("Neocon" opening.)
David: We are making our debut her in Louisville, Kentucky, right here in the Bingham Theatre. We are just removed from our first pay-per-view event. We are MECCA, and this is Go Time! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli.
Dick: And what an event it was at Bloody Valentine in Cincinnati. The Round Robin was certainly kicked off in style, with three fantastic matches.
David: For those of you who couldn't join us, Nykk, C.M. Punk and Bryan Danielson each gained a victory. However, Danielson also suffered a loss, along with Ronin Fox and Low Ki.
Dick: That puts pressure on Fox tonight, because in the main event he will take on C.M. Punk in a match for the Round Robin. If Fox loses again, he has no chance of claiming the MECCA Championship.
David: That's not all that happened, as Bloody Valentine saw the Pyro Twins advance in the International Invitational, but our other tag match didn't happen. So we're going to rectify the situation immediately and have that match right now!
("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring. Huh is dressed in a red and white striped shirt, and Cheesecake's usual leapord skin shirt is instead white spots on a blue background. They're also waving an American flag.)
David: Because of Men's Teioh missing his flight on Saturday morning, the tournament match from Bloody Valentine became Huh vs. Dick Togo, where David Caldwell used some rather devious tactics to ensure Togo's victory.
Dick: I think his efforts were smart, because he may have caused some further injury to Cheesecake's arm in the process.
(The Eccentrics start waving around the flag, and then each hold an end to pose with it. Unfortunately, the effect is lost as the flag only has twenty stars.)
Dick: Where the hell did they dig up that flag?
("Entre dos Tierras" hits and Kaientai Deluxe makes their way to the ring, along with David Caldwell. They're each waving a Japanese flag.)
David: KDX looks to be pumped, but it's harder to get that same level of adrenaline in a regular TV match than you'd get at a big event like Bloody Valentine. Will that affect these two teams?
Dick: It's hard to say. The Eccentrics always seem to be energetic no matter where they are, and Teioh and Togo are very stoic. I still have to give KDX the advantage, though.
David: It's the US vs. Japan in the International Invitational, right now!
(FINISH: Huh gets the hot tag and mows down Teioh and Togo with clotheslines. He hits a standing avalanche on Teioh, and then headlocks Togo, giving him a running bulldog. As soon as Togo rolls over, Cheesecake comes off the top rope with a diving headbutt. Huh covers and gets a two count. Huh goes up for the moonsault, but Togo moves. Huh stands up in pain, and Teioh forearms him from behind, causing Huh to go through the ropes to the outside. Cheesecake tags him on his way out and comes in. He clotheslines Teioh and gives Togo a swinging neckbreaker. He gives Teioh a spinebuster onto Togo, and signals for the Long Kiss Goodnight. He sets up Togo, but Togo escapes and pushes Cheesecake into the ropes as referee David Bower gets Teioh out. Caldwell jumps up and grabs Cheesecake's arm, using Cheesecake's own momentum to wrench it across the rope. Cheesecake holds his arm and staggers, allowing Togo to roll him up with an inside cradle and get the three count.)
Winners: Kaientai Deluxe
David: That scab David Caldwell just did it again! KDX advances in the International Invitational, and the Eccentrics fall into the lower bracket. Is this how KDX wants to represent that flag they were waving earlier? Dick: But don't forget, the Eccentrics were in this same situation once before, and they rose above it to win it all.
David: We'll have one more tournament match tonight, as the debuting team of Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher, the UK Wrecking Crew, obviously representing the UK, take on Fugitivos Locos, representing Mexico…
("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk walks to the ring, accompanied by Eddie Crowe. Halfway down the aisle, Punk motions toward the dressing room and the Pyro Twins reluctantly come out.)
David: Wait a minute, what's this? At Bloody Valentine, we found out why the Pyro Twins are with C.M. Punk. The specifics weren't mentioned, but it all seems to center around that young Punk clone, who it has been confirmed is Jay's brother, Eddie Crowe.
Dick: It's an uncomfortable situation for just about everybody. We don't know what Punk is playing at.
(They all enter the ring, and Punk gets a mic. The Pyro Twins tell David Caldwell and KDX to beat it.)
Punk: I'd normally say that it's great to be out here... except that I'm in Louisville, Kentucky. This entire state is a cesspool of drinking, low personal hygiene and immoral trysts that have no place in decent society! In fact, one of the reasons that I've come out here is to let you people get a good look at me, and have something to strive for. Let's face it... you'll never quite reach my standard, because I'm better than you, but at least you'll have some hope for your bleak, miserable lives. At Bloody Valentine, I not only came into my own here in MECCA, I brought some others up with me! I beat the American Dragon, tonight I will pulverize Ronin Fox, and then beat whoever's thrown at me next, all in the name of securing myself the MECCA Championship. But the Pyro Twins proved to the world that they still had what it takes, by sending Reckless Abandon flying recklessly into the lower bracket of the International Invitational. And then there's this young man right here. (puts an arm on Eddie's shoulder) As he's no doubt been identified by those in the know in this company, this is Eddie Crowe, younger brother of my good friend Jay over there. A little while ago, this young man came to me for training, and I graciously gave it to him. You see, he didn't trust his older brother not to turn on him once he had broken into the business, and rightfully so. You Pyro Twins are ruthless, heartless... you two are beasts, and when I realized that Eddie was related to you, Jay, and one of your best friends in the world, Dusty, I knew I had the cage that could contain you two beasts. Eddie has given himself over to my tutelage, mind and body. And I know you and Dusty are concerned about his welfare, Jay, but I can assure you that when I'm done with him, he'll be a calculated and moral wrestling machine just like me. Until then, Pyro Twins, I suggest you stay close and protect student AND teacher from harm... because I know that you know what's best for Eddie. What I have assembled here, ladies and gentlemen, is the force that will propel me to the top of MECCA, beyond the championship, beyond being a franchise player, and into being no less than a god. Straight edge is the way to live your life, and so this little organization is called SELF, which stands for the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation. This is the umbrella that will shield MECCA's workers and fans from the temptations and decadence of this world. From this point on, you are all... mine.
(He looks right at Dusty and Jay when he says his last line, and "Miseria Cantare" plays.)
David: Of all the pretentious... who the hell does Punk think he is?
Dick: He obviously has won over Eddie Crowe, and by proxy the Pyro Twins. Whoever the hell he thinks he is, he's off to one hell of a start.
David: He's not satisfied with being a main eventer and MECCA Champion, but he has to control every facet of our lives so that he can force us to try and live up to some imaginary ideal? We'll see Punk later when he takes on Ronin Fox, but up next the International Invitational continues!
(Commercial Break)
(The Pyro Twins are walking backstage, looking sullen. They turn a corner and come across Nykk, who's seated on a stairwell.)
Nykk: Yo, guys. What's up?
Jay: What are you doing here?
Nykk: Look, by now everyone knows the situation with C.M. Punk and your brother, Jay. I understand completely why you had to turn on me. If Punk has the kind of control over Eddie that you fear, he could easily poison Eddie's mind or even destroy it. That's why you have to back up Punk in his little grand delusion. I now see what a tough situation it is, and I feel for you guys. I really do. I've known you both a long time, and I know how hard it must have been to hurt me. But make no mistake about it... even though I sympathize with you... I can't let you get away with what you did to me. I have a reputation to uphold. Friends or no friends, I will do everything in my power to destroy this Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation, and make your careers here in MECCA a living hell. Believe me, it's going to hurt me much more than it's going to hurt you.
(Nykk brushes past them and exits.)
(In the arena, "Voices" hits and Fugitivos Locos make their way to the ring, carrying Mexican flags.)
David: We're continuing the International Invitational with another first round match. We've already seen the Pyro Twins advance at Bloody Valentine, and earlier on, Kaientai Deluxe advanced for Japan. Right now, however, it will be Mexico vs. the UK!
Dick: Psychosis and Super Crazy are proud to represent their home country, and the lucha libre wrestling style that came from their country.
("Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, carrying British flags.)
David: Well, we don't know much about the team of Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher except that they're friends of RCW's Austin Lee.
Dick: Newly imported from the UK, and going under the name the UK Wrecking Crew, reminiscent of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew. They have to be the underdogs in this match, as Super Crazy and Psychosis have competed in WWE, WCW and ECW in the past.
(FINISH: Psychosis and Crazy hit the SuperCanrana on Nathans, and Crazy covers. However, Fletcher runs in and makes the save by elbow dropping Crazy. Psychosis goes for a back suplex on Fletcher, but Fletcher lands on his feet and hits Psychosis with rapid forearms to the back. Pyschosis bends over and Fletcher waistlocks him. Nathans springboards off the second rope and spins in midair, kneedropping Psychosis in the back of the head. Fletcher follows up with a release German suplex that knocks Psychosis out. Crazy is back up, and lifts Nathans to hit a fireman's carry slam. He goes for the trifecta of moonsaults, but Fletcher catches him with a powerslam on the second one. He pulls Crazy up by his arms and stands on his feet so that Crazy's upper body is horizontal. Nathans bounces off the ropes and hooks Crazy's head, giving him a reverse swinging neckbreaker. Nathans immediately hits a rolling necksnap and bridges, holding Crazy's face up. Fletcher bounces off the ropes and dives at Crazy, headbutting him in the face. Nathans covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: What a debut for the UK Wrecking Crew! They just destroyed Fugitivos Locos!
Dick: I'm told that they call that last move the Wrecking Ball. Crazy and Psychosis were just completely unprepared for that kind of hard-hitting tandem offense.
David: We may have some new favorites in the International Invitational, if this keeps up. When we come back, however, our Ladies' Champion Lisa Letty will be in action against Gail Kim!
(Commercial Break)
(Bill Bicknell is standing with Gail Kim backstage.)
Bill: Gail, this past Saturday at Bloody Valentine, you attempted to help LuFisto gain the Ladies' Championship by beating Lisa Letty. However, your attempt at interference backfired, and allowed Lisa to retain. Now you will face her in a non-title match. What are your thoughts?
Gail: Little Lisa really thinks she's hot stuff since she won the Ladies' Title, doesn't she? You know what, Lisa? I'm a former WWE Women's Champion, so you've got nothing on me. But tonight, when I beat you in the middle of the ring, I'll make my claim to being a contender for the MECCA Ladies' Title.
Bill: But what about LuFisto? I thought you were helping her to win the Ladies' Title.
Gail: And who do you think is going to get first shot once she does win it? LuFisto and I made a pact from the beginning that we would control the women's division of MECCA. The Dangerous Liaison will become women's wrestling, and there isn't anything the other ladies can do about it.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: The Dangerous Liaison may have the goal of controlling the MECCA women's division, but the fact remains that Lisa Letty remains the Ladies' Champion.
Dick: If Gail's interference hadn't backfired at Bloody Valentine, I seriously doubt that would be the case.
David: Nonetheless, I have no idea what Gail is talking about when she accuses Lisa of having an attitude. She's been nothing less than humbly ecstatic since winning that title.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)
David: Gail Kim now has the task of doing what her friend LuFisto could not, and that's beat Lisa Letty.
Dick: Win or lose, Lisa's in for a world of hurt courtesy of the submission expert Gail Kim.
(FINISH: Gail goes for a stepover single leg crab, but Lisa manages to push her into the turnbuckles with her other foot. She rolls up Gail, but only gets a two count. Lisa bounces off the ropes and goes for a high cross body, but Gail throws her off into referee Nikki Alvarado, knocking her down. Gail charges Lisa, but Lisa hits a drop toehold. She spins around to Gail's upper body and applies the Letty Stretch. Before Gail can tap, LuFisto runs into the ring with a garbage can lid. She cracks Lisa over the head with it and exits the ring as Nikki gets up. Gail bounces off the ropes and applies the Christo to Lisa, taking her down to the mat. After a few moments, Lisa taps out.)
Winner: Gail Kim
David: Gail Kim has beaten the Ladies' Champion!
Dick: The Dangerous Liaison's interference may have backfired on Saturday, but tonight it went a little better for them.
(LuFisto pulls Gail out of the ring and helps her to the back, telling her, "Now THAT'S how you interfere in a match." Lisa looks on from the ring, holding her neck.)
David: This will do wonders for Gail's standing the ladies' division, despite the dubious means that she won. Anyhow, our main event is up next, and earlier Bill Bicknell was able to get these comments from Ronin Fox.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Ronin Fox.)
Bill: Fox, the Round Robin continues for you tonight, as you face C.M. Punk. At Bloody Valentine, you lost your match against Nykk while Punk won his against Bryan Danielson. If you lose again, you cannot win the MECCA Championship. Are you feeling any pressure going into this match?
Fox: I definitely feel pressure every time I go to the ring, Bill, regardless of what's going on. There's pressure to win, to please the fans and make sure that I keep in good health so that I can keep doing what I do. Yes, the pressure is on, but I'm not concerned about what Punk has or hasn't won. I'm not concerned about Nykk. He beat me on Saturday, and nothing can change that. We won't face each other again in this Round Robin, so I have to focus on what's in front of me. I will find a way to beat Punk, and to rebound and win this Round Robin. It's too important to fail. After tonight, Punk, the pressure will be on you too.
(Commercial Break)
("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're back and ready for our main event, and we'll put up the board to show you how it stands now.
(The scoreboard is shown, and shows the Round Robin records. Punk is 1-0, Nykk is 1-0, Danielson is 1-1, Ronin Fox is 0-1 and Low Ki is 0-1.)
Dick: The pressure on Fox, Low Ki and Danielson must be tremendous. At least Danielson has a win, but Fox and Ki have a lot at stake.
David: And we just found out that next week's match will be Nykk vs. Low Ki, and in two weeks, Ronin Fox will take on Low Ki.
Dick: And that means that at Melee, Bryan Danielson will once again have to wrestle twice, since he's still hurt. The post-match attack at Bloody Valentine was a smart move by Low Ki. He realized he was down one, and knew that wrestling twice in one night was no way to climb out of the hole.
David: As you can see, Punk does not have the rest of SELF out here with him. Katie Piehl has decreed that these Round Robin matches will be free from any outside shenanigans.
("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: Ronin Fox seems to have kept his confidence despite losing to Nykk at Bloody Valentine.
Dick: He says that a win tonight is important for him. I guess we're about to find out just how important.
(The bell rings, and Punk and Fox lock up. They jockey for position, and Punk forces Fox into the corner. The ref calls for a break, and Punk breaks clean, but shoves Fox. Punk and Fox lock up again, but Punk breaks it after a few moments and piefaces Fox. Fox lunges for him, but Punk moves and grabs Fox by the waist, kneeing him in the midsection. He pounds on Fox's back and whips him into the ropes. Fox gives Punk a flying headscissors takeover, and then sends him down with a clothesline. He rolls Punk up with an inside cradle and gets a one count. They get up, and Punk tries a right hand, but Fox ducks behind him and rolls him up for another one count. Fox grabs a headlock, but Punk backs up against the ropes and pushes Fox off to the opposite side. He sends Fox down with a shoulderblock and then bounces off the ropes. Fox drops down and hits Punk with a Japanese armdrag on the rebound. He gives Punk a vertical suplex and then bounces off the ropes, giving Punk a quick legdrop. He whips Punk into the corner and charges, but Punk gets his feet up. Punk goes for a running bulldog, but Fox shoves him into the opposite corner. He hits the tiger buster as Punk staggers out and covers for a two count. Fox sets Punk up for the Tail End and charges, but Punk counters with a belly-to-belly suplex. Punk gets up and stomps on Fox's head. He hits Welcome to Chicago, Motherf*cker, and covers for a two count. He starts choking Fox, but the ref makes him let go. Punk whips Fox into the corner, but Fox tips up and lands behind Punk. He rolls Punk up, but instead of covering, segues into the Carrion Stretch. Punk scrambles to reach the ropes, and does so after a few moments. Punk reaches back and pokes Fox in the eye as he lets go. He hits Fox a couple of times and Fox backs up against the ropes. Punk charges, but Fox backdrops him over the top. Punk lands on the apron and Fox baseball slides the legs. Punk drops to the floor and strikes his head on the ring apron. Fox measures Punk and bounces off the ropes. He goes for a tope, but Punk moves out of the way and Fox crashes and burns in the aisle.)
Dick: Damn, Fox looks like he just killed himself with that tope attempt. This match might be over!
David: We have to take our last commercial break. If this contest should end during the break, we'll be sure to bring you the ending when we return.
(Commercial Break)
(Back from break, Punk is ramming Fox's head into the ring steps. The ref is in the ring counting, but Punk rolls in and out again to break the count. He whips Fox into the guardrail and then rolls him back into the ring. He covers and gets a two count. He places Fox in the corner and gives him the Face Wash. Punk bounces off the ropes and charges Fox, giving him a Yakuza Kick to the head. He pulls Fox back to the middle of the ring and goes for the Devil Lock. Fox fights his way out of it, but Punk drops a knee on the back of his head. He turns Fox over and applies a Boston Crab. After about a minute, Fox manages to make it to the ropes. Punk lets go of the hold, but not before untying Fox's boot. He tells the ref that Fox's shoe is untied, and the ref informs Fox, making him tie his boot back up. As he's doing so, Punk removes one of the turnbuckle pads. He moves back in on Fox, but Fox gives him a drop toehold. Fox gets to his feet and goes for the Tail End. Punk tries to counter with a northern lights suplex, but Fox re-counters with a sunset flip that gets a close two count. Punk is quickly back up and kicks Fox in the face to send him back down. He whips Fox into the ropes, but it's reversed. Fox puts his head down, and Punk gives him a hammerlock DDT. He covers for a two count. He tries to whip Fox into the exposed corner, but Fox sees it and stops himself with his arms. He charges Punk, and Punk goes for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. However, Fox lands on his feet and scoops Punk, running to the exposed corner and giving him a Snake Eyes on the metal ring. Punk and Fox both collapse and the ref starts the count. At seven, they're back up, and Fox gives Punk some rights. He whips him into the ropes and hits a running dropkick. He then gives Punk a reverse tiger suplex. He whips Punk into the corner and charges, but Punk moves. Fox jumps to the second rope and vaults off backwards, catching Punk with the Tail End. He covers, but Punk is able to get a foot over the bottom rope. Fox signals for the Fox Fire, and goes up top. However, Punk pushes Fox and crotches him on the top rope. Punk goes up top with Fox and hits him with rights, setting up for the Pepsi Plunge. Fox fights it and hits Punk, trying to counter with a superplex. Punk counters with knees to the ribs, and Fox releases him. They climb to the top rope, and Punk gets his head stuck under Fox's legs. Fox gives him a reverse powerbomb back to the center of the ring, and Punk strikes his head on the mat. Fox collapses on top of Punk and gets the three count.)
Winner: Ronin Fox
David: And Ronin Fox stays alive in the Round Robin!
Dick: Not only that, but Punk has suffered his first defeat, and all it takes is another to boot him out of contention.
David: It's been a night of action here on Go Time, and be sure to join us again next week as the Round Robin continues, when Nykk will take on Low Ki! We'll see you then!
