Countdown Match: Daizee Haze vs. Coquette vs. Sara Del Rey vs. Shadow
Referee: Rya Zeh
(FINISH: Daizee sends Coquette out of the ring with a Yakuza Kick, and she and Del Rey duke it out. Daizee blocks a right and hits the heart punch, but Del Rey brushes aside the Yakuza Kick. She gives Daizee a back suplex and goes for the Royal Butterfly. Just as she throws her over with the suplex, Shadow comes in and nails Del Rey with the Interceptor. She rolls Del Rey out of the ring and covers Daizee for the three count.)
Winner: Shadow
("Our Truth" by Lacuna Coil opening.)
David: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first of MECCA's new monthly pay-per-views, New Dawn! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and tonight we see the owner of MECCA himself, Nykk, challenge Eddie Crowe for the MECCA Championship.
Dick: No one in MECCA has been able to beat Eddie Crowe for over a year now, but Nykk has never been granted a shot at the title. Tonight is his opportunity to dethrone Eddie and cement the House of Lords as the true power in MECCA.
David: Also tonight, Lisa Letty, our first MECCA Ladies' Champion, will try to regain the title that she made when she challenges Kelly Schweickart. Plus we have a mixed eight-person tag, and the tag titles are on the line right now!
("The Chase" hits and the Backseat Boyz make their way to the ring.)
David: Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere did not end their feud successfully against the Pyro Twins, but they had already been granted this match a month ahead of time, and quite frankly, their consistent win/loss record earns them this shot as much as any team.
Dick: The Backseats are definitely top contenders, but they're up against one of the hottest upstart tag teams in MECCA today.
("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)
David: The Killer Kanines have been dominant in the tag team scene since they arrived, and pretty much have been in the title picture since November.
Dick: The scary thing is, these two have only scratched the surface of what they're capable of, being relatively new to the business still.
MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Killer Kanines vs. The Backseat Boyz
Referee: Matt Hitchcock
(FINISH: Acid goes for the Yakuza Kick, but Wolf blocks him and pushes him right into the Ankh Smash from Anubis. Kashmere spears Anubis, but then gets doubled over with a kick from Wolf. He bounces off the ropes, but Kashmere lifts him into a fireman's carry. Wolf elbows his way out of it and hits the Twig Snap. Acid hits him with the Yakuza Kick finally, and tries to do the same to Anubis. He ducks and gets under Acid, taking him over with the ocean cyclone suplex and bridging for the three count.)
Winners: The Killer Kanines
David: The Kanines pick up another victory, and it was not the Backseats' night to become tag team champs.
Dick: The Kanines continue their dominant reign, and it's up to either the Pyro Twins or the Surgeons to win the next shot at them later tonight.
David: Up next is a grudge match between Kevin Stone and Joey Sprinklers. This was originally for the Toughman Title, but since Joey lost the belt to Low Ki on Go Time, it was decided this match should take place anyway, and Stone will get his shot at the title down the line.
("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring.)
David: Nykk has to feel foolish for bringing his old lackey Joey into the House of Lords because he was Toughman Champion, only for him to lose the belt the very same night.
Dick: Joey's eager to prove himself, but he has a tough rival to contend with tonight.
("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
David: The MECCA Monster has declared war on the House of Lords after being deceived by Nykk all those months, even forming a competitive team with him, and was the first to be recruited for Team MECCA to face the David Caldwell Project, which was fake opposition created by Nykk that got out of control.
Dick: Kevin has always been on the side of MECCA, but now that Nykk is the authority here in MECCA, for the first time Stone finds himself struggling against the company that he loves.
Kevin Stone vs. Joey Sprinklers
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Stone whips Joey into the corner and charges, but Joey gets his feet up. He gets on the second rope and takes Stone over with a hurricanrana, but then charges in and gets met with a big boot. Stone picks him up and hits the Monster Bomb, and then yanks him up by the arms and lifts him into a military press into a powerslam. Stone signals that it's over and whips Joey into the ropes, giving him the Stone Crusher. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Kevin Stone
David: Another unsuccessful night for Joey Sprinklers, as Stone sends a message to the rest of the House of Lords!
Dick: And what a message it was. He just obliterated Joey Sprinklers!
David: Unfortunately for Kevin, Joey was not Toughman Champion tonight, but he could certainly seek his shot from Low Ki whenever he wants to. Up next, we will determine the number one contenders to the MECCA Tag Team Titles.
("Body Bomb" hits and the Surgeons make their way to the ring.)
David: The Surgeons and the Pyro Twins have been arguing for a couple of weeks about who is next in line for a shot at the MECCA Tag Team Championship, and this match was made to determine that this past week on Go Time.
Dick: Stryker and Walters had a hot start in MECCA last year, but have stalled somewhat in 2007. This match could be the win they need in order to get back in contention for the titles.
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
David: The Pyro Twins certainly lay claim to being a top tag team after beating the Backseats at the MECCA Challenge III, and probably would have gotten the shot tonight if the Backseats hadn't already been promised the match beforehand.
Dick: Jay and Dusty are hell bent on becoming MECCA Tag Team Champions once again, and they look determined to get their chance right here tonight.
The Pyro Twins vs. The Surgeons
Referee: Matt Hitchcock
(FINISH: Stryker is whipped into the corner, and the Pyro Twins go for Final Darkness, but he rolls to avoid it, allowing Walters to charge in with a double clothesline. Walters throws Dusty out of the ring as Stryker lifts Jay onto his shoulders. The Surgeons hit the Human Error, but Dusty pulls Walters out of the ring and rams him into the guardrail. He gets back in just in time to break up the pin. He goes for a teardrop suplex on Stryker, but he escapes and lifts Dusty into a fireman's carry, giving him the Stryker Driver. He tries to suplex Jay, but he escapes and spins Stryker around, allowing he and Dusty to hit Final Darkness. Jay covers for the pin and Dusty prevents Walters from making the save.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: The Pyro Twins have their shot at the tag titles, and I can't wait to see them tear it up with the Killer Kanines!
Dick: What a match that will be, and what a match we have coming up next. The First Lady of MECCA, our first Ladies' Champion, challenges Kelly Schweickart.
Dick: In a way, it was Lisa Letty who was responsible for this whole House of Lords thing. Now she comes to reclaim the belt she hasn't held since November 26, 2005, and the power that comes with it.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: What a change in attitude for Lisa Letty recently. This is the same Lisa Letty who built the ladies' division and defended it against the likes of the Dangerous Liaison, but felt jilted by her friend Katie Piehl, feeling she didn't do all she could to help her and Nykk last summer.
Dick: The House of Lords has some powerful and influential people in their group, but to wield true power in MECCA they need gold. They had some briefly when Joey Sprinklers was Toughman Champion, but he screwed that up soon enough.
("Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)
David: It was a long journey for Kelly Schweickart to get to the Ladies' Title, and she finally accomplished that goal back in February. She has taken on all comers since then, but she's never had to face someone she considered a friend, like Lisa Letty.
Dick: Kelly has taken on the best MECCA has to offer, but this will be a true test of her title reign tonight.
MECCA Ladies' Championship: Kelly Schweickart vs. Lisa Letty
Referee: Nikki Alvarado
(FINISH: Kelly goes for the Kelly Cyclone, but Lisa moves out of the way and quickly applies the Letty Stretch. However, Kelly's flexibility allows her to roll through and end up on top of Lisa for a close two count. They get up, and Kelly gives Lisa a spinning wheel kick, followed by the standing 450 for a two count. Kelly picks Lisa up and goes for a hardway suplex, but Lisa escapes and pushes Kelly into the ref. Alvarado goes down, but Kelly elbows Lisa and then hops onto her shoulders, taking her over with a reverse rana. However, Cynric runs down to ringside and gets in the ring. He nearly takes Kelly's head off with a rolling koppo kick, and puts Lisa on top of her. Alvarado comes to and makes the three count.)
Winner: Lisa Letty
David: What BS! Kelly had Lisa, and Cynric interjected himself and made sure that Lisa won the title!
Dick: You can be sure he was sent out here by Nykk, and now because of the House of Lords we have a new Ladies' Champion, making Lisa the first ever three-time champ in MECCA.
(Cynric helps Lisa from the ring, and she's clinging to the title belt like a security blanket.)
David: The House of Lords is halfway to their goal of winning belts tonight. If Nykk can pull off the victory against Eddie Crowe later, they'll be in possession of half of MECCA's prestigious titles. Up next we have the first ever eight-person mixed tag match in MECCA history, as the entire UK Wrecking Crew takes on the team of Gail Kim, Matt Sydal, Delirious and the Human Tornado. These two groups have been going at it for weeks and tonight it comes to a head.
("Problems" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)
David: Andy Nathans, Jack Fletcher, Tristan Lee, Nikki Chandler... they make up the UK Wrecking Crew, and they're out to prove that it is their group that is the most powerful in MECCA.
Dick: This is the first time they'll be competing as a unit, and they plan on making the most of it.
("Cool" hits and the Human Tornado, Delirious, Matt Sydal and Gail Kim make their way to the ring.)
David: These four came together out of mutual disdain for the UK Wrecking Crew. Delirious and Tornado didn't appreciate getting ambushed on Go Time, Nikki Chandler is the one who attacked Gail Kim and destroyed her World Cup, and of course Matt Sydal's issues go a few months back.
Dick: This is a motley crew, isn't it? They'd better not let their hatred cloud their judgment here, or the UKWC will eat them alive.
Eight Person Mixed Tag Team Match: The Human Tornado, Delirious, Matt Sydal and Gail Kim vs. The UK Wrecking Crew
Referee: Keith Young
(FINISH: Kim and Chandler get the hot tags from Delirious and Fletcher. Kim clotheslines Chandler and then whips her into the ropes, giving her a back body drop. She goes to the second rope and hits a missile dropkick and covers for a two count. She goes for a suplex, but Chandler escapes and hits a neckbreaker. She goes to the second rope and hits a somersault neckbreaker and covers for a close two count. She protests to the ref and then whips Gail into the ropes. Gail slides underneath her legs and trips her. She then crosses the legs and rolls over into a leg grapevine. Chandler is about to tap out, but Nathans comes in and grabs Gail, throwing her out of the ring. Sydal springboards in with a spinning heel kick and the men all come in as a donnybrook erupts. Tornado gets backdropped to the floor as Kim comes back in. She applies the Christo on Chandler as Delirious misses Shadows Over Hell on Nathans. Fletcher and Lee clothesline Sydal over the top rope, and Nathans gets Gail off Chandler with a boot to the head as the ref tries to get Delirious out of the ring. Nathans sets her up for the Wrecking Ball, and Fletcher, Lee and Chandler all bounce off the ropes and come down on Gail with a triple headbutt. Chandler covers and gets the three count.)
Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew
David: The UK Wrecking Crew comes out victorious, and Gail Kim may have been victorious if not for that Triple Wrecking Ball.
Dick: The UKWC proved that they are the better tandem, but it remains to be seen if that will hold up when they go against the House of Lords.
David: Up next is our main event, and it will be for the MECCA World Championship. Nykk has decided that he will be taking the title shot on behalf of the House of Lords and he challenges Eddie Crowe, who has held the title for thirteen months. Eddie has never been able to beat Nykk before, and now is his opportunity to do it when it counts.
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Somewhat surprisingly, Nykk is out here alone, but that doesn't change the fact that there's already some dissension between him and Fox over this title shot business.
Dick: It's to be expected, and it looks like Nykk has changed the original plan of having Fox spearhead the group as MECCA Champion.
("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)
David: Eddie and Nykk have battled in the past and they've teamed in the past, but tonight the most important prize in MECCA is on the line.
Dick: You have to wonder just how healthy Eddie is after the beatdown he suffered on Go Time.
Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is for the MECCA World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Bellbrook, Ohio, and weighing in at 225 lbs... he is a former MECCA Champion, and the leader of the House of Lords... this is Nyyyyyykk! And his opponent... also from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 195 lbs... he is the current reigning and defending MECCA World Heavyweight Champion... Eddieeeee Crooooooowe!
MECCA World Championship: Eddie Crowe vs. Nykk
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Nykk wears down Eddie's neck during the match, but miscalculates going for Howling Moon III, and Eddie counters into a jawbreaker. Nykk backs into a corner, and Eddie gives him a charging dropkick. He hits the running brainbuster, and goes for the Eddie Dive. Nykk gets his knees up, but Eddie sees it coming and lands on his feet. He somersaults Nykk to his feet and kicks him directly in the face. He hits a German suplex with a bridge for a close two count. He goes to the top rope, but Nykk intercepts him. He goes up as well, and they fight on the top turnbuckle. Nykk lifts Eddie into a fireman's carry and turns around. He gives Eddie a top rope rolling Samoan drop, but is too stunned to make an immediate cover. He crawls over and drapes an arm across Eddie for another close two count. They get to their feet, and Eddie fires back with some right hands. He whips Nykk into the ropes and puts his head down, allowing Nykk to hit a tiger slam. He applies the Cedarleaf, and Eddie appears to be almost out. However, he does manage to drape one arm across the bottom rope, forcing Nykk to break the hold. Nykk picks Eddie up, but he suddenly springs to life and rolls Nykk up with an inside cradle, getting a surprise three count.)
Winner: Eddie Crowe
David: Eddie has defeated the leader of the House of Lords and owner of MECCA! What an accomplishment for our MECCA Champion.
Dick: Nykk fell for an old trick, one that he himself has used in the past with effectiveness. But Eddie looks worse for wear.
(Eddie is having trouble standing up in the ring and is clutching his neck, but is able to hold the title high. On the floor, Nykk grabs a mic.)
Nykk: Cut the music! Eddie, you may have gotten past me tonight, but believe me, the only reason you did is because you are not done! You see, the stipulation of that match a couple weeks ago was whoever scored the winning fall would get a shot against you tonight. And this is MECCA. We don't bait and switch, and we deliver on our promises. And in case you weren't watching, there were TWO people who got the fall in this match. So let me introduce your opponent for our second main event of the evening... ladies and gentlemen, Ronin Fox!
("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: What!? Wait a minute... it's true that they both got the fall, but it was agreed that Nykk would be the one to receive the title shot.
Dick: I don't know if Nykk is changing the rules or what, but it does kind of make sense.
David: This isn't fair. Eddie just wrestled fifteen minutes against Nykk, he's on the verge of collapsing, and he didn't know a damn thing about this!
(Nykk is harassing Jared Schrunk, telling him to announce the title match. Schrunk is confused, so Nykk takes back the mic.)
Nykk: Ladies and gentlemen, title match, Eddie is from Bellbrook, Fox is from Colorado, now ring the damn bell!
(The bell rings as Fox attacks Eddie, who crumples to the mat.)
Dick: Man, Eddie is in trouble.
MECCA World Championship: Eddie Crowe vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers
(FINISH: Fox dominates most of the match, but Eddie manages to fire back at Fox. He sends Fox down with a reverse elbow and then bounces off the ropes and hits a diving elbow. He goes to the outside and springboards in with a 450 splash, but Fox manages to kick out at two. He picks Fox up, but Fox rakes the eyes and tries for the Tail End. Eddie throws him off and kicks him in the midsection, hitting a Tail End of his own and covering for a close two count. He whips Fox into the corner, but Fox climbs the turnbuckles and goes for the Fox Fire, but Eddie moves out of the way. He gives Fox a running brainbuster and then goes to the top rope. He tries the 450 back splash, but Fox manages to move this time and Eddie hits the mat hard, clutching his head. They stagger to their feet and Fox hits the Tail End. He covers, but Eddie barely manages to kick out at two, sending Nykk into a fit at ringside. He gets on the apron, but the ref manages to get him down. Fox whips Eddie into the ropes, but Eddie instead sails over the top rope with a plancha onto Nykk. The ref starts the count, but Fox makes sure he doesn't get to ten. Eddie staggers to his feet with Nykk right behind him, and Fox dives at him with a tope. Eddie moves and Fox nails Nykk, sending him into the guardrail. Eddie whips Fox into the ring post and then rolls him into the ring. He goes for the Gutwrench Driver, but Fox somersaults out of it and grabs an arm, whipping Eddie into a corner. Eddie grabs the top rope to stop himself and turns around as Fox charges in and tries a clothesline. Fox ducks and jumps to the second turnbuckle. He vaults off into a Tail End on Eddie, planting him in the middle of the ring. Fox makes the cover and gets the three count.)
Winner: Ronin Fox
David: I don't believe this! Eddie Crowe's thirteen month reign as champion has come to an abrupt end thanks to the shenanigans of the House of Lords!
Dick: After over a year, it was Fox all along who was the man to dethrone Eddie.
David: It was a valiant effort by Eddie, but no one could withstand what he took. After wrestling a grueling fifteen minutes against Nykk, he went another twenty with Fox, but two Tail Ends were just too much and now his title reign has ended right here at New Dawn.
(Fox kicks Eddie's body out of the ring and snatches the title belt from the ref as Nykk enters the ring. He embraces Fox, and they celebrate with the title.)
David: I guess this was the plan all along. Pretend that there's dissension because that's what we all expect, then pull out Fox to win the title when the champion isn't even prepared for a match. We'll see you on Go Time, fans. Thank you for joining us, but I'm getting the hell out of here.
