("Neocon" opening.)
David: This is MECCA Go Time, ladies and gentlemen, and we're glad you could join us. We're here in St. Louis, Missourri, and we have an action packed show tonight.
Dick: In the main event, Low Ki takes on Huh from the Eccentric Alliance!
David: Also, a ladies tag team match, as Shadow and Misery represent the Dangerous Liaison against Kelly Schweickart and newcomer Zoe Alexander. And here we go with a rematch from Midsummer Night Slam!
("The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're going to see a one on one encounter right here as a preview for the SELF vs. Eccentric Alliance eight-man tag at Liberty or Death in just eleven days in Lansing, Michigan. Eddie Crowe is as formidable as they come, and it's evident that he is certainly C.M. Punk's student.
Dick: He's climbing through the rankings fast here in MECCA, and tonight he's looking to get back his spot on the Contender Star.
("It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring.)
David: Cheesecake came so close last week to winning the MECCA Championship from C.M. Punk, and thanks to Eddie Crowe, it didn't happen.
Dick: Yeah, where was Cheesecake's backup when that happened? That's what he gets for hanging around a bunch of buffoons. But he can't let that get him down. This is an important match for him, and he can't be thinking about last week.
(FINISH: Cheesecake hits a couple of clotheslines and a falling headbutt. He covers for a two count. He signals for the Long Kiss Goodnight, but Eddie runs him into the corner. He whips Cheesecake to the opposite corner and charges, but Cheesecke reverses. He charges, but Eddie gets his feet up. He goes to the top rope and tries a flying bodypress, but Cheesecake rolls through and gets a two count. Cheesecake whips Eddie into the ropes and gives him a flapjack, rolling him up with a 3/4 Nelson. Eddie escapes just before the three count, but gets sent down with a back elbow. Cheesecake bounces off the ropes, but Eddie delivers a spinning heel kick to the shins. Cheesecake falls flat on his face, and Eddie hits the Gutwrench Driver. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: The Contender Star is now changed, as Eddie reclaims his spot.
Dick: Cheesecake seemed a little off, unlike in his first encounter with Eddie. I guess when it rains, it pours.
David: I'm sure Cheesecake will get another chance eventually, but right now, Eddie is holding his spot hostage, since he refuses to take a title match against his mentor.
(Backstage, Shadow is walking down the hallway. She stops in front of Katie Piehl's office, knocks, and then goes in. Katie is sitting at her desk.)
Shadow: You wanted to see me?
Katie: Shadow. You know, the way you won that title that Lisa Letty worked so hard to build up makes me sick to my stomach.
Shadow: Well, thank you.
Katie: Be that as it may, you are my Ladies' Champion, and that's no trivial feat. Listen, with the way things have been going lately, I have some plans for that title and Liberty or Death...
Shadow: Say no more, Katie, I'm way ahead of you. I've found a challenger already.
Katie: Who?
Shadow: The "Sensation of Submission" Gail Kim.
Katie: Gail Kim? Hmm.
Shadow: What?
Katie: I find it coincidental that both women you've given title shots to are your new friends.
Shadow: As a champion, I have a right to...
Katie: ...accept challenges, I know. All right, Shadow, you can have your match against Gail Kim at Liberty or Death. But after that, I will pick the next challenger.
Shadow: But I...
Katie: That's my final word. Have a nice night, and good luck on July 30.
(Shadow gives Katie a look and then leaves.)
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Cynric is walking when Kevin Stone suddenly attacks from behind. He rams Cynric into some production equipment and then into some CLANGY PIPES. He finishes with a spinning chokeslam on the concrete.)
Stone: You know, Cynric, after what you did last week, normally I'd just tell you to stay out of my business. But you see, that's no longer possible since we'll be meeting in the ring at Liberty or Death. This is just a friendly reminder of what I used to be. On July 30, I won't be so nice.
(Kevin leaves as Cynric groans and coughs.)
(In the arena, "Gangsta Bitch" by Eve hits and Shadow and Misery make their way to the ring.) David: We just witnessed a despicable attack by Kevin Stone. But the bigger news is that at Liberty or Death, it will be Stone vs. Cynric!
Dick: Former tag partners and friends collide, and as we heard before the break, current friends collide in the Ladies' Title Match.
David: Yes, Shadow is giving her friend Gail Kim a title shot despite Gail not doing anything recently to earn that opportunity.
Dick: Hey, that's what friends are for. Remember when Lisa Letty gave her friend Shadow a title shot?
David: Please.
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart and Zoe Alexander make their way to the ring.)
David: We saw this newcomer Zoe Alexander on the countdown show to Midsummer Night Slam, where she beat Misery with a move she calls the Zoetrope.
Dick: Misery is definitely looking to avenge that loss, as Kelly is looking to get revenge on Shadow.
(FINISH: Zoe gets the hot tag and gives Misery a back body drop. Shadow comes in and gets a clothesline as Zoe bounces off the ropes, delivering a flying headscissors takeover on Misery. She gets behind Misery and hits the Zoetrope. She makes the cover, but Shadow breaks it up. Kelly comes in and charges Shadow, but Shadow pulls down the top rope to send Kelly to the floor. Shadow gets back in her corner as Misery gets whipped into the ropes. Shadow makes a blind tag and puts on some brass knuckles. Misery slides between Zoe's legs, and as Zoe confronts her, Shadow nails her in the back of the head. She quickly applies a dragon sleeper, falling back with a body scissors and concealing the brass knuckles from referee Nikki Alvarado. After a few moments, Zoe taps out.)
Winners: Shadow and Misery
David: The Dangerous Liaison gets the victory after Shadow cheated to win. Dastardly!
Dick: What? She tagged in fair and square.
David: I was talking about the brass knuckles. Welcome to MECCA, Zoe Alexander.
(Shadow and Misery celebrate, and Shadow gets up in the corner with the title belt. Suddenly, Lisa Letty runs in through the crowd and slides into the ring. She spins Misery around and hits her with right hands, then throws her through the ropes. Shadow gets down and turns around just as Lisa spears her to the mat. She pounds Shadow with right hands, but Misery pulls Shadow out of the ring. They retreat up the aisle.)
David: Lisa Letty has returned! This is the first we've seen of her since Midsummer Night Slam.
Dick: And she just blindsided the Ladies' Champion!
(Lisa yells at Shadow as "Edge of Seventeen" plays.)
David: Katie Piehl said she'd pick the next challenger after Liberty or Death. If Shadow retains, could we get a Lisa/Shadow rematch? We'll be right back, fans!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Spanky, Huh and Delirious are walking when they come across Dreamo, who's fast asleep on the concession table. Medea Knight is standing beside him, doing her nails. Spanky whispers to Huh and points at them and they walk over.)
Spanky: Hey. Medea Knight, right?
Medea: Hello. Yes, I'm Medea. You must be Spanky.
Spanky: Representative extraordinare of the Eccentric Alliance, mademoiselle.
(He kisses the back of her hand and Medea giggles.)
Delirious: Asha, asha, intelegrop. Bah!
Medea: You must be Delirious, and that makes you...
Huh: Huh?
Medea: Right.
Spanky: Anyway, we saw you and Dreamo in action two weeks ago and we like your style. We think you'd fit in perfectly with the Eccentric Alliance. What do you say?
Medea: Us in the Eccentric Alliance? Dreamo, wake up!
(She jostles Dreamo, who mutters and rolls over. Medea sighs and picks up an alarm clock. She sets it off in Dreamo's ear and he jumps up, wide awake.)
Dreamo: Attack!
(He runs off down the hallway, looking for someone to fight.)
Medea: We... would be thrilled to be a part of the Eccentric Alliance.
Spanky: Gteat! We'll get you your membership cards printed right away, and your very own key to the company Pinto. See you later.
(Spanky and Delirious walk off, but Huh lingers.)
Medea: Yes?
Huh: Uh... in case you can't tell, I'm a little nervous...
Medea: Oh, yeah! Good luck in your match against Low Ki tonight.
Huh: I have a match against Low Ki!? I'm gonna die!
(He runs after Spanky and Delirious.)
Huh: Guys! Help!
(Meanwhile, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: Andy Nathans, Jack Fletcher, you still remain undefeated in tag team competition and for those MECCA Tag Titles. You've definitely been fighting champions.
Nathans: That's right, but do you know what our reign has come down to? Being challenged by that loser Joey Sprinklers, which happened earlier today. We had a good laugh over that one, didn't we? But Joey, if you want a title shot, you've got one. If you can find someone willing to team with your pathetic ass.
Fletcher: Is this the best that MECCA can offer? I mean, we won the International Invitational, kicked the holy hell out of the Eccentric Alliance, broke up the formidable team of Stone and Cynric, and this is all that's left?
Bill: Actually, I was informed by Katie Piehl earlier today that's not it. Because should you get by Joey Sprinklers and his partner at Liberty or Death, your next challengers will be none other than the Pyro Twins.
Nathans: What!? The bloody Pyro Twins!?
Fletcher: This is an outrage! We've beaten them already!
Bill: That's what I was told.
(Nathans and Fletcher calm themselves down.)
Fletcher: All right. All right... if that's how it is, then that's how it is. Come on, Andy, we've got some strategy to go over.
(They walk away.)
Bill: The UK Wrecking Crew vs. the Pyro Twins would certainly be a money match, ladies and gentlemen. When we come back, we'll have our main event of Huh vs. Low Ki. Don't miss it.
(Commercial Break)
(In the arena, "Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: The intense Low Ki is set for action in our main event tonight.
Dick: If there's even going to be a main event. Huh's probably halfway back to Dayton by now.
David: Low Ki has his rematch with Nykk at Liberty or Death, with the winner getting the next title shot at Punk. But first he has to stay on the Contender Star.
("Pajamarama" hits but Huh doesn't make his way to the ring.)
David: What's going on? Where's Huh?
Dick: I told you, he's scared of Low Ki. He's not going to come out here.
(Finally, Cheesecake drags Huh to the ring, offering words of encouragement. Huh struggles with him, and Low Ki comes outside and nails both of them.)
David: Low Ki's not going to wait for Huh to get in the ring. He's ready for a fight right now.
(Low Ki throws Huh into the ring and the bell rings.)
(FINISH: Low Ki demolishes Huh for the most part, but when he goes for a Tidal Crush, Huh ducks, bowling over referee David Bowers on his way out of the corner. He gives Low Ki an avalanche, and then a bulldog. He goes up for the moonsault, but starts dancing on the top turnbuckle. Low Ki comes over and shoves him, crotching Huh on the top turnbuckle. Low Ki tells the crowd that it's over, but Nykk runs in through the crowd and slides in the ring. He gives Low Ki Howling Moon II and turns him over. He yanks a limp Huh backwards off the turnbuckles so that Huh lands on top of Low Ki. Bowersr wakes up and makes the three count as Nykk exits the ring.)
Winner: Huh
David: I don't believe it! Huh just beat Low Ki!
Dick: No, David, Nykk beat Low Ki! What's he doing? Is he stupid?
David: The game of one-upsmanship continues, as Katie Piehl said that Nykk or Low Ki had to be on the Contender Star to get their title shot, and Huh just took Low Ki's spot!
(Huh makes a run for it when he sees Low Ki stir. Low Ki gets up and glares at Nykk. Nykk just smiles back at him from the aisle.)
David: Nykk has just incensed Low Ki. Their match at Liberty or Death is going to be off the charts.
Dick: Nykk better know what he's doing, because we've seen how easily Low Ki can hurt him before.
David: We've got one more show before Liberty or Death on July 30, fans. Be sure to join us next week for more MECCA action!
