New Year's Knockout: 12/30/05

Indianapolis, IN

("DARE" by the Gorillaz plays as the inside of the Warren Performing Arts Center. David Mills and Dick Broccoli are standing in the ring.)

David: Welcome, fans of MECCA! We are just thirty minutes away from the Midwestern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts presenting New Year's Knockout, the last pay-per-view of 2005! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli, and we are set for one heck of a card here tonight.

Dick: That's right, in the main event, Nykk will attempt to regain the MECCA Championship when he battles the man who took it from him back on December 7, Kevin Stone!

David: But that's not the only title that will be on the line. We have another rematch, this time from the November 30 Go Time, as Alan Mayse and Cynric attempt to get a fair shake this time when they go after the UK Wrecking Crew's tag titles.

(A video highlighting the introduction of the Grenadiers is shown, as the UKWC use them to retain over Alan Mayse and Cynric. Clips from the main event of the 12/14 Go Time are shown, with Cynric and Alan Mayse earning their rematch.)

David: Katie Piehl has stated that the Grenadiers will not be a factor tonight, or the UK Wrecking Crew will be stripped of their titles. In the ladies' division, the new champion Gail Kim will defend against Zoe Alexander. Earlier on, Bill Bicknell caught up with our Ladies' Champion.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is with Gail Kim.)

Bill: I'm here with Gail Kim, the Sensation of Submission and our Ladies' Champion. Ms. Kim, you are the second member of the Dangerous Liaison to win the gold in MECCA's history. How do you plan to live up to the reign of Shadow, and does this title make you the de facto leader of the Dangerous Liaison now?

Gail: I think it would be obvious that since I'm the one with the gold, I hold the power. As for living up to... you're kidding, Shadow had a reign? Blink and you missed it. Shadow dropped the ball, and she would be the first to admit it. She thought to try an experiment that would let her control the ladies' division. I do things differently. I still do whatever I have to do to remain champion, but I do it on my own and I accept all worthy challengers. Shadow could get a shot, but just being my friend isn't good enough for me. As for you, Zoe Alexander, you are about to be stretched as you've never been stretched before. You can get the better of me as many times as you want, you can prepare all you want, but I've got a million counters to anything you can come up with. The only thing you can prepare to do is tap out, and look up at me still holding this belt high.

(Back in the arena, Mills and Broccoli are at the announcing table.)

David: Gail Kim seems prepared for Zoe Alexander, and is ready to step up with her title reign. Also tonight, Charlie Haas will make his pay-per-view debut for MECCA when he takes on Joey Sprinklers. Joey is a tough customer, but Haas... wait a minute... I'm getting word that Trent Acid has arrived at the building, and Eddie Crowe is already looking for him.

(Backstage, Trent Acid is carrying his bags, heading for the locker room. He stops to look around each corner, and then enters. The camera pulls back to see Eddie Crowe watching from down the hall. The Ballard Brothers suddenly appear behind him, ready to attack. However, the Pyro Twins appear behind them, and the Ballards run away.)

Jay: Good luck tonight, brother. Don't worry about those two. We'll be taking care of them right now.

Eddie: Thanks.

(In the arena, "The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and the Ballard Brothers make their way to the ring.)

David: The Ballards better be looking over their shoulders just like Trent Acid, because the Pyro Twins are going to make sure they're in no condition to be involved tonight.

Dick: I somehow get the feeling this is the last of Shane and Shannon we'll be seeing tonight.

("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)

David: The Pyro Twins have just reunited with Eddie on Thanksgiving weekend, and all the bad blood seems to have been put behind them. Now we're looking at a new force here in MECCA.

Dick: Eddie, Dusty and Jay definitely have the ability to rule this promotion.

Countdown Match: The Pyro Twins vs. The Ballard Brothers
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: The Ballards go for the Penalty Box on Jay, but Dusty pulls him down and kicks both Ballards, then gives them a double DDT. Jay whips Shannon into the corner, and Dusty whips Shane into him. They stagger out, side by side, and the Pyro Twins give them both Final Darkness, making a double cover for the pin.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins

David: The Pyro Twins pick up the victory, and we're just moments away from going live on pay-per-view for New Year's Knockout. We'll see you there, fans, but right now let's take a look at our main event tonight.

(A music video plays about the events leading up to Nykk vs. Stone, set to "DARE" before the countdown show fades out.)

(New Year's Knockout opening, set to "DARE.")

David: We are live from the Warren Performing Arts Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, and this is MECCA's last pay-per-view offering of 2005, New Year's Knockout! I'm David Mills, he's Dick Broccoli, and it's definitely a month of change leading into 2006. The Pyro Twins and Eddie Crowe are back on the same page, a tournament for a new title has begun and we have a new MECCA Champion in Kevin Stone.

Dick: And he'll make his first title defense right here tonight against the former champ, Nykk. Can the Alpha Wolf pick up the hunt and reclaim what he feels should still be his? Only time will tell.

David: Also, the UK Wrecking Crew will defend the MECCA Tag Team Championship against Alan Mayse and Cynric, but as we saw in their last encounter, Mayse and Cynric have to be wary of the Grenadiers that now accompany Nathans and Fletcher to ringside.

Dick: And Charlie Haas makes his MECCA pay-per-view debut against Joey Sprinklers, and Eddie Crowe will attempt revenge against his former lackey Trent Acid.

David: Plus a Ladies' Title match, which will happen right now.

("TKO" hits and Zoe Alexander makes her way to the ring.)

David: Zoe Alexander has slowly worked her way up to a title shot, and she's received it for tonight. That devastating Zoetrope has put many opponents away since she arrived here in MECCA.

Dick: She also managed to outsmart Gail Kim this past week on Go Time, foiling an ambush set up by the Dangerous Liaison.

("Brackish" hits and Gail Kim makes her way to the ring.)

David: Gail Kim won the belt last month at No Regrets from the First Lady of MECCA Lisa Letty, and I think we all figured that it would be more of the same Dangerous Liaison with her in control, but so far Lisa's gotten her rematch and Zoe is getting an opportunity tonight, and there has been no catering to her friends.

Dick: Gail is a smart competitor, and I'm sure she has plans for her title reign. I'm sure we'll see them unfold, starting here tonight.

Ladies' Championship: Zoe Alexander vs. Gail Kim
Referee: Nikki Alvarado

(FINISH: Zoe gives Kim a gourdbuster and then whips her into the ropes, but Gail slides between her legs and clips the knee. Zoe goes down, and Gail hits a second rope legdrop. She covers and gets a two count. She measures Zoe and goes for the Christo, but Zoe counters into the Zoetrope, hurting her own knee even more. She covers, but Gail gets a foot on the bottom rope. She picks Gail up for a suplex, but Gail escapes and hits a back suplex. She hooks Zoe's knee behind her own head and rolls over into a modified single leg crab. Zoe screams in pain, and is forced to tap out.)

Winner: Gail Kim

David: The Sensation of Submission just lived up to her name as she forced Zoe to tap out to one of her many submission maneuvers.

Dick: Zoe tried, but she just isn't ready for the Ladies' Championship. I think that Gail Kim will be just as dominant with the belt in 2006 as Lisa Letty was in 2005.

David: Up next will be Charlie Haas's pay-per-view debut with MECCA. He ruffled some feathers in his first appearance when he called out the toughest in MECCA, claiming that he could beat them all. He has been impressive in his first few matches, but Joey Sprinklers is coming off a great showing against Low Ki at No Regrets, as well as a victory in the first round of the Toughman Tournament, so I think Haas is in for a bigger challenge than he realizes.

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers skateboards his way to the ring.)

David: Joey Sprinklers may have ultimately lost the feud with Low Ki, but his confidence since that first victory has earned him several others, including advancement in the Toughman Tournament.

Dick: He is a tough kid, I'll grant him that, but I'm afraid he's going to be out of his league tonight.

("Liberi Fatali" hits and Charlie Haas makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Mrs. Jackie.)

David: It was one month ago that Charlie Haas jumped into a MECCA ring, along with his wife Jackie, and claimed that he was going to run roughshod over everyone here in MECCA. He's had a couple of tag matches since then, but tonight is going to be a true test as far as his singles career.

Dick: Haas could be in for some big things here in MECCA, and he has his own Toughman Tournament match coming up this week on Go Time against Jay Crowe.

Joey Sprinklers vs. Charlie Haas
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Joey goes for Da Sprinklanator, but Haas counters into an inside cradle for two. They get up and Joey ducks a clothesline, bouncing off the ropes to send Charlie out of the ring with a flying forearm. Joey goes out after him and rolls him back in, but when he gets on the apron, Jackie grabs his ankle. Joey attempts to shake her off as Haas charges. Joey catches him and snaps his head across the top rope. He goes to the top rope and tries a double axehandle, but Haas counters it into a shinbreaker. He applies the Haas of Pain, and Joey taps out.)

Winner: Charlie Haas

David: Haas wins it, and shows that he can indeed hang here in MECCA. I don't think WWE realized what they had when they let this guy go.

Dick: Haas now has some momentum going into this Wednesday, the first Go Time of 2006.

David: Up next, Eddie Crowe will try to exact some revenge on Trent Acid, and this whole thing started about two months ago.

(Clips are shown of Eddie getting beaten down by the UKWC on 11/2, as well as Acid taking a powder instead of helping Eddie. More clips are shown of the Pyro Twins chasing Acid around over the next few weeks, as well as Eddie's return on 11/30.)

(In the arena, "Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)

David: Trent Acid has been a target for about two months now, and tonight he comes face to face with the man that he abandoned when SELF dissolved.

Dick: I can't understand all this. Acid merely saw the writing on the wall and decided it was wiser to not get beaten down by the UK Wrecking Crew.

("Noots" hits and Eddie Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: It was a joyous holiday weekend in the Crowe household when Eddie resolved his issues with Jay and Dusty... here we go!

(Eddie charges down to the ring and slides in, and Acid attacks as the bell rings.)

Eddie Crowe vs. Trent Acid
Referee: David Bowers

(FINISH: Acid goes for the Yakuza Kick, but Eddie catches his foot. He ducks the enzugiri and pulls Acid up, going for the Crowe's Nest. Acid rams Eddie into the turnbuckles and hits him with some right hands. He props Eddie on the top rope and goes for the Acid Bomb, but Eddie counters into an Ace Crusher. He gives Acid the Backslide Bomb, followed by a running brainbuster. He pulls Acid up again and hits the Gutwrench Driver, finally covering for the three count.)

Winner: Eddie Crowe

David: Eddie Crowe got his redemption for November 2, and I wouldn't be surprised if Acid had some head trauma after that beating!

Dick: Eddie just got a big singles victory, and managed to keep his spot on the Contender Star. Just how longer until he gets a title shot at the MECCA Champion?

David: I'm sure it will be coming sooner or later. For now, we have our MECCA Tag Team Championship contest, as Cynric and Alan Mayse get their rematch against the UK Wrecking Crew due to the controversy of their first title match on November 30.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: A lot to prove here for Mayse and Cynric. They have to prove that they indeed can be MECCA Tag Team Champions, and also that they are not just any other thrown together team.

Dick: Cynric wants this victory bad. He's never had any gold here in MECCA, despite having shots at the MECCA Championship. Same thing for Alan. They're going to be tough to beat if they're on their game tonight.

("Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring, accompanied by the Grenadiers.)

David: The tag champs are on their way, along with those Grenadiers who are there to protect... well, let's just say it, they're there to keep the Pyro Twins away from the UK Wrecking Crew, and if they can help Nathans and Fletcher win their match, all the better for them.

Dick: These are British Royal Guards, David. Don't speak of what you don't know.

David: Royal Guards, my foot. Nathans and Fletcher had better not be thinking about the Pyro Twins, or they'll find themselves short the tag titles again, with no technicality excuses for the loss of their undefeated streak.

MECCA Tag Team Championship: Alan Mayse and Cynric vs. The UK Wrecking Crew
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Alan hits Fletcher with an exploder suplex as the Pyro Twins come out. They head for the ring, but the Grenadiers block their path. Jay and Dusty try to get through, but the Grenadiers grapple with them in the aisle, drawing the attention of Hitchcock, as well as Alan and Cynric. Nathans comes into the ring with a chair, but Alan springboards back in with a dropkick, kicking the chair back into his face. Cynric tells Alan to cover, but Alan pulls up Nathans and lifts him for a Tiger Bomb. Fletcher comes back in and clips Alan's knee, then runs over and dropkicks Cynric. Nathans and Fletcher give Alan the Wrecking Ball as Hitchcock slides back in, and Nathans covers for the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

David: Alan and Cynric come up short in their last chance against the tag champs, and it wasn't for lack of talent, as the UKWC's cheating almost backfired.

Dick: But Alan didn't listen to Cynric and go for the pin when he had Nathans down! When is he going to abandon these notions of winning fairly all the time?

David: Alan is a competitor, and Cynric looks upset with him. He wanted those titles badly.

(Cynric argues with Alan as he gets to his feet.)

(Backstage, Nykk and Lisa Letty are walking down the hall when Charlie Haas and Mrs. Jackie come down the opposite direction.)

Nykk: Excuse us.

Haas: Where you going, Nykk? Have a big match tonight? In case you didn't notice, I just beat one of your good friends in the middle of the ring out there. You'd better watch it, tonight... because if you win that title, I'm coming after you, and if you don't, then you'll just be one more step on my way to a title shot.

(Nykk moves forward, but Lisa holds him back.)

Lisa: No, Nykk, not now. Save it for after your match.

Nykk: You're absolutely right, Lisa. I know what you're trying to do, Haas. You're trying to get into it with me right here so that I lose to Stone again. Not going to happen. I realize that as a former champion, I'm a target for newcomers like yourself, but you seem to have some kind of issue with me. What exactly was it I did to deserve this kind of attention from you?

Haas: You exist, Nykk. You're an affront to this business. You lucked into a very lucrative position, when guys like myself have been working hard for a decade or more before we had anything to show for it. You came into this sport...

Nykk: ...without paying any dues. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You think I'm hearing anything new from you? My track record speaks for itself, and who knows? Maybe the reason that I've accomplished so much in such a short time and it's taken you ten years is simply... that you're not really that good to begin with.

(Haas slaps Nykk in the face, and Nykk lunges for him. Jackie and Lisa attempt to hold the men apart, but they start slugging it out. A horde of officials appear after a few moments and pull the two apart.)

Nykk: I'm warning you, Haas! You have no idea what I'm capable of! If you continue to get in my face, you're dead! You're dead!

Haas: Bring it! Bring your smart mouth to the ring!

(In the arena, "Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

David: What an intense situation that was. Nykk and Charlie Haas have not gotten along since Haas arrived here in MECCA.

Dick: And it seems like Nykk is his next target, now that he's dealt with Joey Sprinklers.

David: Right now, Ronin Fox is set for action. He's gotten into it with the Eccentric Alliance over the last few weeks, and even lost his spot on the Contender Star to Delirious thanks to Cheesecake. This past week on Go Time, Fox challenged Cheesecake for tonight, and he accepted... in his own fashion.

Dick: Fox is desperate to get a high profile win, and earn his way back onto the Contender Star.

("It's Raining Men" hits and Cheesecake makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Huh.)

David: Cheesecake is a former MECCA Tag Team Champion, and he would love to get on the Contender Star, even if it meant facing his own friend Delirious.

Dick: How sad is it that we can call Cheesecake a former champion, yet Fox hasn't won any gold at all?

Cheesecake vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers

(FINISH: Fox goes for Around the World in 18 Seconds, but Cheesecake moves and Fox goes shoulder first into the ring post. Cheesecake moves in, but Bowers keeps him away since Fox is in the ropes. Fox suddenly takes out a pair of brass knuckles from the turnbuckle pads and puts it on his fist. Huh gets on the apron to protest, but the ref goes over to get him away. Fox nails Cheesecake with the brass knuckles over the ref's shoulder, and Cheesecake staggers back to the middle of the ring. Fox drops the brass knuckles and forearms Huh. He goes for the Tail End on Cheesecake, but Cheesecake counters into a double leg takedown and somersaults over into a Byer Bridge, getting the three count.)

Winner: Cheesecake

David: Cheesecake scores the upset, and look at Fox. He can't believe it!

Dick: Fox can't seem to buy a win recently, and this is a bad omen going into the Toughman Tournament, where he'll face another Eccentric Alliance member, Huh.

David: We still have our main event to come, but up next it will be the pay-per-view debut of both the Concession Dream Team and the Killer Kanines, two new teams looking to make an impact here in MECCA.

("Kobrakai" hits and the Killer Kanines make their way to the ring.)

David: The Wild Wolf and Anubis are pumped to be on New Year's Knockout, and they've been very successful since debuting earlier this month.

Dick: You've got the power and agility of Anubis, and the technical expertise of the Wild Wolf. It seems like a winning combination to me.

("Sweet Dreams" hits and the Concession Dream Team makes its way to the ring, accompanied by Medea Knight. Dreamo collapses in the aisle as Concession Boy sells popcorn to the crowd.)

David: Two more Eccentric Alliance members will try to do their faction proud here, and get some payback for losing to the Kanines in their debut match.

Dick: It looks like Concession Boy took offense to this being the popcorn match, and decided to bring the popcorn to the fans.

The Concession Dream Team vs. The Killer Kanines
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: CB makes the tag to Dreamo, but he's fast asleep. Wolf and Anubis laugh and stalk toward him, but Medea sets off the alarm clock and Dreamo slingshots in with a double shoulder block. Wolf goes down, but Anubis is only staggered. Dreamo hits them both with right hands and whips Wolf into the ropes, giving him a back body drop. He hits Anubis with a running forearm and then with another one, but Anubis still doesn't go down. He calls CB back in, and they give him a double dropkick to send him through the ropes. They give the Wild Wolf the Nocturnal Emission, but Anubis grabs the alarm clock from Medea and rolls back in. He hits Dreamo and CB with it, and the ref calls for the bell.)

Winners: The Concession Dream Team

David: The Concession Dream Team wins by disqualification, but Anubis looks pissed!

(As the CDT is announced the winners, Anubis goes berserk and hits Dreamo with a hard lariat. The Wild Wolf gives the Twig Snap to CB, and then he sets Dreamo on the top rope. He goes up and gives him a reverse superplex from the top, and Anubis comes down across his back with the Sphinx Splash from an adjacent corner. "Kobrakai" plays as the Killer Kanines exit.)

Dick: Dreamo and Concession Boy may have won, but they don't look like winners right now. They're laid out.

David: I think the Killer Kanines got a little frustrated with the antics of these Eccentric Alliance members and decided to end the match on their own terms. Well, up next is our main event. Kevin Stone won the MECCA Championship from Nykk back on December 7 on Go Time, but Nykk wasted no time in getting his rematch. Can he win back the belt he held for over four months?

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: It's a little odd to hear Nykk's music first after all these months, but he's in the challenger's seat tonight.

Dick: He also got into it once again with Charlie Haas earlier. Does Nykk have any say in the hiring process? I can't imagine him hiring someone he dislikes so much.

David: As Katie Piehl revealed one year ago, Nykk's power as far as booking and decisions while in the arena is null and void. Anyway, if he did hire Haas, he had no idea what a jerk he'd turn out to be.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring, taunting Nykk with the title belt.)

David: The MECCA Monster will face the Alpha Wolf one on one momentarily. One thing I can say about Stone is he is very proud to be MECCA Champion.

Dick: He considers it to be the highlight of his career so far, as for the first time he's the main event.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us tonight on Friday, December 30, for New Year's Knockout! We hope you have a happy and safe New Year's Eve, and we thank you for your support of MECCA in 2005, and are looking forward to continue this tradition we've started in 2006. The following contest is the main event! It is scheduled for one fall, is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! To my left, the challenger... from the northeast section of south-central Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 225 lbs... he is a former MECCA Champion, and is known as the Alpha Wolf... this is Nyyyyykk! And his opponent... from Bowling Green, Ohio... weighing in at 265 lbs... he is the MECCA Heavyweight Champion... the MECCA Monster, Keviiin Stooooone!

MECCA Championship: Nykk vs. Kevin Stone
Referee: David Bowers

(The bell rings, and both combatants lock up. Stone shoves Nykk down to the mat and goes for an elbow drop, but Nykk moves. They lock up again, and Stone shoves Nykk into the corner this time. He charges for a clothesline, but Nykk ducks under and smacks Stone in the face. Stone goes after Nykk, and a slugfest erupts. Nykk gets a double leg takedown and starts hammering away on Stone, but Stone quickly reverses and gets on top of Nykk, pounding away with stiff right hands. Nykk shoves Stone off and gets up in the corner, but Stone knees him in the midsection and then beels him across the ring. He charges Nykk again, but he avoids it and bounces off the ropes, giving Stone a European uppercut. Stone falls to the mat, and Nykk bounces off the ropes for the running knee, but Stone gets up and tries a big boot. Nykk catches his foot and then schoolboys him for a one count. He gives Stone an armdrag, and then chops him across the chest. He goes for a hiptoss, but can't get Stone over. Nykk knees him in the midsection and then puts his leg over Stone's head, using him to flip over backwards. Nykk ducks a clothesline and elbows Stone in the midsection. He gives him a back palm strike to the throat, followed by a spinning chop to the throat. He picks Stone up in a fireman's carry, but Stone escapes and pushes Nykk into the ropes. Nykk comes charging off with a leg lariat that staggers Stone. He goes for a northern lights suplex, but can't get him up. Stone pounds Nykk's back with some forearms and then tries a right, but Nykk rolls him up for a one count. Nykk clotheslines Stone and it staggers him again, but he gets caught with the big boot when he bounces off the ropes. Stone covers and gets a one count of his own. Stone picks Nykk up and rams him into the corner. He gives Nykk a couple of back elbows and then whips him to the opposite side, hitting a charging clothesline in the corner. He hits Nykk in the back with more forearms and then whips him into the ropes. He leaps over Nykk as Nykk attempts to dropkick him in the knee, and lifts him for the Stone Cutter. Nykk resists, so Stone merely throws him into the air and lets him crash to the mat. He covers Nykk and gets a two count. Nykk rolls to the ropes, and Stone stands on his throat. He lets go at four, and picks Nykk up. He picks him up for a Canadian Backbreaker, but Nykk slips off his shoulders and gives him a back suplex. He goes to the top rope and misses a swan splash when Stone rolls out of the way. However, Nykk catches him as he charges with a spinebuster. He goes for the Cedarleaf, but Stone kicks him back into the corner and clotheslines him when he staggers out. He lifts Nykk into a fireman's carry and hits the Bodybreaker. Still holding Nykk, he stands back up and delivers Go to Sleep. He covers and gets a two count.)

David: Nykk's strikes and high impact offense, which usually work great on smaller opponents, are not getting the job done with Kevin Stone tonight.

Dick: Nykk needs to not play Stone's game and focus on submission wrestling and matwork if he wants to beat the big man. Keep him on the mat and he's all yours, Nykk.

(Stone gives Nykk a vertical suplex and then gives him a kneedrop to the back. He applies a rear chinlock, but Nykk fights his way to his feet. He elbows Stone in the midsection and then bounces off the ropes, but gets an overhead belly to belly suplex. He lifts Nykk into a Canadian backbreaker, and Nykk starts to fade. Bowers drops his arm twice, but Nykk keeps it up the third time. He tries to fight out of it by punching Stone in the face, but Stone rams him front first into the corner. He back up and gives Nykk a big boot to the lower back, and Nykk falls to the mat, writhing in pain. Stone covers and gets another two count. He picks Nykk up and dumps him outside the ring, tying his head up in between the top and middle ropes. Bowers tries to free Nykk as Stone removes an adjacent turnbuckle pad. Bowers finally gets Nykk free, and Stone lifts him up and scoop slams him back into the ring. He paintbrushes him with some kicks to the face and then picks him up. He tries to whip Nykk into the exposed corner, but Nykk grabs the ropes to stop his momentum and hits Stone with a back elbow as he charges in. He gives Stone a second running leg lariat, but Stone still doesn't go down. He charges again, but Stone lifts him into a military press and drops him into a powerslam, covering for a close two count. He gives Nykk a gutwrench suplex, followed by a legdrop. He signals for the Stone Crusher, and whips Nykk into the ropes. Nykk escapes into a waistlock, but Stone elbows him in the head. He bounces off the ropes and clotheslines Nykk, turning him inside out. He goes to the second rope as Nykk staggers to his feet and tries a double axehandle. Nykk "accidentally" falls to his back and kicks his leg up, crotching Stone. Nykk bounces off the ropes and gives him a running kneelift, sending them both off their feet. Bowers starts the count, and both men are up by eight. Nykk blocks a right from Stone, who blocks a retaliatory right from Nykk and forearms him in the face a couple of times. Nykk backs into a corner, and Stone tries to whip him into the exposed turnbuckle. Nykk reverses the whip, falling to his back to add momentum, and Stone hits the corner. He writhes in pain as Nykk hits a running European uppercut, followed by a running knee to the face. Nykk lifts Stone and hits the rolling Samoan drop. He calls for the Cedarleaf, but Stone won't go over. Nykk kicks him in the back a couple of times, and finally turns him over. Stone struggles for the ropes and makes it after a few seconds. Nykk releases the hold and picks Stone up, but he gets kicked in the stomach. Stone headbutts him, and Nykk falls to the mat near a corner. Stone goes for a dropkick, but Nykk moves and Stone crotches himself on the ring post. Nykk goes outside and slams Stone's leg into the post a couple of times and then applies the Bellbrook Cedarleaf: Ringpost Version. Stone is in pain, but Bowers makes Nykk release the hold. He rolls back in and kicks at the knee. Stone jumps and avoids a kick, but Nykk retaliates with a mule kick to the knee that drops Stone. He picks him up for the Trinity, but Stone easily escapes and kicks Nykk, giving him a powerbomb. He covers for a two count. He lifts Nykk into a military press, but his hurt knee buckles and Stone stumbles toward the ropes. Nykk falls to his feet on the outside, clotheslining Stone on the top rope on his way down. Stone staggers, and Nykk goes to the top rope. He hits a leg lariat from the top and covers for a very close two count. As Nykk argues with the ref, Charlie Haas runs out and gets on the apron. Nykk immediately charges him and sends him into the barricade with a running back elbow. He turns around, but Stone is up and catches him with the Stone Crusher. He covers, and Nykk has his foot on the ropes at one. However, Haas pushes Nykk's foot off the ropes and Bowers makes the three count.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: I don't believe it, Nykk was just ripped off by Charlie Haas!

Dick: What are you talking about? Stone clearly had this match won.

David: Maybe, but Nykk definitely had his foot on the bottom rope, and Haas pushed it away before the ref could see it.

Dick: Then he should have kept his foot on the rope.

David: Nonetheless, Kevin Stone is still the MECCA Champion, and will enter 2006 as such. We have to sign off from here in Indianapolis. We'll see you this Wednesday on Go Time for MECCA's first anniversary show!

(Stone celebrates his win as Nykk stares a hole through Haas.)
