("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to MECCA Go Time, ladies and gentlemen! On this night, the Ides of March, we're coming to you from Lansing, Michigan. I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli.
Dick: And the big news is that as of Melee, we have one match left in the Round Robin and it will determine the first MECCA Champion. C.M. Punk and Nykk are tied at 2-1, and tonight they'll sign the contract for their match.
David: And then later on, both men will return for a six-man main event. Punk will team with the Pyro Twins to take on Nykk, Cynric and Ronin Fox!
("Fell in Love with a Girl" hits and LuFisto and Gail Kim make their way to the ring.)
David: The Dangerous Liaison is still without the Ladies' Title in their possession. At Melee, Lisa Letty succeeded in defeating the Sensation of Submission, Gail Kim.
Dick: Neither one of them is very happy about that, but you know that the MECCA Challenge is coming up, and someone has to get a shot at Lisa. Who's it going to be?
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)
David: Kelly Schweickart certainly has a score to settle with the Dangerous Liaison. Last week, after Kelly upset Gail Kim, the Liaison put the boots to her until Lisa Letty made the save.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Here comes Kelly's partner, the Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty!
Dick: She's been proving her worth as champion in the title's short history, and now she gets to take on her main rivals on equal ground.
(Lisa and Kelly charge into the ring and start brawling with Kim and LuFisto.)
(FINISH: The tag match never settles down, as no one leaves the ring. They continue brawling as the ref tries to gain control. Kelly clotheslines Gail over the top and to the floor, but then gets dropkicked out beside her by LuFisto. Before she can get up, Lisa hits her with a baseball slide, sending her out. Lisa joins the others on the floor and referee Nikki Alvarado starts counting. When she reaches ten, she calls for the bell.)
Winners: Double Count-out
David: What the hell's with this? A double count-out?
Dick: Nobody likes a double count-out, and the fans are letting Alvarado know what they think of that decision.
David: Well, the ladies obviously weren't going to be very orderly, so she had to do something.
(The Dangerous Liaison and Kelly and Lisa regroup on opposite sides of the ring, protesting the premature end to the match. Finally, LuFisto grabs a mic and slides into the ring.)
LuFisto: Hey, Lisa... event though a double count-out isn't what we wanted, let's both you and I get what we really want. This has gone beyond the title for me now, and our feud is about one thing. Me finally beating you. I'm challenging you to one more title match, on April 30 at the MECCA Challenge! And since we need to make that name so apropos, I've got a little additional challenge for you. Why don't you defend the belt against me in a hardcore match? That means no disqualifications, no count-outs and anything goes. There's a reason I'm called the First Lady of Hardcore, and I think it's about time everyone found out!
("Fell in Love with a Girl" plays as LuFisto and Lisa stare at each other.)
David: A challenge has been issued for a hardcore match for the Ladies' Title at the MECCA Challenge, but we have to take a commercial break. We'll be right back!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the Pyro Twins.)
Bill: Jay, Dusty, next week is the finals of the upper brackets in the International Invitational. You two will be going up against Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, the UK Wrecking Crew. How do you see yourselves doing against these new upstarts?
Jay: I see us doing what we've always done, and that's beating the hell out of anyone that's put in front of us. There's a reason why we're the most dominant tag team on the indy scene. We show no mercy.
Dusty: It's simple, Bill. The UK Wrecking Crew may be impressive, but so were Reckless Abandon and KDX. We're burning through them and straight to the finals of the Invitational at the MECCA Challenge.
Bill: Later tonight, you will team with C.M. Punk against Nykk, Ronin Fox and Cynric. How do you think you will work with Punk as a unit?
Jay: Punk just better stay out of our way. We'll take care of Nykk, Fox and Cynric. Then the Pyro Twins are going to win it all and become the first MECCA Tag Team Champions, whether Punk wants it that way or not.
(In the arena, Katie Piehl is standing in the ring. A table has been set up with two chairs and pens, and she's holding a contract.)
Katie: Ladies and gentlemen, we are finally seeing the Round Robin draw to its conclusion, and getting closer to crowning the first MECCA Champion! As it went down at Melee, Nykk won over Bryan Danielson, and C.M. Punk beat Low Ki, making their records tied at 2-1. As their match is the only one left in the Round Robin, I've decided to do this thing right and hold off on that match until the MECCA Challenge, where it will be C.M. Punk vs. Nykk in a MECCA Challenge for the MECCA Championship! And at this time, I'm going to ask C.M. Punk to please come to the ring.
("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Punk not only beat Low Ki at Melee, but he also eliminated him from contention for the MECCA Title. He's been a favorite since our very first show, and he may very well be the first MECCA Champion.
Dick: Punk certainly thinks of himself as a champion, and he's wedged himself into one of the top spots in this company, with SELF to back him up.
Katie: And now, Nykk, I'm asking you to please come to the ring at this time.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: If you want an example of how vindictive Punk can be, look no further than our second show, where Nykk pinned him in the middle of the ring. Punk has been systematically taking Nykk apart ever since, to the point where it seems like Nykk has lost some of his desire to be such an ass.
Dick: As you can hear from the crowd, Nykk is actually being very well received. He's proving that he can be successful on his own, even though he wasn't really given a choice.
(Nykk and Punk stare at each other with hatred. They move to take a seat on opposite sides of the table, their eyes never leaving each other.)
Katie: Gentlemen, you've fought long and hard to make it to the end of this Round Robin, and now your match will determine who becomes the first MECCA Champion. On April 30, you will compete in a MECCA Challenge. The rules are in the contract, but I will say them out loud for the crowd's benefit. In the MECCA Challenge, outside interference of every kind is prohibited. Foreign objects are also prohibited. There are no rope breaks. Closed fists are legal, as are chokeholds. There are no pinfalls or count-outs. There are only two ways to win. One is to make your opponent submit. The other is to knock him out so that he is unable to answer a ten count. At this time, Punk, I need you to sign the contract.
(Punk takes a pin and signs the contract.)
Katie: Now, I'll ask you to pass it over to Nykk so that I can get his signature.
(Punk takes the clipboard and throws it at Nykk, hitting him in the face. Nykk carefully reaches down and retrieves it from the mat, keeping his eyes on Punk. He signs the contract, and Katie takes it from him.)
Katie: It's official, ladies and gentlemen. April 30... the main event of the MECCA Challenge... Nykk vs. C.M. Punk for the MECCA Championship!
(Nykk takes the mic from her.)
Nykk: Now, hold on a minute. We're not getting out of here that easy, Punk. Every time I'm in the same room as you, I want to reach into your chest and tear your heart out, but until now, I've had three other top wrestlers to deal with and prepare for. But now, you're all mine. Why don't we give these fans a little preview of the MECCA Challenge?
(Punk gets up and upends the table. He and Nykk jaw at each other for a few moments, and Katie tries to get between them. Punk shoves her away, and Nykk whips Punk around, slapping the taste out of his mouth. They lunge for each other, but security gets in between them and holds them back.)
David: Here we go! It's on, now! Punk and Nykk don't want to wait for April 30!
Dick: It looks like Ms. Piehl is going to have a hard time protecting her main event.
David: We're going to take a break while order is restored. Stay tuned!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, David Caldwell is walking down a hallway when Huh steps out in front of him.)
Huh: Hey, David!
Caldwell: What the hell do you want?
Huh: Where's KDX? They're not here tonight, are they? We're going to have so much fun!
(Caldwell tries to run in the other direction, but Cheesecake comes around the corner and catches him by the collar.)
Cheesecake: Where are you running to, Davey? I thought you wanted to de'th'troy us! We're right here, but your buddie'th are nowhere to be found. Thi'th is a perfect opportunity to...
Caldwell: No, please! Please don't...
Huh: We're not going to hurt you. We just want you to tell Kaientai Deluxe that even though they may have beaten us in the International Invitational, this isn't over.
Cheesecake: And definitely do th'omething about your wardrobe. Wear th'ome pant'th that don't have a big dark th'pot in the middle. See ya later.
(The Eccentrics walk away, and David tries to cover up the fact that he just pissed himself.)
(In the ring, "Voices" hits and Psychosis makes his way to the ring.)
David: It looks like Caldwell isn't so tough when he doesn't have KDX with him.
Dick: What's the point on intimidating the poor man like that? He's not a wrestler.
David: Did you forget that it was David Caldwell who declared war on the Eccentrics on our very first show? Anyway, we're continuing with the action here on Go Time. Psychosis is one half of Fugitivos Locos, and they have an International Invitational match coming up soon with Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota.
Dick: Takemura and Sakota fell to that spot by losing to the UK Wrecking Crew at Melee, and time will tell if Mexico or Japan gets a second chance at the Invitational World Cup and the tag titles.
("The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Here comes the protg of C.M. Punk, Eddie Crowe. He seems to be the impetus of the entire Nykk-Punk rivalry, as it was because of him that the Pyro Twins turned on their friend.
Dick: His brother Jay seems to feel that Punk has an ill influence over him, and could destroy him after he's used him to accomplish his own means, but I don't see what all the concern is about. People take on flunkies and protgs all the time in wrestling.
David: But they don't do so with the express purpose of gaining control over an entire faction.
(FINISH: Psychosis goes for a guillotine legdrop, but Eddie moves. He dropkicks Psychosis in the knee to send him down and maneuvers behind him. He applies the Crowe's Nest, and Psychosis taps out.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: Eddie Crowe is victorious once again, in what definitely could be considered an upset, given Psychosis's years of experience.
Dick: This kid is going places, and it's C.M. Punk that got him in the door.
David: We'll see C.M. Punk once again after the break, and he'll be in action this time. He teams with the Pyro Twins to take on Nykk, Ronin Fox and Cynric, and that match is next!
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: Andy Nathans, Jack Fletcher, you came into MECCA about a month ago as unknowns, but now all the buzz in the tag division is directed at you. You beat Fugitivos Locos, and at Melee you were victorious once again against Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota. But next week, you have a true test in front of you as you attempt to win the upper brackets of the International Invitational. You will be facing perhaps one of the most ruthless teams in wrestling, the Pyro Twins.
Nathans: That's right. The Pyro Twins are one of the most ruthless teams in wrestling, but as the saying goes... you ain't seen nothing yet. With all the talent that Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble possess, I can tell you with confidence that we are better. We will defeat the Pyro Twins and shock MECCA once again, and from there, we're sitting pretty until the MECCA Challenge when we face the best of the losers' brackets.
Fletcher: Time is running out, Pyro Twins. We've both been untouchable in the International Invitational so far, but after next week, no longer. Everyone says that we can't possibly beat the invincible Pyro Twins. We beg to differ. Next week, the fire goes out and the UK Wrecking Crew is set to demolish.
(In the arena, "Miseria Cantare" is playing and C.M. Punk and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: SELF, the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation, is on their way to the ring. Punk and Nykk almost went at it earlier during the contract signing, but security was able to pull them apart before they got at each other.
Dick: This feud is really starting to heat up now that they're the only two left in the Round Robin.
("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox, Cynric and Nykk make their way to the ring.)
David: Well, hopefully this team will work out better than the last time Nykk and Fox were together in a tandem.
Dick: Which is to say, it didn't work at all, so at least it can't work any worse.
David: There seems to be a wary sort of respect between Nykk and Cynric, after they were able to beat the Pyro Twins last week, but who knows how Fox feels about being forced to team with his longtime rival this week.
(FINISH: Cynric and Dusty get the hot tags. They charge each other and Cynric spins and takes Dusty down with a sweep. He sends Dusty down with a back elbow and then hits a rolling koppo kick. Jay comes in for a clothesline, but Cynric ducks it and sends Jay down with a spinning crescent kick. He gives Dusty a snap suplex and goes to the top rope, hitting an elbow smash. He sets up for the Lift Off, but Punk grabs his ankle from the outside. Cynric turns his attention to Punk as Dusty comes up from behind, but Cynric kicks back into Dusty's midsection. He gives Dusty the Shock Cannon and covers, but Jay breaks up the pin. Nykk comes in and sends Jay down with a running back elbow, and pretty soon everyone's in the ring brawling. Nykk plants Dusty with a roling Samoan Drop, and then goes to the top rope. Meanwhile, Fox clotheslines Jay over the top rope. He sees Dusty down and makes the cover, and Nykk hesitates on the top rope. However, Jay pushes Nykk off and Nykk accidentally splashes Fox to break up the pin. Fox gets up, holding his back and gets in Nykk's face. Nykk tries to explain himself, but Fox shoves Nykk and referee Keith Young gets between them. Meanwhile, Cynric gives Punk the Lift Off and superkicks Jay off the ring apron, sending him into the guardrail. Cynric sets up for a Lift Off on Dusty, but Eddie Crowe runs in with a chair. He clocks Cynric in the back of the head with it and rolls out of the ring. Cynric staggers forward and Dusty scoops him up, running to the ropes to hit the Rope Burn. He covers, and the ref turns around to make the three count.)
Winners: SELF
David: SELF picks up the victory in our main event here on Go Time, thanks to some miscommunication by Nykk and Fox, and a chairshot from Eddie Crowe.
Dick: SELF was smart, and used Nykk and Fox's dislike for each other to their advantage. They're starting to really mesh as a stable.
(SELF backs up the ramp triumphantly, but Cynric sits up, holding his head. He is staring malevolently at Eddie.)
David: Cynric did not appreciate that chair to the head one bit, and I have to think if he can catch Eddie somewhere by himself, we'll be seeing Eddie Crowe taking a ride to the hospital. We're out of time, folks. Thank you for joining us, and we'll see you next week.
