Punked Out: 6/28/08

St. Louis, MO

Countdown Match: Ashley Lane vs. Allison Danger
Referee: Rya Zeh

(FINISH: Ashley goes for the Ashfall, but Allison kicks at her knee, forcing her down. She goes for the Shimmering Warlock, but Ashley ducks. She rolls Allison up, but only gets a two count. She hits a leg lariat and then goes to the top rope. She misses a flying bodypress, and Allison then hits the Old School Expulsion, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Allison Danger

(Opening.)

David: MECCA has returned to St. Louis, Missouri, and we proudly bring to you Punked Out, live on pay-per-view! Of course, we have a huge tag team main event tonight, as Nykk and Ronin Fox take on the Wild Wolf and the MECCA World Champion, Anubis.

Dick: Both teams are former MECCA Tag Team Champions, and of course the House of Lords always has its eye on the World Title, so it should be an interesting match to say the least.

David: Also, the annual Eight-Man Throwdown will take place tonight. The eight qualifiers will be put randomly into teams for an eight-man tag. Then later on, the winning team faces each other in a Four Way Dance, with the winner getting a guaranteed World Title shot at Summertime Showdown.

Dick: Plus Naomi Leach puts her Ladies' Title on the line against Shadow, and much more here tonight.

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)

David: Tag team competition is starting us off as the Pyro Twins return to St. Louis, with destruction in mind.

Dick: After their previous failures to win the tag titles from the Briscoes, I have to think they'll be waiting a long time for another shot, unless the Briscoes lose the titles soon.

("The Walking Dead" hits and the Irish Airborne make their way to the ring.)

David: The Pyro Twins were pissed off that they were out of the title picture and after they beat down Bloodlust and wouldn't relent, Jake and Dave Crist put a stop to it, thus the challenge from Jay and Dusty.

Dick: The Crists have this big sense of justice, and couldn't let that bullying continue, and they have a chance to make a huge impression if they can upset the established duo and pick up the win tonight.

Irish Airborne vs. The Pyro Twins
Referee: Mike Neff

(FINISH: Jake springboards off the second rope, but the Pyro Twins catch him with Final Darkness. Jay covers, but Dave leaps over Dusty with a somersault senton to break it up. Dusty charges, but Dave pulls the top rope down and Dusty spills to the outside. He blocks an STO from Jay, and dumps him on his head with a hammerlock back suplex. Dusty gets back in the ring, but Jake trips him from the mat and rolls him up into a single leg crab. Dave applies a double armbar, and Jake lets to of his hold and bounces off the ropes to hit the basement dropkick. He lifts Jay for the Irish Air Raid, but Jay elbows his way out of the fireman's carry. He gives Jake a belly-to-belly suplex, and then charges Dave, who slides down on his back and takes him over with a victory roll, getting the three count.)

Winners: Irish Airborne

David: Just like that, the Irish Airborne have upset the two-time MECCA Tag Team Champions!

Dick: What a huge win for Jake and Dave Crist, and this is not going to sit well with Jay and Dusty, who were in search of payback here tonight.

(The Crists celebrate in the aisle as Jay and Dusty rage in the ring.)

David: Fans, it's time for step one of Eight-Man Throwdown. Eight men have qualified over the past few weeks on Go Time. We're set for a completely random eight-man tag right now.

("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee, Jamie Chan and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)

David: And what a team we're starting out with, as the MECCA Tag Team Champions, the Briscoes, have in fact ended up on the same team!

Dick: We've also got Austin Lee and Jamie Chan, which means that the Consulate has been separated, as well as Danielson and Chan.

("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson, Eddie Crowe, the Necro Butcher and Robbie make their way to the ring.)

David: Bryan Danielson will be more than happy to get his hands on Jamie Chan, but with two of MECCA's top stars in Danielson and Crowe on the same team, they should definitely not be counted out either.

Dick: Add in the hard-hitting, resilient Necro Butcher and Robbie, leader of EEE, and it's anybody's ballgame in this match.

Eight-Man Throwdown: Austin Lee, Jamie Chan and the Briscoes vs. Bryan Danielson, Eddie Crowe, Necro Butcher and Robbie
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Danielson finally gets his hands on Chan, and peppers him with European uppercuts. He ducks a spin kick and hits a Regalplex, segueing into Cattle Mutilation when Chan kicks out. Lee breaks it up, but then walks right into a hard right from Necro. The Briscoes come in and pepper Necro with rights, but he manages to fend off both of them with punches. Robbie then hits a blockbuster on Mark, and Eddie takes out Jay with a running dropkick in the corner. Lee tackles Necro and takes him through the ropes as Chan hits Eddie with a spinning heel kick. Danielson goes after him again, but gets caught with a jawbreaker from Mark as Jay clotheslines Robbie over the top rope. The Briscoes go for their back suplex/neckbreaker combo, but Danielson flips out of it and goes for a tiger suplex on Jay. Mark hits him with a big boot, and then they give him the Spike Jay Driller. Jay goes for the cover, but Chan knocks him out of the way and covers Danielson for the three count.)

Winners: Austin Lee, Jamie Chan and the Briscoes

David: Just like we thought it might, the teamwork of the Briscoes proved to be key in this match, but damned if Chan didn't manage to get another pin on the American Dragon!

Dick: Prince Nana will be happy, because he's got a man in the Four Way Dance later, but one of these men will be going on to Summertime Showdown for a World Title shot.

David: Up next is our Toughman Title rematch. A few weeks ago on Go Time, Alan Mayse dropped the Toughman Title in his first defense to Delirious. He then won the right for a rematch in a non-title triangle match by making Delirious tap. Alan wants his title back, and Delirious wants to prove that his victory over Alan was not a fluke.

("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: Alan could not decide whether he was angrier at Delirious, who took his title, or Eddie Crowe, who cost him the title. He's decided that right now he needs to focus on getting the belt back.

Dick: A great opportunity for Alan here to become the first ever three-time Toughman Champion, but Delirious is a former tag team champion, so he's proven that he can succeed here in MECCA.

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: Delirious has already made one successful title defense, but to prove himself he really needs a clean victory over Alan in this match.

Dick: We've already seen in that triangle match that he couldn't last against the Anklebreaker as so many haven't, so he needs to avoid that at all costs.

MECCA Toughman Championship: Delirious vs. Alan Mayse
Referee: David Bowers

(FINISH: Delirious hits Shadows Over Hell and covers, but Alan kicks out at two. Delirious goes for a cobra clutch backbreaker, but Alan escapes and hits an exploder. He says that it's over and goes for the Anklebreaker, but Delirious rolls him up with a small package for two. Alan gets up in the corner and Delirious charges, but gets an elbow to the face. Alan whips him to the opposite corner, but is reversed. He tries to tip up, but Delirious jumps up and headbutts him in the midsection. Alan has the wind knocked out of him, and Delirious gives him the Bizarro Driver, covering for the three count.)

Winner: Delirious

David: Delirious has once again defeated Alan Mayse, who was so sure he would regain the Toughman Title tonight!

Dick: What a win for Delirious, who has proven himself to be a worthy champion after all with a clean victory over the man he won the title from.

David: Speaking of things to prove, up next is our Ladies' Title match. It was on March 5 when the belt was vacated due to the repeated dishonorable conduct of the champion Shadow. Naomi won the vacant title last month at New Dawn, and ever since, Shadow has been saying that Naomi hasn't proven anything because she never beat Shadow for the title. Tonight, the title is up for grabs between these two old rivals.

("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring.)

David: Shadow is still upset at coming into this match in the challenger position, but she'll just have to deal with it until the belt is around her waist.

Dick: Shadow is a former three-time Ladies' Champion, and that title has been her obsession since MECCA was formed. Not having it must be eating her alive.

("Fall Behind Me" hits and Naomi Leach makes her way to the ring.)

David: Naomi was the first FPPVW/RCW Ladies' Champion, and she held that belt for over nine months before losing it to her opponent tonight. History could very well repeat itself, but both of these ladies have grown so much since then.

Dick: You never want to underestimate Naomi. She has been all over the place in wrestling, and it's great to have her back to her roots and as the champion.

MECCA Ladies' Championship: Naomi Leach vs. Shadow
Referee: Nikki Alvarado

(FINISH: Shadow goes for the Dragon Sleeper, but can't get the bodyscissors locked in. Naomi propels herself over Shadow and behind her and tries an O'Connor Roll. She gets a two count and Shadow launches her into the ropes, dropping down and then nailing her with the Interceptor on the rebound. She covers, but Naomi barely kicks out at two. Shadow yanks her up by the hair and goes for the Dragon Sleeper again, but Naomi escapes and jumps onto Shadow, hanging off of her with the Leach Hold. Shadow rolls forward while still in the hold on top of Naomi, but she rolls out of the cover and traps Shadow on the mat. Finally, Shadow taps out.)

Winner: Naomi Leach

David: Naomi Leach has finally beaten Shadow, and now there can be no doubt who deserves to be Ladies' Champion!

Dick: Shadow gave it everything she had, but in the end Naomi was finally able to make her tap to that Leach Hold. I don't think that title belt will be going anywhere in the near future.

(As Naomi celebrates, Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring, applauding Naomi. She gives her a hug and then raises her arm. However, when Naomi starts to pull away, Kelly yanks her in for a short arm clothesline.)

David: Wait a minute! What's going on here? Kelly just clotheslined Naomi!

(Kelly stomps away on Naomi, who tries to fight back to her feet. She hits Kelly with a couple of rights, but Kelly knees her in the midsection and then plants her with a hardway suplex. Kelly picks up the Ladies' title belt, tells Naomi that soon she will be the new champion and throws the belt down on her before exiting the ring.)

Dick: Kelly Schweickart just laid into Naomi with an unprovoked attack, saying that she will be the new Ladies' Champion soon. All this after she saved Naomi from the House of Lords and then teamed with her last week.

David: These fans are letting her have it, and rightfully so. Naomi is going to be furious when she sees Kelly.

(Officials help Naomi from the ring.)

David: It's been a rough night for Naomi, as well as the participants in Eight-Man Throwdown. Now the winning team of Austin Lee, Jamie Chan and the Briscoes will go at it in a Four Way Dance with a...

("Pump It Up" hits and EEE make their way to the ring, with the party pallets and the sorority sisters.)

David: Now we've got Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon out here, and they are not scheduled as usual. We saw Robbie earlier in Eight-Man Throwdown, but his team lost.

Dick: I guess that's not going to stop EEE from partying out here in the middle of our pay-per-view.

(Robbie gets a mic.)

Robbie: EEE is in the house, and we're just getting this party started! I may not have advanced in Eight-Man Throwdown earlier, but Anubis, you watch your back. You'll be seeing me sooner rather than later, I promise you that. But as you all know, in the last week or so we accepted a new pledge into Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon, and the truth is, he has been performing horribly. Huh, come out here right now!

("Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring.)

David: I don't know how anyone could perform admirably with what they've been making Huh do. As if it wasn't degrading enough on Go Time just making him clean the locker room with a toothbrush, they urinated in the corner to add more disgusting work to his task.

Dick: Huh really wants to be a part of this group. He's never really been without a group or a team here in MECCA.

Robbie: Huh, I don't know what makes you think you can be a part of Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon. But we're fair guys, and we want to give you a chance, but when we left the building on Wednesday, that locker room was still filthy! You'll get another chance this week on Go Time, but for now some punishment is in order. That's why you'll be taking on Ryan and Gary in a handicap match. I swear you had better fight back, or you're just going to make it worse for yourself. I want to see that spirit, that enthusiasm, that encompasses EEE. And that handicap match will start right now!

(Ryan and Gary blindside Huh as Robbie calls to the back for a referee.)

David: This is just hazing of the worst kind. Now they're going to beat the poor guy up. As much more experience as he has, I don't think Huh's going to last long against two men.

Handicap Match: Huh vs. Ryan and Gary
Referee: Mike Neff

(FINISH: Huh's experience starts to win out, and he turns the tables on EEE. He backdrops Gary and then whips Ryan into the corner. He hits Gary with a standing avalanche, and he falls back into the ropes, trapping himself between the top and middle ropes. Huh takes the opportunity to charge at Ryan with an avalanche and hit a bulldog out of the corner. He goes up for a moonsault, but with the ref trying to get Gary out of the ropes, Stephie gets in the ring and gives Huh a low blow. Ryan puts Huh on his shoulders as Gary frees himself. Gary runs up the ropes and launches himself at Huh for a Doomsday Crossbody. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: Ryan and Gary

David: EEE wins, of course, but they needed help from Stephie to do it, and once again Huh has been degraded by these halfwits.

Dick: And this Hell Month is just beginning for Huh.

(EEE take turns kicking Huh in the ribs before leaving the ring.)

David: Now we'll have our Four Way Dance, as the winning team from Eight-Man Throwdown will take to the ring to determine just who goes to Summertime Showdown to face the MECCA Champion.

("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)

David: The MECCA Tag Team Champions, the Briscoes, were instrumental in their team's victory earlier on. However, now they will be on opposing sides, as only one of them can get that title shot.

Dick: Either one of these guys make great singles wrestlers, and would certainly be a challenge for Anubis or whoever the champion is.

("On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)

David: Nana's hopes hinge on Jamie Chan, who got the pin in the tag match earlier after the Briscoes did all the work.

Dick: He has to watch out for Bryan Danielson, who he once again pinned to the mat in that match. Danielson has to be out for blood now, after that insult.

("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring.)

David: Austin Lee wants that title shot in the worst way, and of course is a former RCW Champion.

Dick: He was the last RCW Champion, until that belt was unified with the MECCA Championship, held at the time by Nykk, in February. Now Austin wants another shot at the World Title, but he has three of the toughest opponents in MECCA to contend with.

Four Way Dance: Austin Lee vs. Jamie Chan vs. Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Mark is the first eliminated after tapping out to the Chan Lock of Jamie Chan. A few minutes later, Jay moves out of the way of Chan's moonsault kick and sets him up for the Jay Driller. However, Austin nails him with a flying kick and then hits a German suplex with a bridge for the three count. Chan sends Austin down with a spinning heel kick and then whips him into the corner. He hits a Saitama Kick, but Austin blocks the superkick and pushes him down. Chan rolls to his feet and ducks a clothesline from Austin, and springboarding off the second turnbuckle for a cross body. Austin falls back and drives his knees into Chan's midsection. He gives him the Degenerate Driver and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Austin Lee

David: Austin Lee is the winner of Eight-Man Throwdown, and he's now going on to Summertime Showdown to face the World Champion!

Dick: What a grueling road it's been to get here, first having to survive an eight-man tag, and then his own teammates in this match, but Lee picks up the win here at Punked Out.

David: Up next is our main event. A tag team dream match for MECCA fans, it pits the House of Lords of Nykk and Ronin Fox against the Killer Kanines of the Wild Wolf and the MECCA Champion Anubis. Anubis wants to get rid of these two once and for all, and Nykk and Fox want to prove they're still a threat in the title picture.

("Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Nykk and Ronin Fox make their way to the ring.)

David: Fox tried in the worst way to influence the rematch between Nykk and Anubis so that his friend would regain the MECCA Championship, but thankfully Anubis's old partner the Wild Wolf was around to counter him before the match even started.

Dick: Now Fox himself is saying that he wants a shot at the World Title. If he could get the win tonight, that would go a long way in proving that he deserves that opportunity.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: Nykk and Fox are former tag team champs, and the Killer Kanines are two-time former tag champs. But these two teams have never met before this night.

Dick: Anubis is tired of both of these guys, and the Killer Kanines want to end the threat of the House of Lords once and for all.

The Killer Kanines vs. Nykk and Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers

(FINISH: Anubis gives Nykk a backdrop driver, and then catches a moonsaulting Fox. He plants him with a powerslam, and then launches Wolf overhead into a dropkick on Nykk in the corner. They give Fox their big boot/brainbuster combo, and Wolf covers for a two count. Nykk ducks a clothesline from Anubis and knocks him down with the Roaring Hammer. Wolf gives him a forearm and whips him into the ropes, but Nykk reverses and hits a running leg lariat. He signals for the End, and sets him up for the wheelbarrow powerbomb. Wolf fights his way out of it and gives Nykk a hurricanrana into the corner. He ducks a clothesline from Fox, who is then floored by Anubis with the Ankh Smash. Wolf whips Anubis into an avalanche on Nykk in the corner and they set him up for the Dog Catcher. Wolf hits the reverse superplex on Nykk, but Fox dropkicks Anubis's feet and crotches him on the top turnbuckle. He gives Wolf a spinning heel kick and then goes up top with Anubis. He goes for a super rana, but Anubis blocks it and pulls Fox back up. He launches Fox away, and Fox backflips and catches Wolf with the Foxfire on the way down. He crouches, allowing Nykk to step off his back and hit Anubis with a flying knee strike, sending him to the outside. Fox covers Wolf and gets the three count.)

Winners: Nykk and Ronin Fox

David: Nykk and Fox get the victory after one hell of a tag team contest, and I would say this puts Fox up there among the contenders for the World Title.

Dick: Anubis is willing to step up to whatever challenge is put in front of him, and he may be seeing Fox real soon.

(Anubis helps Wolf up the aisle, and Fox motions that he's taking the World Title.)

David: Thank you for joining us tonight at Punked Out, fans. We'll see you on Go Time, where Anubis will defend the MECCA Championship in the main event!
