Go Time: 4/12/05

Chicago Ridge, IL

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome once again to MECCA Go Time, fans! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we've got a great show lined up for tonight.

Dick: We don't know what the main event is, only that Cynric has something in mind. Other than that, the International Invitational continues, as Reckless Abandon take on Takemura and Sakota.

David: The Pyro Twins will no doubt be watching anxiously, as they will face the winners next week, in the finals of the lower brackets. Also, Shadow will be here, and she'll take on the "Sensation of Submission" Gail Kim, plus we'll hear from Nykk.

("Entre dos Tierras" hits and Dick Togo makes his way to the ring, accompanied by David Caldwell.)

David: We're starting off with the feud between the Eccentrics and Kaientai Deluxe, which took another interesting turn last week when the Eccentrics cost them their final shot at winning the International Invitational.

Dick: David Caldwell doesn't look too happy.

(Caldwell gets a mic.)

Caldwell: You know, when I came to MECCA, I thought that just maybe I would get a fair shake here. But what I come to find is that the deck is not only stacked against me, but against my clients in KDX! We've been making minced meat out of the Eccentrics, week after week, and what happens? They multiply like a bunch of cockroaches! Well, I plan to be the exterminator tonight when my friend Dick Togo...

(He's cut off when "It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring, dressed in a very flamboyant and skimpy outfit. Togo looks nervous.)

David: I'm glad that Cheesecake came out here to shut Caldwell up, but what's with that outfit?

Dick: He did the same thing in RCW. It scares his opponents to death.

(FINISH: Cheesecake makes a comeback against Togo, but when he bounces off the ropes, Caldwell catches his foot. Cheesecake turns around and pulls Caldwell up on the apron, and asks the crowd if he should hit him. He finally shakes his head and plants a big kiss on Caldwell's lips. Togo attacks from behind, and referee David Bowers goes over to tell Caldwell to get off the apron. Togo puts Cheesecake in a full nelson as Kaz Hayashi runs down to the ring. He goes for a spinning heel kick on Cheesecake, but Cheesecake gets a go behind and pushes Togo into Hayashi. They knock heads, and Cheesecake gives Togo the Long Kiss Goodnight. He then hits the Screw Driver on Hayashi, placing him on top of Togo in a 69 position. He gets on top of Hayashi as the ref turns around. He's confused at Hayashi being sandwiched in between Cheesecake and Togo, but counts the pin anyway.)

Winner: Cheesecake

David: Cheesecake overcame the odds and just pinned Dick Togo!

Dick: No, no, Kaz Hayashi pinned Dick Togo. What kind of a call was that? Cheesecake wasn't even touching him!

(Caldwell comes in and nails Cheesecake in the back of the head with the Japanese flag. He tells KDX to get to work. Kaz picks Cheesecake up and gives him the WA4, and they start stomping him. Kaz puts him in a Boston Crab as Togo goes to the top rope for the Senton Bomb. However, Huh runs down and grabs the top rope as he gets in the ring, accidentally crotching Togo. He pushes Kaz off of Cheesecake, and Kaz charges Huh, only to get a Windbreaker. As Huh helps Cheesecake up, Caldwell hits him from behind with a forearm. Huh turns around and grabs Caldwell by the collar, but Togo and Kaz pull him out of the ring.)

David: Dammit, they almost got that scab David Caldwell. I guess the Eccentrics will have to wait for another day.

Dick: This feud is definitely starting to heat up now that they don't have the International Invitational to prepare for.

David: When we come back, Shadow will take on Gail Kim, but right now, Bill Bicknell is with Nykk.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Nykk.)

Bill: Nykk, we are just eighteen days away from the MECCA Challenge, where you and C.M. Punk will face off for the MECCA Championship. You had a brief opportunity to get at Punk last week in that tag match, but afterwards you, Cynric and Ronin Fox were beaten down by SELF.

Nykk: Yes, it's definitely a bad situation for me, Bill. On one hand, Ronin Fox and Cynric are two of the best allies I could ever hope to have. On the other hand, they also happen to be two of the men who have hated me most for the past two years, so it's no wonder they were able to beat us down so easily. Yes, Punk and I did tangle briefly last week, but this isn't a 'revenge' kind of rivalry that I have with him. Our rivalry involves who the better wrestler is. At the MECCA Challenge, I have the chance not only to become the first MECCA Champion, but to prove to all the critics who say that I can't cut it against top wrestlers from outside RCW. In the MECCA Challenge, there will be no rope breaks, foreign objects or interference, and the only way to win is by submission or knockout. This will ensure a clear cut winner. Whoever wins this is the better man. Punk, my game plan has never changed. I'll do what I have to for victory. If that involves stretching your body into ungodly positions, I'll do it. If it involves making you bleed until you pass out, I'll do it. If it involves breaking every bone in your body, I'll do it. May the best man win? He will, Punk. Believe me.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: We're back on Go Time, and the Sensation of Submission is on her way to the ring.

Dick: Gail Kim is certainly looking forward to the MECCA Challenge, as her fellow Dangerous Liaison member LuFisto is going for Lisa Letty's Ladies' Championship.

("Faint" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: Shadow actually lost to Gail Kim a few weeks ago here on Go Time, and may be looking for some payback right here tonight.

Dick: This will be an important match for them, as I'm sure both ladies are going to be looking for a title shot at the winner of Letty/LuFisto.

(FINISH: Shadow goes for the Interceptor, but Kim ducks and kicks her in the midsection. She whips Shadow into the corner and charges, but Shadow rolls her up with a sunset flip. Kim rolls through and tries to slingshot Shadow, but Shadow refuses to go, and drops across Gail's shoulders, hooking her legs for the three count.)

Winner: Shadow

David: That was a close one for both ladies, but Shadow picks up the victory here tonight.

Dick: She definitely has some momentum if she wants to challenge for a title match.

(Suddenly, Misery runs down the aisle and slides into the ring. She forearms Shadow from behind and then locks in the Friendship Bracelet. Shadow taps out as referee Rya Zay tries to make her let go.)

David: It's Misery! What's she doing down here?

Dick: I don't know, but she's taking it to Shadow.

(Misery finally releases Shadow, and Gail Kim comes over to shake her hand. Misery shakes her hand but then pulls her in and executes a Samoan Drop.)

David: Misery just flattened Gail Kim as well! What's with her, anyway?

Dick: I think she's whacked, David.

("My Friend of Misery" plays as Misery exits the ring, shaking with rage.)

David: Misery is upset because she hasn't made any friends in this company, but it's no wonder.

Dick: No doubt she wants the Ladies' Title as well, and what better way to say that than lay out two of the top contenders?

David: Ask for a title shot, maybe? Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be right back with the US vs. Japan in the International Invitational!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Blue Blast - Winning the Rainbow" hits and Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for the International Invitational, which is about to come to its conclusion at the MECCA Challenge. The winners of this match will face the Pyro Twins next week, for the right to go to the MECCA Challenge to take on the UK Wrecking Crew.

Dick: And Takemura and Sakota have surprised everyone with how well they've fared so far. They've actually gotten farther than their Japanese counterparts, Kaientai Deluxe.

("Can't Stop" hits and Reckless Abandon make their way to the ring.)

David: Delirious and Spanky are ready for this match. They haven't lost since the first round against the Pyro Twins.

Dick: But if they get past Takemura and Sakota, next week they'll go against the very men who put them in the lower brackets. Will history repeat itself? I would have to say yes.

(FINISH: Spanky charges Takemura in the corner, but Takemura backdrops him over the top rope. Spanky lands on the apron and Takemura grabs his hair, going to the outside with him. He runs him to the corner to ram his head into the post, but Spanky counters with Sliced Bread #2 on the ring apron. Meanwhile, Sakota sets up Delirious for the Roaring Elbow, but Delirious blocks it and counters into the Chemical Imbalance #2, getting the three count.)

Winners: Reckless Abandon

David: Reckless Abandon pick up the victory over Takemura and Sakota, who are now done in this tournament.

Dick: They surprised a few people with their performance, but the fact remains that Japan is now out of the running for the World Cup and the MECCA Tag Team Titles.

David: We know it's now down to the US and the UK, but who will go against Fletcher and Nathans? Spanky and Delirious, or Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble, the Pyro Twins? When we come back, we're going to hear from Cynric.

(Backstage, the Pyro Twins are watching Delirious and Spanky celebrate on the monitor. They're both smiling.)

Dusty: What did I tell you? No one in the lower brackets is a match for us, because look who won. The very people we beat in the first round.

Jay: It's practically assured that we're going against those annoying limey bastards at the MECCA Challenge.

(The UK Wrecking Crew walks into the room.)

Nathans: Well, if it isn't the team that we so ruthlessly beat in the finals of the upper brackets. What was it, Jay Rowe, right? Dusty Schnebbel?

Fletcher: No, I think it's the Flame Retarded Twins or something. You know, it's too bad that even if you two win next week, your buddy Punk has such a leash on you that you won't even be able to concentrate on us at the MECCA Challenge. You'll be too busy fighting the battles of that punk kid brother...

Jay: Watch it, Fletcher. You don't want to go there. Not now, and not with us.

Nathans: We're so scared. The mighty Pyro Twins, playing second fiddle to some rookie and his crazy mentor are threatening us. Look, we just came to wish you luck next week. Not that we care which American team we face. You're all the same to us.

Dusty: Yeah, well next week you'll see the difference between us and guys like Reckless Abandon firsthand. So you better be watching real close, because when we get another shot at you, you'll get exactly the same, and then some.

Fletcher: Yeah, we'll be watching real close. Trust us on that.

(The UK Wrecking Crew leave. Dusty starts to go after him, but Jay holds him back.)

Jay: Remember what Punk said. Not until we finish our task.

(Commercial Break)

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with LuFisto.)

Bill: LuFisto, Lisa Letty has accepted your challenge, and at the MECCA Challenge on April 30, you get your shot at the Ladies' Title in a hardcore match. Now, a couple of weeks ago, Lisa attacked Misery with a chair that had your name painted on it. What's the message being sent there?

LuFisto: The message being sent there is that Lisa obviously has no idea about how to prepare for a hardcore match. You think a little chairshot is going to impress me, Little Lisa? You think my name on a chair is going to intimidate me? I've been hit with garbage cans bigger than your entire body. I am LuFisto, the First Lady of Hardcore. You are merely a student of mine, Lisa... and on April 30, I take you to school once again. This will be a lesson you can't learn in any wrestling school, and that lesson is how to recover after your first major loss. That belt is coming with me.

(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: We know that Cynric had something in mind tonight for the main event, but neither he nor Katie Piehl are talking. Maybe now we'll find out what's up.

Dick: I know Cynric's been frustrated that he can't get his hands on Eddie Crowe without the Pyro Twins beating him up. Here's a hint, Cynric: just let it go!

(Cynric gets a mic.)

Cynric: Hello, Chicago Ridge! You know, for the past few weeks, ever since Eddie cost me that win in the six-man tag, I have wanted to exact revenge in the worst possible way. Eddie, I don't know where your head is at, but regardless of whether you allied yourself with SELF or not, one thing you should realize is that it's not a smart move to piss me off! Eddie, I was going to challenge you to a match at the MECCA Challenge, but I realize what will happen. As soon as it looks like you're in trouble, you'll have Jay and Dusty jump me, and the fans will be deprived of a great contest. Well, since I do aim to wrestle at the MECCA Challenge, I want you to go ahead and bring Jay and Dusty along. Yeah, I know if they win their match with Reckless Abandon next week, they'll be facing the UK Wrecking Crew, but after that match is over, feel free to come on down and make this a six-man tag. I want a chance at redeeming myself, and I will be happy to pin Eddie's limp, unconscious body to the mat this time.

David: Cynric just made a challenge for a six-man tag at the MECCA Challenge!

Dick: But what about partners? His brother Ronin Fox already has a match, as does Nykk, his other partner from a few weeks ago.

Cynric: Oh, and I almost forgot! Certainly, I said six-man tag, and not three-on-one handicap match. I suppose everyone would like to know who's agreed to be my partners. Well, they're actually here tonight, and earlier on, I asked Katie Piehl to set up a special six-man main event. On one side of the ring, it will be the team of Low Ki and the UK Wrecking Crew. On the other side, it will be myself, and...

(He points to the back as "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: Kevin Stone!? Kevin Stone is here in MECCA!

Dick: He's a regular partner of Cynric's over in RCW, and now he's come to his friend's aid. But who is the other partner?

(When Kevin gets to the ring, he high fives Cynric. "Red Remix" by Toxic hits and the Amazing Red makes his way to the ring.)

David: Holy crap, it's the Amazing Red! What a find to team up with Cynric and Kevin Stone!

Dick: Red is a revolutionary high-flyer in this business, and has competed in ROH and TNA, as well as many other great independent organizations throughout his career.

David: And apparently, we'll get a taste of what these three can do right here tonight. Up next, Cynric, Kevin Stone and the Amazing Red will take on Low Ki and the UK Wrecking Crew!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Fighter's Passion" is playing, and Low Ki is making his way to the ring.)

David: Here comes Low Ki, and we found out before the break that Cynric has challenged Eddie Crowe and the Pyro Twins to a six-man tag at the MECCA Challenge, regardless of whether Jay and Dusty win or lose against Reckless Abandon next week.

Dick: And his partners will be none other than Kevin Stone and the Amazing Red!

("Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: Speaking of the Pyro Twins, the UK Wrecking Crew will face either them or Reckless Abandon at the MECCA Challenge for the International Invitational World Cup and the MECCA Tag Team Championship. They beat Jay and Dusty in the finals of the upper brackets, and they've been throwing it in the Pyro Twins' faces ever since.

Dick: They're two brash and cocky youngsters, who could very well be the first MECCA Tag Team Champions. How well would that sit with the Pyro Twins?

(FINISH: After a brawl erupts, Fletcher is clotheslined out of the ring by Stone, and is then taken out by a corkscrew plancha from Red. Kevin lifts Low Ki in a military press into a powerslam, and then he and Cynric give Nathans a double flapjack into the top turnbuckle, followed by the Lift Off from Cynric. Low Ki gets up and starts kicking the hell out of both Cynric and Kevin, and then kicks Red in the face when he tries to springboard back in, causing him to fly into the guardrail. He hits a twisting phoenix splash on Stone, and then picks up Cynric as referee David Bowers tries to get Kevin to exit the ring. Suddenly, Ronin Fox runs down and slides into the ring. As Low Ki lifts Cynric for a Ki Krusher, Fox clips Low Ki's knee, causing Cynric to fall on top of him. Cynric hooks the leg as Bowers turns around and makes the three count.)

Winners: Cynric, Kevin Stone and the Amazing Red

David: The Cynric/Stone/Red team managed to pull one off!

Dick: Yeah, thanks to Fox! What's he doing out here?

(Low Ki tries to get at Fox, but Fox beats him back, knocking him out of the ring and then giving him a baseball slide. Nathans and Fletcher hold Ki back as Fox gets a mic.)

Fox: You know what, Low Ki? You should know by now that if you challenge me, I'll always accept it. You're right. The war is just beginning between you and me, and if you want to take me on at the MECCA Challenge, then I say let's do this thing! I'll see you on April 30. We'll meet up.... um.... let's say, right here in this ring!

David: There you have it. Fox accepts the challenge of Low Ki for a match at the MECCA Challenge on April 30.

Dick: It should be a classic if their last meeting was any indication.

David: That's all the time we have this week, though. Please join us once again next week for Go Time, fans!
