(Backstage, Nykk is walking, looking angry. He finds the locker room door and shoves it open, going inside to see SELF sitting around talking. Upon seeing Nykk, they get up.)
Nykk: Whoa, guys, I'm not here to fight just now. I want to do my talking in the ring. Jay, Dusty, last week you two jumped me once again and I want a piece of you right here tonight.
Jay: First of all, we only jumped you because you were hurting Eddie...
Nykk: So what, your brother is so frail now that he can't fight his own battles? He's the reason you two are in this mess in the first place. But if you two aren't going to do anything about it, than it's time to put up!
Punk: You had your chance against the Pyro Twins a few weeks ago, Nykk, and you lost. You better be preparing for this Saturday, when you face Bryan Danielson, the guy that I beat one month ago. In case you're wondering why you and I haven't been in the ring yet...
Nykk: Yeah, why exactly is that, Punk?
Punk: I specifically requested that we be saved for last. I'm not going to get any satisfaction out of winning the MECCA Championship by beating the others. It's you I want to beat, and after I finish off Low Ki this Saturday, you better hold up your end and smoke Danielson. As for tonight, you can have Jay and Dusty in the ring, but you don't have a partner. No one in this organization likes you, Nykk, even if you are one of the owners. No one is going to want to be your partner.
Nykk: Last time I faced Jay and Dusty, I was stupid. I figured I didn't need a partner... but tonight... you two are on. Don't worry; I'll get a partner somehow.
(He leaves the room as Punk and Eddie scoff.)
("Neocon" opening.)
David: Welcome to Go Time, ladies and gentlemen! We're once again in Indianapolis, Indiana, and what a main event set for tonight. Will Nykk find a partner to help him take on the Pyro Twins or will we have a rematch of the handicap match one month ago? I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli.
Dick: In addition to that, two men who will face each other this Saturday at Melee will team. Ronin Fox and Bryan Danielson will go up against Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid, representing the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation!
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)
David: But we're kicking things off with the ladies. Here comes spunky newcomer Kelly Schweickart, who held her own last week against the more experienced LuFisto.
Dick: She looks excited to be here, but she may not feel that way once her opponent comes down.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring, along with LuFisto.)
David: "The Sensation of Submission" Gail Kim is as dangerous as they come, and she's accompanied by another dangerous woman, "The First Lady of Hardcore" LuFisto.
Dick: They call themselves the Dangerous Liaison, and that's exactly what this is. I think Kelly doesn't stand a chance tonight.
David: In four days at Melee, Kim will go up against Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty for the title, and I'd have to consider her the favorite.
(FINISH: Kim manages to lock on the Christo, but she showboats to LuFisto a little too much, and Kelly runs to the corner and rams Kim into the turnbuckles. Kelly makes a comeback, hitting a tilt-a-whirl headscissors and a clothesline. She lifts Kim for a back suplex, but instead slams her face first into the mat. She goes up top and hits the Kelly Cyclone, and covers. However, LuFisto pulls referee Rya Zay out of the ring. As Zay argues with LuFisto, Kelly runs over and baseball slides into LuFisto, who goes into the ref. Kim attacks from behind with a forearm as LuFisto gets a chair. She gets on the apron and tells Kim to ram Kelly into the chair. Gail tries, but Kelly puts on the brakes and pushes her off into the chair, the impact knocking LuFisto off the apron. As the ref gets back in the ring, Kelly folds up Gail with a hardway suplex, bridging for the three count.)
Winner: Kelly Schweickart
David: I can't believe it! Kelly just got her first win here in MECCA, and it's over the number one contender to the Ladies' Title!
Dick: But she needed a chair to do it! Kelly is lucky that Gail was a little lax in applying the Christo.
David: What are you talking about, it was LuFisto who kept...
(As Kelly celebrates, LuFisto hits her from behind with the chair. She goes down, and the Dangerous Liaison starts stomping her. Gail puts her in a reverse bow-and-arrow, and Kelly taps. However, Lisa Letty runs out and hits LuFisto with forearms. She whips her into the ropes and lands a roundhouse kick to the midsection. She hits the Letty Driver on LuFisto and then goes after Gail, who rolls out of the ring. The Dangerous Liaison retreats up the aisle as Lisa helps Kelly.)
David: Gail Kim wanted no part of Lisa Letty after seeing her plant LuFisto. Thanks to a miscalculation, Kelly is the winner, and could conceivably challenge Kim if she were to win the Ladies' Title at Melee.
Dick: I think that will be the case, but Gail has no momentum going into the match now.
David: Coming up next, we have tag action as Ronin Fox and Bryan Danielson take on Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Jay Crowe is walking, and Cynric hurries to catch up with him.)
Cynric: Jay!
(Jay turns around and gets ready for a fight.)
Cynric: Whoa, Jay, no. I'm not here to fight.
Jay: What do you want, then?
Cynric: Listen, I've been meaning to catch you alone for a few weeks now. I've seen just like everyone else here what's going on with C.M. Punk and Eddie. I know we've had our differences in the past, but one thing we can both relate to is being older brothers. I know you're trying to protect Eddie, but he's his own man now, and makes his own decisions. If you want to convince him that Punk is a bad influence, do you think aligning yourself with Punk is going to help? No, it's just going to make him stronger. You're going about this the wrong way.
Jay: What would you know about any of this?
Cynric: All I know is if my own little brother were in the same situation, I wouldn't help my enemy just to stay close to him.
Jay: You stay out of our business, Cynric. You may be an older brother as well, but Eddie's not Ronin Fox, and I'm not you!
(He slaps Cynric across the face and walks away.)
Jay: Just stay out of it!
(Cynric watches him go, holding his face.)
(In the locker room, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Low Ki.)
Bill: Low Ki, though none of us condone your actions, you may have upped your chances at winning the Round Robin when you attacked Bryan Danielson after your match at Bloody Valentine. That forced the booking plans to change, and instead of wrestling twice at Melee, you'll only have to wrestle once. Now, over the past two weeks, you've beaten both Nykk and Ronin Fox to make your record in the Round Robin 2-1. If you win your match against C.M. Punk on Saturday, you'll have enough wins to be eligible for the MECCA Championship. However, if Nykk or Bryan Danielson win both their matches, they would then force a tie breaker.
Low Ki: As you said, Bill, I did up my chances of winning when I took out Danielson back at Bloody Valentine. As far as the Round Robin goes, thanks to me, Ronin Fox is a non-factor now. Either Nykk or Bryan Danielson could win both their matches, but since they'll be facing each other, not both of them. I'll worry about that if the time comes. When I beat Punk, I'll be 3-1, and appropriately be crowned the first MECCA Champion. I'm known for initializing the credibility of new titles. This Saturday, Punk, you'll be hit with a tidal wave that will wash away all your hopes and dreams.
(In the arena, "The Leaving Song Part II" hits and Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid make their way to the ring.)
David: Low Ki is fired up for his last Round Robin match this Saturday, when he'll take on the leader of SELF, C.M. Punk.
Dick: If he wins, he'd better hope that Bryan Danielson and Nykk don't win their next two matches, or he'll have to face one of them again.
David: Here comes the man, Eddie Crowe, who all this controversy has surrounded lately. This whole thing started with just Nykk and C.M. Punk, but now the Pyro Twins are involved, as is SELF's pet project Trent Acid, and as we saw moments ago, Cynric. And it all surrounds that man, Eddie Crowe.
Dick: I don't know if Cynric wants to get involved that deeply, but he got the taste slapped out of his mouth by Jay Crowe for even trying.
("Self Esteem" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: Danielson is still 1-1 in the Round Robin, and his best hope is to win both his matches this Saturday, one against Ronin Fox and one against Nykk, and hope that Low Ki loses to C.M. Punk and that Nykk beats Punk in their match.
Dick: Confused yet, folks?
("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: Here comes one of the men that Danielson will face at Melee, but tonight they'll be tag partners.
Dick: Fox has lost twice and is the first man in the Round Robin to do so, so he's out of title contention. His only hope is to beat Danielson this Saturday, and hope everyone else ties up at 2-2 to force a five-way for the title.
(FINISH: Throughout the match, Danielson and Fox compete to get the winning fall. Danielson gets the hot tag, and takes out both Eddie and Acid. He plants Acid with a Saito Suplex, and then goes for a Cattle Mutilation on Eddie. He gets the hold locked in, but Acid breaks it up. Fox comes back in and spears Acid into the corner. Danielson goes for a dragon suplex on Eddie, but Eddie blocks it and reverses the full nelson. Danielson drops down to his back, and Eddie drops on top of him, rolling him up. At two, Fox comes over and pushes Eddie forward, allowing Danielson to counter with a victory roll for the three count.)
Winners: Ronin Fox and Bryan Danielson
David: Danielson got the pin and the momentum heading into Melee, but it was Fox who caused the pinfall to happen!
Dick: Fox wasn't about to take a loss just because he wasn't the one to get the pin. He's a consummate professional.
(Acid attacks Fox from behind with a hard clothesline, and picks him up for the Acid Bomb. Danielson clips Acid's knee and Fox falls on top of him. Fox bounces off the ropes and hits Acid with the Tail End. As he's getting up, Eddie attacks from behind with a forearm, sending Fox into Danielson, who is facing the crowd. Eddie and Acid hightail it as Danielson asks Fox why he hit him. Fox explains the situation.)
David: We could see some fireworks right here. Danielson thinks that Fox intentionally hit him.
(Fox extends his hand, and Danielson warily shakes it.)
Dick: It's a happy ending here tonight, but these two aren't going to be good friends come this Saturday.
David: Coming up next is the main event. Nykk faces the Pyro Twins, but did Nykk find a partner? Stay tuned.
(Commercial Break)
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with the UK Wrecking Crew.)
Bill: I'm here with the UK Wrecking Crew, consisting of Jack Fletcher and Andy Nathans. A few weeks ago, you two debuted and upset Fugitivos Locos from Mexico to advance in the International Invitational. Now at Melee, your semi-final match will be against the Japanese contingent of Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota. Gentlemen, welcome to MECCA.
Jack: Thank you very much, Bill. But you're wrong about one thing. It was not an upset when we beat Psychosis and Super Crazy weeks ago. It was simply a matter of who is more talented.
Andy: Those two luchadores are yesterday's news. They may have been a big deal during the '90s, but this is the 21st century. A new breed is ready to take center stage in professional wrestling. We are young and hungry, and anything that gets in our way, we destroy. We will bring the International Cup as well as the tag team titles back to the home country, you can have our word on...
(Takemura and Sakota attack the UK Wrecking Crew from behind, and ram them into the walls. Fletcher and Nathans fight back, and the two teams brawl out of sight.)
Bill: Whew. It's going to be a war on Saturday! Let's go back to ringside.
(In the ring, "Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: We just saw a brawl between the UK Wrecking Crew and Takemura and Sakota, and those two teams will face each other this Saturday. Melee will emanate from the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 12, and will be broadcast live on local affiliates throughout the Ohio area. Not only that match, but for the Round Robin, we'll have Punk vs. Low Ki, Danielson vs. Fox and Danielson vs. Nykk. The Ladies' Title will be on the line as Lisa Letty defends against Gail Kim, and these two pyros are in for a busy night as well.
Dick: They'll be taking on Kaientai Deluxe in the semi-finals of the upper brackets in the International Invitational. It'll be the US vs. Japan!
David: But right now, they have to worry about Nykk. He's no warm-up opponent, even by himself.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk has taken it upon himself to challenge the Pyro Twins once again, after they beat him down again last week.
Dick: Well, he was attacking Jay's brother at the time.
David: Nykk considers the rift between himself and the Pyro Twins Eddie's fault, and he's vowed to not let SELF get out the chute.
(Nykk gets in the ring, and the Pyro Twins prepare to attack. Nykk prepares to defend himself, but suddenly "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: What the... Cynric!?
Dick: Is Cynric Nykk's partner?
David: He certainly didn't like Jay slapping him earlier. Maybe that's why he's doing this.
(Nykk and Cynric share a brief nod and then charge the Pyro Twins as the bell rings.)
(FINISH: Cynric gets the hot tag and tears into Jay with martial arts combinations. He sends Jay down, and Dusty comes in but gets a rolling koppo kick. He whips Jay into the corner, and then throws Dusty into his midsection, forcing Dusty to give him a shoulder thrust. Cynric charges the corner and leaps off Dusty's back to give Jay a roundhouse kick. He covers Jay and gets a two count. He whips Jay into the ropes, but Jay reverses. He drops down, and Dusty elbows Cynric in the midsection. Jay kicks Cynric's leg to send him down, and they hit an elbow drop/double axehandle combination. They set Cynric on the top rope for a double superplex, but Nykk comes in and pulls Jay off, clotheslining him on the top rope. Nykk gets up on the second rope and gets under Dusty, preparing to electric chair suplex him at the same time he superplexes Cynric. Howver, Jay gets under Nykk for a powerbomb, and all four men hit a powerbomb/electric chair/superplex stack combo. Jay poses for the crowd as the only one still standing, and goes for a triangle choke on Nykk. Nykk pulls Jay over, somersaulting him. Nykk gets to his feet and quickly applies the Cedarleaf. Jay easily reaches the ropes and starts to climb them while still in the hold. Meanwhile, Dusty picks up Cynric, but gets hit with an enzugiri. Cynric bounces off the ropes and gives a modified Lift Off to Jay's head. Jay slumps to the mat and Nykk releases him. Cynric pulls him away from the ropes and covers for the three count.)
Winners: Nykk and Cynric
David: What a tag match that was! I don't think Dusty and Jay expected Nykk and Cynric to work so well together.
Dick: They certainly got the job done tonight, but Nykk has a chore ahead of him on Saturday in the form of "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson.
David: That's all for us this week. Please join us this Saturday for Melee, and next week on Go Time! Good night!
