Countdown Match: Nikki Chandler vs. Magenta vs. Mercedes Martinez
Referee: Rya Zeh
(FINISH: Mercedes hits the fisherwoman's buster on Magenta, but she gets dropkicked in the face by Chandler before she can cover. Chandler steals the cover and gets a two count. Mercedes hits Chandler with right hands and whips her into the ropes, but Chandler slides between her legs and offers a knuckle lock. Mercedes takes it, but Chandler kicks one hand away and applies an armwringer, stepping over, sliding between her legs again, leapfrogging over her and then taking her over with a victory roll to get the three count just before Magenta can break it up.)
Winner: Nikki Chandler
(Opening.)
David: We are live from Los Angeles, California, as MECCA presents its premier event, the fourth annual MECCA Challenge! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and what a card in store for tonight. Nykk defends the World Title against the number one contender, the winner of the Six Man Apocalypse back in February, Anubis!
Dick: Plus the MECCA Challenge match itself has a special connotation this year as two bitter brothers battle it out to settle the score once and for all as Cynric takes on Ronin Fox in what will be Cynric's last match, one way or the other.
David: Eddie Crowe defends the Toughman Title against Alan Mayse, the Briscoes defend the tag titles against the Pyro Twins and much more here tonight, but we're kicking things off with the Battlebrawl Match!
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring. The Wild Wolf, Matt Sydal, Delirious, Joey Sprinklers, Huh, Kavian, Torea, Robbie, Ryan, Cubby, Omar, and Gary are already in the ring.)
David: The rules of this match are simple. Anything goes, people can be eliminated by pinfall or submission anywhere in the arena, and the last man standing is your winner.
Dick: Someone could get hurt in this kind of match, and this is right up Kevin Stone's alley.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: Danielson is Stone's on again, off again partner, but it's every man for himself in this type of match.
Dick: However, there are lots of tag teams and factions in here, so it might be in their best interest to work together for at least a little while.
("Drugs" hits and Prince Nana, Necro Butcher and Jamie Chan make their way to the ring.)
David: The Consulate has arrived, and for the first time, Nana is going to step into the ring himself here in MECCA. He is a trained wrestler in addition to being a manager.
Dick: There is nothing on the line in this match except pride, but you would have to think that the winner would be looked at for a future World Title shot for being tough enough to survive this.
(Nana and Chan remove the chains from around Necro and he goes crazy. He charges the ring and starts trading punches with Kevin Stone as the bell rings and everyone goes at it.)
The Battlebrawl
Referees: David Bowers, Keith Young, Mike Neff
(Necro and Stone get swept apart by the sea of humanity, so Necro clocks Sydal and heads to the floor. He tries to disengage one of the guardrails, but Delirious sails through the ropes with a tope. Nana and Chan come out to help Necro, but Gary and Omar both dive over with a somersault plancha and a tope con hilo respectively. Huh goes to the top rope and hits a moonsault onto the pile, followed by an Arabian Press from Ryan. Kavian goes to the top rope and hits a plancha. Danielson springboards to the top rope and does a somersault into Nana, Huh, Gary and Chan. As everyone continues to brawl on the floor, Robbie flies over with a pescado onto Necro, Delirious and Kavian, followed by a corkscrew plancha from Wolf. Torea and Cubby fly off of adjacent turnbuckles with double axehandles onto the pile. Joey tries to go up top, but Sydal intercepts him. He gives Joey the Cyclorama onto Kavian, Necro, Nana, Danielson, and Huh. That leaves Stone in the ring. He revs the crowd up and then charges. He jumps to the top rope and comes down with a plancha that takes every single person down. Everyone continues to brawl and spread out a bit as Cubby gets to all fours. Omar gets on top of him, and Robbie crouches down beside them. Gary charges them and steps up Robbie and then onto Omar's backs like stairs, coming off with a hurricanrana on Torea that sends him into the guardrail. Chan quickly covers him and gets a three count. Gary is upset that Chan took his glory, and he and Kavian beat on him, but Necro comes from behind with a chair, clocking them both, plus Omar for good measure. He and Chan cover and get three counts on both Omar and Kavian. However, Stone comes up with a kendo stick and whacks them both across the skulls. He chokes Necro with it as Danielson takes down Nana in the aisle with a Crossface Chickenwing, forcing him to tap out. In the ring, Delirious and Sydal hit their wheelbarrow moonsault on Chan, and then Sydal ducks a clothesline from Ryan and knees him in the back. He and Delirious hit the Shadows Over Hell/Slice combo, and Delirious covers for the three count. However, as they celebrate, Joey nails them with a double springboard dropkick. That allows Cubby, Robbie and Gary to hit the World's Most Giant Wrestler on Sydal and Delirious, getting a double three count. Huh slides into the ring with a garbage can and clocks all three EEE members. However, Joey has his skateboard and hits the garbage can, sending it back into Huh's face. On the outside, Necro kicks and punches away at Danielson as Chan helps him. The Wild Wolf comes over with a kendo stick and makes the save. Meanwhile, Joey whips Huh into the corner and skateboards in, nailing a clothesline. He whips Huh to the opposite corner, but Huh reverses, and Joey gets clocked with a chair from Stone. He staggers right into the Windbreaker from Huh, who covers for a three count. On the floor, Danielson goes low on Necro and headbutts Chan before setting up a table. Gary and Cubby team up on Huh, and Gary calls for a backslide/bridge double pin. He turns around, but Huh turns it around on Cubby, pushing him into the backslide and Gary eliminates his own friend with a pin. As Gary and Cubby exchange a few words, Danielson smashes Cubby from behind with a candy jar, shattering it and knocking him into Gary. Danielson covers Cubby and gets the three count. Necro starts throwing chairs into the ring, and Stone catches one. Necro gets in, but Robbie attacks Stone from behind, only to get clotheslined by Necro. Danielson knocks Necro down with a roaring forearm, but gets bulldogged by Huh. Chan tries a flying kick, but gets caught by Stone and heaved overhead with a belly-to-belly suplex. Stone gives Robbie a Stone Crusher and covers for the three count. Meanwhile, Huh piles up some chairs and tries to DDT Necro on them, but he turns it around and kicks Huh, delivering a tiger driver onto the chairs and getting the three count. Meanwhile, Wolf dives into a kendo stick shot from Stone, and Chan hits the Falling Dragon, covering for the three count.)
David: We're down to our final four, as it is Kevin Stone, Bryan Danielson, the Necro Butcher and Jamie Chan left in the ring.
Dick: This match has taken its toll on all these competitors, but now it's time to step it up and see who walks out with the victory.
(Stone pairs off with Necro as Danielson trades shots with Chan. Chan whips Danielson into a corner and charges, but Danielson gets a boot up and hits a European uppercut from the second turnbuckle. Stone trades punches with Necro, but he gets the better of Stone. Finally, Stone pushes him back into Danielson, who hits a Regalplex. He hits Necro with lethal elbows, but Chan hits him with a garbage can as Stone gets onto the apron in front of the table. Chan charges him but gets lifted into a military press and powerslammed through the table as Stone just drops him from the apron. Stone gets back in the ring and big boots a chair into Necro's face. He calls for the end of it and whips Necro into the ropes. He goes for the Stone Cutter, but Necro slips behind him and gouges at the eyes. Stone finally gets away, holding his eyes. Necro sets up two chairs back to back and tries to suplex Stone onto them, but he reverses and hits a gourdbuster onto the chairs. However, Necro manages to kick one of the chairs into Stone's midsection and then give him a sideslam onto the chair pile, covering for the three count. Danielson immediately attacks Necro and takes him down, hitting some vicious knee strikes to the face. Necro powers his way to his feet, and Danielson tries to powerbomb him through the remaining chair, but can't get him up all the way and Necro ends up going to the mat with his head stuck in the chair. Danielson grabs his hands and starts stomping the chair into Necro's skull repeatedly. After about fifteen rapid stomps he lets go and covers Necro, getting the three count. However, Jamie Chan immediately intercepts Danielson out of nowhere with a rolling clutch, rolling him up for the flash pin.)
Winner: Jamie Chan
David: Wow, Chan was lying in wait right there and just surprised Danielson with a quick rollup, and just like that, it's all over.
Dick: He was still hurting from going through that table, but he waited until Danielson had disabled his teammate and then lunged in with that rolling clutch. I thought Danielson has this won for sure.
David: Up next we have a special Four Corners tag match for you. At the beginning of March, Shadow was stripped of the Ladies' Title and Katie Piehl decided to crown a new champion at New Dawn. However, she set up this match where teams were chosen at random, and the team who wins will go on to New Dawn and face each other for the title.
(The Lindsay Lohan cover of "Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty and Naomi Leach make their way to the ring.)
David: The unlikely pairing of House of Lords member Lisa Letty and Naomi Leach will be attempting their luck in this match despite their differences.
Dick: Naomi has been feuding with the House of Lords since she came to MECCA, and that's certainly an uphill battle both ladies will have to climb if they want to win.
("Dance Commander" hits and Heather Star and Allison Danger make their way to the ring.)
David: Another pairing that wants nothing to do with each other, of course Danger and Star were embroiled in that brutal feud that culminated in Danger pulling out the victory in a Falls Count Anywhere Match on Go Time.
Dick: It's just seconds away from exploding between these two.
("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow and Coquette make their way to the ring.)
David: It could be all or nothing for Shadow tonight, because Katie Piehl has decreed that if Shadow takes the fall in this match, she is out of MECCA.
Dick: Tonight could be the last night we see Shadow in MECCA, a three-time former Ladies' Champion.
("Alcoholocaust" hits and Sara Del Rey and Zoe Alexander make their way to the ring.)
David: Sara Del Rey was the last lady to challenge for the title before it was vacated, and she felt robbed that she didn't really get a fair shot from Shadow.
Dick: Del Rey and Zoe have actually made a good team and have some experience under their belts, which could give them the edge in this match.
Four Corners Tag Team Match: Sara Del Rey and Zoe Alexander vs. Shadow and Coquette vs. Heather Star and Allison Danger vs. Naomi Leach and Lisa Letty
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(The bell rings, and Del Rey and Coquette start things off. They circle as Sara claps to get the crowd behind her. They move in for a lockup, but Coquette goes to the eyes. She forearms Sara a couple of times and whips her into the ropes. Del Rey reverses and sends Coquette down with a big boot. Shadow comes in and gets a big boot as well. Sara sends Coquette down with another boot, and then has another for Shadow. Coquette moves into the corner and Sara moves in on her, but Shadow attacks her from behind. They double team her and whip her into the ropes, but Del Rey ducks under a double clothesline and hits a double dropkick on the rebound. They get up and receive a double missile dropkick from Zoe. Sara tags out to Zoe, who bodyslams Coquette and bounces off the ropes to deliver a legdrop. She covers for a one count. She tags Lisa, and holds Coquette for a kick to the midsection. Lisa snapmares her over and kicks her right in the spine and then drops an elbow, covering for a two count. She goes to the second turnbuckle and jumps off for the bulldog, but Coquette ducks under her and she lands on her feet. Coquette lunges and tags Shadow, rolling out of the ring. Shadow and Lisa are hesitant to lock up, but when one of them tries to tag out, the others drop to the floor. Lisa finally offers a handshake, but Shadow just slugs her in the face. Lisa retaliates with a right hand of her own, and they exchange punches. Shadow gets the better of the exchange and whips Lisa into the ropes. She slides under Shadow's legs and tries a dropkick, but Shadow moves. She drops an elbow, but Lisa moves. Lisa armdrags Shadow, Shadow hiptosses Lisa, and Shadow trips Lisa on another armdrag attempt, hitting a double stomp to the chest. She puts Lisa in a headscissors and turns her over, banging her head into the mat multiple times. She covers, but Danger breaks up the pin attempt. Shadow goes over and slugs Danger, but that allows Star to tag herself in. She armdrags Lisa and holds on for the armbar. Lisa gets to her feet and knees Star in the midsection, whipping her off into the ropes. She sends her down with a shoulderblock and then bounces off the ropes. Star drops down and leapfrogs on the rebound, and then takes Lisa over with a monkey flip. She dropkicks Lisa, who rolls over and tags Naomi. Heather jumps up on her for another monkey flip, but Naomi plants her back on her feet and hits her with a left and a right. Heather covers up, but Naomi knees her in the midsection and back her into the corner, pelting her with hard rights and lefts. She suplexes Heather back to the middle of the ring and rolls through into the Leach Hold. However, everyone except Lisa comes in to break it up. Naomi gives Star a back suplex, and she rolls over to her corner, allowing Allison to tag herself in. She forearms Naomi right in the face, but Naomi retaliates with a forearm that sends Allison down. She gives Danger some chops on the ropes and whips her to the opposite side, but Allison gets the go behind and tries a German suplex. Naomi breaks her grip and hits an enzugiri, staggering Allison. She goes for a DDT, but Allison backs her into the ropes and the ref breaks it up. She ducks a clothesline from Naomi, then another one, and then springboards off the second rope, taking Naomi over with an armdrag. She takes down Naomi with an STO and covers for a two count. She tags Shadow, who sets up for the Interceptor. Naomi blocks it, but Shadow manages to hit a neckbreaker. She scoop slams Naomi and tags Coquette, who also gives her a scoop slam. She tags Del Rey, who gives her another scoop slam. She tags Zoe, who gives yet another scoop slam. She tags Heather, who gives another scoop slam. She flips off Allison when she asks for the tag and covers Naomi for a two count. She tags Shadow back in, and she puts Naomi in a reverse chinlock. After a few moments, Naomi powers up and elbows Shadow in the midsection. She tries to run to the ropes, but Shadow pulls her down by the hair. She goes for another scoop slam, but Naomi counters into a reverse DDT. They crawl to different corners, with Shadow tagging Coquette and Naomi tagging Zoe. Zoe hits Coquette with a clothesline, followed by a back elbow, and then a spinning heel kick. She lifts Coquette into a firewoman's carry and drives her down with a double knee gutbuster. She hits the Zoetrope, but Lisa breaks up the cover. That brings in Sara Del Rey to attack her, as well as the rest of the women to brawl. Shadow hits Zoe with the Interceptor, sending her out of the ring. She goes out to brawl with her as Del Rey gets Lisa up in the Royal Butterfly. She powerslams her over the top rope and onto Shadow and Zoe at ringside. Del Rey dives through the ropes with a tope onto the three of them when they get up. Meanwhile, Allison goes for the Shimmering Warlock on Coquette, but she ducks and Allison nails Naomi with the kick. Coquette immediately applies the Coquettish Clutch, but Star comes off the top with the Falling Star Press onto Coquette and Allison's arm. She writhes in pain as Naomi grabs Coquette and pitches her into Sara on the outside. She goes for a DDT on Coquette, but Coquette turns it over into a northern lights suplex. As she bridges, Naomi kicks out and counters right into the Leach Hold. Allison tries to make the save, but Lisa holds her foot from the outside and Coquette taps out.)
Winners: Naomi Leach and Lisa Letty
David: Naomi and Lisa win it and what a counter to the northern lights!
Dick: Now Lisa and Naomi will go on to New Dawn and we will crown a new Ladies' Champion. Shadow may be upset that she didn't get in on the match, but at least it was her partner who took the fall and not her.
(Lisa tries to celebrate with Naomi, who is having none of it. As she turns her back, Lisa moves to attack her, but Naomi turns around and stalks toward Lisa, backing her down, and finally Lisa bails to the outside.)
David: Up next is the MECCA Challenge match, and this has been building ever since December.
(A highlights package shows, recapping Cynric being fired from the House of Lords, his quest for revenge, Fox bludgeoning him in front of their family, and Cynric's retirement announcement.)
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: We've seen some hardcore, and now it's time for some strong style. The rules of the MECCA Challenge match are that only submissions and knockouts can end it. There are no DQs, count-outs or pins, and no foreign objects or outside interference allowed. There are no rope breaks, but choking and closed fists are perfectly legal.
Dick: Fox feels like he's already proven to be the better brother, but this is about bitterness for him. He wants to take out his own brother and make sure that he leaves scars on him mentally and physically that he'll keep for life.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: For the last time, Cynric enters a MECCA ring, and he wants to prove that the past five years have not been about him backing up Ronin Fox. He wants to show that he's every bit as good.
Dick: They've held the tag titles together. Cynric is a former Toughman Champion. Fox is a former World Champion. Between the two men, they have held every title in MECCA.
David: You would have to think that Cynric's strategy would be to go for the knockout. It was during his Toughman Title reign that he was knocking out everybody. But Fox isn't known for his striking, but does know quite a few submission holds, so you would think that factor in the match would be Fox's best bet.
The MECCA Challenge: Cynric vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: Mike Neff
(As the ref checks Cynric for weapons, Fox tries to clip the knee but gets kicked square in the face as the bell rings. The ref starts counting Fox down, but he makes it up in short order. Cynric ducks a wild right from Fox and hits him with some chops. He knees Fox in the face and goes for a suplex. Fox escapes and hits Cynric with some rights of his own. He whips Cynric into the ropes but gets reversed, and Cynric spins and drops to a knee, nailing Fox with a palm strike. Fox gets up and sent back down with a double chop across the chest. Cynric lays in some roundhouse kicks to the midsection and goes for a rolling koppo kick, but Fox rolls to avoid it. Both men roll to their feet and Fox bounces off the ropes, only to be met with a savate kick. Fox is up at the four count, and backs into a corner. Cynric takes the opportunity to slap him around a little bit. He knees him in the face again and then beels him out of the corner. He gives Fox a spinning heel kick that sends him sailing into the opposite corner, and Fox rolls out of the ring. Cynric follows and rams Fox's head into the ring apron. He gives Fox a suplex on the floor and then rolls him back into the ring. He goes for a roundhouse kick to the head, but Fox ducks and grabs the leg, taking Cynric over and grapevining the leg. After a few moments, Cynric manages to kick Fox away and make him break the hold. Fox gives Cynric some crossfaces and ducks a back elbow, trapping the arms and taking him over with a reverse tiger suplex. He goes for the Tail End, but Cynric throws him off and hits a hangman's neckbreaker. He goes for the Lift Off, but Fox rolls out of the ring again. Cynric grabs him by the hair as he makes it to the floor and brings him back up to the apron, but Fox snaps Cynric's throat across the top rope. He tries to springboard in for the Tail End, but Cynric counters with a spinebuster. He goes to the top rope and nails a front kick, and the ref starts counting Fox down. At five, he's up and Cynric goes for the Shock Cannon. However, Fox counters into a sleeper. Eventually, he gets Cynric down on the mat.)
David: Cynric was relentless in the early going, but Fox managed to hang in there and now he's trying to wear him down with submissions.
Dick: As long as Cynric is on the mat, he can't use those martial arts strikes that have knocked out so many opponents. This is a good strategy for Fox.
(Cynric manages to power to his feet and break the hold with elbows to Fox's midsection. However, Fox knees Cynric and whips him into the corner. He charges for a big knee strike, but Cynric moves and Fox knees the top turnbuckle and sails to the floor. Fox gets up, but his knee appears to be tweaked. Cynric tries to pull him back in, but Fox trips him and then springboards in with an elbow drop. He tries to pick Cynric up, but gets kicked in the face. Cynric gets to his knees, but Fox sends him back down with a dropkick. He gives Cynric a curb stomp and tells the ref to start counting. At six, Cynric is up on his knees, but doesn't see Fox sneak up behind him. Fox sends him back down with a northern lariat and then applies a figure four leglock. Cynric writhes in pain, but tries to turn the move over. Fox grabs the ropes to keep from going over, and the ref can't do anything about it. After a few moments, Cynric manages to maneuver around so that he's under the ropes and turns Fox over, hanging out of the ring to add even more pressure to the move. Just before Fox taps, Cynric has to let go and falls to the outside as Fox holds his knee in pain. Cynric rolls back in, but Fox gets to his feet and drops an elbow on Cynric. He gives him a vertical suplex and goes to the top rope for the guillotine legdrop. Cynric climbs the turnbuckles to meet him and tries for the Shockwave Pulsar. Fox fights him, and once he gets him in position, piledrives him onto the top turnbuckle. Cynric falls back to his feet in the ring, and Fox jumps from the second rope for the Tail End, only to be knocked out of midair by a rolling koppo kick. Cynric beats Fox to his knees and goes for the Lift Off. Fox ducks, but Cynric lands on his feet and kicks back at Fox's head. They both lay on the mat, and the ref starts the double count.)
David: Both men have been taking it to each other hard, and we could see a double knockout here. That's a strict ten count the referee is adhering to.
Dick: I don't think either man wants it to end this way, with no clear cut winner, but that could very well happen.
(At eight, both men are on their knees. They trade right hands, and but Cynric ducks one from Fox, and springs to his feet, landing the roundhouse kick to the head. Fox goes limp, and the ref starts counting. Fox struggles to get up, and at nine finally springs to his feet and makes it to the corner. Cynric gives him a jumping spin kick an then whips him into the ropes, spinning and dropping to one knee to double him over with an elbow. He backhands Fox across the face and then sweeps the legs. He goes up top for a savage elbow, but Fox gets to his feet and intercepts him. He goes to the outside and climbs the turnbuckles, looking to superplex Cynric to the floor. Cynric counters with right hands and lifts Fox, giving him a Shockwave Pulsar onto the ring apron. Fox lies motionless as Cynric falls to the floor, but since they're outside the ring, the ref can't count. After about twenty seconds, Cynric gets up and rolls Fox into the ring. He tries to pick Fox up, but Fox gives him a jawbreaker and then snapmares him over. He goes for a kneedrop, but Cynric moves and Fox knees the mat. Cynric goes for a reverse crescent kick, but Fox ducks and headbutts him in the midsection. He goes for the Tail End, but Cynric sets him back on his feet. He charges, but Fox lifts him and has him in position for the Demon Driver. Cynric counters with a headscissors takeover, and Fox rolls to his feet, but his knee finally buckles and Fox drops to one knee. Cynric quickly hits the Lift Off, but instead of letting the ref count him down, Cynric applies a sharpshooter. Fox tries to make it to the ropes to possibly roll to the outside, but Cynric cranks down on the hold, and finally Fox has to tap out.)
Winner: Cynric
David: Cynric did it in his last match! He's beaten former World Champion Ronin Fox clean in the middle of the ring!
Dick: What a MECCA Challenge that was, and both these men will be feeling the effects of this brutal contest tomorrow.
(As Cynric kneels on the mat, crying, Fox manages to make it to his feet. Cynric extends his hand, and Fox seems like he's going to shake it, but instead claps for Cynric a couple of times before rolling out of the ring. Cynric continues his celebration, thanking the fans.)
Dick: What a run it's been for Cynric, and we certainly thank him for everything he's contributed even as far back as FPPVW.
David: Absolutely. There will never be another quite like the Chief Assassin. Even his brother was forced to show him a little respect after that match. Up next, we have our Toughman Title Match. This match has been a long time in the making, because if Alan Mayse was the ace of RCW, Eddie Crowe has to be the ace of MECCA. Alan has been frustrated that he was never able to win the World Title, and when the Toughman Title was instituted, he set out to make it the most prestigious title in MECCA as Eddie was building his own record setting thirteen month reign as World Champion. They were former tag champs briefly, and a mutual respect was between them. However, that all changed when Eddie won the Toughman Title, the belt that Alan felt that he made into something meaningful, and he wants it back.
("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: This match was supposed to take place back in March, before EEE interrupted things. Alan and Eddie were upset and even teamed against them, only for Alan to walk out on his partner.
Dick: There is a lot of bitterness in Alan directed toward Eddie, and he seems to almost feel obligated to get "his" belt back from him.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Eddie is the first ever triple crown champion in MECCA. He held the World Title longer than anyone for thirteen months, he was a tag team champ with his opponent tonight, and now he holds the Toughman Title, which he won back on Go Time: Championship Edition.
Dick: The Toughman Title is a different beast altogether from the World Title, but Eddie seems to have adapted well enough. But he's up against the expert of the Toughman rules, Alan Mayse.
David: Of course, they are similar to that of the MECCA Challenge we just saw. The match can be won by pinfall, submission or knockout, and there are disqualifications for weapons or outside interference, but closed fists and choking are still legal, and there are no rope breaks.
MECCA Toughman Championship: Eddie Crowe vs. Alan Mayse
Referee: David Bowers
(The bell rings and both men circle each other. They lock up, and Alan gets an armwringer. Eddie reverses and segues into a hammerlock. Alan hooks the head and flips behind Eddie, applying a full nelson. Eddie breaks his grip and gives him a drop toehold, segueing into a headlock. Alan gets to his feet, but Eddie gets a side headlock takeover for one. Alan counters into a headscissors and Eddie somersaults over into a pinning combination. He gets one as Alan bridges up. He turns Eddie over for a backslide, but Eddie flips over to his feet and tries a clothesline. Alan ducks and tries one of his own, which Eddie ducks. They both go for a clothesline at the same time and strike their arms together. They go for kicks and kick each other in the midsection. They both back into the ropes and charge each other, but Eddie rolls under Alan, who somersaults over him and they kip up to a standoff. They lock up again, and this time Alan gets the headlock. Eddie whips him off into the ropes, but gets taken down with a shoulderblock. Alan bounces off the ropes and Eddie drops down. He tries a leapfrog on the rebound, but Alan stops short and schoolboys him for a one count. Alan gets a side headlock takeover, and this time Eddie counters with a headscissors. Alan tries to roll over on him, but Eddie takes him over, pinning his shoulders down for one. They get to their feet and Alan tries to dropkick the ankle. Eddie moves and grabs Alan by the head, kicking him square in the face. Alan tackles Eddie and pummels him with rights, and Eddie retaliates with strikes of his own. They get to their feet and Eddie kicks Alan in the midsection and whips him into the corner, hitting a charging dropkick. He gives Alan a northern lights suplex, bridging for a two count. Eddie holds onto a front facelock to bring him back to his feet and hits a gutwrench suplex, followed by a legdrop. He covers for a two count. He gets a waistlock as Alan gets to his feet and gets elbowed in the head. Alan reverses the waistlock and goes for a German suplex, but Eddie flips to his feet and slides between Alan's legs, grabbing his arms and somersaulting him over and jumping into a roll up for two. Alan gives Eddie a drop toehold into the second turnbuckle and then backs up, hitting a running dropkick that sandwiches Eddie's head. Alan mocks the fans and puts a foot on Eddie's chest, getting a two count. He gives Eddie some forearms and whips him into the corner. Eddie tips up and hits a back suplex. He goes for the Eddie Dive, but Alan gets his knees up. He dropkicks Eddie right in the ankle, and then applies a stepover toehold.)
David: It didn't take this one long to break down, and now Alan is working over that ankle, setting up for the Anklebreaker, that hold that has made so many almost instantly tap out.
Dick: Eddie tried to end it early, and he got caught big time. Now he's going to have to survive Alan Mayse on offense, and that's no easy task.
(Eddie breaks the hold with some kicks to the ribs. Alan swings Eddie to the side and drops an elbow, covering for a two count. He chokes Eddie, and Eddie tries to pry his fingers away. Alan headbutts Eddie and then picks him up, hitting a backbreaker. He grapevines Eddie's leg and then drives his knee down onto his ankle. He continues to kick at the ankle, and Eddie tries to get to his feet using the ropes. Alan takes him down with another kick to the ankle and applies a single leg crab. After about a minute, Eddie tries to turn himself over to get out from under Alan. He works his way to his back, but Alan yanks him vertical and puts him right back in the hold. Finally, Eddie manages to crawl under the ropes and force Alan to let go. Alan goes over to Eddie, who is on the apron, but Eddie gives him a shoulder thrust. He somersaults over Alan back into the ring, tweaking his ankle a bit. However, he bounces off the ropes to hit a flying elbow. He gives Alan a scoop slam, followed by a senton for a two count. He gives Alan a back body drop and then goes to the outside. He tries to springboard in, but the ankle is too hurt and Eddie drops to the mat to receive an exploder suplex from Alan. Alan applies a stump puller, and after another minute or so, Eddie finally manages to break the hold. He gets to his feet with Alan on his shoulders and hits an electric chair suplex. Both men lay on the mat, and after a bit, start to get to their feet. Eddie blocks a right from Alan, and nails a few of his own. He whips Alan into the ropes and hits a flying forearm, followed by a hip toss. He gives Alan a dropkick and covers for a two count. He signals for the running brainbuster and gets Alan up, only to have Alan escape and kick Eddie. He tries a Tiger Bomb, but Eddie kicks upward into Alan's face. He tries a spinning clothesline, but Alan ducks and tries one of his own, and they end up clotheslining each other.)
David: Both men have had a lot taken out of each other, and even though they've not been going for a knockout, that's exactly what could happen if they keep up this pace.
Dick: Whoever wins this match will truly be the toughest in MECCA.
(They get to their feet again and exchange rights, but Alan rakes the eyes. He whips Eddie into the corner and charges, but Eddie backdrops Alan to the apron. He blocks a right from Eddie and forearms him. He snaps the top rope into Eddie's face and then hits a springboard dropkick. He says it's time to end it and brings Eddie to the corner. He brings him to the top turnbuckle for the Super Tiger Bomb, and goes to set it up. He lifts Eddie, but he counters into a super rana. Eddie turns Alan inside out with a lariat and covers for a very close two count. He hits the running brainbuster and then goes for the Eddie Dive. Alan moves, but Eddie lands on his feet and tweaks the ankle again. Alan charges in and Eddie gets a knee up, but Alan maneuvers around him for a schoolboy. Instead of rolling him up, Alan segues right into the Anklebreaker. However, before he can get it fully applied, Eddie lunges forward with Alan's legs tied up, pinning his shoulders to the mat for a three count.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: Eddie Crowe retains his title and continues his streak of MECCA Challenge wins!
Dick: That was a little bit desperate by Eddie. He knew if that hold was locked in, he was done for.
(Alan is livid at the outcome, and grabs the belt from the ref. As Eddie celebrates, Alan clips him in the ankle with the belt. Eddie goes down, and Alan immediately applies the Anklebreaker. Eddie taps out instantly, but Alan doesn't release the hold. The ref can't pull him off, and calls out other officials to help. After about thirty seconds, they manage to get Alan off of him, but Eddie is hurt bad. Alan throws the title belt down onto him and kicks him in the ankle one last time before the refs get him out of the ring.)
David: What poor sportsmanship by Alan, and Eddie's ankle could be snapped here!
Dick: Despite winning, this is not a happy ending for Eddie Crowe. His ankle has to be almost in two.
(The refs get Eddie out of the ring and help him to the back. As they're helping him up the aisle, "Pump It Up" hits and EEE makes their way onto the stage with the party pallets and sorority sisters.)
David: What in the hell is this? Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon is out here, but we already saw their match. We're supposed to have the tag title match up next.
Dick: Since when has EEE ever followed our format?
(Ryan and Cubby consider Eddie's condition as they pass him and they kick at his ankle some more.)
David: Oh, look at that! Ryan's still bitter about not being able to win the Toughman Title a couple weeks ago on Go Time, so he and Cubby have to kick a man when he's helpless.
(Robbie, Ryan, Omar, Cubby and Gary enter the ring as Stephie directs traffic amongst the sorority sisters. Robbie gets a mic.)
Robbie: Los Angeles, California... this is where it's at, the MECCA, if you will, of the party scene. And how fitting that it's Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon making their west coast debut! Earlier on, we were cheated out of that Battlebrawl match, but rest assured, the best is yet to come for us. We're off to Hollywood in a few minutes... we've got a personal invite to the Key Club from none other than Paris Hilton herself, but before we go, we wanted to share a little bit of the party with all of you. Because after the MECCA Challenge is over, it's time to step up our game a little bit and acquire the ultimate party favors: the MECCA Tag Team Championship. Thank you very much, and let's get this party started!
(Some dance music hits as Cubby busts out the kegs at ringside and starts handing off beers to fans as the sorority sisters dance with them.)
David: We don't have time for this. This is the biggest show of our calendar year, and these goofballs are making a complete mockery of it.
Dick: The fans seem to be enjoying themselves, but I don't think that the...
("Gimme Back My Bullets" suddenly hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: Well, you're not going to call the MECCA Tag Team Titles party favors and not hear from the Briscoes about it!
(Cubby and Ryan attack the Briscoes in the aisle, but they fight back and end up ramming the two head first into each other. They get in the ring and Mark clotheslines Robbie over the top rope while Jay gives Omar an exploder, as the sorority sisters scatter. Gary manages to attack Mark from behind and whips him into the ropes and puts his head down. Mark drops to his back and gives him a thrust to the throat and Jay hits him with a leg lariat from behind. Mark picks him up and lifts his legs onto Jay's shoulders. They heave him high into the air and he crashes to the mat as Jay grabs the mic.)
Jay: Where we come from, a big party always ends with a fight! EEE, I don't know who you think you are calling these belts party favors, but we are the Briscoes, the best damn tag team in the world! If you want a title shot in the future, we don't back down from anybody. But there's also one team that won't back down, and that's the Pyro Twins. They've won one, and we've won one, and now it's time to settle the score. Jay, Dusty, get your punk asses out here, because it's time to man up!
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: Normally the challengers would be introduced first, but I don't think the Briscoes care.
Dick: The Pyro Twins have beaten some of the biggest names in tag team wrestling in some of their biggest matches at MECCA Challenges past. But they've never faced anyone like the Briscoes, and this could be the biggest rubber match of their entire career.
(As Dusty and Jay confer on the floor, the Briscoes sail over the ropes with planchas. However, Jay and Dusty move and they crash to the mats on the outside. They waste no time in pounding on the Briscoes, and Dusty rams Jay Briscoe into the ring post as Jay Crowe whips Mark into the guardrail. Dusty stomps away at Jay Briscoe, while Jay Crowe gets a chair and blasts Mark in the midsection. He throws Mark into the ring and he and Dusty get in with him as the bell rings.)
David: This match is underway, but the Briscoes' stunt backfired on them and they're at a disadvantage already!
MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Briscoes vs. The Pyro Twins
Referee: Keith Young
(The Pyro Twins whip Mark into the ropes and send him down with a double back elbow. Jay Briscoe tries to get back on the apron, but Jay Crowe dropkicks him back to the outside. They pick Mark up, but he retaliates with right hands and karate chops. He ducks a clothesline from Dusty and bounces off the ropes, giving him a hurricanrana takeover. Jay Crowe charges him, but Mark moves and Crowe crashes into the corner. Mark steps up to the top rope to deliver a dropkick to Crowe's chest. Jay Briscoe is back on the apron, and Mark goes to tag him, but Dusty tackles him and puts an end to that. He and Crowe give Mark a double gourdbuster and then bounce off the ropes to deliver simultaneous dropkicks to the ribs. Dusty covers and gets a one count. Crowe spits in Jay Briscoe's face and he tries to come in, but the Pyro Twins use the opportunity to double team Mark some more. They slam him into the corner and then Dusty sits on the top rope, lifting Mark off his feet with a choke as Crowe pounds away at the ribs. The ref finally turns around and makes Dusty get out of the ring. He does so, but Crowe tags him back in, and Dusty mocks the ref. He chokes Mark on the middle rope, but releases at the three count. He kicks him in the ribs and then gives him a teardrop suplex, covering for a two count. He tags Crowe back in, and they give Mark a double back suplex. Crowe whips him into the corner and charges in, but gets a boot to the face. Mark goes for a clothesline, but Jay gives him a shoulder throw and locks in a triangle hold. After a few moments, Mark makes it to the ropes. Crowe tags Dusty back in, and he goes up for the Mandate of Heaven. Crowe gives Mark the backbreaker, but he pulls Crowe's head into the way of Dusty's kneedrop. Mark rolls under a big boot from Dusty and gives him a superkick. He rolls and tags his brother in. Jay springboards in with a double missile dropkick to the Pyro Twins. He hits both with right hands and then gives Dusty a big boot. Crowe forearms him from behind and whips him into the ropes, but Jay reverses as Mark comes back in. They get in a three point stance and bowl Crowe over with a double shoulderblock. Dusty gets up in the corner and they give him some overhand chops to the chest. Crowe charges in, but they move and he crashes into Dusty. They whip him to the opposite corner and Jay hits a charging clothesline. Mark whips Dusty into Crowe, and then hits a flying butt bump, causing them both to fall to a seated position. Jay and Mark bounce off of opposite corners and give them a running kick/dropkick combo. Jay picks Dusty out of the pile and goes for the Jay Driller. Dusty drops to one knee and lifts Jay into a fireman's carry, but he escapes and pushes Dusty into Crowe, who falls through the ropes. Jay clotheslines Dusty and Mark springboards in with a double stomp. Jay covers, but Dusty grabs the bottom rope. Jay tags Mark in, and they whip Dusty into the ropes. Crowe tags him from the apron and the Briscoes give Dusty a back body drop. Crowe comes tries a double axehandle, but gets caught by Mark and given a Saito suplex. Jay springboards off the second turnbuckle into a senton and Mark climbs the ropes to hit a moonsault, covering for a two count.)
David: The Pyro Twins got the early jump on the Briscoes, but now it's Jay and Mark who are dominating with their double team offense.
Dick: This is not the track Jay wants to be on with the Briscoes. They need to isolate on and cut him off from his brother if they want the advantage back.
(Mark tags Jay, and they give Crowe a double beel out of the corner. He tries to tag Dusty, but Mark grabs him and spits his gum in Dusty's face. Dusty tries to come in, but the ref holds him back and Mark holds Crowe wide open for Jay to kick in the ribs multiple times. Mark rakes Crowe's eyes, and then Jay yanks him down by the hair. The ref turns around to see Mark covering, and he gets a two count. Mark gives Crowe a back suplex and tags in Jay, keeping his foot across Crowe's throat. Jay stomps away on Crowe and then lifts him to his feet, hitting a northern lights suplex with a bridge for two. He applies a rear chinlock and puts the badmouth on Dusty. Dusty tries to come in again, but the ref holds him back, and the Briscoes switch places without a tag. Dusty protests to the ref, but Mark claims to have made the tag. Crowe eventually powers his way to his feet and rams Mark into a corner. He hits Mark with some rights, but Mark covers up and headbutts Crowe. He whips him into the ropes and tries a flapjack, but Crowe escapes and lands on his feet, giving Mark a spinning heel kick. Both men are down, and crawl toward their corners. Jay and Dusty are tagged in, and Jay ducks under a clothesline from Dusty and baseball slides into Crowe, who falls to the outside. Dusty attacks him from behind with forearms and whips him into the ropes. He puts his head down and Jay kicks him in the face. He whips Dusty into the corner and charges, but Dusty backdrops him. Jay lands on the apron and forearms Dusty in the face, and he gets a springboard kick from Mark. Dusty hunches over, and Jay springboards in with a knee to the back of the head. He puts Dusty on his shoulders, and Mark springboards back off the top rope for a Doomsday Device. However, Dusty flips to his feet and Mark gets caught by Crowe and given a belly-to-belly suplex. Dusty gives Jay a Russian legsweep and then a scoop slam. He tags Crowe, and they kick away at Jay in their corner. Crowe snapmares him over and then dropkicks him in the head. He covers and gets a two count. He tags Dusty back in. Dusty lifts Jay for a powerbomb, but Crowe catches him around the head. They drop to their knees to jar the back and head and then get back to their feet. Dusty turns Jay over into a flatliner from Crowe, and Dusty covers for another two count. As the ref is telling one of them to get out of the ring, Mark tries to springboard in again, but gets caught with a double headbutt to the ribs. The Pyro Twins furiously work over the ribs with rights and then drop him into a double gutbuster and then lift him for a double suplex and drop him over the top rope. Mark slides down to the floor in pain, as the Pyro Twins turn back to Jay, only to get caught with a double clothesline. Jay crawls to his corner, but there is no one to tag. The Pyro Twins quickly swarm on him and throw him back into the middle of the ring. Crowe finally gets out as Dusty applies an octopus hold on the mat.)
David: The Pyro Twins seem to have adapted to the Briscoes' double team offense and were able to turn the tables on them. Now they're continuing with their strategy of isolating one member of the team.
Dick: The opportunistic Pyro Twins used Mark's misjudgment to really put a beating on those ribs. I'm not sure even a fresh tag would save the Briscoes at this point.
(Jay manages to power his way up to his feet and give Dusty a hip toss. He bounces off the ropes, but Dusty catches him and hits a uranage suplex. He tags Crowe, who goes to the top rope. Dusty holds Jay, and Crowe comes down with a double axehandle. He signals that it's over and lifts Jay for the Overhaul. Jay fights his way free, but Crowe catches him with a stunner. He gives Jay a DDT and covers for a two count. He applies a headscissors, and Jay starts to fade. The ref drops his hand two times, but Jay keeps it up on the third. He manages to turn Crowe over, and does a headstand, escaping from the hold. He tries to tag his brother, but Crowe holds his ankle in place with his feet. Jay beats on Crowe's back to try and get him to break his grip, but Crowe keeps hold. Dusty comes in the ring to distract the ref, and Jay finally breaks free to tag Mark. However, the ref didn't see the tag and tells Mark he can't come in. The Pyro Twins take the opportunity to club Jay across the back some more, and Crowe takes him down with an STO. He tags Dusty, who hits a legdrop and covers for a two count. Dusty says it's time to finish it and places Jay on the top turnbuckle. He calls Crowe back in, and they go up for a double superplex. However, Mark shakes the ropes and crotches both Pyro Twins on the top rope. Jay shoves Crowe to the outside and then hits a gourdbuster from the top on Dusty. He crawls to his corner and tags Mark in. Mark sends Dusty down with a back elbow and then hits him with a clothesline. He whips Dusty into the ropes and hits a running dropkick and then hits an ace crusher, covering for a two count. Crowe gets on the top rope and tries another double axehandle, but Mark sees him and punches him in the midsection. Jay comes in and sets him up for the Jay Driller. Mark springboards to the outside and then they hit the Spike Jay Driller. Mark covers, but the ref reminds him that Crowe is not legal. Dusty clotheslines them both from behind, and tries to lift Mark for a scoop slam. Mark escapes and kicks Dusty, lifting him for a crucifix powerbomb. Jay comes in to hit the neckbreaker on the way down, and Mark gets a two count when Crowe makes the save. Jay beats on Crowe with right hands and Mark joins in. They try a double suplex, but Crowe "accidentally" kicks the ref away on the way up, and Dusty hits a double low blow. Crowe clotheslines Jay, and Dusty forearms Mark. They whip Mark into the ropes, but he dosey-dos with his brother and the Pyro Twins instinctively hit Final Darkness on Jay. Dusty covers, but the ref informs him that Jay is not the legal man. Both Pyro Twins protest this, but that allows Mark to leg lariat Dusty in the back and send him into Crowe, who flies out of the ring. Mark flies over the top with a plancha onto Crowe, as Dusty picks up Jay. He lifts him for a death valley driver, but Jay escapes and grabs a waistlock. Dusty armdrags him out of it, but Mark is back in and hits Dusty with a big boot. He lifts him for the Cutthroat Driver as Jay goes to the top rope. They hit him with the Cutthroat Driver/guillotine legdrop combo, and Jay baseball slides into Crowe as Mark covers Dusty for the three count.)
Winners: The Briscoes
David: The Briscoes are still the MECCA Tag Team Champions, and we just saw one for the ages, fans!
Dick: The Pyro Twins have finally been defeated at the MECCA Challenge, and it was at the hands of the MECCA Tag Team Champions!
David: The pressure is on for the House of Lords, as only Nykk is left to defend his MECCA Championship against Anubis in the main event. But first, a tag team grudge match will take place. It was a couple months ago that Tristan Lee recruited Jamie Chan to help him fight the Consulate, only to have Chan turn on him and join up with Prince Nana to help the Surgeons beat them. That naturally brought Austin Lee into the feud, and tonight he and Tristan try to get revenge on Matt Stryker and John Walters.
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: Prince Nana was furious when Tristan Lee turned him down flat, and he has vowed to destroy the Lee Brothers tonight.
Dick: The Surgeons have been making noise about wanting a shot at the tag titles, and they could get one if victorious.
("The Way I Am" hits and Austin and Tristan Lee make their way to the ring.)
David: Many matches tonight were about titles or chances at titles, but this one is about revenge, pure and simple. The Lees do not like the Consulate, and liked being beaten down by them even less.
Dick: The Lees make a formidable tag team as well, and could you imagine them against the Briscoes for the titles?
The Lee Brothers vs. The Surgeons
Referee: Mike Neff
(Austin and Stryker start off for their teams. They lock up, and Austin shoves Stryker down to the mat. Walters wants to try, so he tags in and locks up with Austin. Austin shoves him down as well, so he calls Stryker back in. They both lock up with Austin, but he escapes and rams the Surgeons' heads together. Tristan comes off the top rope to take them down with a double flying bodypress. Austin clotheslines Stryker, and they give Walters a double hip toss. Tristan bounces off the ropes and Austin lifts him wheelbarrow style into a double legdrop. Austin covers for a two count. He tags Tristan, and he kicks away at Walters in the corner. He whips Walters to the opposite side and then gives him a back body drop. Stryker comes in and gets a dropkick. He gives Walters a snap suplex and then hits a kneedrop, covering for a one count. He puts Walters in a front facelock, but he escapes and rakes Tristan's eyes. He tags Stryker and holds him so that Stryker can kick him in the ribs. Stryker scoop slams Tristan and then drops an elbow, covering for a one count. He gives him a suplex, and Walters slingshots in with a rolling senton. Stryker tags Walters, and he kicks away at Tristan. He whips him into the ropes and hits a hard clothesline before tagging Stryker back in. Tristan rolls out of the way of another elbow and tags Austin. Austin hits Stryker with rights and whip him into the ropes, hitting a flying elbow. He gives him the Rerun Neckbreaker and covers for a two count. He tags Tristan, and they go for the Spike Degenerate Driver. However, Nana gets on the apron as Tristan goes to the second turnbuckle, and gets swatted away. However, that allows Walters to take Austin out with a missile dropkick. Tristan charges Walters, but gets dumped onto the top rope and Stryker gives him a backbreaker. He covers for a two count. He lifts Tristan into a double chickenwing, but Tristan won't submit. Walters gets on the second turnbuckle and comes down with a double axehandle to Tristan's midsection and Stryker then dumps him to the mat. He applies a reverse bearhug, but Tristan works his way to his feet. He fights his way free and bounces off the ropes, but Stryker launches him overhead into Walters, and they hit the Bad Medicine sequence. Stryker covers, but Tristan gets his foot on the ropes. Stryker goes over and shoves Austin, but he doesn't take the bait at getting him into the ring. Stryker tags Walters, who gives Tristan a back suplex. He chokes Tristan on the ropes, and the ref makes him break the hold. Walters distracts the ref while Nana gets in a cheapshot. Tristan makes a grab for Nana, but Walters grabs him by the hair and brings him back to the middle of the ring, hitting a lung blower. He goes over and forearms Austin, who still doesn't come into the ring. However, when Walters turns around, Austin yanks him down by his hair. Stryker comes in, but Tristan dives into the tag and Austin sends Stryker down with a clothesline. He forearms Walters repeatedly with both arms, and when Walters covers up, Austin gives him an overhead belly-to-belly suplex into Stryker. Tristan comes in, and they give Stryker a double flapjack. Tristan vaults off Stryker's back and gives Walters a spinning heel kick, sending him through the ropes. Tristan goes to the top rope, but Stryker gives Austin a hard right and runs up the ropes, giving Tristan a hand and arm superplex. Austin hits Stryker with a flying kick and covers for a two count. He goes for a Degenerate Driver, but Stryker grabs his leg to prevent it. He lifts Austin for the Stryker Driver, but Austin escapes and pushes him into the ropes, hitting a somersault side slam. He tags Tristan and puts him on his shoulders, preparing to drop him with a senton onto Stryker, but Walters suddenly comes off the top rope with a modified Human Error onto Tristan. Stryker tackles Austin as Walters makes the cover for the three count.)
Winners: The Surgeons
David: The Surgeons have pulled out the victory, and what athleticism by John Walters, taking one of the Lees' signature moves and turning it into one of his own.
Dick: Nana has gotten what he wanted, and that's two victories for the Consulate at the MECCA Challenge.
David: Up next, fans, it's the main event. The winner of the 6MA, Anubis, goes for the World Championship against the leader of the House of Lords, Nykk.
(A video package is shown starting from the MECCA Challenge III and chronicling the rise of the House of Lords and MECCA's attempt to fight back.)
("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)
David: The challenger is on his way down, and he has looked unstoppable since going out on his own, though I'm sure the Wild Wolf is watching and rooting his partner on.
Dick: What a road it's been, but the real work starts now.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way in the ring, along with Lisa Letty.)
David: What's she doing out here? Nykk doesn't bring her to ringside unless he needs someone to run interference.
Dick: With the Pyro Twins and Ronin Fox out of the equation for the rest of the night, who did he have left?
David: Nykk is the only two-time MECCA Champion in history. He beat CM Punk and Bryan Danielson to win those titles, which puts him up there with the very best in the world. But he had better have more than one trick up his sleeve to stop the momentum of Anubis.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, to each and every one of you here tonight, as well as all of you watching at home, thank you for joining us for the MECCA Challenge IV! The following contest is your main event, and is scheduled for one fall, for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Cairo, Egypt, by way of Detroit, Michigan, and weighing in at 315 lbs... he is a former two-time MECCA Tag Team Champion... Anuuuuubiiis! His opponent... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 225 lbs... he is a former MECCA Tag Team Champion, and the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Nyyyyyykk!
MECCA World Championship: Anubis vs. Nykk
Referee: David Bowers
(Nykk tells Anubis that the belt belongs to him, and he'll never get it. Anubis tells him to bring it on, and they go to lock up. Nykk immediately pokes Anubis in the eyes and mocks the fact that he's temporarily blinded. He dodges a few wild swings and ducks behind Anubis with the waistlock. He rides him to the mat and spins into a front facelock. He knees Anubis in the head a couple of times and then rolls over, crossing the legs and keeping a hold of Anubis's chin and stretching him. Anubis easily reaches the ropes, and Nykk lets up. He kicks Anubis in the back of the knee as he gets up and whips him into the ropes. He staggers him with a running leg lariat and goes for a backbreaker, but Anubis doesn't leave his feet and elbows Nykk. He makes a grab, but Nykk slides underneath Anubis's legs and trips him. He rolls over and snaps the leg against the mat. He rams the knee into the mat a couple of times and taunts the crowd, allowing Anubis to his feet. Nykk kicks away at the knee, but Anubis shoves him back. Nykk moves back in and ducks a right hand, and slaps Anubis across the face. That pisses Anubis off, and he grabs Nykk by the throat, backing him into the corner. He mauls him with lefts and rights, and the ref pulls him off. Nykk goes for a chop block, but Anubis lifts his leg and slaps Nykk so hard that he goes limp and falls to the mat. Anubis covers and gets a two count. He whips Nykk into the corner and hits a charging clothesline and then gives him a spinebuster, covering for another two count. He picks Nykk up and headbutts him, and then whips him into the ropes. Nykk reverses, and Lisa Letty grabs Anubis's ankle from the outside. He turns to her, but gets blasted by a running back elbow from Nykk, sending him to the outside. The ref saw the whole thing, and orders Lisa to the back despite her and Nykk's protests. She finally has to relent, and Nykk dives over the ropes with a pescado onto Anubis. However, he gets caught and rammed repeatedly into the ring post. Anubis dumps him on the apron and rolls into the ring. He brings Nykk to his feet but gets his head snapped across the top rope. Anubis goes down, and Nykk slingshots in. However, he lands on his feet and mockingly kicks back at Anubis's head. As he showboats, Anubis gets up, enraged. He gives Nykk a hard lariat and then brings him up by the arm, giving him a short arm clothesline. He gives him another one, and then lifts him and drops him to the mat. He goes for the Sarcophagus, but Nykk escapes and leapfrogs Anubis, applying a headlock. However, Anubis easily counters into a back suplex. He whips Nykk into the corner and charges. Nykk tries to get a boot up, but Anubis catches it and gives him a mid cradle suplex. Nykk crawls to the ropes and Anubis moves in, but the ref gets between them. Nykk takes the opportunity to poke Anubis in the eyes again, and finally takes him down with a chop block. He kicks at Anubis's knee and doesn't let him up, and then applies an Indian Deathlock.)
David: The power of Anubis has been overwhelming for the MECCA Champion, but he's used every dirty trick he knows to gain the advantage.
Dick: How resilient is Nykk to take a beating like that in the opening minutes of the match and come back to inflict more punishment? It's really no accident that Nykk has been so dominant in MECCA over the years.
(Anubis struggles to reach the ropes, and finally does so after about a minute. However, he is having trouble standing with his knee, and Nykk continues to kick away at it. He gives Anubis a dragon screw legwhip to tweak the knee even more, and then drags him to the corner. He gets outside the ring and rams Anubis's leg into the post. He then applies a hanging Cedarleaf off of the corner, and breaks at the four count. The damage is done, and Anubis is grunting in agony while holding his knee. He drags Anubis's upper body out of the ring and elbows him in the throat. He gives him a neckbreaker across the apron, and Anubis falls to the outside. Nykk deposits him in the aisle and then gets back in the ring. As Anubis gets up, Nykk springboards to the top rope, sits down and launches himself into Anubis with a plancha. He gets back in the ring and rests in the corner as the ref counts. Anubis manages to get back in the ring at nine, and Nykk kicks at the knee again. He goes for the Trinity, and manages to hit the back suplex. He rolls through for a German, but Anubis won't leave his feet. He tries to elbow Nykk, but he ducks and gets a double leg takedown, going for the Cedarleaf. He can't quite get it cinched in, and Anubis blasts him with forearms. Finally, Nykk gives up and rolls Anubis to his knees, kneeing him in the face. He lifts Anubis into a fireman's carry and gives him a rolling Samoan Drop. He goes to the top rope for the Swan Splash, but Anubis gets his knees up. They lie on the mat while the ref counts. At eight, they're back at their feet and Anubis hits Nykk with hard rights. He whips him into the ropes, but Nykk goes for a crucifix into a sunset flip. Anubis doesn't go down and grabs Nykk by the throat. He lifts him to his feet and ducks a right hand, getting a waistlock. He lifts Nykk wheelbarrow style and dumps him across the top rope, hanging him upside down. He hits a running boot to Nykk's face, propelling him out to the floor. Anubis shakes off the pain in his knee and then goes outside, throwing Nykk back into the ring.)
David: Anubis has that adrenaline kicking in, and though the knee still has to be bothering him, Nykk made a mistake letting him get back to his feet.
Dick: I don't know how much more of this offense Nykk can take. He needs to find a way to ground the big man again.
(Anubis covers and gets a two count. He gives Nykk a scoop slam and then bounces off the ropes. Nykk tries a Rolling Cedarleaf, but Anubis puts on the brakes and shoves Nykk's head to the mat, giving him a legdrop. He goes up for the Sphinx Splash from the top, but Nykk gets back to his feet and falls into the ropes, crotching Anubis. He goes up top with him, and signals for the Nykkochet. He can't get him up, and Anubis headbutts Nykk and piefaces him back to the mat. He hits the Sphinx Splash, but Nykk somehow kicks out at two, just barely. He scoops Nykk again, but he escapes and somehow manages to lift Anubis and hit Howling Moon II. He drapes an arm over Anubis, but he manages to kick out at two. Nykk can't believe it, and signals for Howling Moon III. Anubis counters with a snapmare, but Nykk rolls to his feet. He ducks a clothesline and bounces off the ropes, hitting a flying knee strike. Anubis staggers on the ropes, but goes for the Ankh Smash. Nykk blocks it and hits the Roaring Hammer, and Anubis goes down. Nykk falls into the cover, and Anubis just barely kicks out at two. Nykk whips him into the corner and hits a charging European uppercut. Anubis goes down and Nykk bounces off the ropes. He goes for a running knee, but Anubis sticks his foot right up into Nykk's face. He gives Nykk a backdrop driver, and then plants him with the Sarcophagus. Instead of going for the cover, Anubis puts him in the Pyramid Lock. Nykk has nowhere to go, and after a few moments taps out.)
Winner: Anubis
David: That's it! We have a new MECCA World Champion! Nykk and the House of Lords have been defeated!
Dick: This place is going nuts, and look at how proud Anubis is.
(Anubis hugs the title belt to his chest as Katie Piehl comes out onto the stage, cheering and clapping. Lisa Letty and Shadow are out to help Nykk to the back, and Katie mocks him as he passes her. Anubis continues to celebrate.)
David: What a MECCA Challenge it has been, and thank you very much for joining us, fans. We will see you this Wednesday on Go Time for the beginning of the Anubis Era!
