Go Time: 7/26/05

St. Louis, MO

("Neocon" opening.)

David: We are just a few days away from Liberty or Death on July 30, but we've still got a ways to go here on Go Time, presented by MECCA! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli.

Dick: We have a great show tonight as Low Ki attempts to wrest his spot on the Contender Star back. He meets Huh one on one in a rematch from last week.

David: We'll also have a preview tag team main event for the big eight-man tag at Liberty or Death. Representing SELF will be the Pyro Twins, and they'll take on the Eccentric Alliance's Cheesecake and Delirious!

("Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring.)

David: Here comes one half of the tag team champions, Andy Nathans, who was just informed last week that the Pyro Twins have an opportunity at their titles coming up.

Dick: But first they have to get by Joey Sprinklers and whoever his partner is at Liberty or Death, and Nathans has to get by Joey right now.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring, carrying a microphone.)

David: Joey Sprinklers is getting a tag title shot, but what's he doing right now?

Joey: Yo, Nathans. It seems to me that you and your partner are looking past my challenge this Saturday and concentrating on the Pyro Twins. But you shouldn't diss me just because I haven't gained a victory yet. I've got a partner that will make you wet your little knickers! And he's going to be taking my place in this match... so without further adieu, my partner... Alan Mayse!

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: I don't believe it! Alan Mayse and Joey Sprinklers... a team?

David: Alan has been vocal recently about getting another opportunity at the tag titles.

Dick: Well, Joey Sprinklers's stock certainly just went up.

(FINISH: Nathans goes for London Bridge is Falling Down, but Alan elbows him until he falls to the mat. Alan hits a missile dropkick and then picks Nathans up, hitting the Tiger Bomb. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

David: Mayse wins it, and has some momentum going into his match Saturday.

Dick: He's going to need it with Joey as his partner.

(Jack Fletcher runs out and jumps Alan from behind. He and Nathans start stomping Alan, but Joey Sprinklers runs back out and spins Fletcher, hitting him with rights. He whips him into the ropes and hits a back body drop. He kicks Nathans and hits Da Sprinklanator. The UK Wrecking Crew retreat as Joey helps Alan up.)

David: Well, we may not know exactly why Alan decided to team with Joey, but it looks like Joey's going to make the most of this opportunity. We'll be back with more action.

(Commercial Break)

(Nykk is walking down the hall, when he suddenly turns around to see Low Ki standing behind him.)

Nykk: So you want to go again, huh? I've felt the cold, hard floor enough, Low Ki. If you want to attack me, do it now and we'll see how it turns out this time.

Low Ki: Nykk, I'm not here to fight you this time. Last week, you cost me my match against that buffoon, Huh. Tonight, I have an opportunity to redeem that loss, and lightning will not strike twice. So as per Katie Piehl... officers!

(Several policemen step up to Nykk.)

Low Ki: These fine gentlemen will keep you company until my match is over. I'll see you in four days.

(He leaves.)

(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring, looking a bit fearful.)

David: We have a rematch from last week, when Huh scored perhaps the biggest singles victory of his career.

Dick: Thanks to Nykk. Look at the guy. He's scared to death!

David: No dancing tonight for Huh. He knows very well that Low Ki's out for blood, and he has to conserve his energy for the big eight-man tag at Liberty or Death.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

Dick: Thanks to some of St. Louis's finest, Huh now has Low Ki's full attention. Prepare for the slaughter.

(Low Ki charges the ring and attacks Huh as the bell rings.)

(FINISH: Low Ki dominates the match, but when he goes for the Ki Krusher, Huh escapes and hits a back suplex. Referee David Bowers starts the count, and both men are on their feet by six. Huh actually blocks some of Low Ki's martial arts strikes and connects with a hard right. He staggers Low Ki with another and looks surprised that he has the upper hand. He whips Low Ki into a corner and hits an avalanche. He goes up for a moonsault, and pauses to do a little dance. When he does the moonsault, Low Ki catches him with a kick from the mat. Huh goes limp and Low Ki picks him up, hitting the Ki Krusher. He pulls him up at the two count and puts him in the Dragon Clutch. Huh quickly taps.)

Winner: Low Ki

David: Low Ki made fairly easy work of Huh, who had something going for him at the end, but it was not to be.

Dick: That's why you shouldn't get overconfident, especially with Low Ki. The more important story here is that Low Ki is now back on the Contender Star. Should he beat Nykk again in four days, he has a title shot against C.M. Punk.

David: We'll be back with the newest member of the Eccentric Alliance in action. Stay with us!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Lisa Letty.)

Bill: I'm here with former Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty. First off, welcome back to MECCA.

Lisa: Thank you, Bill. I needed a couple of weeks to recuperate and get my head straight, but it's great to be back now.

Bill: No doubt you're still feeling the ramifications from not only losing the Ladies' Championship, but being betrayed by your friend Shadow at Midsummer Night Slam. How do you feel, knowing that Shadow sold you out so that she could head the Dangerous Liaison as champion?

Lisa: It hurts, to be honest. Shadow, you and I warred against LuFisto and Gail Kim for months. I thought we had each other's backs. Maybe I mistook true friendship for a business relationship, and it was my mistake. If I screwed up, then chalk it up to experience. But Shadow, this does not get you off the hook. My sole purpose at this moment is to regain the Ladies' Championship, and destroy the Dangerous Liaison in the process.

Bill: So far, it seems like Shadow is only giving out title shots to her new friends, but Katie Piehl has decreed that after Liberty or Death, she will choose a new no. one contender for the Ladies' Title.

Lisa: Shadow's trying to control the ladies' division so that she can remain on top for as long as possible. As the former champion, I had better be the no. one contender that Katie Piehl names. And when I get the shot, I will be once again the Ladies' Champion, and don't think I've forgotten how to get brutal, Shadow. What you did to me, I will do to you ten times over.

(In the arena, "Sweet Dreams" hits and Dreamo stumbles to the ring, along with Medea Knight.)

David: Strong words from the former Ladies' Champion, and I can't wait to see Lisa Letty and Shadow go at it again.

Dick: Was this idiot asleep again?

David: The Eccentric Alliance's newest members, Dreamo and Medea Knight, are still new to MECCA themselves, and though Dreamo may be unorthodox, he has obvious talent.

Dick: They fit right in with those misfits. Although Medea's a pretty hot number. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that Dreamo's always tired.

("Smoke on the Water" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: Kevin Stone has a big match coming up at Liberty or Death against Cynric, and he's looking to get some momentum right here tonight.

Dick: So long, Dreamo. I wish I could say it's been a pleasure, but it hasn't.

(FINISH: Kevin tries to whip Dreamo into a corner, but Dreamo falls asleep midway through and crumbles to the mat. Kevin puts his hands on his hips and then shoves Dreamo over onto his back. He puts a foot on his chest, but at the two count, Medea sets off the alarm clock, and Dreamo kicks out. Kevin tries to clothesline him, but Dreamo keeps ducking out of the way. He catches Kevin with a dropkick and then whips him into the corner. Kevin reverses and charges, but Dreamo gets his feet up. Dreamo gives him a Tornado DDT, and then goes for the Dream Sequence. He hits two double stomps off the ropes, then hits the rolling senton, but Kevin gets to his feet and catches Dreamo with the Stone Cutter as he comes off the ropes again. He covers and gets the pin.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: Kevin just showed this rookie who's boss as he plants Dreamo and gets the win.

Dick: I guess it's back to the Wacked-mobile with the rest of the rejects for Dreamo.

David: I wonder if he's related to Sleepo from RCW. Anyway, up next is our main event as the Eccentric Alliance's Cheesecake and Delirious take on the Pyro Twins.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Trent Acid.)

Bill: Trent Acid, you requested this interview time because you said you had something to say. So what's on your mind?

Acid: As you know, Bill, the only member of SELF not representing our group in the eight-man tag at Liberty or Death is myself. So what I'm here to do is address the fans. Make sure you tune in to Liberty or Death this Saturday, because I'm making a promise. Trent Acid may not be in the main event, but he's going to make an impact nonetheless. This Saturday, I'll give all you fans something to remember, and that's a promise.

(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)

David: Trent Acid's going to give us something to remember at Liberty or Death? What could he mean?

Dick: I don't know, I guess everyone will just have to tune in and find out for themselves.

David: It's main event time as Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble, the Pyro Twins, are set for tag team action.

Dick: They have to be ecstatic with the news that they will receive a tag team title shot after Liberty or Death. They could finally get their hands on the UKWC if they retain on Saturday.

("It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake and Delirious make their way to the ring.)

David: The Eccentric Alliance is represented tonight. Cheesecake came so close to being MECCA Champion a couple of weeks ago, but as usual, SELF had to ruin it.

Dick: Punk made smart use of his guys. If the Eccentric Alliance had been a bit smarter, it might be Cheesecake holding that belt right now.

(FINISH: Delirious hits Shadows over Hell on Dusty and covers, but Jay makes the save. Cheesecake comes back in and gives Jay a spinebuster. He sets Dusty up for the Long Kiss Goodnight, but Dusty counters into an armwringer and whips Cheesecake into Delirious. Jay dropkicks Cheesecake in the back of the head, sending him through the ropes. Jay and Dusty measure Delirious and then hit Final Darkness. Dusty covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins

David: The Pyro Twins are victorious heading into Liberty or Death, and that has to make C.M. Punk happy... wait, it's not over!

(Cheesecake attacks Dusty and Jay with right hands, but Eddie Crowe hits the ring and attacks him from behind. C.M. Punk follows Eddie to the ring, shouting orders. Huh limps down to the ring, but Punk makes quick work of him, ramming him into the guardrail. After SELF pounds on Huh, Cheesecake and Delirious for a few moments, Spanky runs out and slides into the ring. He gives Jay Sliced Bread #2 and whips Dusty into the ropes, hitting a leg lariat. Huh slides in and he and Cheesecake give Eddie a double looper. SELF retreats up the ramp as "La Macarena" plays.)

David: It's gang warfare out here between SELF and the Eccentric Alliance, but their match isn't until Saturday. Join us again in four days, fans, as MECCA presents Liberty or Death. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills. Good night!
