Go Time: 6/7/05

Indianapolis, IN

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome to Go Time, ladies and gentlemen, brought to you by MECCA! Last week we saw the number one contenders for the MECCA Tag Team Titles decided, and this week we find out who is going to face the MECCA Champion at Midsummer Night Slam, live on pay-per-view. It will be a Four Way Dance: Low Ki vs. Alan Mayse vs. Eddie Crowe vs. Nykk, who will hopefully be in good enough health to wrestle tonight.

Dick: Also, the main event will see the MECCA Champion C.M. Punk take on Cheesecake from the Eccentric Alliance.

("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring.)

David: Speaking of the MECCA Champion, he's on his way out to address the crowd. He wasn't here last week, otherwise I'm sure we would have heard from him, but he's coming off his first successful title defense over Alan Mayse at Punked Out.

Dick: Alan has a chance to redeem himself and get a rematch here tonight, but the title defenses are just going to get tougher and more frequent for Punk from here on.

Punk: I stand here before you tonight a proud man. And there are those who say that pride is a sin, but pride can also be a pillar of strength... in the right hands. And trust me, I know how to control my pride. A couple of weeks ago at Punked Out, I beat Alan Mayse. I beat the guy who held the RCW Championship longer than anybody, the guy notorious for finding a way to win no matter how dire his circumstances. He tapped out to my Anaconda Vice and showed all of MECCA that I am better than him. And as we go into tonight, to determine who the next challenger of my throne will be... in the end, it will prove nothing. Already I've beaten three out of four competitors in that Four Way Dance. Mayse, I took you out just a few days ago. Nykk, I'm sure you haven't forgotten the MECCA Challenge, where I humiliated you in your hometown. Low Ki, we met in the Round Robin, and I came out on top at Melee. Eddie... I've allowed you to be in this match and the Contender Star for one reason. To scout the competition for me. If you win this match, well... we both know how that would turn out. But as it turns out, it will all be irrelevant for one competitor. I'm sorry I wasn't here to see this, but last week Nykk was taken out by Low Ki, and I hear he's still at home recuperating. That limits the field to three. At Midsummer Night Slam, no matter who steps up, they're going to find out what happens when you try to rise above your means. I will...

("I've Got the Power" hits and Katie Piehl makes her way to the ring.)

David: Here comes the co-owner of MECCA, Katie Piehl, and she looks like she has something to say.

Katie: Punk, you're absolutely right. Nykk is not here tonight, thanks to Low Ki. Trust me, that's thrown my booking plans far enough out of whack without you rubbing it in all our faces. Nykk will not be here tonight, but there will be a replacement.

Punk: Who is it?

Katie: I'll just wait and let you find that out yourself. I'd be more worried about Cheesecake if I were you.

Punk: Cheesecake? You honestly think a goof like that could threaten me? I'm the MECCA Champion. Come Midsummer Night Slam, you'll see that I'm not just the franchise player. I'm the only franchise player in this organization!

("Miseria Cantare" plays and Punk leaves the ring.)

David: Punk has quite a month ahead of him, starting tonight. We just found out that Nykk won't be in the Four Way Dance, but who will be the replacement? The Four Way Dance is next!

(In the locker room, Lisa Letty kicks a locker in anger. Shadow is attempting to calm her down.)

Shadow: Lisa, there's nothing to be done about it. Just let it go, all right?

Lisa: How can I let it go? The Dangerous Liaison jumped me again last week, and I'm supposed to let it go? I have a title defense coming up at Midsummer Night Slam, and I have to give one of those bitches a title shot?

Shadow: You've beaten them all before. I'm sure you can do it again.

Lisa: That's right, I've been there. Now that they're all together and coming after me, what can I do? They don't deserve a title shot, yet one of them has to get it.

Shadow: Well... why should they? Look, you've been fighting the Dangerous Liaison from day one here in MECCA. If one of your enemies won't do for a title shot... how about one of your friends?

Lisa: What are you saying?

Shadow: I'm saying that I want a title shot, and I'm sure Kelly would like one too.

Lisa: You know... that could work. It would be an honor to face you or Kelly and defend this belt against someone who plays fair.

Shadow: Great! I'll go talk to Katie Piehl right now! This means so much to me, Lisa.

(She leaves the locker room.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back and getting set for the Four Way Dance that will determine who gets a shot at C.M. Punk at Midsummer Night Slam, and Alan Mayse would certainly like another shot at the title.

Dick: He failed to win it at Punked Out, but Alan is a winner. He can definitely bounce back.

("The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: What's odd is that Eddie and Punk are both accepting of him being in this match. Eddie could very well win this and face his mentor on June 25.

Dick: I for one would love to see that match, but I don't think Eddie would be ready to face his mentor at this point.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: Low Ki would certainly like to get this title shot. If he fails here, he'll need a major win, probably over one of the others in the Contender Star, to be considered for a shot at the title.

Dick: Low Ki already took Nykk out of this match, but who's going to replace him?

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric has answered the challenge!

Dick: It makes sense, given that Cynric is the only one left in the Contender Star, but if he wins, would he get both the tag title shot and the heavyweight title shot?

(Cynric slides in the ring and attacks Eddie Crowe as the bell rings.)

(FINISH: The first elimination occurs when Cynric hits Eddie with the Lift Off and covers for the three count. The second elimination occurs a few minutes later, when Low Ki gives Alan a phoenix splash for the pin. Eventually, Cynric and Low Ki fight to the top rope where Low Ki hits an undetected low blow. He goes for a top rope Ki Krusher, but Cynric escapes and they both land on their feet. Cynric rolls up Low Ki and gets the three count.)

Winner: Cynric

David: Cynric did it! He's got a shot at the MECCA Championship!

Dick: But where does that leave his match with Kevin Stone against the UK Wrecking Crew? Will he get two title shots in one night?

David: I don't know, but Cynric looks overjoyed at this opportunity he's just won. We'll be right back, ladies and gentlemen!

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, Kevin Stone is dousing Cynric with champagne.)

Kevin: I can't believe it, you've won two title shots on the same night! Can you imagine us as tag champs with the heavyweight title over your shoulder? This is awesome.

(Katie Piehl enters the room.)

Cynric: Ms. Piehl!

Katie: Cynric, on behalf of myself and the board of directors, congratulations on your victory.

Cynric: Thank you.

Katie: Now, I'm here to discuss matters at Midsummer Night Slam.

Cynric: Don't worry. After Kevin and I win the tag titles, I'll save enough energy to put on a great main event with Punk.

Katie: That's just it. If you could win the tag titles, that's fine. But I don't want to risk injury with one half of my main event. I'm sorry to say this, but you're going to have to choose between the tag title shot and the heavyweight title shot.

Kevin: What!?

Cynric: Are you kidding me? (sighs and thinks for a moment) Well... I'm sorry, Kevin, but we're just going to have to go for the tag titles some other time. This is a huge opportunity for me. I can't pass it up.

Kevin: You... you're giving up our... well... I understand. We'll get that title shot some other time.

Cynric: Thanks, partner. This is a huge opportunity, and I can't let it slide past.

Katie: Don't worry, Kevin. You still have your shot at Nathans and Fletcher. You just need to find a new partner.

Kevin: Well, all right. I'm going to go look for someone now. See you later, Cynric. Congratulations.

(He leaves the locker room.)

(In the arena, "Take it Off" his and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: In lieu of the Cynric/Stone vs. The UKWC match, it looks like Kevin will have to pick a new partner if he wants his tag title shot.

Dick: It's unfortunate, but Cynric would have been a fool to turn down a shot at C.M. Punk.

David: Well, we understand that this match will determine who gets the next Ladies' Title shot against Lisa Letty.

Dick: Lisa didn't think the Dangerous Liaison deserved another shot at the title, so Shadow suggested that maybe one of her friends could get a title shot.

("Faint" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: Shadow would certainly love to have a chance at winning the Ladie's Title. She's no stranger to titles.

Dick: I would have to give her the advantage in this contest, due to experience.

(FINISH: Kelly whips Shadow into the ropes, but Shadow slides beneath her legs and grabs a waistlock. Kelly elbows her in the head and bounces off the ropes, but Shadow hits the Interceptor out of nowhere and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Shadow

David: Shadow gets the victory and a shot at Lisa Letty.

Dick: That should be a great match, which will most likely take place at Midsummer Night Slam on June 25.

(Backstage, the Eccentric Alliance is on their way to the ring.)

Spanky: Come on, Cheesecake. Make us proud and beat Punk. Maybe you'll end up bringing the MECCA Championship into our fold one of these days.

Cheesecake: It'th time for Th'ee.M. Punk to experiment with th'omething that he doe'th'n't like to do... go down!

Delirious: Bah?

Huh: Huh?

(They all stop as the Pyro Twins and Eddie Crowe block their path.)

Eddie: You think we're going to let one of you four make a mockery of the title that Punk worked so hard to win? You are nothing but a stain on what this company stands for, and SELF cannot allow that. Dusty, Jay... get them.

(Dusty and Jay attack the Eccentric Alliance, and Eddie joins in. Spanky pushes Cheesecake out of the way and tells him to go to the ring. The Eccentric Alliance and SELF continue brawling as officials come in to separate them.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the ring, "Miseria Cantare" is playing and C.M. Punk is in the ring.)

David: We're back and ready for our main event, a non-title match. If you missed it, Eddie Crowe and the Pyro Twins assaulted the Eccentric Alliance before the break, and we learned that SELF did in fact get the better of them.

Dick: That's a good thing. It means no Eccentric Alliance members out here.

("It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring.)

David: This is a tremendous opportunity for Cheesecake, even though it's non-title. If he can get a win over Punk and get onto the Contender Star, he'll definitely be in line for a title shot.

Dick: That would be a sad day indeed, if Cheesecake were to become MECCA Champion.

David: We know that C.M. Punk will be defending the MECCA Championship on June 25 against Cynric, but after that, who knows?

(FINISH: Cheesecake clotheslines Punk over the top rope but takes himself over as well. They get to their feet on the outside, exchanging right hands as referee David Bowers counts. At seven, they get up to the apron, and Eddie Crowe runs down. He slides in the ring and goes for a running dropkick on Cheesecake. Cheesecake moves and Eddie nails Punk, who slides to the floor at nine. Cheesecake rolls into the ring and beats the count.)

Winner: Cheesecake

David: I don't believe it! Cheesecake just beat Punk!

Dick: No, Eddie just beat Punk! What a miscalculation.

David: Nonetheless, the referee decided to allow the interference as it backfired, giving Cheesecake the win via count-out.

(Eddie and Punk start beating up Cheesecake.)

David: Uh oh, here we go. Punk is incensed that he lost this match.

(Huh limps down to the ring, and slides in, but promptly gets his ass kicked by Eddie. Eddie gives him the Gutwrench Driver as Punk locks Cheesecake in the Anaconda Vice. Eddie stomps Cheesecake as he's in the hold, but Cynric suddenly runs out. He ducks a clothesline from Eddie and hits a spin kick to the stomach. He follows up with a crescent kick to knock him down. Punk attacks from behind and whips Cynric into the ropes, but Cynric reverses, drops and spins, elbowing Punk in the midsection. Cynric hits Punk in the face with the back of his fist and then sweeps the legs. Punk and Eddie roll out of the ring as "Soul Creation" plays.)

David: It looks like Cynric has seen enough of SELF for one night. He came out and saved the Eccentrics.

Dick: He may have caught Punk off guard here, but rest assured, when he regroups Punk is going to think of some way to get back at Cynric.

David: That's all the time we have tonight, ladies and gentleman. We'll see you next week!
