Countdown Match: Eddie Crowe vs. Yoshiaki Yago
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Yago lays in some roundhouse kicks to Eddie, but Eddie catches his foot on the knockout kick and hits a modified dragon screw. He hits the Eddie Dive, but Nana comes in and breaks up the three count, and the ref calls for the disqualification.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
("Shipping Up to Boston" opening.)
David: We are live in Boston, Massachusetts, as MECCA presents Liberty or Death in one of the cities where freedom began! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight Anubis will defend the MECCA Championship against Ronin Fox in the main event.
Dick: Plus Delirious takes on Alan Mayse in a Last Man Standing Match for the Toughman Title, and much more.
("Pump It Up" hits and Robbie and Ryan make their way to the ring, along with Gary, Cubby, Omar and Stephie.)
David: Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon has a shot at the tag titles to kick off Liberty or Death, and this is actually a result of an open challenge that the Briscoes made on Go Time this past week.
Dick: EEE has been looking at tag team gold for quite some time, and they jumped at the opportunity to finally bring the titles into their group.
("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: Jay and Mark Briscoe have been a freight train in the tag team division since winning the belts, and just a couple of weeks ago downed two tough customers in a Texas Tornado tag match, the Necro Butcher and Yoshiaki Yago.
Dick: It remains to be seen if this breakneck pace will wear on them sooner or later, but EEE is hoping to capitalize on the Briscoes' pride and cause them to fall tonight.
MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Briscoes vs. Robbie and Ryan
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Robbie and Ryan go for a Springboard Blockbuster, but Mark pulls Ryan's foot, causing him to fall and hit his head on the apron. Jay escapes from Robbie's shoulders and lifts him, allowing Mark to hit the Springboard Doomsday Device. Mark covers, but the ref tells him Robbie's not legal. Ryan gets back in the ring and headbutts Jay in the midsection, then throws him into the corner. He hits Mark with forearms and tries to whip him into Jay. Mark reverses, and Jay flips Ryan with a big boot. Mark ducks a clothesline from Robbie and peppers him with thrusts to the throat. He sends him into the corner with a leg lariat to the back of the head. Jay charges in with a clothesline as Mark picks Ryan up. They hit the Jay Driller and Cutthroat Driver at the same time, and Mark covers Ryan for the three count.)
Winners: The Briscoes
David: The Briscoes successfully retain the MECCA Tag Team Titles once again, and EEE is not happy.
Dick: This was their big chance at gold, but the Briscoes just showed why they're the best team in the world.
(Cubby, Omar and Gary hit the ring and lay into the Briscoes. They overwhelm Jay and Mark as Cubby hits Mark with the Keg Tap and Omar and Gary double flapjack Jay onto the top rope. However, the Lee Brothers and Huh run out to the ring and start brawling with EEE. The ref calls for the bell.)
David: We've got the participants in our six-man tag out here, and this thing's getting underway right now!
Huh and the Lee Brothers vs. Gary, Cubby and Omar
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Austin and Tristan hit the Spike Degenerate Driver on Cubby, but Omar dropkicks Austin out of the ring. He and Gary fight with Austin on the floor, with Ryan and Robbie trying to hold him as Huh prepares to dive. Everyone scatters, and Huh looks disappointed. However, Cubby knocks him through the ropes to the outside and goes out to brawl with him, Austin and Omar. Tristan dives over the top with a plancha onto the pile, and then Gary follows suit with a somersault plancha. Omar gets to the top rope and hits a moonsault onto the pile. However, Huh has made his way back in and finally hits his dive, a corkscrew plancha to take out everybody. Huh puts Ryan into the ring, but the ref tells him that Ryan's not even in the match. Confused, Huh gets poked in the eyes by Cubby as the ref is trying to get Ryan out. Cubby hits Go 2 College and covers as EEE holds back the Lees on the outside, and gets the pin.)
Winners: Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon
David: EEE pull out the victory after Huh got a little confused, and he'll have to wait another day for revenge against the guys who humiliated him for a month.
Dick: It's a matter of coming up with the right combination to beat these guys, but Austin Lee has bigger fish to fry next month when he challenges for the World Title. It will be up to Huh and Tristan to find new partners if they want to continue this fight.
David: Up next we'll have a special triangle tag match, as in the past few weeks the Irish Airborne have managed to make enemies out of both the Pyro Twins and the Consulate. Both teams have vowed to destroy the newcomers tonight, but when it comes down to who gets the win, will they be able to get along?
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: Nana didn't like the way the Irish Airborne stuck their noses in Consulate business, so now he says he's going to have the Surgeons teach these guys a lesson.
Dick: This is a match that could determine future tag rankings as well, so this is important for everyone involved.
("The Walking Dead" hits and Irish Airborne make their way to the ring.)
David: Jake and Dave Crist have a strong sense of justice, but as we've seen that can get them into trouble when they decide to take on these groups like the Consulate and the House of Lords.
Dick: They're looking to make a name for themselves as well, and possibly challenge the Briscoes for the tag titles down the line.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: The Crists scored a big upset over Jay and Dusty last month at Punked Out, and the Pyro Twins haven't forgotten it.
Dick: They've vowed not to let the same thing happen again, and tonight's their opportunity for revenge.
Triangle Tag Team Match: The Pyro Twins vs. Irish Airborne vs. The Surgeons
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Jay hits the Overhaul on Dave, but Stryker breaks up the cover. That tips off a shoving match between the Pyro Twins and Surgeons. Jay and Dusty decide to let it go and concentrate on winning the match, but Jake comes from behind with a double dropkick on the Surgeons, sending them into the Pyro Twins. A brawl breaks out, and Walters manages to hit Jay with a lungblower. Dave rolls him up with a victory roll, but the other teams barely manage to make the save at two. Dusty gets whipped into the corner, but gets a boot up on a charging Stryker. He and Jay hit Final Darkness, but he rolls out of the ring. Walters tackles Jay through the ropes as Dusty hits a teardrop suplex on Jake. Dave gives him a dropkick to send him outside, and then helps his brother up. They dive over with double somersault planchas onto the pile and put Walters back in the ring. They whip him into the ropes, but he ducks under the double clothesline and nails a standing enzugiri on Dave. However, Jake blocks a clothesline and hits the Double Shot. He tells Dave to go up top, and they hit the Irish Air Raid. Dave covers for the three count as Jake baseball slides into the Pyro Twins at ringside.)
Winners: Irish Airborne
David: The Crists just got past two of MECCA's top teams despite the odds, and the Irish Airborne reign supreme here in Boston!
Dick: You have to think a tag title shot is the next step for the Irish Airborne, but there are still some teams in MECCA that would beg to differ and say they deserve the shot.
David: Up next is a grudge match between Nykk and the Wild Wolf. Wolf requested this match to give Nykk something to worry about besides the main event tonight. These two did battle in tag team action back at Punked Out, but now the Wild Wolf looks to propel himself onto the Contender Star with a victory over the King of the Cloverleaf.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk was not able to regain the World Title from Anubis, so this is an important match for him too. He wants to get back on track and not lose his place on the Contender Star.
Dick: This could be a big night for the House of Lords if Nykk can get this victory and Fox can regain the World Title.
("Everyday Combat" hits and the Wild Wolf makes his way to the ring.)
David: The Wild Wolf is looking out for his partner, but this is a huge match for him, as he could be a future contender for the World Title.
Dick: I would have to imagine Anubis would welcome that challenge, but all pretenses of partnership would definitely be thrown out.
The Wild Wolf vs. Nykk
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Wolf hits the Twig Snap and covers, but Nykk gets a foot on the ropes. Wolf picks him up and whips him into the ropes, but Nykk reverses. He tries a running back elbow, but Wolf ducks and whips Nykk into the corner, hitting a running boot. He tries the Small Package Driver, but Nykk escapes and rolls up Wolf, hooking the tights for a close two count. Wolf gets up and pulls Nykk into the second turnbuckle and then dropkicks him into the corner. Nykk staggers out, but ducks a clothesline and goes for the Trinity. He hits a back suplex, followed by a German, but Wolf blocks the dragon. He tries a victory roll, but Nykk rolls through and hooks the full nelson, hitting a release dragon suplex, folding up Wolf. Nykk covers and gets the pin.)
Winner: Nykk
David: Nykk wins a hard fought contest and keeps his spot on the Contender Star, and you know he'll be watching the main event closely tonight.
Dick: It was a valiant effort by the Wild Wolf, but he'll have to seek different prey if he wants on the Contender Star.
David: Up next is the Last Man Standing Match for the Toughman Title. Despite falling to Delirious at Punked Out, Alan Mayse still refuses to acknowledge him as the better man. He's bound and determined to regain the Toughman Title, and so he challenged Delirious to this match where the only way to win is to render one man unable to answer the referee's ten count.
("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan is obsessed with the Toughman Title, as well as beating Delirious.
Dick: He hasn't been able to do it so far, and who would have known that Delirious would ever make a credible Toughman Champion?
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: Delirious has proven his worth during his reign as Toughman Champion, but this Last Man Standing Match will be a test of a different kind.
Dick: Delirious is very versatile despite his odd demeanor. I think Alan knows that this isn't going to be easy.
Last Man Standing Match for the Toughman Championship: Delirious vs. Alan Mayse
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Alan sets up a table on the outside and tries to suplex Delirious onto it from the ring. Delirious blocks it and headbutts Mayse. He snaps his head across the top rope and then goes up top as Alan leans precariously over the table. Delirious hits Shadows Over Hell to the outside, putting Alan through the table. Both men lay motionless, and the ref starts the count. By nine, they both barely manage to get to their feet. They trade shots on the outside, and Delirious throws Alan back inside. He goes for BAM! but Alan drops to his back and Delirious comes down on his knees. Alan goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Delirious counters into an armdrag. Alan gets up in the corner and Delirious charges, but Alan gets the go behind and waistlock. Delirious charges toward the corner and drops down, sending Alan head first into the top turnbuckle. He picks Alan up and crotches him on the top rope. He shoves Alan over to the mat, and his legs get caught between the top and middle ropes. Alan struggles as the ref applies the count, but he can't make it out in time and he gets counted down for ten.)
Winner: Delirious
David: Delirious has done it again, as he retains the title in this Last Man Standing Match!
Dick: What a move by the masked man. Even though Alan wasn't knocked down, he was still down for a count of ten, which is all you need to win this match.
(Alan finally gets out as Delirious poses with the belt. Alan shoves the ref aside and attacks Delirious from behind with a forearm. He gives him the Tiger Bomb and then locks in the Anklebreaker. Delirious taps out, but Mayse isn't letting go. The ref tries to break it up, but can't pry Alan off. Other officials come out, and they finally get Alan off. As they check on Delirious, Alan grabs the Toughman belt and comes down on Delirious's ankle with it. The officials take the belt away and tell him to leave.)
David: What poor sportsmanship by Alan Mayse, who has lost for a third time to Delirious, and he just can't stand that fact.
Dick: Alan may have gotten the last laugh tonight, but you know this isn't over as far as Delirious is concerned.
(The officials help Delirious from the ring.)
David: Up next is a Four Corners Match between the ladies of MECCA, where the winner will go on to Summertime Showdown to face Naomi Leach. This match was made this past Wednesday after Naomi Leach retained her title over Shadow, who is now never allowed another Ladies' Title shot here in MECCA.
("Misery Business" hits and Ashley Lane makes her way to the ring.)
David: Ashley Lane is the new girl on the block here in MECCA, and she has had some success, beating Stephie on Go Time a couple of weeks ago.
Dick: Katie wanted to make it a little interesting, so she added Ashley to this match, an unknown factor.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Lisa Letty is a former Ladies' Champion, and came close to winning it for a fourth time back at New Dawn. She would love to get another shot against Naomi Leach.
Dick: She wants to bring that title back to the House of Lords, especially now that Shadow can't.
("Alcoholocaust" hits and Sara Del Rey makes her way to the ring.)
David: Sara Del Rey has come close a couple of times to winning gold, but unfortunately the last time, she was the closest before Shadow's chicanery ended that and vacated the title.
Dick: Death Rey wants to get back in the title picture, and a win here tonight will get her that title shot that she wants.
("Pretend We're Dead" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)
David: Kelly Schweickart returned a month ago, seemingly to aid Naomi Leach, but then viciously turned on her at Punked Out. Naomi has been after her ever since, but Kelly wants to face her with the title on the line.
Dick: She has the chance to earn that right now, and you know that Naomi will be watching her very closely from home tonight.
Four Corners Match: Sara Del Rey vs. Kelly Schweickart vs. Ashley Lane vs. Lisa Letty
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(FINISH: Del Rey gives Kelly a German suplex with a bridge, but Lisa breaks it up. She whips Sara into the corner and charges, but gets a boot in the face. Del Rey lifts her into the Royal Butterfly and then snaps her over with the suplex into the turnbuckles. Kelly tries to give Sara a hardway suplex, but she counters with a butt bump and then sends Ashley down with a boot. She charges Kelly, but she drops down and pulls down the top rope, sending Del Rey to the outside. Ashley hits Kelly with some forearms and then goes for the Ashfall, but Kelly hangs onto the top rope and Ashley hits her head on the mat. Kelly takes her over into the Choke Collar, and Ashley taps out.)
Winner: Kelly Schweickart
David: Kelly wins it, and she's got what she was after, and that's a title shot against Naomi Leach.
Dick: That Choke Collar has been deadly, and worked very well for Kelly since her comeback. We'll see if it can propel her into being a two-time Ladies' Champion come August 30 when MECCA presents Summertime Showdown.
David: And we have a special announcement, which is that this year, Summertime Showdown will mark the debut of MECCA in Las Vegas, Nevada! Tickets are on sale now, and this will be an event those of you on the West Coast and Southwest will not want to miss. Up next is the main event, as Ronin Fox gets a shot to regain the World Title he lost last September. However, to get it he'll have to go through Anubis, perhaps the most dominant champion we've ever had.
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: Fox had to earn this title shot, and managed to beat the man who defeated him for the World Title, Bryan Danielson, to get on the Contender Star.
Dick: He wants to be the one who brings the title back to the House of Lords after Nykk failed in his rematch against Anubis last month, and he is maybe the sneakiest opponent Anubis has had to face yet.
("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)
David: Anubis has been one of the most dominant men to hold that title, even though it's only been a few months since he won it. What a coup it would be if he could put away both of the House of Lords' most credentialed singles wrestlers.
Dick: He has a big size advantage in this match, but as I said before, Fox is very sneaky. Expect to see him pull out all the stops to take home the title.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event for Liberty or Death! The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Westminster, Colorado, and weighing in at 185 lbs... he is a former MECCA Tag Team and World Champion... Roniiiiin Fooooox! And his opponent... from Cairo, Egypt, by way of Detroit, Michigan, and weighing in at 316 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Anuuuubiiis!
MECCA World Championship: Anubis vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: During the course of the match, Fox removes one of the top turnbuckle pads. Anubis hits a backdrop driver and goes for the Pyramid Lock, but Fox gets to his feet and rolls forward, throwing Anubis off. He tries a Tail End, but Anubis throws him off. Fox lands on his feet and ducks a clothesline, scaling the turnbuckles and going for the Foxfire. Anubis catches him and plants him with a powerslam. He lifts him for the Sarcophagus, but Fox slips out and tries to push Anubis into the exposed corner. Anubis puts on the brakes and elbows a charging Fox. He whips him at the exposed corner, but Fox stops himself with the top ropes, and tries to tip up. However, Anubis stops and gets behind Fox, putting him in the Pyramid Lock. Fox tries to get to the ropes, but Anubis lifts him off his feet and swings him around before dropping him into the bodyscissors. After a few moments, Fox taps out.)
Winner: Anubis
David: Anubis finally caught that slippery Ronin Fox, and made him tap to the Pyramid Lock. He will now go on to Summertime Showdown to face Austin Lee.
Dick: What a cat and mouse game we just witnessed. Fox gave it his all and pulled out the stops like we expected, but the House of Lords has failed to regain the title once again.
David: We'll see you on Go Time, fans, and August 30 for Summertime Showdown. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills. Good night!
