Countdown Match: Zoe Alexander vs. Allison Danger
Referee: Rya Zeh
(FINISH: Zoe goes for the Zoetrope, but Danger escapes and lands on her feet. She bounces off the ropes and runs right into a big boot. Zoe picks her up and whips her into the ropes, but she puts her head down and Allison hits the Lovelace Choker. She applies a Stretch Plum, and Zoe taps out.)
Winner: Allison Danger
(Opening.)
David: We are back in the Great White North, as MECCA brings you Ignition, live from Toronto, Canada! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight you will see Bryan Danielson defend the World Title against Nykk!
Dick: Also, guaranteed title shots are on the line as we see the finals of the Mixed Tag League when Austin Lee and Naomi Leach take on Ronin Fox and Shadow.
David: Plus the Briscoes take on the Pyro Twins, and a whole lot more.
("Kobrakai" hits and Anubis makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're getting right down to it as the Toughman Title is up for grabs in our opening contest.
Dick: Anubis has been making noise about challenging for the Toughman Title for weeks now, and tonight he gets his opportunity against his own tag team partner.
("This is Not My Life" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Anubis's plans to wrestle his partner were derailed somewhat when former champion Alan Mayse decided that the Toughman Title was just the thing he needed to turn himself around.
Dick: Alan was the first Toughman Champion, and has always felt he lost that belt unfairly, and now is his second chance at correcting that first title reign.
("Everyday Combat" by Lostprophets hits and the Wild Wolf makes his way to the ring.)
David: The Toughman Champion will have his hands full in this Triangle Match, but he is the Toughman Champion for a reason.
Dick: Anyone who can knock out Cynric to take that title is worthy of it. But Alan Mayse is a former champion, and it could be argued that Anubis is more suited to these style of matches than the Wild Wolf.
Triangle Match for the MECCA Toughman Championship: The Wild Wolf vs. Alan Mayse vs. Anubis
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Wolf hits a big boot on Alan in the corner, but then gets the Ankh Smash from Anubis. Anubis picks up Alan, but the ref is preoccupied with Wolf and Alan hits a low blow. He manages to give Anubis the Tiger Bomb, but Wolf rolls him backwards and hops down on top of Alan with a roll up, bridging for the three count.)
Winner: The Wild Wolf
David: The Wild Wolf escapes with his title, and that was some quick thinking on his part.
Dick: Great way to start off the new year for the singles career of the Wild Wolf.
David: Up next is a huge tag team grudge match. The Pyro Twins and the Briscoes have met many times, whether in triangle or mixed tag matches, but the Pyro Twins hold the only pure tag team victory over the Briscoes from back at Scared Stiff. The Briscoes want to avenge that loss right here tonight.
("Gimme Back My Bullets" hits and the Briscoes make their way to the ring.)
David: It's time for a big tag team grudge match, and the Briscoes are enraged that the Pyro Twins would cost them their tag title shot against their fellow House of Lords members.
Dick: The best way to stay alive in the tag team division for the Briscoes is to get the win tonight. But they haven't proven they can beat Jay and Dusty yet.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: Jay and Dusty have been instructed to keep the Briscoes away from Nykk and Fox at all possible costs, and they plan on continuing their dominance.
Dick: I'm sure they would love a shot at the tag titles themselves, but if there's one thing the House of Lords doesn't need right now it's dissension in the ranks.
(Before the Pyro Twins can get into the ring, the Briscoes dive over the top rope with stereo planchas. They continue the brawl on the outside of the ring.)
The Briscoes vs. The Pyro Twins
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Jay and Dusty hit Final Darkness on Mark, and Dusty covers. Jay Crowe moves to intercept Jay Briscoe, but he somersaults over Crowe's back and breaks up the pin. Crowe gives Jay Briscoe a DDT, and he and Dusty whip him into the ropes. They go for a double clothesline, but Briscoe leaps down on their arms, causing them to run into each other and knock heads. Mark dropkicks Dusty, and Jay Briscoe gets Jay Crowe on his shoulders. Mark leaps to the top rope and springboards back with a Doomsday Device. Dusty goes for a double clothesline, but the Briscoes duck and Jay gives him a half-and-half. The Briscoes ascend opposite turnbuckles and come down on Dusty with a shooting star press/guillotine legdrop combo. Mark covers Dusty and gets the three count.)
Winners: The Briscoes
David: The Briscoes have done it, and what a spectacular match we just witnessed!
Dick: The Briscoes have been on fire recently, and I don't think we've seen the last of them challenging for the tag titles by a long shot.
David: Coming up, Eddie Crowe finally gets his chance at revenge on Joey Sprinklers and Huh. He stated that he didn't want a partner, so he will be taking both men on in a handicap match. We'll see if Eddie Crowe can overcome the odds and walk away with the victory.
("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers and Huh make their way to the ring.)
David: Joey and Huh look nervous, despite having the numbers advantage in this match.
Dick: They just seem to keep digging themselves deeper and deeper with Eddie Crowe, but they do have a lot of experience as a team, and even as talented as Eddie Crowe is, it won't make up for lack of a partner.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Eddie was MECCA Champion for over a year before the House of Lords took that away from him. He's been spending most of his time since then fighting them, but it was Huh and Joey who have really gotten drawn his ire lately with all their sneak attacks.
Dick: Now Huh and Joey don't have the benefit of that protection, and Alan Mayse did not seem interested in the slightest at forming an alliance on Go Time.
Handicap Match: Eddie Crowe vs. Huh and Joey Sprinklers
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Eddie hits a charging dropkick on Joey in the corner, and he falls to the mat. Eddie pounds away on him, and the ref tries to pull him off, and Joey rolls away. Huh charges with an avalanche, but Eddie moves out of the way and Huh squashes the ref in the corner. Eddie kicks Huh and lifts him for the running brainbuster, but Joey comes in with a chair and cracks Eddie across the back. He drops the chair on the mat and prepares for Da Sprinklanator, but Huh wants to be the one to pin Eddie. They argue, and finally Joey DDTs Eddie onto the chair and places him on it. Huh goes up top and tries a moonsault, but Eddie moves and Huh slams into the chair. Joey wastes no time in unfolding the chair and setting it down. He whips Eddie into the ropes for a drop toehold, but Eddie jumps to avoid it and catches Joey's arm. He refuses to go over for a hip toss, so Eddie knees him in the midsection and gives him a brainbuster onto the seat of the chair. He then folds the chair and cracks Huh across the head with it. He applies the Crowe's Nest on Huh, and the ref wakes up to see him tapping and calls for the bell.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: Eddie Crowe has overcome the odds and gotten his revenge on Huh and Joey. That's part one of his journey back to the MECCA Championship.
Dick: What does this mean for the team of Joey and Huh? They just lost to one man.
(Eddie walks back up the aisle as Joey and Huh regain consciousness, holding their heads. Joey shoves Huh and asks him how the hell he could screw that up. Huh shoves him down in retaliation, and Joey leaps up, going after Huh. They pound each other with right hands, but when Huh headbutts Joey, he ends up knocking them both out, and they lay prone on the mat.)
David: It looks like this team has finally disintegrated, and though I try not to make light of any MECCA competitor's abilities, quite frankly, these two made a horrible team.
Dick: They never got along from day one, and the House of Lords isn't here to keep them in line anymore.
David: Up next are the finals of the Mixed Tag League, with guaranteed title shots on the line. Austin Lee and Naomi Leach will take on Ronin Fox and Shadow from the House of Lords!
("Third Reich from the Sun" hits and Ronin Fox and Shadow make their way to the ring.)
David: Shadow is the Ladies' Champion, and Ronin Fox is one half of the tag team champions, which means if they win tonight, they have the option of taking a guaranteed future title shot or vetoing any competitor to challenge them for as long as they hold their championship.
Dick: They beat the teams of Kevin Stone and Heather Star and Daizee Haze and Matt Sydal to make it this far, and Shadow has already made it known that she plans on vetoing Naomi Leach if she wins tonight.
("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee and Naomi Leach make their way to the ring.)
David: Austin and Naomi defeated Nykk and Lisa Letty and Sara Del Rey and the World Champion Bryan Danielson to make it to the finals, but you have to wonder if Naomi is at a hundred percent after that attack by Shadow on Go Time.
Dick: The House of Lords desperately wants to rebound, and they consider this tournament key in doing so. And they will do anything they can to make it happen.
Mixed Tag League Finals: Austin Lee and Naomi Leach vs. Ronin Fox and Shadow
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(FINISH: Lee and Leach go for the Spike Degenerate Driver, but Shadow knocks Naomi out of midair with the Interceptor, and Fox counters into a hurricanrana on Lee. They get up, and Fox plants Austin with the Tail End. As he's putting the bad mouth on him, Naomi ducks a clothesline from Shadow and gives her an enzugiri, causing her to go down and accidentally bowl into Fox from behind. He sails through the ropes, and Naomi bounces off the ropes, diving into Shadow and hooking in the Leach Hold with one motion. After a few moments, Shadow taps out.)
Winners: Austin Lee and Naomi Leach
David: Austin Lee and Naomi Leach overcome the House of Lords and win the Mixed Tag League! Now they can have any title shot they want!
Dick: And you can be sure that Naomi will be knocking on Shadow's door real soon, especially since she proved that she can make her tap right here tonight.
(Austin and Naomi embrace as Fox and Shadow sulk up the aisle.)
David: The House of Lords has been failing all over tonight, and only Nykk can save them if he wins in the main event. But up next, a tag team grudge match as the Surgeons, with their newly acquired manager Prince Nana, take on former tag team champs Delirious and Matt Sydal.
("Lava" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring, along with Prince Nana.)
David: Nana debuted at the end of last year, and the real life prince from Ghana announced that he had bought out the contracts of Matt Stryker and John Walters from Medea Knight, and was now their manager.
Dick: They've had some success since then, but Nana still needs to prove himself a capable force in their careers.
("Clavicle" hits and Matt Sydal and Delirious make their way to the ring.)
David: Nana didn't appreciate the way Delirious mocked him and chased him off during a six-man tag at the third anniversary, so he decided to get in Delirious's face about it and have the Surgeons attack him. Thankfully, Matt Sydal was nearby.
Dick: Delirious has a score to settle for sure, and they also want to keep in the tag title hunt.
Delirious and Matt Sydal vs. The Surgeons
Referee: Mike Neff
(FINISH: Nana gets on the mic to distract Delirious as he nails Walters with the Panic Attack. Delirious goes after him and chases him all around ringside. However, Stryker is waiting around one of the corners and nails Delirious with the ring bell. In the ring, Sydal takes Walters over with a headscissors, but an enzugiri gets ducked. Walters misses an elbow, and Sydal hits a standing moonsault. He gets a two count when Nana pulls him off by the boot. Sydal confronts Nana, but Walters is up and executes a rollup, segueing right into a lungblower. Stryker gets back in, and they hit Bad Medicine on Sydal. Walters covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Surgeons
David: Nana has done it again, and the Surgeons now have a victory over former tag team champions.
Dick: Nana's all about what makes him the most money, and that would be his guys at the top of the tag team division with the belts.
David: Up next is an Anything Goes Match, as Kevin Stone finally gets a chance at revenge on Jamie Chan. However, Bill Bicknell is standing by right now with the World Champion.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Bryan Danielson.)
Bill: Bryan, you have turned back the challenge of every House of Lords member you've stepped into the ring with except one. Tonight, you put the title on the line against the most dangerous of them all, Nykk.
Danielson: And what's so different about Nykk? Is it because he's one of the toughest opponents I will ever face? So were Ronin Fox and Eddie Crowe. Is it because he's known to be able to hurt people and put them out at his whim? So were Kevin Stone and the Pyro Twins. Nykk is a complete package, but as I've proved in the past, a small package can beat a complete package any day. I didn't spend months fighting the House of Lords only for them to get back the very belt that I took from them. Nykk, it's quite simple. If I don't pin you, I'll make you tap. If you don't tap, I will knock you out. The best wrestler in the world is staying exactly that. At End of the Line we struck a fatal blow to the House of Lords, and tonight, the House of Lords finally dies when I beat you and end this.
(In the arena, "On the Speedway" hits and Jamie Chan makes his way to the ring, carrying a kendo stick.)
David: The American Dragon is confident tonight, but right now it's time to throw the rulebook out the window. Jamie Chan has been stepping into the ring with the top tier of MECCA competitors recently, but has been unable to win. He seems to have focused on Kevin Stone, and put him out not once, but twice with that kendo stick to ensure that Kevin sought another match with him.
Dick: We know that Chan is one of the fastest men in MECCA, but tonight we'll see how well he does in a hardcore environment.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: The MECCA Monster doesn't care if Chan wants to make a name for himself, he just wants some payback, plain and simple.
Dick: You don't do that to a man like Stone without expecting some kind of retribution, and I'm sure there will be an abundance of it in this match.
(Chan tries a pescado over the top on Stone like the Briscoes did earlier, but Stone just catches him and throws him back into the first row with a fallaway slam as the bell rings.)
David: We're already off and running, and Stone hasn't even stepped in the ring yet!
Anything Goes: Kevin Stone vs. Jamie Chan
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Throughout the match, the dirty looking man from Go Time is spotted in the audience, yelling at Kevin Stone. He eventually disappears as security starts to block the parameter of the ring. Meanwhile, Chan goes for the Falling Dragon on Stone, but he moves out of the way. Stone hits a big boot and then picks up the kendo stick. He swings and misses, and Chan manages to kick the stick back into his head. Chan takes the kendo stick and whacks Stone over the head with it a couple of times. However, Stone ducks a third swing and gets behind Chan, choking him with it. He puts him in a sleeper with the kendo stick assist, but Chan won't allow himself to be lifted off his feet. Chan eventually escapes and pushes Stone into the ropes. He tries a leapfrog, but Stone canes him in the nuts. As Chan holds himself, Stone locks in the sleeper and tries to lift him off his feet. Chan still resists, so Stone finally throws him backwards with a sleeper suplex, dropping Chan straight on his head. Chan goes limp, and Stone covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: Oh my God! Chan may be paralyzed! What a nasty fall!
Dick: He sure proved a lot hanging in there with Stone for so long, though. But at what price?
(The ref waves EMTs into the ring, and even Stone appears to be concerned. Finally, Chan comes to and the EMTs are able to help him from the ring. As Stone leads the crowd in applauding Chan, the dirty fan in the crowd suddenly reappears, his fists wrapped in barbed wire. He charges the barricade, and security gets out of the way. He jumps in the ring and ambushes Stone with right hands, immediately busting him open. He screams like an animal as he unravels the barbed wire from his hand and wraps it around Stone's throat. An army of security and police officers hit the ring as the man lets go of Stone, punching himself in his own head with the barbed wire.)
David: This fan has once again disrupted the show, and now he's gone too far. He's jumped the guardrail and bludgeoned Stone. Someone get this guy, please!
Dick: Oh, God, I think I know who this is, David. Have you ever heard of the Necro Butcher?
David: The Necro Butcher is here in MECCA?
Dick: I don't know!
(Finally, the cops subdue Necro and put him in handcuffs. They take him away as he bellows like a caged animal.)
David: That's right, get him out of here. He is not a part of MECCA. Ladies and gentlemen, up next is the main event. Nykk and Bryan Danielson have a storied feud here in MECCA, but tonight the big prize is on the line. Will it be redemption for the House of Lords as Nykk regains the MECCA Championship, or will the best wrestler in the world continue his dominant reign?
(The music from the Internet video of some German kids badly playing "The Final Countdown" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring, looking greasier than usual.)
David: What is... oh. I see Nykk isn't going to take this seriously tonight.
Dick: He looks like he just got out of the shower. What is the leader of the House of Lords up to?
(Europe's "Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: Well, there's the real music, and it belongs to our World Champion, the American Dragon.
Dick: Nykk looks like he's doing everything he can to throw Danielson off his game. We know how seriously Dragon takes this business.
Jared: Ladies and gentlement, this is your main event of Ignition! This contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger...
(Nykk whispers something in Schrunk's ear.)
Jared: From... the northwest section of south central Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 225 lbs... he is one half of the current MECCA World Tag Team Champions... this iiis Nyyyyykk! His opponent...
(Danielson whispers something in Schrunk's ear.)
Jared: From Aberdeen, Washington, and weighing in at 190 lbs... and the best wrestler to ever beat every single member of the House of Lords, including Nykk tonight... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... the American Dragon Bryaaan Danielsoooon!
MECCA World Championship: Bryan Danielson vs. Nykk
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Nykk goes for Howling Moon I, but Danielson escapes onto his back and brings him down to the mat. He lays in the lethal elbows to Nykk's head, but Nykk manages to roll through and lift Danielson into a fireman's carry. He gives him a rolling Samoan Drop, and then goes to the top rope. He goes for the Swan Splash, but Danielson turns and catches Nykk in a triangle choke as he comes down. Danielson lays in more elbows to the top of Nykk's head, but he manages to counter the triangle choke into the Cedarleaf. Before he can fall back with the Limit Break, Danielson manages to make it to the ropes. Nykk lets go, and kicks Danielson as he gets to his feet. Nykk backs up, but charges into a European uppercut. He charges again, but gets a roaring forearm. Nykk gives him a hard forearm of his own, and Danielson bounces off the ropes. He gives Nykk a headbutt, and Nykk bounces off the ropes to give Danielson another forearm. Danielson bounces off the ropes for another headbutt, but Nykk ducks behind him and goes for the Trinity. He gets the back suplex, but Danielson blocks the German and gets the go-behind, hitting a tiger suplex. He tries to segue into Cattle Mutilation, but Nykk rolls through. Since he has Nykk helpless, Danielson starts laying in headbutts to the back of the head while he's seated and with his arms trapped. Nykk manages to drop back and take Danielson over with a victory roll. He rolls through and hooks in the Swinging Cedarleaf, segueing right into the Bodybreaker. Danielson can't make it to the ropes and is finally forced to tap out.)
Winner: Nykk
David: No, no, I don't believe it! Nykk has regained the MECCA Championship for the House of Lords!
Dick: After all these months, it was Nykk who was finally able to dethrone the American Dragon, and this now makes him a double champion.
(Ronin Fox, the Pyro Twins, Lisa Letty and Shadow come out to celebrate with Nykk.)
David: I can't believe this. He did exactly what he said he would do, and that's beat Bryan Danielson. But can Nykk hold onto the belt with so many challenges ahead? Thank you for joining us tonight, fans, and we'll see you on Go Time!
