Go Time: 5/17/05

Milwaukee, WI

("Neocon" opening.)

David: MECCA is making its debut in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, right here tonight! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and this is Go Time! What a main event we have tonight, as Nykk will be taking on Dusty Schneble of the Pyro Twins.

Dick: There's no doubt that Dusty's unhappy that Nykk wants to tear apart his best friend Eddie Crowe at Punked Out.

David: Speaking of Eddie, he'll also be in action tonight as he has finally accepted the challenge of Cynric.

Dick: Eddie feels that he's finally ready to take on Cynric, and we'll find out if that's true right here tonight.

("Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're starting out with one half of the MECCA Tag Team Champions, Andy Nathans.

Dick: He has to be upset now that the International Invitational World Cup is in the hands of the Pyro Twins rather than the Eccentric Alliance.

David: That didn't stop him from requesting a match with Cheesecake right here tonight, though.

("It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring.)

David: Nathans is out for blood, but we're told that the Eccentrics have been actively requesting a tag title shot ever since their friends Reckless Abandon came up short last week.

Dick: They were impressive in winning their feud with KDX, and have held tag team gold in the past. Can they do what their friends couldn't and beat the UKWC?

(FINISH: Cheesecake misses a falling headbutt and Nathans tries a vertical suplex. Cheesecake escapes and pushes Nathans into the ropes. Cheesecake drops to his back for a kick to the chest from the mat, but Nathans stops and counters with a rollup. He gets a two count and rolls off when it looks like Cheesecake's getting into it a little too much. Cheesecake mocks Nathans, who charges him. Cheesecake ducks a clothesline and executes a crucifix, segueing into a rollup for the three count.)

Winner: Cheesecake

David: Cheesecake wins it!

Dick: Nathans succumbed to the mind games of Cheesecake and he paid for it. He and Fletcher are still undefeated in tag team competition, though.

David: This gives the Eccentrics even more leverage in asking for a title shot.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with C.M. Punk.)

Bill: C.M. Punk, last week we found out that your first title defense at Punked Out will be against Alan Mayse, the man who pinned Low Ki at the MECCA Challenge and the man who almost pinned you last week.

Punk: Almost pinned me? Funny, I thought you had to actually get your opponent on his back before you could pin him. Alan Mayse did no such thing. Yeah, he got past Low Ki at the MECCA Challenge. But Low Ki didn't win the Round Robin and become the first MECCA Champion. I did. I'm better than Alan Mayse, and at Punked Out, that truth will become evident.

Bill: Later tonight, Alan will take on your pet project, Trent Acid. Is it safe to assume that you'll be watching this match?

Punk: Yeah, you could say that. Acid's come a long way in cleaning up his life since I got a hold of him, and it's starting to show in his wrestling. Alan, you better not be looking past him, because if you are, Trent will surprise you. And how sweet would that be? The number one contender losing to one of my guys. Mayse, not only do you have Acid to worry about, but you have May 28 to worry about. I'll see your shoulders pinned to the mat, and when that happens, you'll see the power of straight edge.

(He does the X pose.)

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Lisa Letty is getting a drink of water from a water fountain when Shadow walks up.)

Lisa: Hey, Shadow.

Shadow: Hey. Look, about last week... I'm sorry I cost you your match. When I saw Misery grab that chair, it just brought back flashes of what she did to me the week before, and I just snapped. I didn't have any business being out there anyway.

Lisa: It's okay, really. It doesn't matter, because at Punked Out, my title will be on the line against Misery. And after I beat her, my loss to her last week won't matter. I've proven a lot over the past few months, and Misery is not going to be the one to take this belt from me.

Shadow: Well... again, I'm sorry. I'm going now. See you later.

(She leaves.)

Lisa: Yeah, see you later. Relax.

(In the arena, "The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: Shadow just apologized to the Ladies' Champion for getting involved last week, though I can't say I blame her. But right now, a grudge match two months in the making. Just the fact that Nykk picked Eddie as his opponent at Punked Out seems to have convinced Eddie that he's ready for this match.

Dick: I think he's absolutely ready to move up. He may not quite be sure that he can take Cynric or Nykk, but you don't get better by wrestling people you know you can beat.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric is looking to tear Eddie into little pieces after all the months of frustration over Eddie being held back from facing him by C.M. Punk.

Dick: But Cynric can't win the match if he's concentrating on revenge. Emotion will get you every time.

(FINISH: Eddie goes for the Gutwrench Driver, but Cynric somersaults out of it and hits him with a spinning crescent kick. He hits Eddie with a rolling koppo kick and goes to the top rope, hitting an elbow drop. He sets up for the Lift Off, but Eddie counters with a belly to belly suplex. He applies the Cobra Clutch and goes for the Russian Legsweep to take Cynric down, but Cynric blocks his foot and counters with a judo throw. He hits the Lift Off, but Jay Crowe runs down to ringside. He distracts the ref and Cynric comes over and superkicks Jay off the apron. Eddie hits a low blow and then a Russian Legsweep, segueing into the Crowe's Nest. After a few moments, Cynric taps out.)

Winner: Eddie Crowe

David: Eddie picks up the victory after nailing Cynric in the nuts off of a distraction from his brother Jay. Dastardly!

Dick: He made him tap to the Crowe's Nest, just like everyone else before him. Eddie is ready to take on Nykk. I'm seeing signs of greatness in this young man.

(Eddie and Jay celebrate as Cynric glares at Jay.)

David: Cynric is not happy about this, and I would expect some retribution on one half of the Pyro Twins in the future. Up next, Alan Mayse will be in action against SELF member Trent Acid. Don't go away!

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Misery.)

Bill: Misery, I'm sure you heard the comments earlier by Lisa Letty, about how she is not going to let you take the title from her at Punked Out.

Misery: I really don't understand. I only tried to help you realize, Lisa, that you need to prepare for the eventuality that someone is going to take the Ladies' Title from you. Shadow, you just happened to get in the way. I'm sorry if there was some misunderstanding there, but as of last week I've beaten the Ladies' Champion. That means, at Punked Out, my victory over Lisa is practically certain. I tried to be your friend at one time, Lisa, and you sent me away. Now I'm going to take that title from you that you hold so dear. Misery loves company, and that belt will be all the company I need.

(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back here in Milwaukee, and Trent Acid is set for action.

Dick: An enormous transformation has come over Trent since joining C.M. Punk's SELF, but he still hasn't won too many matches.

David: One step at a time, I guess.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: Here comes the number one contender!

Dick: Alan was chosen as the first challenger to the MECCA Championship, but I have to question that. Sure, he beat Low Ki and he beat Punk by DQ last week, but he wasn't here fighting through the Round Robin like so many others were months ago.

David: I think Katie Piehl knows what she's doing. Alan is definitely a worthy challenger, even he hasn't been here that long.

(FINISH: Acid goes for the Yakuza Kick, but Alan catches his foot. He spins Acid around and hits a dropkick. He gives Acid an exploder suplex and then goes to the outside. He goes for a springboard dropkick, but Acid moves and rolls him up with a Byer Bridge for a two count. Acid clotheslines Alan and goes for a reverse brainbuster, but Alan escapes and spins Acid, kneeing him in the midsection. He hits the Tiger Bomb and gets the three count.)

Winner: Alan Mayse

David: Alan picks up an impressive victory over Trent Acid, and C.M. Punk had to see himself getting a Tiger Bomb and being pinned.

Dick: How do you know? Punk's probably already thought of a dozen counters.

(Alan gets his hand raised, but Punk suddenly runs in and attacks him from behind. He lays into Alan as Acid wakes up and adds in some stomps.)

David: Speaking of Punk, he just blindsided Alan. This guy's paranoid!

(They pick Alan up and give him a T-Gimmick. Punk applies the Anaconda Vice, and Alan taps out.)

Dick: Alan is tapping out to Punk's finishing hold, and the same thing could very well happen on May 28.

("Miseria Cantare" plays as Punk gets up, smirking down at Alan. He and Acid do the X pose before leaving.)

David: Punk is sending a message to Alan by making him tap to the Anaconda Vice. Up next is our main event, as Dusty Schneble takes the ring as the third member of SELF to see action tonight, and he will go against Nykk.

(Commercial Break)

(In the locker room, Nykk is sitting in a corner by himself.)

Nykk: It's a funny thing, really. When I run into fans of MECCA, they all think that it's the coolest thing in the world, me being able to run my own promotion and wrestle in it too. And yes that is very nice, but there are some people who are just determined to ruin that. C.M. Punk, you like to think that you're better than everyone. That's exactly what my philosophy used to be. You know what happened? I matured. We can only go full throttle for so long before we burn ourselves out, Punk. I realized it in time. Will you before the day comes when you lie crippled in the middle of the ring, looking up at me holding that MECCA Championship? And Jay Crowe... my, we've been through a lot together, haven't we? And after all we went through not just in the business, but in life, you had to throw it all away to protect a brother that doesn't want your help. Eddie, you and I will meet at Punked Out. But after what happened tonight, it looks like Jay might have his own skin to worry about. What are you going to do without your brother? Yes, you got past Cynric, but just barely so. With everything that he did to you during the match, can you imagine what I'm going to do to you? Punked Out marks the wakeup call for Eddie Crowe. I'll teach you just how dangerous this business can be. And Dusty... tonight, I've got you. I'm coming for you right now. Your doom has arrived, because now the Alpha Wolf hunts.

(Nykk gets up and leaves.)

(In the arena, "Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)

David: Nykk had some strong words for the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation, and now he has to step into the ring with one of his former best friends.

Dick: I've seen Nykk and Dusty go through a lot together, but it's all out the window now.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: The Alpha Wolf has waited for the chance to get either Jay or Dusty one on one for some time now.

Dick: And he has Eddie Crowe on May 28, so it looks like he may go through SELF in its entirety before getting back at C.M. Punk.

(FINISH: Nykk goes for the Cedarleaf, but Dusty manages to grab the ropes. Nykk lets up and Dusty pokes him in the eye. Dusty follows up with a uranage suplex and signals for the Rope Burn II. He drapes Nykk across the top rope, but Nykk counters into a neckbreaker. He whips Dusty into the corner and charges, but Dusty gets his feet up. He tries to climb the turnbuckles, but Nykk catches him with forearms to the back as he reaches the second rope. He puts Dusty in a reverse front facelock and pulls him out of the corner, giving him Howling Moon II. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Nykk

David: Nykk is victorious over his former friend. He's on his way to Punked Out to teach Eddie Crowe a lesson.

Dick: Yeah, but Nykk may be the one to learn the lesson. Don't ever go into a match saying you're teaching a lesson, because you'll learn not to look down on your opponent when it's your shoulders pinned to the mat.

David: That's all the time we have this week. Join us again next week for the final Go Time before Punked Out!
