Snowed In: 1/21/06

Chicago Ridge, IL

("Neocon" opening.)

Dark Match: Lisa Letty and Zoe Alexander vs. Shadow and Misery
Referee: Rya Zay

(FINISH: Lisa hits the Letty Press on Misery, but Lisa's not legal and Zay refuses to count. Shadow throws Lisa out of the ring, and Zoe dropkicks Shadow through the ropes a few moments later. She ducks a clothesline from Misery and gives her the Zoetrope, getting the three count.)

Winners: Lisa Letty and Zoe Alexander

("Neocon" opening.)

David: Welcome, fans, to the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois! Tonight, MECCA presents Snowed In, live right here on FSN. I'm David Mills, and I'm joined as always by Dick Broccoli. Tonight, Cynric strives to silence all doubters and win the MECCA Championship from Kevin Stone.

Dick: But this is Cynric's only shot for the time being, as a result of losing his spot on the Contender Star this past week on Go Time.

David: Also, Nykk will take on Charlie Haas. Of course, Jackie will be in Haas's corner, and Lisa Letty will be in Nykk's corner.

Dick: Plus Eddie Crowe's quest for revenge continues. He faces one half of the tag team champions, Andy Nathans.

("Ironman" hits and Jack Fletcher makes his way to the ring, accompanied by the Grenadiers.)

David: But first, the other half of the tag champs will be in singles action in this unannounced match.

Dick: Fletcher wasn't going to let his partner get some action tonight without sampling some himself.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards to the ring.)

David: Both these men have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Toughman Tournament, and Joey won over Fletcher's partner Andy Nathans.

Dick: If Joey wins here, he'll have wins over both of the champs. That could put him in line for a title shot if he can get anyone to team with him.

Joey Sprinklers vs. Jack Fletcher
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Fletcher puts Joey down with the Union Jack, but Joey gets a foot on the bottom rope. Fletcher argues with Young, and pulls Joey up, only to get rolled up with an inside cradle. Fletcher kicks out and clotheslines Joey back to the mat. He places Joey on the top rope and goes up for a hurricanrana. Joey holds onto the top rope, and Fletcher backflips to his feet, bent over. Joey somersaults into a sunset flip and gets the three count.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers

David: Joey picks up the victory, and in the past month he's beaten both of the tag team champs!

Dick: Joey has vowed to start off 2006 better than he started off 2005, and he's managed to do it so far.

(Andy Nathans runs out and slides into the ring. He hits Joey from behind as Fletcher is arguing with the ref. They give Joey the Crane Swing, followed by the Wrecking Ball. "Ironman" plays and the UKWC exits, as several Grenadiers stay behind to hit Joey with billy clubs.)

David: Joey Sprinklers just got jumped by the UK Wrecking Crew and their Grenadiers. What misconduct shown by the MECCA Tag Team Champions!

Dick: You can't say he didn't deserve it, David.

David: How did he deserve that?

Dick: He's Joey Sprinklers! Are you telling me you've never wanted to kick him in the face a couple of times?

David: Point taken. Well, Joey's night ends worse than it started, and up next the Ladies' Title will be on the line.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Take It Off" hits and Kelly Schweickart makes her way to the ring.)

David: Kelly Schweickart is set to go for the Ladies' Title right here at Snowed In. She's even more enthusiastic than normal tonight, as she's excited at potentially becoming the fourth Ladies' Champion.

Dick: She's matured a lot as a wrestler over the last year, and it's time to see just how much she's learned.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: The Ladies' Champion is coming off a successful title defense against Zoe Alexander at New Year's Knockout, and if she manages to get by Kelly here, we have Go Time's Night of Champions coming up.

Dick: A champion's schedule is never easy, David. So far, Gail has held up well, and the Sensation of Submission plans on staying champion for a long time.

MECCA Ladies' Championship: Kelly Schweickart vs. Gail Kim
Referee: Nikki Alvarado

(FINISH: Kelly goes for a dropkick, but Gail manages to avoid it. She goes for the Christo, but Kelly plants her face first into the mat. She gives Gail a hurricarana for a two count, and then hits a spinning heel kick. She goes to the top rope for the Kelly Cyclone, but Gail intercepts her with right hands. She tries to throw her back into the ring, but Kelly pushes her away and grabs her hair, yanking her down to the mat. Kelly hits the Kelly Cyclone, but when she gets up, Shadow gets into the ring and hits her with the Interceptor. Alvarado calls for the bell.)

Winner: Kelly Schweickart

David: Kelly will win by DQ through interference, but that does not get her the title. What the hell is Shadow thinking!? I thought she was upset at Kim for not giving her the title shot!

(Shadow retrieves the belt and pulls Kim from the ring, helping her up the aisle. Kelly watches them go.)

Dick: Maybe Shadow's had a change of heart. Kelly had Gail beat, but because of this she gets to keep the belt and regroup for another day.

David: Kelly will most surely be given another opportunity at the Ladies' Title, but we have to take a break. When we return, Ronin Fox will be in action against Huh from the Eccentric Alliance.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Pajamarama" hits and Huh makes his way to the ring.)

David: We're back here at Snowed In, and the Eccentric Alliance is going to be represented by Huh in this match.

Dick: Huh "won" this spot on Go Time in the stupidest game of pick the shortest straw I've ever seen.

("Did My Time" by Korn hits, and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring. He's wearing a darker, black outfit and has his face painted around the eyes. His hair has also been dyed a more pure red.)

David: Look at this. This is a darker look than we're used to seeing from Fox.

Dick: His image is reflecting his mood, though he did win his way back onto the Contender Star over his own brother. But if Huh beats him here, he loses that spot as quick as he got it.

David: Fox did beat Huh in the first round of the Toughman Tournament, and I'm sure Huh wants to avenge that loss.

Dick: He has so many of those, he wouldn't know where to start.

Huh vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Huh goes for the moonsault, but Fox gets his knees up. He goes for the Tail End, but Huh throws him off and Fox lands crotch first on the top turnbuckle. Huh hits an electric chair suplex from the second rope and covers, but Fox kicks out. Huh tries to pick him up, but Fox holds onto the ropes. Hitchcock makes Huh back off, and Fox unties a turnbuckle pad. Hitchcock sees him and grabs the turnbuckle covering, going over to tie it back on. Huh forearms Fox and whips him into the ropes. He goes for the Windbreaker, but Fox lands on his feet and gives Huh a low blow. Huh falls to his back, and Fox spreads his legs, nailing him in the crotch again with a right hand. He bounces off the ropes and kicks Huh square in the nuts. Huh rolls over in pain, and Fox measures him and kicks him from behind in a fourth low blow. He covers just as Hitchcock turns around and gets the three count.)

Winner: Ronin Fox

David: Huh just suffered the most painful looking loss I've ever seen, and Fox is so happy about it. We need a doctor out here. It may sound comical, but Fox could have ruptured Huh's testicles. That's a very painful thing to happen.

Dick: What are you talking about? Fox decided to do the world a favor and make sure that Huh can never reproduce.

(Huh is still holding himself and screaming in pain. Fox goes to pick Huh up to inflict more damage, but Hitchcock gets in his face. Fox shoves him down and starts hitting Huh with rights. However, Cheesecake storms the ring and Fox slides out.)

David: Thank goodness for Cheesecake, coming to the defense of Huh's genatalia.

Dick: I'm sure it's not the first time.

David: Fox's war with the Eccentric Alliance continues, but Fox is still by himself. How much longer can he last? We'll be right back, fans.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Liberi Fatali" hits and Charlie Haas makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Mrs. Jackie.)

David: Charlie Haas will face the biggest challenge of his MECCA career thus far, as he takes on Nykk right here at Snowed In.

Dick: Haas and Nykk have been at each other's throats right from the start, and it only escalated when Haas cost Nykk his title match against Kevin Stone at New Year's Knockout.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Lisa Letty.)

David: The Alpha Wolf is looking to get back in contention for the MECCA Championship, but so far has not managed to secure another shot. Of course, Nykk is accompanied by his new friend, Lisa Letty, who is to counteract Mrs. Jackie during this contest.

Dick: You say new friend, though Nykk and Lisa have known each other for a couple of years. Since Nykk started MECCA, he's really been trying to be the boss and hasn't really socialized that much at the shows, even with his own friends. But Lisa seems to have changed that... I'm wondering if there's something deeper developing here.

Nykk vs. Charlie Haas
Referee: David Bowers

(The bell rings as Nykk and Haas jaw back and forth at each other. Finally, Haas slaps Nykk, who retaliates with a right hand. They pound away on each other, and Haas gets the better of the exchange. He whips Nykk into the ropes, but Nykk ducks a back elbow and sends Haas down with a running leg lariat. He gives him a hiptoss, followed by an armdrag. Haas retaliates with an armdrag, but Nykk rolls on the mat and counters with another armdrag, holding onto an armbar. Haas rolls through and kicks Nykk away. He gets to his feet and they lock up. Haas goes for a double leg pickup, but Nykk sprawls out and rolls off his back. He gets to his feet and asks Haas if that's how he wants to play. Nykk takes off his fingerless gloves and tosses them out of the ring. He and Haas get in front stances, and Nykk goes for a single leg takedown. Haas gets a half nelson and spins around Nykk's back, hooking his waist and trying to force him down to the mat. Nykk sits out and gets to his feet. They tie up again, and Nykk gets a go behind into a waistlock. He rides Haas, but Haas sits out and escapes, forcing Nykk down to the mat and trying to cradle him into a pinning predicament. Nykk rolls through and escapes. He gets to his feet and kicks Haas in the face before he can get up. Nykk shrugs to the crowd and says, "I was never that good at the amateur stuff anyway!" He gives Haas some forearms and whips him into the ropes. Haas ducks under a running back elbow, and lets the crowd know that he has the brains. He turns around and eats a dropkick from Nykk. He backs Haas into a corner and hits him with alternating chops and right hands. He whips Haas into the corner and charges, and Haas tips up. However, Nykk waits for him to land and then goes for a back suplex. Haas flips out of it and kicks Nykk in the midsection. He snapmares Nykk over and tries to dropkick him, but Nykk moves and then rolls him up with an Oklahoma Roll for a one count. Nykk gives him a drop toehold and segues into an armbar. He applies a top wristlock and then sweeps Haas's feet. Haas goes down, and Nykk drops a knee across the elbow. He applies an armwringer, but Haas uses the top rope to do a backflip and alleviate the pressure. He breaks free and gives Nykk a standing enzugiri that staggers him. He bounces off the ropes and goes for a DDT, but Nykk hooks Haas's leg and gets behind him into another waistlock. He German suplexes Haas over the top rope and Haas hits his head on the apron on the way down. Nykk poses for the crowd and then hits Haas with a pescado. He whips him into the guardrail at ringside, and then goes up to the apron. He showboats for the crowd and then jumps off backwards for a double axehandle. Haas moves, and Nykk twists his knee on the way down. He still manages to clothesline Haas, but Jackie throws a hair ribbon at him. Nykk turns his attention to her, telling her to stay away, but Haas clips Nykk's knee from the side, flipping him over. Lisa goes after Jackie, but she runs for it. Haas gets back in the ring as Bowers administers the count. At seven, Haas throws Nykk back in the ring and covers for two. He hits Nykk with some right hands and then applies a cravate. He gets Nykk down to one knee, but Nykk powers up, though it's putting more pressure on his injured knee. He elbows Haas to escape and bounces off the ropes, but Haas somersaults him with a knee to the midsection. He gives Nykk a German suplex with a bridge for two.)

David: Charlie Haas has taken the advantage now that Nykk's knee looks to be in bad shape. We have to take a quick commercial break, but we'll be back with more of this exciting action as soon as possible!

(Commercial Break)

(Back from the break, Nykk and Haas are exchanging rights, but Haas knees Nykk in the midsection. He kicks at the knee, and gives Nykk a shinbreaker. He whips him into the ropes, but Nykk collapses to the mat. Haas pulls him up, but Nykk rolls him up with a quick inside cradle for two. Haas is quickly back up and kicks Nykk in the face. He gives him some forearms and throws him to the outside. He distracts Bowers while Jackie grabs Nykk by the bad leg and kicks at his knee. Lisa comes over to get at her, but Haas exits the ring and stands in between them, daring Lisa to try and go through him. Meanwhile, Nykk is struggling to his feet and he grabs Haas by the shorts, ramming his back into the ring apron. Haas hits him with a hard right and brings him up to the apron. He gets inside the ring and tries to suplex Nykk back in. Nykk shifts his weight and lands on his feet. He drops to the floor, pulling Haas's arm across the top rope. Nykk gets back in, still favoring his knee, and Haas takes a swing. Nykk takes him over and locks in a cross armbreaker. Haas doesn't have a chance to lock his arms, as Nykk gets it cinched in right away. Haas screams in pain, but is able to make it to the ropes. Nykk lets up, and then applies an armwringer, pulling Haas in to send him down with a shoulder block. Nykk bounces off the ropes and Haas drops down. He tries a leapfrog on the rebound, but Nykk catches him with a spinebuster. He goes for a rolling Samoan drop, but he can't hold Haas up with his knee. Haas clotheslines him and covers for a two count. He applies a modified single leg crab, and Nykk starts to fade. He stops moving just before he reaches the ropes, and Bowers drops his hand twice. On the third try, he keeps his arm up, and uses his other leg to kick out one of Haas's legs and make him lose his balance. However, Haas quickly recovers and hits Nykk with an elbow drop to the back of the head. He gives Nykk a butterfly suplex and covers for a two count. He goes for another shinbreaker, but Nykk counters into a sunset flip. Haas rolls backwards and then kicks Nykk in the chest. He picks Nykk up in a fireman's carry, but Nykk escapes and hits a back suplex. He rolls through for the Trinity and gets the German. He goes for the dragon, but Jackie reaches in and grabs Haas's foot. He's able to escape and give Nykk a back elbow. However, when he tries to bounce off the ropes, Lisa trips him. Haas turns around to give her a piece of his mind, but Nykk moves in and hits the Trinity. He goes up top and goes for the swan splash, but Haas gets his knees up. He hooks Nykk for the Haastruction, but Nykk elbows him and ducks a clothesline, giving him a running back elbow. He gives Haas a snap suplex, followed by a legdrop, covering for two. He picks Haas up, but gets a thumb in the eye. Haas whips him into a corner and starts pummeling him with rights. Nykk ducks under one and gives Haas a running European uppercut, followed by a running knee to the face. Nykk limps around on his bad knee and goes for Howling Moon II. Jackie is able to get on the apron and pull Haas down, and Bowers warns her about interfering. She sees Lisa coming for her, and rolls into the ring. Lisa gives chase as Nykk DDTs Haas. Haas rolls to the ropes and Nykk tries to pull him off as Jackie tries to escape, only to be caught by Lisa. She slugs Jackie with a few right hands, but Jackie retaliates with some of her own. She tries to suplex Lisa, but Lisa escapes behind her and dropkicks Jackie, who goes forward and headbutts Nykk right in the crotch. As Lisa stares in horror, Haas gives Nykk the Haastruction and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Charlie Haas

David: Haas just sneaked away with the victory over Nykk after a horrible accident involving Jackie and Lisa Letty.

Dick: Wait, wasn't Lisa supposed to be here to help Nykk? It looks like she cost him the match! David: Lisa certainly didn't mean for this to happen. She was only trying to stop Jackie from interfering, but it backfired and Charlie Haas walks away with his biggest victory to date here in MECCA.

(As Lisa goes over to wake Nykk up, Haas suddenly nails her from behind with a hard clothesline. Lisa goes down to the mat, and Jackie jumps on top of her, ramming her head into the mat and hitting her with rights. Haas has to pull her off, and they finally leave.)

David: Now that was uncalled for. You already won the match, Haas. Your wife did what you wanted her to do.

(Officials come out to tend to Lisa and help her to the back, but she refuses help. Holding her neck, she looks sadly back at Nykk who is just getting to his feet, and she quickly leaves through the curtain.)

(Backstage, Katie Piehl is watching the show on her monitor when there's a knock at the door.)

Katie: Come in.

(Cynric enters.)

Katie: Cynric! All ready for your big title match tonight?

Cynric: Yeah, you're looking at your fourth MECCA Champion. All I have to do now is make it official. And speaking of officials... Katie, I know you saw what happened in my match with my brother on Go Time... and I hate to complain, but Bowers did screw me out of the title once before, and you saw what just happened out there with Haas and Nykk...

Katie: So what exactly are you getting at?

Cynric: I know he's the official signed to the main event tonight, and I'm just wondering if maybe I could have a different referee.

Katie: David Bowers is a respected official here in MECCA. He's our head referee, and been here since the beginning...

Cynric: I know, but I don't feel that I get a fair shake from him out there. I just wanted...

Katie: There's nothing to discuss. He's the head referee, and I'm not screwing an innocent man out of his payday because of past happenstance. I'm sorry, Cynric, but that's my official word. I'd be worrying more about Stone if I were you.

(Cynric gives a frustrated sigh and leaves the office.)

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and Andy Nathans makes his way to the ring, along with the Grenadiers.)

David: We've got a one on one grudge match coming up here at Snowed In, but we just got word during the break that Lisa Letty has left the Frontier Fieldhouse, and no one is sure where she went, but she did look distraught at what she inadvertently caused.

Dick: Maybe she was just tired of getting beaten down. Nykk's not exactly the most forgiving person in the world.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: Eddie Crowe wants revenge on the UK Wrecking Crew for turning on him and dissolving the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation back in the fall, and all Eddie had to do to get this match was flip a coin to see whick UKWC member he would face, and that turned out to be Andy Nathans.

Dick: I don't know what Eddie's so mad about. He was the one who recruited the UK Wrecking Crew in the first place. If anyone's to blame it's him for not recognizing his friends from his enemies.

Eddie Crowe vs. Andy Nathans
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Eddie hits his running brainbuster and signals for the Crowe's Nest. Jack Fletcher makes his way out with the rest of the Grenadiers and pushes the bottom rope forward so that Nathans can hook it with his foot. Eddie releases the hold and goes after Fletcher, but the Grenadiers get between them. As Young tries to restore order, Fletcher passes some brass knuckles to Nathans. Nathans puts them on and hits Eddie in the face, dropping on top of him for the pin.)

Winner: Andy Nathans

David: Andy Nathans just stole a victory over Eddie Crowe thanks to his partner and those Grenadiers of theirs.

Dick: The Grenadiers did nothing wrong. They were just protecting the guy who's not involved in the match.

David: They wouldn't have had to if he hadn't come out here to begin with. Now what are they doing?

(The UK Wrecking Crew start beating down Eddie. Nathans holds Eddie up while Fletcher gets in some shots. The Pyro Twins come out and head for the ring, but the Grenadiers get in their way. Dusty and Jay try their hardest to fight through, but the numbers are against them. Fletcher gets a mic.)

Fletcher: Hey, Pyro Twins! We told you that you can't get to us as long as we have our Grenadiers! As for you, Eddie, does this seem a little familiar?

(They continue beating him down, and Nathans wants to go for the Wrecking Ball. Fletcher tells him no, and they pick Eddie up, giving him Final Darkness, as the Pyro Twins watch helplessly in the grip of the Grenadiers.)

David: They just gave Eddie Final Darkness, just like last fall when they turned on him!

Dick: And the Pyro Twins can do nothing about it.

David: One of these days, the Pyro Twins are going to get their title shot against Nathans and Fletcher, and no amount of Grenadiers are going to be able to protect them then.

("Ironman" plays as the UK Wrecking Crew exit, taunting the Pyro Twins.)

David: The UKWC are asking for it, but there's nothing the Pyro Twins can do right now. We'll be right back here on FSN.

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, the Pyro Twins are pacing back and forth in the ring.)

David: Welcome back, fans, and the Pyro Twins are still out here because they have a match coming up, but they have been seething ever since the Grenadiers let them go during the break, well after the UK Wrecking Crew had made their escape, of course.

Dick: Their minds are not on their match right now, but I don't think that really matters with Jay and Dusty.

("Blue Crush - Winning the Rainbow" hits and Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota reluctantly make their way to the ring.)

David: I would not want to be Takemura and Sakota right now, and sure enough they're looking a little reluctant about stepping into the ring with the Pyro Twins.

Dick: These two have been trying to earn a full time spot in MECCA, and so far have had mixed results. I don't think they're going to enjoy tonight very much.

The Pyro Twins vs. Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Dusty and Jay hit the Mandate of Heaven on Takemura and Jay covers, but Hitchcock tells him that Takemura isn't legal. Sakota comes in and hits Jay with a forearm to the back. He strikes Dusty in the face multiple times and signals for the Roaring Elbow. He goes for it, but Dusty ducks and he and Jay give him Final Darkness. Jay covers and gets the three count.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins

David: The Pyro Twins win it, and start 2006 off with a big tag team win.

Dick: If they can keep these performances up, they may just get their shot at the tag titles.

David: We'll be right back with our main event, as Kevin Stone defends the MECCA Championship against Cynric!

(Commercial Break)

(In the arena, "Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

David: Cynric is not too thrilled that head referee David Bowers will be officiating this match. He actually tried to get it changed earlier because he feels that Bowers has screwed him in the past and it will happen again.

Dick: It's hard to argue with his logic, especially after the circus of a match we had between Nykk and Haas earlier.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: The MECCA Monster wants to not only win, but dominate his competition. He's proud to be MECCA Champion, and won't give that up easily.

Dick: He's definitely ready for this match against his former tag team partner, but could this be Cynric's night to finally pull through with the big victory his career has been looking for?

David: Let's go to Jared Schrunk for the introductions.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, this will be your main event of Snowed In! The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... from Cincinnati, Ohio... weighing in at 235 lbs... Cyyyynriiiic! His opponent... from Bowling Green, Ohio... weighing in at 265 lbs... he is known as the MECCA Monster, and is the current reigning and defending MECCA Heavyweight Champion... Keviiiin Stoooone!

MECCA Championship: Cynric vs. Kevin Stone
Referee: David Bowers

(Stone and Cynric jaw at each other from across the ring as the bell rings. They meet in the center, still arguing, and finally Stone shoves Cynric. Cynric responds with a thrust kick that backs Stone into a corner. Cynric hits Stone with right hands, and Stone covers up. He shoves Cynric down, but Cynric rolls backwards to his feet and hits Stone with a shoulder to the midsection. He whips Stone to the opposite corner, but Stone reverses and charges. Cynric moves and bounces off the ropes. Stone goes for a big boot, but Cynric catches his foot and spins, sweeping the other leg. Stone gets to his knees and Cynric gives him a roundhouse kick to the chest. He gives him another to the back, followed by a rolling koppo kick to the back of the head. He covers and gets a one count. Stone gets to his feet and takes a swing, but Cynric ducks and nails him with some fast strikes to the midsection and torso. He whips Stone into the ropes and goes for a hurricanrana, Stone catches him with a powerbomb. He gives Cynric some hard right hands and a back elbow that sends him down. Stone drops the leg and covers for a one count. He gives Cynric a vertical suplex and then places him on the top rope. He picks Cynric up for a running spinebuster, but Cynric somersaults over the back for a sunset flip. Stone wraps his hands around Cynric's throat and pulls him through his legs, lifting him into the air. However, Cynric breaks free and dropkicks Stone. He gives him a spinning heel kick, followed by a back body drop. He tries a back suplex, but Stone punches him in the face. Cynric takes him back over with an armdrag, however, and applies the armbar. Stone whips Cynric off into the ropes, but Cynric hits him with another rolling koppo kick and an enzugiri that sends Stone down. Cynric sets up for the Lift Off, but Stone spears him as he charges and covers for a two count. He picks Cynric up and gives him the Monster Bomb, covering for another two count. He lifts Cynric into a military press, but Cynric escapes and dropkicks Stone, following up with a clothesline that sends Stone over the top rope and to the floor. Cynric goes to the apron and sends Stone down with a front kick. He rams Stone into the ring post and then throws him back into the ring. He decides to try the Shock Cannon, but Stone is too heavy for him, and he falls back to his feet, snapping Cynric over into a modified swinging neckbreaker. He applies a reverse chinlock.)

David: Cynric went for too much too soon, and it cost him the momentum in this match. Our champion is dominating right now.

Dick: Cynric should know better to even try to lift the bulkier Stone like that. He should stick to fast strikes and submission holds.

David: We have to take our last commercial break, everybody. We'll be right back!

(Commercial Break)

(Back from the break, Cynric fights away from Stone, but gets pulled back by the hair and kneed in the small of the back. Stone gives Cynric a back suplex and covers for a two count. He throws Cynric to the outside and lets Bowers start the count. When it gets to four, Cynric slides in, but Stone hits a baseball slide to send him back out. Bowers starts to count again and at eight, Cynric gets back on the apron, but Stone grabs the top rope and uses it to launch Cynric into the guardrail. Cynric is out until the nine count, when he gets back on the apron. Stone tries to knock him off again with a big boot, but Cynric pulls the top rope down and tumbles into the ring. Stone's momentum carries him over the top rope, and he bangs his knee on the apron on the way down. He gets back in the ring quickly, but Cynric dropkicks him in the knee. He gives Stone a backbreaker and then whips him into the ropes, doing a front sweep on the knees. Stone falls on his face, and Cynric gives him a dragon screw legwhip. Stone is in considerable pain now, and Cynric attempts the sharpshooter. Stone manages to get to the ropes, and Cynric lets up. Stone gets to his feet and Cynric hits him with some right hands. He brings him to the center of the ring, but Stone knees Cynric in the midsection and then spins, hitting a clothesline to the back of the head. Stone bounces off the ropes and nails Cynric with a big boot, covering for a close two count. Stone tries to get some feeling back in his knee, and he lifts Cynric into a Canadian Backbreaker. Cynric starts to fade, and his hand drops twice. On the third try, Cynric keeps his arm up, but his attempts to elbow Stone into releasing him just make Stone squeeze harder. Finally, Cynric manages to kick off the top turnbuckle and get back to his feet. He takes Stone over with a backdrop, and falls to the mat himself. At the four count, they're both up and Cynric blocks a right hand and nails one of his own. He bounces off the ropes, but Stone catches him with a military press. Cynric escapes and lands behind Stone, pushing him into the turnbuckles. He gives Stone a scoop slam and goes to the top rope, hitting an elbow smash. He sets up for the Lift Off, and Stone tries to counter with the Stone Crusher. Cynric escapes and lands behind Kevin, clipping the knee. Stone goes down, and Cynric applies the sharpshooter. Stone tries desperately to make it to the ropes, and reaches for them frantically. His hand goes up and down to the mat, and Bowers sees it as a tap out and calls for the bell.)

David: I don't believe it! Cynric just beat his old partner and we have a new MECCA Champion!

Dick: Wait a minute, that's not right! Stone wasn't tapping, he was reaching for the ropes!

(Cynric celebrates with the title as Stone gets up in disbelief. He corners Bowers and starts yelling at him and threatening him.)

David: Stone just tapped out to the sharpshooter, and Cynric is the new champion, but Stone seems to be claiming the same thing, that he was reaching for the ropes and not tapping.

(Katie Piehl comes out and Stone starts yelling at her. Cynric finally notices what's going on, and comes over. He and Kevin argue as Katie consults with David Bowers. Finally, they talk to Jared Schrunk.)

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, Kevin Stone is claiming that he did not tap out and therefore did not lose the title. Right now, we are going to show a replay on the video wall so that referee David Bowers can determine the accuracy of this claim.

(The video wall shows the replay in slow motion and definitely shows that Stone was just banging his hand on the mat while trying to get to the ropes. Bowers nods and consults with Schrunk again.)

Jared: Referee Bowers has determined that Stone's claim is indeed true. Therefore, this match will continue until we have a decisive winner!

(Cynric throws the belt down in disgust and starts arguing profusely with Bowers. The bell rings, and Stone charges Cynric from behind. Cynric ducks and Stone almost nails Bowers. Cynric dropkicks him from behind and Bowers just gets out of the way as Stone hits the corner. Cynric yells some more at Katie Piehl and Bowers before stomping on Stone's chest a few times. Stone gets to his feet and covers up, but Cynric spins and kicks him in the stomach. He then hits a jumping crescent kick to the face, nearly knocking Stone out. He hits the Lift Off, but Kevin is all tangled in the ropes and Cynric can't get the pin. He drags Stone to the center of the ring and makes the cover, but Stone barely kicks out at two. He picks Stone up and whips him into the corner, but Stone reverses and hits a running clothesline. He goes for the Stone Crusher, but Cynric slides beneath Kevin's legs and pulls him down to the mat. He goes to the top rope, but Stone catches him with a right hand. He goes up top with Cynric and they slug it out. Cynric gets the better of Stone with some headbutts and a palm strike to the face that almost knocks him to the mat. Cynric actually manages to get him up for the Shockwave Pulsar, but Stone counters into the Stone Cutter on the way to the mat. He covers and gets the three count.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: Cynric gave it everything he had, but once again Stone comes out on top and retains the MECCA Championship. What a heartbreaking loss.

Dick: Cynric was that close, but Kevin Stone, resourceful as ever, was able to narrowly escape losing his title and then come back to actually win decisively.

David: He actually had the belt in his hands, and thought he was MECCA Champion. We all did, but the video evidence showed otherwise, and Kevin rebounded in a major way. It's like no one can stop Kevin Stone! We'll see you this Wednesday on Go Time, fans, as well as February 11 for Bloody Valentine on pay-per-view. Good night.

(As Stone exits with the belt, Bowers attempts to help Cynric up, but Cynric shoves him down hard and starts berating him.)
