Countdown Match: Daizee Haze vs. Shadow
Referee: Rya Zeh
(FINISH: Shadow goes for the Interceptor, but Daizee ducks and bounces off the ropes to hit a Yakuza Kick. She covers, but Shadow gets a foot on the bottom rope. Daizee sets her up for the Mind Trip, but Shadow pushes her into the ropes. Daizee dives at Shadow, who lifts her wheelbarrow style, and Daizee hits the Daizee Cutter. She rolls Shadow up with the victory roll to get the three count.)
Winner: Daizee Haze
("This Is Who We Are" by Hawthorne Heights Opening.)
David: We are here live on the West Coast, as MECCA presents the third annual Punked Out from right here in San Francisco, California! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight a former champion will attempt to regain the belt he lost over a year ago as Kevin Stone challenges Ronin Fox for the World Title!
Dick: Also, Bryan Danielson and Nykk will settle their score once and for all and this time there will be no flukes, and it will be two out of three falls!
David: Plus we'll have the Eight-Man Throwdown where the winner earns a shot at the title at Summertime Showdown, plus three other titles will be on the line right here tonight.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: We're kicking things off with our Toughman Title match, and Cynric will take on his perennial rival here in MECCA.
Dick: Ki and Cynric are both martial artists, but Cynric wants to prove to be the better man and take the title back to the House of Lords.
("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Ki has already demolished Joey Sprinklers on his way to becoming champ, and also demolished Huh in a subsequent title defense. But Cynric is a whole different animal.
Dick: The Chief Assassin of the House of Lords is no one to look past, but if anyone is up to the challenge of being Toughman Champion, it's Low Ki.
MECCA Toughman Championship: Low Ki vs. Cynric
Referee: Matt Hitchcock
(FINISH: Ki goes for the Krush Rush, but Cynric escapes and pushes Ki into the turnbuckles. He hits a German suplex with a bridge for a two count. He calls for the Lift Off, but Ki rolls and then hits Cynric with a rolling koppo kick. Ki goes for a Lift Off of his own, but Cynric ducks the knee. Ki lands on the mat and kicks back on Cynric's head, knocking him down. Ki takes him over with a rolling clutch and gets a quick three count.)
Winner: Low Ki
David: Low Ki remains the Toughman Champion after some quick thinking on his part.
Dick: Cynric was probably the House of Lords' best hope to take down Low Ki in this toughman environment, but it didn't pan out.
David: Up next, Eight-Man Throwdown begins. The eight participants in this series were randomly selected into two teams. The winners of this eight-man tag will go on to face each other in a Four Way Dance later tonight. Whoever wins through to the end and is the sole survivor, will go on to Summertime Showdown to challenge for the MECCA World Championship.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse, Andy Nathans, Delirious and Joey Sprinklers make their way to the ring.)
David: This is definitely a random team, and it's interesting to note that the drawing has broken up Nathans and Fletcher, who will not be able to function as a team during this match.
Dick: And Joey seems to be in it for no other reason than to keep Eddie Crowe from winning.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe, Jack Fletcher, Tristan Lee and Matt Sydal make their way to the ring.)
David: Another interesting fact to note is though Fletcher and Nathans have been separated, Fletcher and Lee are still on the same team.
Dick: And Sydal and Eddie teamed together to qualify for this match. Eddie's team may just have the slight advantage here as far as teamwork, but don't forget the bad blood between Sydal and the UK Wrecking Crew.
Eight-Man Throwdown: Alan Mayse, Delirious, Joey Sprinklers and Andy Nathans vs. Eddie Crowe, Jack Fletcher, Tristan Lee and Matt Sydal
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Alan and Eddie finally face off in the middle of the ring, and start to trade right hands. Eddie gets the better of the exchange and whips Alan into the ropes. He drops down, but gets nailed with a running dropkick on the rebound. He whips Eddie into the corner, but it's reversed and Eddie nails a running dropkick of his own. He goes for a running brainbuster, but Alan escapes and kicks him. He goes for the Tiger Bomb, but Eddie backdrops him. Alan lands on his feet and bounces off the ropes, where Delirious makes the blind tag. Alan slides beneath Eddie's legs, and Delirious rolls him up with an inside cradle as he bends over to grab Alan for a two count. Lee and Fletcher come in and throw Delirious out of the ring, and Nathans comes in to clothesline both of them. Joey and Sydal fight on the apron as Eddie goes to the top rope. Joey pushes Sydal into Eddie. That allows Nathans to leap to the to the top rope and take Eddie off with London Bridge is Falling Down. Eddie bounces to his knees and almost to his feet, only to be hit with Shadows Over Hell by Delirious, who covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: Alan Mayse, Andy Nathans, Delirious and Joey Sprinklers
David: We have our final four for later on, and that was some quick thinking by Joey, who has succeeded in his task to keep Eddie out of the Four Way Dance later.
Dick: It's not over yet for these four competitors, who are all now opponents later on.
David: Up next, we have a match that is nineteen months in the making. At No Regrets 2005, it was Gail Kim who ended Lisa Letty's title reign and proceeded to hold the title for over seven months. Now Lisa has regained that title, but will lightning strike twice? Gail is coming off a lot of momentum from winning the Women's World Cup at the MECCA Challenge III, but Lisa insists that the fact that she's the champ makes her the best women's wrestler in the world. These two were instrumental in building MECCA's ladies' division, and tonight they settle up.
("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)
David: Gail is riding a huge wave of momentum, and it was a year ago that she lost the Ladies' Title to LuFisto in a brutal hardcore match.
Dick: She's been waiting for an opportunity like this ever since, and she plans on turning the negative of waiting a year into a positive of finally regaining the title.
("Serve the Shame" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Lisa has been booed across the country since it was revealed that she convinced her boyfriend Nykk to form the House of Lords. However, that alliance has paid off for her, as she is now a record setting three-time Ladies' Champion.
Dick: She has quite a test in front of her though, facing off against the woman who dethroned her last time she held the title.
MECCA Ladies' Championship: Gail Kim vs. Lisa Letty
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(FINISH: Lisa goes for the Clockstopper, but Gail escapes and manages to apply the Christo. Lisa swings her around, ramming her head into the turnbuckle and trying everything she can to shake her off, but Gail holds on and Lisa finally falls to her knees. She rolls to her stomach, and the ref drops her hand twice. On the third try, Lisa keeps her hand up, and finally manages to get a foot across the bottom rope. Gail lets up and Lisa unties her boot. As she picks Lisa up, Lisa ties her shoelaces to the bottom rope. Gail sends Lisa into the ropes, and moves to charge, but can't since she's stuck to the bottom rope. She and the ref untie the shoelaces, and Lisa rolls up Gail, getting a close two count. Lisa charges Gail and slides beneath her legs, catching an arm and standing up. She executes the Clockstopper, and Gail lands right on her head. Lisa covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Lisa Letty
David: Lisa Letty really did it. She put away Gail Kim and is still the Ladies' Champion.
Dick: What a hard fought match, but I guess now the question of who's the best is settled.
David: Up next, a grudge match that has been building for nearly six months. Nykk and Bryan Danielson both have one win apiece over the other, and tonight they settle their rivalry in a Two out of Three Falls Match.
(A quick video package is shown highlighting the Nykk/Danielson feud.)
(In the arena, "Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk's creation, the David Caldwell Project, led to this feud when Caldwell got out of hand and Danielson supposedly joined him after a frustrating title match loss to Eddie Crowe. We would find out later it was only a ploy, and Danielson cost the Project their most crucial match while Nykk formed the House of Lords that very same night.
Dick: But this goes farther than that. These are two of the best out there right now, and for Dragon, a future title shot may hang in the balance.
("The Final Countdown" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: The American Dragon has now been accepted and beloved by fans for turning on the David Caldwell Project and continuing the fight against Nykk. He is in a much different place than he was a few months ago.
Dick: It's been gold whenever these two have stepped into the ring together, and with each man wanting to win two falls straight, we have a true opportunity to see who the better athlete is at this time.
Two out of Three Falls Match: Bryan Danielson vs. Nykk
Referee: David Bowers
(Fall 1 FINISH: Nykk tries like hell to lock on some variation of the Cedarleaf, but Danielson fights him off. Nykk goes for the Swing Version, but Danielson rolls through and throws Nykk off with his legs. He gets up and hits a roaring forearm on Nykk, followed by a Regalplex for a two count. He tries to segue into Cattle Mutilation, but Nykk makes it to the ropes. Danielson picks Nykk up, but gets poked in the eyes. Nykk bounces off the ropes, but gets headbutted in the face by Danielson. Nykk retaliates with a European uppercut, and Danielson staggers back but then charges with a headbutt. This goes on for a while until Danielson gets the better of Nykk and bounces off the ropes to hit him with a European uppercut of his own to send him down. Danielson goes to the top rope and tries a missile dropkick, but Nykk catches him and locks in the Cedarleaf. Danielson goes for the ropes, but Nykk is able to pull him back to the center of the ring and lay back for the Limit Break. Danielson quickly taps out.)
Winner: Nykk
David: The struggle for the first fall is over, and it was Nykk who came out on top. Danielson had no choice but to tap, or risk screwing up his back for the next fall.
Dick: He realized that Nykk had him with that Limit Break, which no one has ever been able to escape.
(Fall 2 FINISH: Nykk is relentless with his assault on Danielson's back now, giving him a snap suplex and then a pendulum backbreaker, covering for a two count, then removing a turnbuckle pad while the ref's back is turned. He goes for the Cedarleaf again, but Danielson hooks his head and powers himself into the air, dropping down and slamming Nykk's face into his knees. He gives Nykk a snap butterfly suplex, and Nykk gets up in the exposed corner. Danielson charges in with a running elbow, but Nykk moves and Danielson crashes into the turnbuckle. Nykk goes for the Trinity and gets the back suplex and the German. He goes for the dragon, but Danielson escapes behind Nykk and locks in the Crossface Chickenwing. Nykk struggles to reach the ropes, but Danielson jumps on his back to try and take him down. Nykk rams Danielson back first into the turnbuckles. Danielson loosens the hold and Nykk tries to throw him forward, but Danielson hangs on and gets the hold on Nykk on the mat. Nykk fights it, and manages to reach the ropes. Danielson releases, and Nykk won't let go of the ropes. When Danielson moves in, Nykk gives him a drop toehold into the second turnbuckle. He picks Danielson up in a fireman's carry for the rolling Samoan drop, but as he starts to run forward, Danielson starts laying elbows into Nykk's head. Nykk staggers, but goes ahead with the move anyway, but that just puts Danielson in perfect position to keep nailing elbows. Nykk is out, and the ref pulls Danielson off and calls for the bell.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: The American Dragon has tied it up, and Nykk may be out!
Dick: He still has one fall to go, but if Danielson has knocked him out, it may be easy pickings for him now.
(Fall 3 FINISH: Nykk struggles to regain his equilibrium and avoid Danielson's trademark moves. He counters Cattle Mutilation by pushing Danielson into the ropes and rolling him up with a small package. Danielson rolls over on top of Nykk for a close two count, and the two men roll across the mat trying to get the small package. They finally let up, and both are dizzy. However, Nykk walks right into a fireman's carry and Danielson calls for the airplane spin. He spins Nykk around about twenty times, and both men are even dizzier. Danielson tries to dropkick thin air while Nykk tries not to barf. Nykk staggers up and wanders right into a German suplex from Danielson, who bridges for a two count. He tries the elbows again, but Nykk powers up to his feet. Danielson goes for the Crossface Chickenwing again, but Nykk charges forward and drops down, ramming Danielson head first into the exposed turnbuckle. Nykk rolls Danielson up and puts his feet on the ropes for a very close two count. Nykk gives Danielson a tiger slam and goes for the Cedarleaf again, but Danielson flips Nykk over into a pinning predicament for a two count. Nykk lets go of the hold and they get to their feet. Danielson goes for a vertical suplex, but Nykk escapes and goes for the Okana Roll. He bridges back, but that allows Danielson to hook his arms and take him over into Cattle Mutilation in the middle of the ring. Nykk is too weak to try and make it to the ropes, and he ends up tapping out.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: Danielson has won the feud over Nykk, two falls to one, and I guess we have our answer about who's the best!
Dick: What a classic match we just witnessed, but the American Dragon has prevailed over the owner of MECCA.
(Nykk staggers back up the aisle, and Danielson taunts him by yelling "Best wrestler in the world!" at him.)
David: Up next, the MECCA Tag Team Championship will be on the line. It has been a long road for the Pyro Twins to work back into contention and they get the opportunity to regain the titles right here tonight. But the Killer Kanines are the hottest young tag team in MECCA right now, and they're not about to relinquish the belts they've dominated for so long.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: Jay and Dusty have been involved with a singles series with the champs over the course of the last two weeks on Go Time. Though Dusty was able to beat the Wild Wolf, Jay fell to the monstrous Anubis this past week.
Dick: These teams are pretty evenly matched when you factor in size, agility and experience. At Punked Out 2006, it was the other way around, the Pyro Twins defended their newly won titles against the Killer Kanines, but the Kanines have matured quite a bit since then.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: Anubis and the Wild Wolf are two-time tag champs, winning the belts back in November and with only a brief interruption in their reign, have held them ever since.
Dick: These are the top two teams in MECCA right now. It doesn't get any bigger than this.
MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Killer Kanines vs. The Pyro Twins
Referee: Matt Hitchcock
(FINISH: The Kanines hit their fallaway slam/backbreaker combo on Jay as Huh wanders out to ringside. Anubis bounces off the ropes but Dusty trips him and pulls him to the outside, ramming him into the ring post. Wolf goes for the Kanine Kruncher on Jay, but Dusty breaks it up with a clothesline. They throw Wolf into the corner and go for Final Darkness, but Anubis intercepts Dusty with the Ankh Smash. Wolf ducks Jay's spinning heel kick and gives him a flapjack. He sets Jay on the top rope as Anubis ascends the adjacent corner. Wolf gives Jay a reverse superplex, but Huh gets on the apron and holds Anubis's feet as the ref is distracted by Dusty. Anubis is crotched on the top turnbuckle, but Wolf knocks Huh off the apron with a running big boot. However, he turns around and walks right into Final Darkness. Jay covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: I don't know what Huh was doing out here, but we have new tag team champs, and I don't think that Jay and Dusty wanted to win it this way.
Dick: He cost the Kanines the tag titles, but we don't know why.
(The Kanines tell the Pyro Twins what happened, and they're furious. They throw the belts down and tell Anubis to get Huh in the ring. Anubis walks over to the ropes, where Huh is standing on the floor jawing with fans. Anubis grabs him by the ears and brings him into the ring. Huh cowers away from the four men until Nykk, Cynric and Joey Sprinklers run out. They have a standoff with the Pyro Twins and the Killer Kanines, but Jay and Dusty suddenly turn on the Kanines, and the rest of the House of Lords move in to attack.)
David: Oh no, it was a setup! Nykk has gotten to the Pyro Twins!
(Joey gives Wolf Da Sprinklanator, and Huh goes up to the top rope and comes down on him with a moonsault. Meanwhile, Nykk and Cynric get Anubis to his feet and the Pyro Twins give him Final Darkness. Nykk gets a mic.)
Nykk: You didn't think you were going to go through the whole show without hearing from me, did you? Let me tell you, I have not been having a great night, but this almost makes up for it! Jay, Dusty, welcome to the House of Lords.
(He shakes hands with both of them.)
Nykk: I told you two a couple of weeks ago that you were the team I wanted representing this company as champions. And look what happens when you put a little faith in me, your old friend. Look at the destruction that we can cause! And Dusty, Jay, let me promise you, never again will you have to worry about working your way up the rankings. You're already the best tag team in the world, and you have nothing to prove. As I said...
(The Wild Wolf lunges at Nykk, but Cynric and Joey beat him down. Huh comes in with a chair and starts wailing away on his back with it. Anubis is up on his feet on the apron, and Nykk has Jay and Dusty attack him. He tells Joey to clear off the timekeeper's table, and Joey does so, pulling it out a ways also. The Pyro Twins get under Anubis's legs, and Nykk and Cynric grab his arms. They powerbomb him off the apron and through the table.)
David: What a sickening crash! The Pyro Twins and Nykk are back together again, and may God have mercy on all of us.
Dick: And with Ronin Fox and Cynric in the fold, Nykk has some of the most legendary names in company history on his side. Can anyone stop the House of Lords?
(Nykk, Cynric, Huh and the Pyro Twins back up the aisle and the Pyro Twins hold up the tag belts. Referees and officials help the Killer Kanines back to the dressing room as Joey grabs the mic.)
Joey: Now it's my turn to have a little fun! Fox, I love ya buddy, but I gotta say that I'd really love that World Title even more. Let's finish this Eight-Man Throwdown thing so I can take my place as numba one contenda!
("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)
David: The House of Lords grows ever stronger, as not only do they have the Pyro Twins but also the MECCA Tag Team Championship. But now it's time for someone, anyone, to attempt to take the belt away from Fox should he get past Stone later tonight as Eight-Man Throwdown concludes!
Dick: Delirious got the win in the eight-man tag, and he's looking to do the same in this match. He would definitely be an interesting contender to challenge Ronin Fox.
("Problems" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring.)
David: The UK Wrecking Crew actually got a tag team victory over Ronin Fox and Joey Sprinklers on Go Time this past week, and you can bet that's been eating away at the champ.
Dick: The UK Wrecking Crew is out to prove that they are the best faction in MECCA, and what better way to show it than if Nathans could take the MECCA World Championship.
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)
David: Out of all the men in this match, this is the man that Fox dreads facing the most. Even with Eddie Crowe out of the picture for the time being, it was Alan, Fox and Nykk who RCW was built around back when it was FPPVW.
Dick: Alan had the longest title reign of anyone in that promotion, a place where Fox could not win the title. Now roles are reversed, but Alan looks to change that come Summertime Showdown.
Four Way Dance: Alan Mayse vs. Andy Nathans vs. Delirious vs. Joey Sprinklers
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Delirious is the first man eliminated after Joey rolls him up and hooks the tights. A few minutes later, Joey and Nathans team up on Alan. They whip him into the ropes and put their heads down. Alan kicks Nathans in the face, and falls back to the ropes. Joey charges him, but gets caught and Alan gives him an exploder suplex over the top rope and to the floor. Nathans charges Alan, but Alan uses the ropes to backflip to the apron, kicking Nathans in the process. He gives him a springboard dropkick, followed by the Tiger Bomb for the pin. Joey tries to run from Alan, but Alan chases him and brings him back to the ring. He whips Joey back and for between the corners and follows up with a running dropkick, covering for a two count. He goes for the Tiger Bomb on Joey, but Joey rakes the eyes and escapes, hitting Da Sprinklanator. He covers, but Alan manages to kick out. Joey is furious, and goes to the top rope. However, Alan dropkicks the top rope and Joey falls to the mat, wrenching his knee in the process. Alan gives him a shinbreaker, and then lifts him to slam him down on the mat. He applies the Maysochist, and Joey taps out.)
Winner: Alan Mayse
David: Alan Mayse is going to Summertime Showdown to wrestle for the World Title, and Nykk and Fox won't be happy about this!
Dick: Alan wants to fulfill his destiny, and August 25 might just be his night. He already made a statement by beating one member of the House of Lords just now.
(Alan celebrates with the fans as Joey throws a temper tantrum in the ring.)
David: Up next is our main event, ladies and gentlemen. It has been over a year since Kevin Stone lost the MECCA Championship, and he's out to reclaim it tonight. He won a hard fought victory in the Supernova Spectacle in England to get here, but he's faced with the task of taking the title from the grasp of the House of Lords.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: The MECCA Monster absolutely crushed the competition when he was MECCA Champion until running through the roadblock that was Eddie Crowe. Now Stone has the chance to become the first two-time MECCA Champion.
Dick: Stone felt betrayed perhaps more than anyone by the formation of the House of Lords since he had grown particularly close to Nykk in recent months. Ever since he's been the recipient of numerous beatdowns, mainly perpetrated by Ronin Fox. He has his chance for payback right now.
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: Fox forever has the accolade of being the man to dethrone Eddie Crowe when it looked like there would be no stop to his title reign. Of course, he did so after Eddie already exhausted himself wrestling Nykk for twenty minutes and had no prior knowledge there would be a second match, but Fox is the champion nonetheless.
Dick: And they're doing everything in their power to keep Eddie from getting a rematch, but in doing so they had better not overlook other challengers, particularly Kevin Stone.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us live here in San Francisco and across the world on pay-per-view for Punked Out! This is your main event of the evening, and it is for the MECCA World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Monroe, Ohio, and weighing in at 265 lbs... he is a former MECCA Champion, the MECCA Monster Keviiiin Stoooooone! And is opponent... from Westminster, Colorado, and weighing in at 175 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Roniiiiin Fooooox!
MECCA World Championship: Kevin Stone vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Stone floors Fox with a big boot and then goes for a Stone Cutter. However, Fox counters with a reverse Tail End on the way down and covers, but Stone barely kicks out. Fox is irate, and Nykk comes out from the back to protest. Fox whips Stone into the corner and goes for Around the World in 18 Seconds, but Stone kicks him in the face and hits the Monster Bomb. He covers, but Nykk gets up on the apron to distract the ref. Stone goes over and slingshots Nykk into the ring, giving him a Stone Cutter off the top rope. As the ref tends to Nykk, Cynric enters from the crowd and tries a rolling koppo kick. Stone moves out of the way, but Fox gives him a low blow. Stone goes to one knee and Cynric gives him the Lift Off. Fox goes to the top rope and delivers a guillotine legdrop as the ref turns around. Fox makes the cover and gets the three count.)
Winner: Ronin Fox
David: Ronin Fox retains the title as Cynric and Nykk both interfere, and this is what we meant about any challengers having to fight the entire House of Lords.
Dick: They can probably keep the title on Fox as long as they want using tactics like that. What a ripoff for our fans here in California.
(Nykk and Cynric raise Fox's arms in the aisle as Stone wakes up and glares at them.)
David: What will be next for the House of Lords? We'll see you on Go Time, fans!
