Go Time: 3/22/05

Lansing, MI

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome, everyone, to MECCA Go Time! We're bringing you our brand of hard-hitting wrestling action tonight from the Wharton Center in Lansing, Michigan! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and have we got a main event tonight. We're debuting a new type of match called Four Corner Chaos, and its guinea pigs will be Ronin Fox, Low Ki, C.M. Punk and Cynric!

Dick: That should be fantastic, David, but that's not all. The finals of the upper brackets of the International Invitational are tonight. The Pyro Twins take on the UK Wrecking Crew, and the winners go to the MECCA Challenge to face the winners of the lower brackets.

("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring.)

David: What's this? C.M. Punk isn't supposed to come out until the main event.

Dick: I guess he's got something to say, maybe about his and Nykk's behavior at the contract signing last week.

(Punk gets a mic.)

Punk: By now, all of you know what went down at Melee. The Round Robin is down to just two men... myself and Nykk. And now it's official that Nykk and I will meet in the MECCA Challenge on April 30 to determine the first MECCA Champion. Nykk, don't get me wrong. I have all the respect in the world for your ability inside this ring. If circumstances had been different, we might even have been friends. But you must understand that my goal is to go beyond being the champion of this regional organization. It's to go beyond being the franchise player, beyond even being a fifty-fifty owner... my goal is to ascend to the top of this sport, not just to play a god, but to be a god. You condemn me for what I've supposedly done to Eddie Crowe, but take one look at him and tell me he's not better off now that he's stopped drinking and has benefited from my tutelage. He hasn't been beaten yet! And the Pyro Twins... they also condemn me, yet they still follow me, and will as long as I require them. For Tent Acid, you'll get to see firsthand how my influence can affect someone's life. But you, Nykk, you blame me for causing this rift between you and your friends. Had you been accepting of what I am doing, this rift would not exist, and for that, you have only yourself to blame. On April 30, I take back the pride I lost on January 11, when you pinned me in the middle of this ring. In about five weeks, you will find out that straight edge not only means that I'm better than you, but that I'll always be better than you! At the MECCA Challenge, I will be the driver in your ride to madness, and no force in this world is going to stop me.

("Miseria Cantare" plays again and C.M. Punk gives the crowd his X pose.)

David: Powerful words from C.M. Punk, but before he gets to the MECCA Challenge, he'll have to contend with Four Corner Chaos right here tonight.

Dick: He could definitely use some momentum, and now's his chance since Nykk will be working in Japan for the next two weeks.

David: When we come back, the ladies of MECCA will be here!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Faint" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and Shadow is right here in Lansing! We haven't seen her here in MECCA for a while now, but she looks excited to be back.

Dick: As we know from Shadow's exploits in RCW, she'll give you a fight any night of the week.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring, along with LuFisto.)

David: Here comes the Dangerous Liaison, and it will be the Sensation of Submission who is taking on Shadow.

Dick: LuFisto, however, is here on business. Last week, she challenged Lisa Letty to a rematch for the Ladies' Title at the MECCA Challenge in a hardcore match, her specialty.

David: We don't know Lisa's answer yet, but she's proven to be a fighting champion so far, though we haven't seen her in any type of no holds barred situation.

(FINISH: Shadow goes for the Interceptor, but Gail takes her over with a judo throw and locks in an arm scissors. Shadow fights it, and manages to kick Gail in the head to get her to release the hold. They get to their feet and Shadow lifts Gail in a fireman's carry, then drops her head down onto her knee. Shadow goes up top for the top rope Interceptor, but LuFisto shakes the ropes and crotches her on the top turnbuckle. Gail drags Shadow out from the turnbuckle horizontally and DDTs her to the mat. She covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Gail Kim

David: Shadow looked like she had the match won, but LuFisto interfered once again!

Dick: The advantage of being in the Dangerous Liaison. You always have someone to watch your back.

(LuFisto gets a chair as Gail celebrates. She brings the chair in the ring and sets it up in the middle. She motions for Gail to get Shadow up. They whip her into the ropes and give her a double flapjack onto the chair.)

David: What's going on here? There's no reason for this!

Dick: Yes, there is. LuFisto is sending a message to Lisa Letty.

(Gail retrieves a kendo stick from under the ring and hands it to LuFisto, who cracks Shadow over the head with it. She gets a mic.)

LuFisto: Lisa, I want you out here right now! You're going to accept my challenge, or I'll do this to every one of your friends!

(She hits Shadow repeatedly across the back until Lisa runs out and slides into the ring. Gail charges her, but Lisa sends her down with a back elbow. LuFisto tries to hit her with the kendo stick, but Lisa catches it with her left hand and pulls LuFisto in, hitting her with a clothesline. LuFisto slides out of the ring as Gail grabs the chair. She throws it at Lisa, who catches it. Gail tries to spin kick the chair into her face, but Lisa ducks and then launches the chair into Gail's face. Kim goes down, and LuFisto drags her out of the ring. Lisa gets the mic.)

Lisa: You two have been dogging my steps for two and a half months now. LuFisto, if giving you another title shot will shut you up, then that's exactly what I'm going to have to do! And as far as the hardcore stipulation goes... (she picks up the kendo stick and twirls it twice) I think I'm game.

("Edge of Seventeen" hits as Lisa helps up Shadow.)

David: Lisa Letty just accepted LuFisto's challenge, and we have a Ladies' Title Match for the MECCA Challenge!

Dick: And it will truly be a challenge for Lisa, going up against the First Lady of Hardcore in her own element.

David: And speaking of the MECCA Challenge, up next we'll determine one half of the tag title match. It's the US vs. the UK, the Pyro Twins vs. The UK Wrecking Crew in the International Invitational next!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, carrying British flags.)

David: The International Invitational continues with the finals of the upper brackets. Neither the UK Wrecking Crew or the Pyro Twins have lost yet, but that's about to change.

Dick: This should be an interesting match. The UK Wrecking Crew have demonstrated that they're just as good with the tandem offense as the Pyro Twins. They seem to want to take Jay and Dusty's spot as the tag team kings of the indy scene.

(Andy Nathans gets a mic.)

Nathans: Hey, Pyro Twins! What you're about to realize is that there are new kings of tag team wrestling on the rise. While we may not have the credentials to claim that title yet, at least we don't fall under someone else's control. We pave our own path, and we answer to no one. So when you...

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring, in their "Red, White and Flames" t-shirts.)

David: The Pyro Twins have heard enough of the Wrecking Crew running their mouths, and we're off to the races!

(Jay and Dusty dive into the ring and attack Nathans and Fletcher as the bell rings.)

(FINISH: Dusty and Fletcher get the hot tags. Dusty clotheslines Fletcher and whips him into the ropes, hitting a flapjack. Nathans comes back in and gets a back body drop. Dusty whips Fletcher into the corner, and then whips Nathans into him. Nathans staggers out and gets a uranage suplex. Dusty goes for the Rope Burn, but Fletcher attacks from behind. They whip Dusty into the ropes and put their heads down. Dusty kicks Fletcher in the face and tries a clothesline on Nathans. Nathans ducks, but Dusty immediately clotheslines him from behind. Nathans staggers into a spinning heel kick from Jay. They then whip Fletcher front first into the corner. They set up for Final Darkness, but Nathans trips Fletcher and pulls him out of the ring. The Pyro Twins chase them around the ring. All four men get back in the ring and Nathans turns, giving Jay a spinebuster as Fletcher gives Dusty a drop toehold into the second turnbuckle. Nathans pulls Jay up by the arms and hangs him horizontally for Fletcher to bounce off the ropes and execute the Crane Swing. They put Dusty on the top rope and both go up top for a double back superplex. Dusty manages to fight back with elbows, and sends Fletcher to the canvas. He brings Nathans around and goes for a superplex, but Nathans counters into a DDT. He covers, but Jay breaks up the pin at a very close two count. He fires back with right hands on both guys, and ducks a right from Nathans. He goes for the Overhaul, but Fletcher kicks him, allowing Nathans to escape. They drape him stomach first across the top rope and Fletcher bounces off the ropes. With Jay still balanced across the rope, Nathans kicks his feet up into Jay's face at the same time Fletcher hits a rolling kick to the back of Jay's head. Jay falls out of the ring. Dusty staggers to his feet and comes over, but Fletcher dropkicks him in the knee to send him down. They execute the Wrecking Ball, and Fletcher covers for the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

David: I don't believe it! The UK Wrecking Crew just beat the Pyro Twins clean!

Dick: They did exactly what they said they were going to do. The UK Wrecking Crew is going to the MECCA Challenge to wrestle for the tag titles!

David: This is major news, as the Pyro Twins looked to have their wind back after a rocky start in MECCA.

Dick: But they can still go to the MECCA Challenge and face the UK Wrecking Crew again if they win the finals of the lower brackets.

(The UK Wrecking Crew celebrates at ringside as the Pyro Twins wake up, looking disappointed.)

(Backstage, Huh and Cheesecake are standing around with Delirious.)

Huh: All right, Delirious, you got Trent Acid up next. You've got to show him what being an Eccentric is all about.

Delirious: Ah fab ahnas arara?

Cheesecake: Exactly, lizard man. Go out and show him that TH'ELF is no longer the only faction here in MECCA!

Delirious: Bah! Bah! Bah!

(He walks away.)

Huh: Huh?

Cheesecake: No, really, Huh, I can see it now: an Eccentric Alliance!

Huh: Hey, yeah. This is going to be fun!

Cheesecake: Think about it. If we can get our revenge on David Caldwell and KDX, and Reckless Abandon win the tag team titles, the MECCA Challenge is going to be a gay old time indeed!

(He walks away and Huh looks at him strange.)

Huh: MECCA Challenge? What's that?

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring, coming out through the curtain for once and wearing actual wrestling attire.)

David: What's this? Trent Acid actually looks ready to wrestle.

Dick: Now do you see? The influence of C.M. Punk and SELF works wonders. Acid hasn't looked this clean in months.

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: He's tweakin' out!

Dick: Delirious is going to be busy in the coming weeks, as he and Spanky continue to try and dig themselves out of the hole of the lower brackets of the International Invitational and earn the right to face the UK Wrecking Crew at the MECCA Challenge. I wonder if it's wise for him to take this singles match?

David: And what's this "Eccentric Alliance" that Cheesecake was talking about? Is there going to be a new force here in MECCA?

Dick: God, I hope not.

(FINISH: Delirious goes for the Chemical Imbalance #2, but Acid flips to his feet and superkicks Delirious. He then removes the top turnbuckle pad as the ref checks on Delirious. He picks Delirious up and whips him into the ropes. He goes for the Acid Bomb, but Delirious counters with a dropkick. Acid backs up into the unprotected corner, and Delirious charges and goes for a Stinger Splash. Trent moves, and Delirious hits his head on the metal ring. Acid hits the Yakuza Kick and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Trent Acid

David: Acid picks up a victory right here on Go Time. Dastardly!

Dick: Are you going to say that every time someone bends the rules?

David: It's my new thing. You like it?

Dick: No. Anyway, Acid demolishes Delirious, and that was pretty smart for a guy who's been trying to scrape together a string of wins for months now.

David: Maybe SELF is leading Acid back to the right track.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Ronin Fox.)

Bill: Fox, tonight is Four Corner Chaos, and I'm sort of in the dark about the rules of this match. How is it going to work?

Fox: Well, Bill, the basic concept is that it's a four corner match, every man for himself, one fall to a finish. However, unlike in most of these matches, when someone is tagged in, he and the man who tagged him have a five count to perform a double team maneuver on the opponent. If they fail to do so, the tag doesn't count and the man in the ring remains legal.

Bill: A unique concept, to say the least. Even though it's every man for himself, I'm told that you've actually singled out Low Ki in this match. Is that true?

Fox: (laughs) That's true. You see, Low Ki, a few weeks ago, you effectively ended my chances at winning the Round Robin and the MECCA Championship. I commend you for beating me clean, like a man, but to say that I'm a little bit peeved would be an understatement. I wanted that title more than anything in life, and you've taken it away from me. Winning the match tonight is my number one objective, but if I get the opportunity, Low Ki, I'm going to get that win back and prove to the board of directors that I'm worthy of a future title shot against Punk or Nykk. Tonight, the Fox picks up the scent once again!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Miseria Cantare" is playing and C.M. Punk is entering the ring.)

David: We're back here on Go Time, and getting ready for Four Corner Chaos. We found out the rules thanks to Ronin Fox before the break. Apparently, tags must be made, but if a double team move is not executed within a five count, the tag doesn't count and the man in the ring remains legal.

Dick: It's a new type of match. Let's see how this little experiment goes.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric has got to be looking to get his hands on Punk after last week's six-man, but what he really wants to do is tear the head off of Eddie Crowe, who cost him the pin in that match. I don't think it's any coincidence that Eddie is nowhere to be seen this week.

Dick: I don't know why everyone wants to pick on poor Eddie. He is going to have to show back up to work eventually, though.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: Low Ki is pissed off after being beaten by Punk at Melee, and shutting him out of the Round Robin. However, he's also become the target of Ronin Fox, so this should be an interesting match for him.

Dick: He may be out of the Round Robin, but he's still perhaps the most dangerous member of the roster. Fox better know what he's doing.

("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

David: Fox will be in the ring with Low Ki, but he'll also be in the ring with his own brother in this every man for himself environment.

Dick: We'll see if they co-exist or if they get into the spirit of the match.

(The bell rings, and Low Ki starts off by shoving Punk to the mat as Fox and Cynric take opposite corners. Punk gets to his feet and slaps Low Ki, who takes him down and starts hitting him with right hands. The ref pulls the two apart, and Punk manages to sweep Ki's leg, covering for a one count. Ki sweeps Punk's leg with his own feet, taking Punk down. He goes for a somersault senton, but Punk moves. Ki ducks a clothesline, but Punk hits him with a back elbow. He whips Ki into the ropes, but Ki counters with an armwringer and pulls Punk right into a rolling koppo kick. Punk rolls to his feet and Ki lays in kicks to his midsection. Punk tries a clothesline, but Ki ducks and hooks Punk, executing an upside down fireman's carry takeover. He grabs Punk's hair and tries for the Kawada Kicks, but Punk catches his foot and gets to his feet. Ki hits him with a somersault enzugiri. He goes for the Tidal Wave, but Punk counters with a dropkick. He bounces off the ropes and smashes into Low Ki's face with his knee. He tags out to Cynric, who gets in the ring. They share a brief look and then whip Low Ki into the ropes, hitting a double back elbow. Cynric then blasts Punk with a roundhouse kick before turning to Low Ki. Punk tries to get at him, but the ref makes him get in the corner. Cynric gives Low Ki a hiptoss and then a spinning crescent kick. Ki tries a superkick, but Cynric catches his foot. He throws the foot away, but Low Ki goes for a dragon whip, segueing into a hurricanrana. Ki gets to his feet and Punk tags himself back in. Low Ki is angry, but Punk tells him to charge Cynric for a double shoulderblock. They charge him, but Low Ki stops short, allowing Cynric to give Punk a drop toehold. The five count passes, and the ref makes Punk get out of the ring. Ki goes for a vertical suplex on Cynric, but he escapes and runs him to the ropes. They bounce off and Cynric gets a roll up for a one count. Ki pushes him off into the ropes and then drops down. He tries a leapfrog on the rebound, but Cynric stops short. Low Ki lands on his feet, and Cynric hits a standing enzugiri. Cynric tags Fox, and they whip Ki into the ropes, hitting a double sidewalk slam. Fox covers and gets a two count. He grabs Low Ki in a front facelock and gives him some knees to the face. They get to their feet and Fox applies a double underhook, rolling backwards into a butterfly lock. He wraps his legs around Low Ki's body while keeping the hold applied. Ki manages to roll forward and put Fox's shoulders to the mat for a one count before Fox rolls to the side, never letting go of the hold. Ki struggles to get to his feet, taking Fox with him. He finally does so and runs to the corner, but Fox releases the hold and rolls away, sending Low Ki into the turnbuckles. Fox rolls him up and gets a two count. Ki rolls to his feet and hits Fox with a belly to belly suplex. Ki tags Cynric in, but Cynric doesn't want to do a double team on his brother. Ki suddenly kicks Cynric in the stomach and forces him to an all fours position. He bounces off the ropes and launches off Cynric's back, hitting Fox with a spinning wheel kick. He leaves Cynric in the ring with Fox. They get to their feet and stare at each other. They both shrug and go to work on each other, exchanging right hands. Cynric whips Fox into the ropes and Fox slides between his legs. He goes for a tiger buster, but Cynric breaks his grip and goes for an inverted crescent kick. Fox ducks and hits a spinning heel kick, covering for a two count. He gives Cynric a fisherman's suplex and rolls through, going for another one. He lifts Cynric, but Cynric escapes and pushes Fox into the ropes, picking him up in a fireman's carry. He flips Fox over onto his knee for a backbreaker. He applies a sharpshooter, and Punk makes a blind tag to Cynric. Punk slingshots over the top rope to legdrop Fox, who is still in the sharpshooter. The ref tells Cynric to leave, and Cynric asks why. The ref notifies him that Punk tagged back in, and Cynric reluctantly leaves. Punk gives Fox Welcome to Chicago, and then goes over to Low Ki. He points at Fox and says, "Let's kill him!" He tags Low Ki and whips Fox into the ropes. Punk kicks him in the midsection to double him over, and Low Ki bounces off the ropes, hitting a somersault kick to send Fox down. Punk applies a Mexican Surfboard, but only raises Fox until he's vertical. Low Ki bounces off the ropes again and somersaults over Fox, hitting a neckbreaker. Low Ki poses as Punk gets out of the ring.)

David: It looks like Punk and Low Ki have come to an agreement and isolated Ronin Fox. We have to take our last commercial break. We'll be back!

(Commercial Break)

(In the ring, Punk is holding Fox's hand out just beyond Cynric's reach. He goes for a piledriver in front of Cynric, but Fox counters with a backdrop and makes the tag. However, Punk hits Cynric with a running knee immediately, sending him through the ropes. The five count expires and Punk drags Fox back to his corner. He stomps on him and goes for a vertical suplex, but Fox escapes and tags Low Ki. Low Ki gets in the ring, but snapmares Fox over and kicks him in the back. The five count expires, and Low Ki leaves the ring. Punk gives Fox a kneedrop onto the back and tags in Low Ki. They pick Fox up and give him a double vertical suplex. Low Ki ties him in an octopus variation the mat, but Fox fights out of it. Low Ki responds with some Kawada Kicks, nearly knocking Fox out. He picks him up for the Ki Krusher and runs to the corner, hitting the Krush Rush. As he runs to the opposite corner, Fox escapes and rolls up Low Ki for a two count. Low Ki pushes him off and gets to his feet. Fox hits the corner, and Low Ki immediately hits a running koppo kick. He drags Fox to his feet and nails the Ki Krusher. He covers, but Punk comes in with a kick to the head to break it up. Low Ki stares at Punk for a moment and then confronts him. They jaw for a few moments and then Punk apologizes. Ki tags him in, and they whip Fox into the ropes. Fox does a springboard moonsault off the ropes, catching them both with a Fox Fire on the way down. Fox crawls over to Cynric and makes the tag. He slingshots Cynric over the top rope to hit a double shoulder tackler on Punk and Low Ki. He sends them down with right hands, and then picks Punk up, whipping him into the ropes. He drops to one knee and elbows Punk to bend him over. He hits in the face with a back palm strike and then sweeps his legs, immediately getting up and hitting a somersault senton splash. Low Ki charges, but Cynric back kicks him in the midsection. Cynric lifts him for a scoop slam, but drops Low Ki over his knee instead. He goes to the top rope and hits an elbow smash, covering for a two count. Cynric sets up for the Lift Off, and hits it. He covers again, but this time Punk makes the save. He picks Cynric up, but Cynric bats his hand away and headbutts Punk, staggering him. Eddie Crowe runs down and distracts Cynric. Cynric sees him and goes out after him, but Fox holds him back. The ref calls a tag, and Fox gets in the ring. They give Low Ki a double superkick, and Cynric leaves to chase Eddie. Punk clotheslines Fox from behind and then goes outside the ring to go after Cynric. Low Ki is the first up and he whips Fox into the corner. He goes for the Tidal Crush, but Fox moves and Low Ki hits the turnbuckles. Fox goes for Around the World in 18 Seconds, but on the last corner clothesline, Low Ki gets his feet up. Meanwhile, outside the ring, Cynric sends Punk into the barricade. Eddie rolls into the ring as Fox ducks a clothesline from Low Ki only to turn him inside out with a spinning clothesline. Cynric chases Eddie, who rolls back out of the ring, and Fox stops Cynric, pointing to the roof. Cynric nods and props Low Ki up on his shoulders. Fox goes to the top rope and gives Low Ki the Tail End off Cynric's shoulders. Cynric is tripped and pulled out of the ring by Punk and rammed into the ring post as Fox covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Ronin Fox

David: Well, Four Corner Chaos sure lived up to its name! Ronin Fox just did what he set out to do, and that's beat Low Ki and get revenge for the Round Robin.

Dick: Yeah, but he needed his brother to put Low Ki down finally.

(Fox rolls out of the ring and his brother gives him a hug, raising his arm as Eddie helps Punk to the back.)

David: I have to wonder if Cynric would have broken up that pin if he was able to. The distraction by Eddie Crowe may have cost him the victory once again.

(In the ring, Low Ki begins to wake up and he stares malevolently at Fox.)

Dick: Look at Low Ki. It's amazing he's even awake this soon, but I don't think he'll find his feet for quite some time. It doesn't look like he plans to let Fox get away with this.

David: We're out of time, ladies and gentlemen. Be sure to tune in again next week. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills. Good night!
