Melee: 3/11/06

Louisville, KY

Dark Match: The Concession Dream Team vs. The Ballard Brothers
Referee: David Bowers (FINISH: The Ballards go for a double suplex on CB, but he counters into a double hangman's neckbreaker. Dreamo goes to the top rope, but starts to lose consciousness and sways dangerously. Medea Knight sets off the alarm clock, and Dreamo immediately jumps into a diving headbutt on Shane. CB hits the Xander Construction Crash on Shane and covers for the pin.)

Winners: The Concession Dream Team

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome to the Bingham Theatre right here in Louisville, Kentucky! This is Melee, presented by MECCA and live on FSN! I'm David Mills, and he's Dick Broccoli. We have a great six-man tag in the main event, as the EDJ takes on the team of the MECCA Champion Kevin Stone and the MECCA Tag Team Champions the UK Wrecking Crew.

Dick: Plus the Ladies' Title will be on the line as Kelly Schweickart gets her long awaited rematch with Gail Kim.

David: And before Nykk and Charlie Haas do battle in the MECCA Challenge on April 29, they chose each other's opponents for tonight. Nykk will take on Cynric, and Haas will take on Delirious! Plus much, much more tonight at Melee.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: The Wild Wolf and Anubis are looking for that elusive tag team title shot, and they're about to go through one very experienced team.

Dick: This will be the biggest test yet for the Killer Kanines, as they've never garnered a decisive victory over the Eccentrics.

("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)

David: I guess the Eccentrics have thought better of the plan they hatched on Go Time involving zookeepers and picnic baskets.

Dick: I doubt they've thought at all in a very long time.

The Eccentrics vs. The Killer Kanines
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Huh tries a moonsault, but the Wild Wolf crotches him on the top turnbuckle. He goes up and he and Anubis hit the Dog Catcher, but Cheesecake makes the save. He sends Wolf down with a hard right and then ducks a clothesline from Anubis to give him a lung blower. Anubis rolls to the apron and Cheesecake whips Wolf into the ropes. Wolf reverses and drops down. Anubis catches Cheesecake from the apron and gives him a spinebuster to the floor. Wolf bounces off the ropes, but Huh sends him down with a clothesline. He whips Wolf into the corner and hits a running avalanche. He tries a bulldog, but Wolf sends him right into the big boot of Anubis. Huh staggers, and Anubis charges and hits the Ankh Smash. Wolf applies the Kanine Kruncher, and Huh taps out.)

Winners: The Killer Kanines

David: Some superb teamwork by the Killer Kanines have given them their biggest victory yet over the former MECCA Tag Team Champions.

Dick: They were absolutely brutal in isolating Huh and dealing him the lethal blow. Cheesecake's back may be crushed after that spinebuster to the floor.

David: He may need some help getting to the back, so we'll take a quick commercial break. When we come back, we'll have the semi-finals for the Toughman Title!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's time for the semi-finals of the Toughman Tournament, and only two of these four men will make it to the finals at the MECCA Challenge. Acid comes into this match with a victory over Cheesecake in the first round, and a victory over Nykk and Charlie Haas in the quarter-finals.

Dick: The way this match will work is that when the first fall happens, the winner automatically advances and the loser is eliminated. It will then be a singles match between the remaining two participants for the last spot.

("My 7th Rib" hits and Matt Sydal makes his way to the ring.)

David: The high-flying Matt Sydal comes into this match with a victory over Cody Hawk in the first round, and over Dusty Schneble and Jack Fletcher in the quarter-finals.

Dick: This is a chance for young Sydal to break out right away in MECCA.

("Did My Time" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

David: All of these men are looking for their first title in MECCA, and Fox is no exception. He's arguably the most talented competitor in MECCA to not have yet held a title.

Dick: He proved that with a win over Huh in the first round, and beating out Eddie Crowe and Concession Boy in the quarter-finals.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

David: Alan Mayse is so popular with the fans, and another man who is talented enough to hold any title in this organization that he wants. He beat Shannon Ballard in the first round and Joey Sprinklers and Low Ki in the quarter-finals to make it here.

Dick: Alan has had a number of golden opportunities in the last few months, and this looks to be his last shot for the time being, so he'd better make the most of it.

MECCA Toughman Championship Semi-Final Match: Alan Mayse vs. Trent Acid vs. Ronin Fox vs. Matt Sydal
Referee: Keith Young

(The bell rings, and Ronin Fox gets on the apron. Young tries to tell them that there are no tags in this match, but Fox stubbornly insists that the other three fight. Acid, Mayse and Sydal look like they're about to go for a three-way lock up, but instead rush Fox and pull him into the ring. They start hitting him with right hands, and whip him into the ropes. Sydal and Mayse lift him into a double flapjack with a facebuster by Acid. Acid quickly covers him, but Mayse kicks him in the back. He tries a clothesline, but Acid ducks and kicks Alan. He bounces off the ropes for the Yakuza Kick, but Alan moves. He dropkicks Acid from behind, right into a spinning heel kick from Sydal. Acid and Fox roll out of the ring, and Mayse and Sydal slap hands before locking up. Mayse gets a waistlock, but Sydal throws him off and sweeps the leg, covering for a one count. They get up, and Mayse sweeps the leg and covers for a one count of his own. Sydal hooks both arms and floats over into a bridge for a one count. Alan knees him in the midsection and whips him into the corner. He monkey flips Sydal right into Fox, who plants him with a sitout powerbomb. Sydal kicks out at two. Alan hits Fox with right hands and whips him into the ropes. Fox slides between his legs and baits Alan as Acid gets back in the ring. Acid goes for a clothesline, but Alan ducks. Acid puts on the brakes, but Alan kicks him in the ass to send him into Fox. Fox gets up and shoves Acid, and Acid shoves him back. They both rear back, ready to hit each other, but Sydal and Alan make them smack heads with simultaneous dropkicks. They also get simultaneous roll ups for a two count. Sydal goes after Fox, but gets a drop toehold into the second rope. Alan whips Acid into the corner, but Acid reverses. Alan tips up, but Acid sticks his foot out and low blows Alan on the way down. He throws Alan out of the ring as Fox throws Sydal to the floor. Acid and Fox lay into each other, and Acid headbutts Fox to stun him. He goes for a vertical suplex, but Fox lands on his feet and counters with a hangman's neckbreaker. He covers and gets a two count. Sydal pulls Acid out to the floor and rams his back into the guardrail. He gets on the apron and springboards to the top rope, taking Fox down with a spinning heel kick. He hits a standing moonsault, but only gets two as Acid breaks it up. Fox rolls to the ropes, and Acid kicks Sydal once to bend him over, kicks him again in the face and then hits a roaring forearm. He applies the Acid Lock, but only has it on for a few moments when Alan gets back in the ring. He ignores the other participants and charges Acid, taking him down and hitting him furiously with his fists. A vicious fistfight erupts, and Acid escapes to the floor. He spits at Alan, and Alan kicks at him and spits back. He goes out after Acid as he tries to make his way up the aisle and hits him with a double axehandle. He rams him into the guardrail, but Acid gives him a knee to the gut. The fistfight continues and takes both men to the back. In the ring, Fox hits Sydal with forearms and whips him into the ropes. Sydal springboards backwards, jumping over Fox and landing behind him. Fox catches him with a back elbow and goes for a bodyslam, but Sydal escapes into an inverted facelock, and then drops the leg across Fox's chest. He covers and gets a two count. He goes for the Here It Is Driver, but Fox lands on his feet and bounces off the ropes, hitting a running dropkick. He gives Sydal a standard piledriver, and gets a close two count. He puts him in a reverse chinlock on the mat.)

David: Everyone wants to get the first fall, because they know they're safe after that. Right now, however, the only people eligible for that fall are Fox and Sydal, as Mayse and Acid are still brawling somewhere in the back.

Dick: We don't have a camera back there, but we're told that Acid is still running from Alan.

David: We have to take a quick commercial break, but we'll be sure to show you if anything significant happens. Stay tuned!

(Commercial Break)

(Back from break, Fox now has Sydal in a sleeper. Sydal is fading, as Alan and Acid make their way back to the ring through the crowd. Young drops Sydal's hand twice, but Acid reaches the ring and hits Fox with a diving forearm, knocking him off Sydal. Fox is pissed at Acid, but he takes a forearm from Alan when Acid ducks. Acid quickly covers Sydal, but Alan stomps on his head. Fox rolls Alan up for a two count as Acid brings Sydal to his feet. Sydal rams him into the turnbuckles with a shoulder thrust, as Alan and Fox trade right hands. Fox kicks Alan and goes for the Tail End, but Alan throws him off, and Fox catches Acid in a headscissors on the way down. Sydal dropkicks Fox, and Alan gives Sydal an exploder suplex. He goes for the Tiger Bomb on Sydal, but both Acid and Fox attack him. They put Sydal in a double headlock, but Alan comes up behind them and bangs their heads together. He gets under Acid's arm, and he and Sydal give them a double back suplex, bridging for the pin. They get a close two count, but both Acid and Fox kick out. Acid goes to the ropes and dumps Sydal to the outside when he comes over. Acid goes to the top rope and hits the Bad Trip onto Sydal. As they get up, Fox sends Alan down with a swinging neckbreaker and then bounces off the ropes, hitting a tope onto both of them. They get up as Alan gets to his feet. Sydal moves out of the way, but Alan springboards to the top rope and hits a bodypress onto Acid and Fox. Sydal slides back in the ring and bounces off the ropes, hitting a twisting moonsault onto all three opponents. He throws Fox back into the ring, but Acid follows him in and gives him a Blue Thunder Bomb. He goes to the top rope and gives Sydal a flying headbutt. He covers, but Sydal kicks out. Acid lands on his back just as Fox comes off the top rope with a guillotine legdrop. Alan then springboards in with an elbow smash on Fox. He covers, but Sydal comes off the top with a shooting star press to break up the pin. He puts Alan on the top rope and goes up with him. He hits the Cyclorama, but is slow to make the cover. As he gets up, Fox nails him with the Tail End, but in turn gets caught by the Yakuza Kick from Acid. Acid steals the pin on Sydal and gets the three count.)

David: The first fall of this match is over, and it was Trent Acid stealing the cover from Fox after he hit the Tail End on Sydal. This means that Trent Acid advances and Sydal is eliminated. Now it's up to Fox and Alan to figure out who takes the second spot in the finals.

Dick: Fox has to be hot at Acid for stealing that pin, but Acid was perfectly within the rules there.

(Acid rolls out of the ring and flips off Alan and Fox before heading to the back. Alan tries to get at him, but Fox attacks him from behind. He hits Alan with forearms to the back, and then bites him in the forehead. He snapmares him over and dropkicks him in the back of the head. He whips Alan into the corner, but is reversed. Mayse charges, but gets backdropped to the apron. He blocks a right hand from Fox and his one of his own. He hits Fox with a springboard dropkick, and signals for the Tiger Bomb. Fox won't let himself be lifted for it, and he counters into a modified northern lights suplex for two. He goes for the Fox Fire, but Alan plants him with a powerslam counter. He covers and gets a two count. Alan climbs the ropes, but Fox gets up and forearms him in the back. He goes up with Alan and tries to give him a top rope Tiger Bomb back into the ring. Mayse hooks the top rope with his leg and then backdrops Fox. However, Fox hangs onto the arms and takes Mayse down into a modified Tiger Bomb, causing Alan to land on his head. He covers, but Alan barely kicks out at two. Frustrated, Fox signals for the Tail End. He bounces off the ropes, but Alan doesn't go down to the move. Fox lands back on his feet, still hooking the head, and tries a brainbuster. Alan escapes and grabs a waistlock. Fox charges to the corner, but Alan rolls him backwards. They roll to their feet, and Alan goes for a German suplex. Fox flips to his feet, but sees Alan's back turned, so he lies down and pretends that the move hit. Alan pulls him up, but Fox rolls him up with an inside cradle. He gets a two count, but Alan reverses the cradle so that Fox's shoulders are on the mat, and gets the three count.)

Winners: Trent Acid and Alan Mayse

David: Alan Mayse takes the last spot in the finals of the Toughman Tournament! What a match that was!

Dick: That was complete chaos, but I think we have an early Match of the Year Candidate there.

David: The crowd is on their feet paying respects to Alan Mayse, who will now go on to the MECCA Challenge and face Trent Acid for the Toughman Championship!

(As Alan celebrates, Trent Acid comes back out and gets in the ring. He pokes Alan in the chest and jaws with him, but Alan slaps his hand away and starts jawing back very heatedly as some officials come in to separate them.)

David: Alan didn't appreciate that low blow from Acid earlier, and he'll have a chance to even the score and win gold on April 29. When we come back, the Ladies' Title is on the line right here at Melee!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: Kelly Schweickart feels that tonight is the night she become the MECCA Ladies' Champion, but she has some tough opposition ahead of her.

Dick: Kelly finally gets her rematch from Snowed In tonight. If anyone can beat Gail Kim, I'm sure Kelly, who got her first win in MECCA over Kim, can do it.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: Gail Kim has had a stranglehold on the belt since she won it on November 30, putting away challengers such as Lisa Letty and Zoe Alexander. However, she has yet to beat Kelly decisively in a title match.

Dick: I notice that the rest of the Dangerous Liaison is absent, and wonder if maybe Kim wants to prove that she doesn't need help to beat Kelly.

MECCA Ladies' Championship: Kelly Schweickart vs. Gail Kim
Referee: Nikki Alvarado

(FINISH: Kelly gives Kim a fisherwoman's buster and then goes to the top rope. She goes for the Kelly Cyclone, but Kim moves out of the way. She bounces off the ropes and goes for the Christo, but Kelly drops her to her feet and spins her around, giving her a hardway suplex. She covers and gets a close two count. She goes up the ropes, but Kim holds onto her foot from the mat. Kelly stomps her a few times, but Kim manages to give her a drop toehold. She tries to apply a submission, but Kelly quickly makes it to the ropes. Kim backs off, and Kelly clotheslines her. She goes up and finally hits the Kelly Cyclone, but Kim gets a foot on the ropes at two. Kelly drags her to the middle of the ring and brings her up, signaling for another move. However, Gail dropkicks the knee and Kelly goes down. Gail applies a 39 Stretch and Kelly struggles to get a foot on the ropes. She almost gets there, and then tries to roll backwards to escape, but Kim holds on. After about a minute, Kelly finally taps out.)

Winner: Gail Kim

David: What a heartbreaking loss for Kelly Schweickart. It seemed like she had Kim a couple of times, but the Sensation of Submission lives up to her name.

Dick: She was just better than Kelly on this night, that's all.

David: The rest of the Dangerous Liaison has to be ecstatic about this. Well, when we come back, the grudge feud of the past year continues. Joey Sprinklers takes on Low Ki when we return!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back, and Low Ki is here for blood.

Dick: I don't really blame him after the way Joey Sprinklers has been doing the equivalent of poking a sleeping bear with a sharp stick for the past month. He's getting really obnoxious lately.

David: Lately?

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring.)

David: Joey thinks the only way to move on with his career is to finally face and beat Low Ki. Every time they've faced off in the past, Joey has been terrified.

Dick: Joey did earn his first MECCA victory over Low Ki last year, but it was obviously a fluke. Now that he has a few more wins under his belt, he wants to see if he can beat a guy he's only been able to remain competitive with since.

Joey Sprinklers vs. Low Ki
Referee: David Bowers

(FINISH: Low Ki tries the Ki Krusher, but Joey escapes and hits a Gory Bomb. He gives Ki Da Sprinklanator, but only gets a close two count. Joey protests the count and shoves Bowers down when he says his decision stands. Joey picks Ki up and goes for Da Hit, but Ki gets on his back and applies a standing Dragon Clutch. Joey rams Ki into the turnbuckles and starts hitting him with rights. Ki pulls him into the corner and then hits an enzugiri. He gives Joey the Tidal Wave, and then hits the Ki Krusher. However, Joey barely kicks out. Ki can't believe it, and pie faces Bowers. Joey rolls out of the ring and Low Ki follows him. He throws Joey over the guardrail and starts kicking him in the crowd. Joey fights back, and when Bowers fails to get them back in the ring, calls for the bell.)

Winner: Double Disqualification

David: It looks like Bowers is throwing this one out, as these two can't seem to be contained by the rules tonight.

Dick: Sprinklers and Ki are out of control, and nothing looks like it was settled.

(Joey picks up a chair and cracks Ki over the head with it. He hits Ki many more times with the chair before Bowers takes it away from him.)

David: Look at Joey, showing no fear and taking it to Low Ki! We have to restore some order out here. We'll be right back with Charlie Haas and Delirious!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Liberi Fatali" hits and Charlie Haas makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Jackie.)

David: We're back here at Melee, and Charlie Haas is getting ready to face the opponent that Nykk picked for him a couple of weeks ago.

Dick: He and Nykk will meet in the MECCA Challenge on April 29, but for tonight, they were given permission to choose each other's opponents.

("Hybrid Stigmata" hits and Delirious makes his way to the ring.)

David: He's tweakin' out!

Dick: Delirious may not be much of a match for Haas on paper, but keep in mind he did pin him in a tag match a couple of weeks ago on Go Time. Nykk may have chosen well after all when he named Delirious as Haas's opponent.

Delirious vs. Charlie Haas
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Delirious clotheslines Haas off the top rope and covers for a two count. He whips Haas into the corner, but Haas counters with a wristlock and kicks Delirious. He goes after him, but Delirious baits him into running into the corner. Delirious hits him with repeated clotheslines, and then goes for Chemical Imbalance #2. Haas lands on his feet and kicks Delirious in the knee. He bounces off the ropes, but Delirious hits BAM! He goes to the top rope and hits Shadows Over Hell. He gets a close two count, but Haas kicks out. Delirious complains to the ref in gibberish, but Haas manages to clip the knee. He drags Delirious to the center of the ring and applies the Haas of Pain. Delirious taps out.)

Winner: Charlie Haas

David: Charlie Haas escaped with his pride as he just made Delirious tap.

Dick: Now it's up to Nykk to defeat Haas's selected opponent. Can you imagine the gloating on Wednesday if Nykk were to lose to Cynric now?

David: We'll have that match when we come back from the break.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric is the hired assassin of Charlie Haas, his choice to take on Nykk just over a month before they do battle in the MECCA Challenge.

Dick: Cynric and Nykk are very familiar with each other, but never underestimate Nykk's scouting. He's probably spotted weaknesses that Cynric doesn't even know he has.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Lisa Letty.)

David: Lisa Letty, the First Lady of MECCA, is at Nykk's side as always, but at least we know she won't try to get involved in this match.

Dick: We don't know that. Nykk's no angel, and we have no idea what they've been discussing.

Nykk vs. Cynric
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Nykk goes for the Trinity on Cynric, and gets the back and German suplexes. He attempts the dragon, but Cynric gets a standing switch and merely drops Nykk to the mat. He covers and gets a two count. He whips Nykk into the corner and charges, but Nykk gets his feet up. He gives Cynric a half nelson bulldog and goes to the top rope for the Swan Splash. Cynric crotches him on the top turnbuckle and pulls him off into the Shock Cannon. He covers, but Nykk gets a foot on the bottom rope. Cynric pulls him up, but Nykk twists around into a schoolboy roll up for a two count. Cynric quickly recovers and sends Nykk back down with a roundhouse kick. He goes for the Lift Off, but Nykk ducks the knee. Cynric lands with his foot on the mat and then kicks back with a leg lariat, knocking Nykk down. He covers and gets a close two count. Cynric tries the Lift Off again, but Nykk spins around him and finally hits the Trinity. He scoops Cynric up and gives him a vertical suplex onto the top rope, bouncing Cynric off right into a brainbuster. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Nykk

David: Nykk evens the score with Haas and pins his handpicked opponent right here in Louisville. Now it's onto the MECCA Challenge, where Nykk and Haas will face off to settle their feud.

Dick: Only a knockout or submission does that in the MECCA Challenge, and both of these guys are well suited for something like that.

David: When we come back, our six-man main event will take place. The EDJ, Eddie Crowe and the Pyro Twins, take on the MECCA Champion Kevin Stone and the MECCA Tag Team Champions the UK Wrecking Crew!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring. All three men have their heads bandaged.)

David: This six-man contest is going to be a war, given that this is the first time that the UK Wrecking Crew will be across the ring from the Pyro Twins since last February.

Dick: Dusty almost got his hands on Fletcher during the Toughman Tournament, but Fletcher managed to weasel his way out of wrestling the match.

David: And look at the bandages wrapped around the heads of these three. Fletcher and Stone took a vicious beating from the EDJ on Go Time, and Nathans got knocked out accidentally by Low Ki. They might as well have painted targets on their skulls.

("Fire" hits and the EDJ make their way to the ring.)

David: Eddie Crowe will be facing Kevin Stone in the main event of the MECCA Challenge for the MECCA Championship, and he actually holds a pinfall victory over Stone dating back to February 8 in that ten-man tag on Go Time.

Dick: Kevin Stone is more determined than ever to prove that he is the only dominant force in MECCA, and if it involves dismantling the EDJ piece by piece, he plans to do it.

The EDJ vs. Kevin Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew
Referee: David Bowers

(The bell rings, and Eddie starts the match with Fletcher. They circle, but Dusty wants the tag. Eddie obliges him, but as soon as Dusty steps in the ring, Fletcher tags out to Stone. Dusty tells him to tag one of the UKWC back in, but Stone just assaults Dusty verbally. Dusty shoves Stone, and he hits Dusty with a right hand. They exchange rights and forearms, and Dusty knees Stone in the midsection. He whips him into the ropes and drops down. He tries a monkey flip on the rebound, but Stone sees it coming. He drops an elbow, but Dusty moves. Dusty applies a wristlock and elbows Stone's arm. He whips him into the ropes, but Stone comes back with a clothesline and then hits a vertical suplex. He hits Dusty with some rights and then whips him into the ropes. Jay blind tags himself in, and Dusty slides between Stone's legs. Jay stands face to face with Jay and Stone tells him to bring it. Jay and Dusty give Stone simultaneous dropkicks, and then give him a double gourdbuster, followed by the Compactor. Jay covers and gets a one count. He tries a belly-to-belly suplex, but Stone claps his ears. He charges Jay, but gets caught with a spinning heel kick. Jay tags Eddie, and they whip Stone into the ropes. Jay and Eddie pick him up by a leg, and Dusty comes in, giving Stone a flying clothesline. Jay and Eddie turn Stone over into a double single leg crab, and Dusty bounces off the ropes to legdrop him in the back of the head. Jay and Eddie let go, and Eddie stands on Stone's back as the Pyro Twins bounce off the ropes. Eddie double stomps the back of the head as the Pyro Twins hit simultaneous dropkicks to the sides of the head. Eddie covers Stone and gets a two count when Nathans breaks it up. He gets out of the ring before the Pyro Twins can get their hands on him. Eddie picks Stone up and tries to lift him for the Gutwrench Driver, but Stone elbows him in the back of the head. He yanks Eddie down to the mat by his hair and tags in Nathans. Nathans stomps away on Eddie's head and whips him into the corner. Eddie reverses, and hits a charging dropkick. He follows up with a backdrop driver, and then bounces off the ropes to hit a somersault senton. He covers and gets a one count. He applies the cobra clutch and goes for a Russian legsweep, but Nathans wriggles free and pushes Eddie into the ropes. Eddie takes him over with a hurricanrana, and tags in Dusty. Once again, Nathans lunges for his own corner and tags in Stone. Dusty ducks a big boot and kicks Stone, hitting him with some knife-edge chops. He bounces off the ropes and clotheslines Stone to the mat. He tags in Jay, and Jay whips him into the corner. Stone reverses and charges, but Jay moves. He attempts the belly-to-belly suplex again, but Stone quickly lands back on his feet and headbutts Jay. He gives him a back suplex, and then runs over and shoves Eddie. Eddie and Dusty try to come in the ring, but Bowers holds them back. Meanwhile, the UK Wrecking Crew come in and stomp away on Jay. Kevin applies a reverse chinlock, but Jay fights his way to his feet. He elbows Kevin in the midsection and bounces off the ropes. Stone goes for the Stone Crusher, but Jay lands behind him and rams him front first into his own corner. He tags Eddie in, and he goes to the top rope. Jay and Dusty lift Stone for a back suplex, and Eddie comes off the top with a seated senton to take him down. Eddie covers and gets a two count. He whips Stone into the ropes, but Stone reverses. Fletcher trips Eddie from the outside, and Eddie turns around and yells at him. The Pyro Twins try to get in the ring, but Bowers stops them. Eddie walks into a big boot from Kevin that staggers him, and Stone lifts him into a Canadian Backbreaker. Nathans and Fletcher come in and hook Eddie's head and legs, and then all three sit out, jarring Eddie's spine. Stone covers and gets a close two count. He tags out to Fletcher, who lifts Eddie into a fireman's carry and then flips him over into a backbreaker. He tags Nathans, and they give Eddie the Crane Swing.)

David: The tide was turned when the combination of Stone and the UKWC hit their own tripleteam move, and the number one contender to the MECCA Championship is getting the tar kicked out of him.

Dick: The Pyro Twins have still not gotten their hands on the UK Wrecking Crew, and they're dangling themselves in front of them like a worm on a hook. The EDJ better be careful, because I don't think that Nathans and Fletcher are really scared of them.

David: We have to take our last commercial break. We'll be back with the conclusion of our main event!

(Commercial Break)

(Back from the break, Eddie is fighting his way out of a front facelock, but Fletcher comes in and trips him as he gets to his feet. Jay tries to come in, but it distracts Bowers. Stone comes in and stomps Eddie in the back. Eddie loses consciousness, and Bowers drops his hand twice. On the third try, he keeps his arms up and get to his feet. After a couple of tries, he lifts Nathans, but Nathans counters into a sunset flip. Eddie rolls backwards and dropkicks Nathans. He crawls to his own corner, but Stone comes in and distracts Bowers. Eddie makes the tag, and Jay goes after Nathans, but he pulls Bowers in between them. Bowers makes Jay get out of the ring, as Nathans and Fletcher give Eddie a double scoop slam. Stone drops a knee on him and covers for a two count. Stone waits on the second rope for Eddie to get up, and hits a flying clothesline. He tags out to Fletcher, who goes for the Union Jack. Eddie manages to break free and bounces off the ropes. He ducks a clothesline from Fletcher, Fletcher ducks a clothesline from him, and they hit heads on the rebound. They both go down and crawl to their corners. Eddie makes the tag to Dusty, who lunges for Fletcher. Fletcher tags Stone just before he bails out of the ring, and Stone pounds Dusty's back with forearms. He whips him into the ropes, but Dusty clotheslines him and then gets behind him, hitting a teardrop suplex. He calls in Jay, who gives Stone a backbreaker. Dusty goes to the top rope for the Mandate of Heaven, but Fletcher shakes the ropes and crotches Dusty as Nathans attacks Jay from behind. They beat on the Pyro Twins and bring them to opposite sides of the ring. They try to whip them into each other, but Jay and Dusty pass each other and go for a UKWC member. However, Nathans and Fletcher manage to get out of the ring. Meanwhile, Eddie dukes it out with Kevin and gets clotheslined from behind, followed by a big boot to the face. He moves in, but Eddie hooks his head and arm, and gives him a flatliner into the second turnbuckle. Stone gets up and gets a uranage suplex from Dusty. He staggers to his feet only to be dropkicked from behind by Eddie, right into the belly-to-belly suplex from Jay. Dusty lifts Stone into a powerbomb and Jay grabs Stone's head to hold him horizontal. Eddie goes to the top rope and hits the double stomp, and Jay and Dusty drop to their knees. They bring Stone back up, and Dusty turns him over into a flatliner from Jay. Dusty covers, but Nathans pulls Bowers out of the ring. Jay goes after him and manages to grab him by the hair, but Bowers tries to get between them. Dusty gets up and sees Fletcher on the other side of the ring. He goes for him, but Fletcher suddenly launches a fireball, hitting Dusty in the face. Dusty goes down holding his face, and Eddie rushes over to check on him. Fletcher takes the opportunity to nail Jay from behind, sending him through the ropes. He then tackles Eddie as Stone covers Dusty and gets the three count.)

Winners: Kevin Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew

David: I can't believe it! Dusty just got a fireball to the face! Someone get some help out here right now!

Dick: The EDJ had this match won, but the UK Wrecking Crew just crossed the line!

(Some EMTs come out and wrap Dusty's head in a towel. Jay and the EMTs rush Dusty to the back as the UK Wrecking Crew throw Eddie into the ring.)

David: Oh, what now? You three won the match, you just sent Dusty to the hospital...

Dick: I think this was the plan all along. Stone would help them take out the Pyro Twins, and they'd all take out Eddie once he didn't have any protection.

(They beat Eddie down, and the UK Wrecking Crew whips him into the ropes. They hit a double flapjack into a Stone Cutter. Stone gets the mic.)

Stone: Eddie... I am the MECCA Champion. You will never take this belt from me. Just like your precious Pyro Twins will never win the MECCA Tag Team Titles! You want more of this... all you have to do is show up on April 29. It's just a Stone's throw...

(Jay rushes the ring with a chair, and scatters the UKWC. Stone takes a chair to the back before the UKWC pull him out of the ring.)

David: Jay just saved his brother from certain doom, but the bigger story here is how badly was Dusty burned? Maybe we'll have an update by the time Go Time gets here, but we're out of time here at Melee. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills, and we'll see you at the MECCA Challenge!

(Jay yells at Stone and the UK Wrecking Crew from the ring as the Grenadiers come out and stand in front of them.)
