioh pokes Huh in the eye and goes for the Miracle Ecstasy, but Huh retaliates with an eye poke. Suddenly, Caldwell charges in with the Japanese flag and swings at Huh. Huh ducks and Caldwell flattens Teioh with it. A dropkick from Cheesecake sends Caldwell through the ropes, and Huh covers to get the three count.)
Winners: The Eccentrics
David: The Eccentrics pick up the victory, and now that fall is coming up, all the tag teams in MECCA are looking for those victories, looking to get those shots at the UK Wrecking Crew.
Dick: The Pyro Twins won't.
David: Restraining orders aside, the Pyro Twins have other problems to contend with right now.
(Togo and Teioh start to argue with David Caldwell at ringside.)
David: KDX are hot, and I don't blame them. Caldwell had no business interfering. His guys weren't even in that much trouble! Anyway, we have to take a quick commercial break. We'll be right back!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Ronin Fox is drinking from a water fountain when Low Ki walks up to him. Fox rises to look him in the eyes.)
Fox: What? Thirsty?
Low Ki: If it isn't Ronin Fox. You can make all the sarcastic quips you want, but you've been back in MECCA for about a month now, and I see you have no intention of honoring my challenge that I made back in April. You see, I've been concerned with winning the MECCA Championship, but since I have this free moment I have to ask you... how come you're such a chickens&*^?
Fox: You think you've been busy? Since I came back, I've been attacked for no apparent reason, tricked in disqualifying myself, and nearly had my skull caved in at Summer Showdown. I've been concerned with winning the tag titles, but rest assured, Low Ki, you were next on my list. I haven't forgotten the things you said about my injury.
Low Ki: That's good to hear. Because I never back out of a fight, and make no mistake about it, our fight will happen, and it will happen soon. Just make sure you don't stub your toe again, because I don't care if I have to put you in a wheelchair and wheel you to the ring... it will happen.
Fox: I'm looking forward to it.
(Low Ki walks away, and Fox watches him go.)
(In the locker room, the Pyro Twins sit despondently on the bench.)
Dusty: So what do we do now? There's no Punk to go after, but you won't lay a hand on Eddie. Personally, I think a little bitch-slapping would do him good.
Jay: I don't know, man. I've never had to deal with this before. Even when we beat up Nykk, I was able to lock him into my mind as an opponent instead of a friend... but this is different. But I know we're going to be booked across the ring from each other, sooner probably than later.
Dusty: And when that happens, what? Am I going to be forced to go at him alone, or are you going to have my back?
Jay: Trust me, I wouldn't leave you hanging. I just can't wrap my head around...
(Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid walk in.)
Eddie: You'd better wrap your head around it, Jay. You see, Punk may be gone, but his vision still lives, and I'm here to carry it out. SELF will rise again, and there's nothing you two can do to stop me.
Jay: Eddie... please...
Acid: Oh, what's this? The ruthless Pyro Twin is saying 'please,' showing his emotions, acting like a little girl who's lost her puppy. I used to admire you two, but now, you've shown me that you're nothing more than a couple of little bitches.
Dusty: You've got a big mouth, Acid. (stands) We never liked you much anyway, so since there's no C.M. Punk to hide behind, you'd better step off before we get angry.
(Acid smirks to Eddie and then slaps the taste out of Dusty's mouth. Dusty lunges for Acid, but Eddie gets between them. Jay holds Dusty back from punching Eddie, and Acid hits Dusty over Jay's shoulder. He slams Dusty into the lockers, and Jay starts pounding on him only to be hit from behind by Eddie. Eddie rams Jay into the door and then slams a garbage can down on top of him as Acid kicks Dusty in the ribs. They survey their work for a moment before exiting, leaving Jay and Dusty groaning in pain.)
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Jay may not want to fight his brother Eddie, but as we saw before the break, Eddie is more than willing to fight him, as the Pyro Twins got ambushed by Eddie and Trent Acid.
Dick: Eddie seems a lot more confident as leader of SELF, and that seems to have transferred onto Acid, who did more than his share of causing trouble. Just who will they recruit into the new SELF?
David: I don't know, but it's time for our main event. It will be a non-title match between Alan Mayse and Nykk.
Dick: The reason it's non-title is because Alan has been in the tag ranks all summer long, and hasn't gotten any high-profile singles wins lately, despite being on the Contender Star. However, a victory here could very well secure him a title shot.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk is coming off a grueling Submission Match against Low Ki from this past Saturday, and he's got to still be feeling it. Alan would be wise to take advantage of that.
Dick: Absolutely, and don't for a minute think he won't. Alan is as good a strategist as they come, and that's a big reason why he held the RCW Championship for so long.
(FINISH: Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Nykk counters with a hurricanrana takeover, rolling backwards to attempt the Cedarleaf. Alan immediately counters into an inside cradle for two, but Nykk escapes. He rocks Nykk with a standing dropkick, and Nykk tries charging for a back elbow, but Alan avoids it and gives Nykk a standing enzugiri. He gives Nykk an exploder suplex and then locks in the Maysochist. Nykk fades fast, and eventually loses consciousness. Referee Keith Young drops Nykk's hand three times and calls for the bell.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan picks up the win, and most likely a title shot after that showing!
Dick: He looks to have knocked Nykk out completely with that last series of moves. He probably could have just covered him, but the fact remains that Alan Mayse, who is already on the Contender Star, now has a win over the champ under his belt.
David: Maybe we'll find out about the contendership situation next week. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills. We'll see you then!
