Countdown Match: Allison Danger vs. Heather Star vs. Sara Del Rey vs. Magenta
Referee: Rya Zeh
(FINISH: Del Rey ducks a clothesline from Star and takes out Magenta on the floor with a tope. Star hits an enzugiri on Danger, and then lifts her onto her shoulders. Danger fights out and forces her to a knee. She goes for the Shimmering Warlock, but Heather ducks. She gets an Oklahoma Roll for two. She whips Allison into the ropes and puts her head down, allowing her to hit the Lovelace Choker. She then hits the Old School Expulsion and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Allison Danger
(Opening.)
David: We are live here in Trenton, New Jersey, as MECCA returns to pay-per-view with New Dawn! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight the two biggest bulls in the pasture collide with the World Title on the line as Anubis defends against Kevin Stone!
Dick: We'll also see a Toughman Title defense, as Eddie Crowe defends against Alan Mayse, and this time it will be a Ladder Match.
David: We'll also see the vacant Ladies' Title decided as Naomi Leach goes one on one with Lisa Letty, plus much more action to come!
("On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: We're kicking things off with the Consulate, who had a night last month at the MECCA Challenge IV, not the least of which was Jamie Chan winning the Battlebrawl, last eliminating Bryan Danielson.
Dick: Jamie Chan wants to fashion himself as the new "best wrestler in the world" and prove that his win was no fluke.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: The American Dragon is a former MECCA World Champion, and tonight he wants to start his quest to get back on track for a title shot. But first, he wants to take care of this thorn in his side.
Dick: The Consulate have done everything they can to take Danielson off his game in recent weeks, but we'll see if any of the words and actions they've utilized will have an effect.
Bryan Danielson vs. Jamie Chan
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Danielson locks in Cattle Mutilation, but Chan manages to get a foot on the ropes. He picks Chan up and whips him into the ropes, but gets reversed. Chan lifts him into a fireman's carry, but Danielson starts nailing him with lethal elbows. Chan throws him down and goes for the Chan Lock, but Danielson rolls him through into a small package for two. They get to their feet and Chan hits a spinning back kick to the midsection, followed by an enzugiri. He takes Danielson over with a rolling clutch, but Danielson kicks out at two and rolls Chan up, getting a quick three count.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: Danielson wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice, and caught Chan with a taste of his own medicine!
Dick: The American Dragon just got some vindication at the Consulate's expense.
(Prince Nana starts yelling at Danielson, who grabs Nana by his shirt collar. Before he can hit him, Nana pushes him into Chan, who gives him a spinning heel kick. They stomp away on Danielson, and Chan goes to the top rope, hitting the Falling Dragon. He spits on Danielson, and he and Nana leave the ring.)
David: What an unsportsmanlike attack by the Consulate. I guess this issue isn't over for Jamie Chan.
Dick: Chan may have lost the match, but he won the battle tonight. Who can tell how the American Dragon will retaliate?
David: Up next, the Briscoes will defend their MECCA Tag Team Championship in a Four Way Dance. Many teams have been positioning themselves for title shots, and Katie Piehl decided to give some of the top rated teams a chance at the gold as the Pyro Twins, the Surgeons and EEE will all be going for the titles.
("Pump It Up" hits and Ryan and Gary, along with Robbie, Omar, Cubby and Stephie make their way to the ring.)
David: The wrestling fraternity of Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon has stated that they are going after the MECCA Tag Team Championship, but as the least experienced tandem, they're certainly the underdogs going into this match.
Dick: Ryan and Robbie are probably the most experienced duo, but Robbie is still out with that ankle injury, so Gary will be joining Ryan on this team tonight.
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: Matt Stryker and John Walters have had a long road here in MECCA, and could tonight be the night they finally achieve their goal of the tag team titles?
Dick: Prince Nana has put together a dangerous stable with this Consulate, and he is after gold.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: The Pyro Twins also want their belts back, and they have been unsuccessful in regaining them since losing the titles back in October.
Dick: They have one last chance against the Briscoes tonight, so they had better make good on it.
("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: The MECCA Tag Team Champions are confident, even with defending against three teams here tonight.
Dick: The Briscoes have been unstoppable since winning the belts from Nykk and Ronin Fox, and they truly believe that there is no team here in MECCA that can beat them.
Four Way Dance for the MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Briscoes vs. The Pyro Twins vs. The Surgeons vs. Ryan and Gary
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: EEE is the first team eliminated, after the Briscoes hit the Spike Jay Driller, and Jay covers Gary for the three count. A few minutes later, the Surgeons give Mark the Human Error. The Pyro Twins take them out with clotheslines, and Jay Crowe picks up Mark for the Overhaul. He sees Jay Briscoe coming and tries to swing Mark at him, but Jay ducks and spears Dusty. Mark slips off Crowe's back and hits a leg lariat. Jay Briscoe gives him a jawbreaker, and Mark gives him the Cutthroat Driver, covering for the three count. A few minutes later, the Surgeons go for Bad Medicine on Jay, but as Stryker holds him upside down, Mark trips Walters from the outside. Jay kicks away at Stryker to make him let go, and Jay rolls up Walters with an inside cradle, getting the three count as Mark takes out Stryker.)
Winners: The Briscoes
David: The Briscoes have completely swept the board, as they not only retained the tag titles but eliminated all three teams from this match!
Dick: A huge win for the Briscoes over three of the top tag teams in MECCA, and I'm starting to agree with them. Just who is going to be able to stop the Briscoes?
David: We'll find out in the coming weeks just who gets the next shot at the Briscoes, but right now we have our Toughman Title match coming up, and it was Alan Mayse who made the challenge to Eddie Crowe to make this a Ladder Match. Eddie agreed, and now Alan has the opportunity to win back the title in the type of match where he became the first Toughman Champion two years ago.
("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Alan is desperate to get back that old glory of being Toughman Champion, in the days where he was building up that title.
Dick: It was at the MECCA Challenge IV where Eddie Crowe just barely got past Alan Mayse, as he had the Anklebreaker locked on his opponent. But there are no submissions in this type of match.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: With his Toughman Title victory in February, Eddie became the first ever triple crown champion in MECCA history. He of course was the longest reigning MECCA Champion, and held the tag titles, with his opponent tonight as his partner.
Dick: Alan always felt overshadowed by Eddie during his Toughman Title reign, as it coincided with Eddie's legendary World Title reign. Now he wants to beat Eddie and end this debate on who's better once and for all.
Ladder Match for the MECCA Toughman Championship: Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Eddie climbs the ladder, but Alan smashes him in the ankle with another ladder, causing him to drop to the mat. Alan goes outside and slides a table in, setting it up close to the ladder. He goes for the Tiger Bomb through the table, but Eddie drops to one knee, and then takes him down and slingshots him into the ring post. Eddie climbs the ladder, but Alan climbs up the opposite side, and they fight it out on top. Eddie hooks Alan and goes for a brainbuster all the way down through the table, but Alan blocks it. He gives Eddie some shots to the ribs and then rams his head into the top of the ladder. He climbs over and gives Eddie a Tiger Bomb all the way through the top through the table. Both men lay motionless, but finally Alan stirs and crawls up the ladder. Eddie finally gets up and grabs his foot, regaining his bearings. Alan drops down and gives Eddie a drop toehold. He segues right into the Anklebreaker. Eddie taps out, but of course there is no bell. Alan keeps the hold locked in, and Eddie is in unbelievable pain. After about twenty seconds, Alan releases the hold and climbs the ladder. Eddie tries to stop him, but as soon as he gets to his feet he goes down when he puts weight on his ankle. He tries to crawl up the ladder by his hands, but Alan reaches the top and unhooks the belt.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan Mayse has finally done it, and has beaten Eddie Crowe and regained the Toughman Title!
Dick: What a brutal contest we just witnessed, and even though he couldn't get a submission, it was thanks to that Anklebreaker that Alan was able to incapacitate him long enough to climb the ladder.
David: We have a new Toughman Champion, but up next it's a collision of two former partners. It was about a month ago that Matt Sydal announced that his MECCA contract was up after tonight, and he will be leaving MECCA. His partner Delirious didn't quite understand, so Sydal decided to take him out of the equation himself. However, that may have backfired because that got Sydal into one last match here tonight with his former partner.
("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)
David: It would be one thing for Matt Sydal to leave MECCA respectfully, but he had to insult the fans and turn on his partner in the process. Obviously burning bridges isn't a concern for Sydal.
Dick: He would love to get the last laugh by winning here tonight, but certainly Delirious will have something to say about that.
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: Delirious is ready to go!
(Delirious charges the ring and attacks Sydal before he's even out of his ring vest.)
Delirious vs. Matt Sydal
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Sydal hits the Here It Is Driver, but Delirious kicks out at two. Sydal goes up for the Shooting Sydal Press, but Delirious moves out of the way. Sydal lands on his feet and goes for a step up enzugiri, but Delirious ducks. He kicks Sydal right in the face, and then goes for the Chemical Imbalance #2. Sydal flips to his feet, ducks a northern lariat and knees Delirious in the back. He goes for the Slice, but Delirious turns over and rams Sydal into the corner. He hits the Panic Attack, and goes up for Shadows Over Hell. Sydal runs up the ropes and hits Delirious with rights. He goes for the Cyclorama, but Delirious fights his way out of it and headbutts Sydal, turning him around. He hits the Chemical Imbalance #2 off the turnbuckles, covering for the three count.)
Winner: Delirious
David: Delirious is successful over his former tag team partner, and despite these last few weeks, we certainly want to thank Matt Sydal for all his contributions to MECCA over the last two years.
Dick: Good luck to Matt Sydal in all his future endeavors, but what a win this is for Delirious. The masked man definitely has some momentum going in his favor lately.
David: Up next is the match to decide the new Ladies' Champion. We have been without a champion since March 5, when the title was stripped from Shadow. After a special Four Corners tag match at the MECCA Challenge IV, old rivals Lisa Letty and Naomi Leach won through for the right to face each other tonight.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Lisa is a former three-time MECCA Ladies' Champion, and she's here to win the title back for the House of Lords. Between her and Shadow, the House of Lords have basically had control of the title for almost a year.
Dick: Lisa defeated Kelly Schweickart a year ago at New Dawn to claim her latest championship. She wants to see if lightning will strike twice.
("Fall Behind Me" hits and Naomi Leach makes her way to the ring.)
David: Naomi has been chasing the title since she came to MECCA. Years ago, she had a very successful stint at the top of the ladies' division in RCW, and tonight could finally be her night.
Dick: Finally, a new MECCA Ladies' Champion will be crowned, and it will be one of these two women right here in New Jersey.
MECCA Ladies' Championship: Naomi Leach vs. Lisa Letty
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(FINISH: Lisa hits a bulldog off the second turnbuckle and covers, but Naomi gets her foot across the bottom rope. Lisa signals that it's over and hits a pedigree, trying to segue into the Letty Stretch. Naomi fights to keep her from locking her arms, and Lisa pulls Naomi back to her feet. She tries a backslide, but Naomi kicks off the top turnbuckle and flips over Lisa's body. She rolls her up with an inside cradle and gets a very close two count. Lisa goes for a clothesline, but Naomi blocks it and hits a DDT. She applies the Leach Hold, but Lisa gets her foot across the bottom rope. Naomi picks Lisa up, but gets a thumb to the eye. Lisa goes up top for the Letty Press, but Naomi clocks her with a right hand. She goes up and hits a superplex, segueing right into the Leach Hold. Lisa has nowhere to go, and taps out.)
Winner: Naomi Leach
David: Finally, Naomi has done it. She has become the new Ladies' Champion of MECCA!
Dick: What a victory by Naomi, and all the months of getting screwed out of title opportunities has finally paid off for her.
(Shadow runs out to the ring and gets in Naomi's face, saying that she could never beat her for the belt. Naomi tells her to bring it on, but Nykk and Ronin Fox come out to back her up, and keep her in the ring. However, the Lee Brothers and Nikki Chandler run out and take it to Nykk and Fox as a ref gets in the ring and calls for the bell.)
David: The Lees weren't going to let Nykk and Fox take out Naomi the same way they took out Nikki all those months ago! This tag match is starting right now!
The Lee Brothers vs. Nykk and Ronin Fox
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: The Lees hit the Spike Degenerate Driver on Fox, but he's not the legal man. Nykk hits Austin with a running back elbow, knocking him out of the ring, and Tristan then takes him over for a hurricanrana and a two count. Tristan charges, but Nykk dumps him across the top rope. As the ref is busy with Fox, Nikki Chandler gets on the apron with a chain. She wraps it around Nykk's throat, trying to strangle him, and Tristan charges in. Nykk moves, and Tristan smashes into Nikki, sending her to the floor. Nykk grabs the chain and clocks Tristan with it. He covers and gets the three count as Fox dropkicks Austin in the head.)
Winners: Nykk and Ronin Fox
David: Nykk and Fox win it after using that chain, but it was Nikki Chandler who brought it into the ring.
Dick: She was trying to get some revenge on Nykk for putting her out all those months ago, but it backfired big time for her team.
(Nykk and Fox escape up the aisle while Nikki is horrified at what she did. Austin and Tristan are hot at her, and they end up leaving her in the ring.)
David: The Lees are angry, and rightfully so. I don't think Nikki meant for that to happen, but her own desire for revenge cost her team a big win. Up next is the main event, fans. Anubis puts his World Title on the line against Kevin Stone, and earlier on, Bill Bicknell talked with Anubis.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Anubis.)
Bill: Anubis, tonight is your first title defense, against a former champion and MECCA's other big man, Kevin Stone. Do you have any last minute thoughts?
Anubis: Kevin Stone, the story is laid out before us. You earned a title shot, but you turned on me anyway. You wanted to find the "real" Kevin Stone. The MECCA Monster. I know I'm getting the real Kevin Stone tonight, but now you have to deal with the real Anubis, the real World Champion, the guy who is one half of a team called the Killer Kanines. And how appropriate is the adjective? Because tonight especially, your very life is in danger. Tonight, I take out the frustration with you that has been building up, the frustration I know you're counting on being my downfall. But at the end, it's all the same. I'm taking you down, leaving with this belt, and continuing my dominance. All the while, you fade farther into yesterday.
(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: The challenger, Kevin Stone, not only wants back the championship that he held at one time, but wants to prove that he's the best big man in MECCA.
Dick: Stone has been frustrated at winning the World Title time and time again since he lost it two years ago, and now's his chance to show the world that he has not peaked.
("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)
David: Anubis has been angry with Kevin for attacking him from behind, and these guys have been through a lot. They fought the David Caldwell Project together, they were on the same team in the Ultimate MECCA Challenge, but it all comes down to that title.
Dick: Anubis has the potential to be the most dominating World Champion of all time here in MECCA, and he's one step closer to that if he can get past Stone tonight.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of New Dawn, and it is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Monroe, Ohio, and weighing in at 265 lbs... he is a former MECCA Champion, the MECCA Monster Keviiiiin Stooooone! And his opponent... from Cairo, Egypt, by way of Detroit, Michigan, and weighing in at 315 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion.... Anuuuuuubis!
MECCA World Championship: Anubis vs. Kevin Stone
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Anubis goes for the Sphinx Splash, but Stone rolls out of the way. He bounces off the ropes and hits a big boot, but Anubis won't go down. Stone tries a lariat, but Anubis ducks and gives Stone a spinebuster. He lifts him for the Sarcophagus, but Stone slips out and pushes him into the ropes. He hits the Stone Cutter and covers, but Anubis barely kicks out at two. Stone pounds on the mat and whips Anubis into the ropes again. He goes for the Stone Crusher, but Anubis escapes and tries to lock in the Pyramid Lock. Stone slips out and kicks Anubis. He goes for the Monster Bomb and manages to lift him, but Anubis lands on his feet. He headbutts Stone and gives him a backdrop driver. He locks in the Pyramid Lock on the mat, and Stone taps out.)
Winner: Anubis
David: Anubis was just successful in his first title defense, over a former champion!
Dick: What a strong win for Anubis. These two hit each other with everything they had, but Anubis isn't about to let go of that title anytime soon.
David: Thank you for joining us here at New Dawn, ladies and gentlemen. We'll see you on Go Time this Wednesday!
