Scared Stiff: 10/29/05

Dayton, OH

("Can't Repeat" by the Offspring plays over the MECCA logo as it shows a countdown for Scared Stiff. In the Hara Arena, fans are filing into their seats as Jared Schrunk stands in the middle of the ring.)

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, we are just thirty minutes away from Scared Stiff, live on pay-per-view, right here from the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio! At this time, let me introduce the voices of MECCA... David Mills and Dick Broccoli!

(David Mills and Dick Broccoli make their way to the ring, carrying microphones.)

David: That's right, we're just under a half an hour away from Scared Stiff, where the hometown boys Nykk and Ronin Fox will face off once more, this time for the MECCA Heavyweight Title! The anticipation here in Dayton is off the charts for that match, but that's not all we have tonight.

Dick: No, the Shadow/Lisa Letty feud will finally come to an end as Lisa defends her Ladies' Title against Shadow. These two have had a big issue going for about four months now, and it all comes to a head right here tonight at Scared Stiff.

(A video recap is shown of the Shadow/Letty feud. Then it cuts to backstage, where Bill Bicknell is standing by with Shadow.)

Bill: Shadow, tonight is the night you have the opportunity to regain the Ladies' Title from the woman you won it from the first time, Lisa Letty. However, now you're coming at Lisa as an enemy rather than a friend. Do you feel you are capable of taking the Ladies' Title without any shenanigans?

Shadow: Lisa, you and I have been up and down the road together for the last two years. I know all your weaknesses, but when we were training together, I held back on mine. I did a pretty good job of disguising them, as we saw at Midsummer Night Slam. Tonight, Lisa, you are mine. You may have gotten one up on me at Summer Showdown, but I have to admit to being overconfident. I won't make the same mistake later on. The shadows always return, and after our match, a Shadow will fall on the MECCA ladies' division once again. The Dangerous Liaison will have all the power, and with me as champion, it will be as easy as one, two, three.

(In the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are now at the broadcast booth.)

David: The Ladies' Title Match should be tremendous tonight, and the ladies' division is certainly a unique part of our shows. Another unique match tonight is the one that will pit brother vs. brother. Jay Crowe takes on Eddie Crowe right here in Dayton.

Dick: The new leader of SELF wants his brother out of his way before he starts to go after the MECCA Championship.

David: But SELF's quest for gold will start here tonight, as the UK Wrecking Crew attempt to win the tag titles back from the Eccentrics.

(Clips are shown of the UKWC losing the tag titles to the Eccentrics, the reformation of SELF on 10/11, and their domination of Go Time over the next two weeks.)

David: SELF is certainly back with a vengeance, but not if the Pyro Twins and the Eccentrics have anything to say about it.

Dick: Now keep in mind, Jay and Dusty are still suffering from the effects of being burned by Eddie and the rest of SELF. They will compete here tonight, but they might as well be wearing targets instead of t-shirts.

David: Dusty and Jay wouldn't have missed this for anything. That's how much they love competing here in MECCA and how badly they want to get their hands on Eddie. Speaking of Dusty, he'll be in the first ever Stiff Strike Challenge tonight.

Dick: That's right, no submissions, count-outs or disqualifications. The only way to win is by pinfall or to land the most strikes within the fifteen minute time limit. Dusty Schneble, Kevin Stone, Low Ki and Joey Sprinklers will go at it in that ring.

David: Also, David Caldwell leads his new charges, Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota against the team that fired him last month, Kaientai Deluxe.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse and Cynric make their way to the ring.)

David: It's time for a little warm-up match, as the new team of Cynric and Alan Mayse make their way out.

Dick: These two are looking to establish themselves in the tag ranks, which may be a good idea for Alan. If the UK Wrecking Crew wins back the tag titles tonight, that means Alan only has one more shot at the titles, and it's a good idea to have a few matches under your belt with your partner before trying for the titles.

("The Goon's Theme Remix" hits and the Ballard Brothers make their way to the ring.)

David: The Ballard Brothers are another team looking to establish themselves still. They managed to beat Joey Sprinklers and Dreamo last month, which was their first win as a team.

Dick: That just may have given them the confidence they needed to start winning consistently here in MECCA.

Cynric and Alan Mayse vs. The Ballard Brothers
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Cynric hits Shannon with the Lift Off and covers, but Hitchcock tells him that Shannon's not legal. Shane comes in and attacks Cynric. He whips him into the ropes, but Cynric reverses it and Alan kicks Shane, delivering the Tiger Bomb. However, Hitchcock tells Alan that he's the one that's not legal now. Cynric and Alan confer, and then Alan lifts Shane into a Tiger Bomb. When he has him horizontal, Cynric hooks Shane's head and one of his legs. They give him a Tiger Bomb/Shock Cannon combo, and Cynric covers for the three count.)

Winners: Cynric and Alan Mayse

David: Cynric and Mayse get a decisive win with a devastating combo.

Dick: They've gotten two wins over established teams now, and I wouldn't think it would be too out of the realm of possibility for Katie Piehl and the board of directors to grant them the title shot they're seeking.

David: Ladies and gentlemen, we're just a few minutes from going live on pay-per-view, and there's still time to order. We've hyped up the undercard, but now it's time to take a look at our main event.

(A video is shown, recapping the Nykk/Fox feud, with some footage courtesy of RCW shown.)

("Can't Repeat" by the Offspring welcomes everyone to Scared Stiff. In the arena, a small pyro display goes off.)

David: We are live from the Homefront, the Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio! This is the Midwestern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts, and tonight we present the hardest-hitting card of the year, Scared Stiff! And what a main event, as Nykk defends the MECCA Championship against Ronin Fox!

Dick: One of Dayton's most familiar matchups now has the biggest prize in MECCA at stake.

David: Also tonight, Eddie Crowe attempts to prove that he is better than his own older brother, as he faces off against Jay Crowe.

Dick: This has been coming for a while, and this will be the first time these brothers have ever met in the ring.

David: We'll also have the first Stiff Strike Challenge and much, much more.

("Blue Blast - Winning the Rainbow" hits and Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota make their way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)

David: We're kicking things off with this all-Japanese grudge match. David Caldwell leads his new clients Takemura and Sakota to ringside.

Dick: It was Caldwell who initiated this conflict after getting fired by KDX, and Takemura and Sakota attacked them a few weeks ago on Go Time.

("Entre dos Tierras" hits and Kaientai Deluxe make their way to the ring.)

David: Dick Togo and Men's Teioh are not happy at all at the actions of their fellow countrymen. This should be a competitive match.

Dick: And the winners would have to be looked at for a future tag title shot, so that factors in as well.

Kaientai Deluxe vs. Katsushi Takemura and Keiji Sakota
Referee: Keith Young

(FINISH: Takemura baseball slides into Togo, sending him into the guardrail. Teioh tries a forearm shot, but Takemura ducks and locks in a sleeper. Sakota gives Teioh the Roaring Elbow, and Takemura falls back with the hold still applied, locking in a body scissors. However, Teioh is able to roll Takemura on top of him as Togo slingshots in with a rolling hilo onto Takemura's back. He ducks a Roaring Elbow from Sakota and gives him a Saito Suplex. Teioh gives Takemura the Miracle Ecstasy, and Togo goes to the top rope, delivering the Senton Bomb. Teioh makes the cover and gets the three count.)

Winners: Kaientai Deluxe

David: KDX just took the victory and does Caldwell ever have egg on his face!

Dick: Kaientai Deluxe have redeemed themselves somewhat, as this big win supports their decision to terminate Caldwell.

(David Caldwell throws a tantrum at ringside, arguing with Young.)

David: Takemura and Sakota were a flop for Caldwell, but ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the rubber match of the ladies' division. Lisa Letty defends the Ladies' Championship against Shadow. Shadow beat Letty back on June 25 at Midsummer Night Slam, and then Letty returned the favor at Summer Showdown on August 20. Tonight, they settle the feud and the winner will be recognizes as the best lady wrestler in MECCA.

("Gangsta Bitch" hits and Shadow makes her way to the ring, along with LuFisto, Misery and Gail Kim.)

David: Wait a minute, what's the rest of the Dangerous Liaison doing out here? This is supposed to be one on one, no extras at ringside.

Dick: I guess Shadow's ready to do whatever she needs to do, because not only her future but the Dangerous Liaison's future rests on her victory.

(Shadow argues with referee Nikki Alvarado as "Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)

David: Lisa has a little bit of an apprehensive look coming out here face to face with the entire Dangerous Liaison. Could this be what Shadow is playing at?

Dick: Intimidation from the outset is always an advantage, and if Shadow can get into Lisa's head, she may have won the title before the bell even rang.

(Referee Rya Zay comes out and confers with Alvarado. They then order Kim, LuFisto and Misery to the back. The Dangerous Liaison protests and refuses to leave, but Zoe Alexander, Kelly Schweickart and Heather Star come in from the crowd and converge on the ring. The Dangerous Liaison backs up, and finally makes their way to the locker room, with the other ladies stalking them all the way behind the curtain.)

David: It looks like the other members of our ladies' division have stepped up and said no more! The Dangerous Liaison was just run out of town, and now Lisa's smiling at Shadow.

Dick: I don't think Shadow expected this, but she should have. How's her game plan going to change now?

Ladies' Championship: Lisa Letty vs. Shadow
Referee: Nikki Alvarado

(FINISH: Shadow goes for the double stomp from the top rope, but Lisa moves out of the way. However, Shadow anticipates this and rolls through. She gives Lisa the Skullbuster, and then locks in a dragon sleeper. Lisa gives her some uppercuts to escape and then bounces off the ropes. She blocks the Interceptor and tries a crucifix. Shadow doesn't go down, and Lisa segues into a double underhook, hanging upside down from Shadow's back. She takes Shadow over into a modified sunset flip but rolls her through, somersaulting over into the Letty Stretch. After a few moments, Shadow submits.)

Winner: Lisa Letty

David: Lisa Letty has beaten Shadow! Now there is no doubt who the best lady wrestler in MECCA is!

Dick: What great counter wrestling by Lisa, as Shadow was finally forced to give in to the Letty Stretch.

David: What a title defense that was, but up next we have the first ever Stiff Strike Challenge. Katie Piehl asked for volunteers for this experiment, and over the last few weeks, she's gotten them.

(Clips are shown of Stone, Schneble, Ki and Sprinklers signing up for the Stiff Strike Challenge from the 10/4 and 10/18 Go Times.)

(In the arena, Jared Schrunk is in the ring.)

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the Stiff Strike Challenge! Here are the rules: this match has a fifteen minute time limit and there are two ways to win. First is by pinfall, and the second is to score with the most strikes during the duration of the match. Seated at ringside are four judges who will each keep tabs on a single participant and count the number of strikes they connect with, and strikes will only count within the confines of the ring. Punches, kicks, chops, forearms, knees, elbows, dives, headbutts, and shoulders will all count toward a participant's strike total while drivers, slams, breakers, suplexes, bombs and submission holds will not. Now, let me introduce the participants!

("Hit That" hits and Joey Sprinklers makes his way to the ring.)

David: Joey Sprinklers is a reluctant participant in this. He only signed to get away from Low Ki, and then Low Ki signed on just a few moments later!

Dick: Joey's going to have to confront Low Ki sooner or later and this is as good a chance as any.

("At the End of the Rainbow" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)

David: Kevin Stone feels he has something to prove after losing his shot at the MECCA Championship last month. A win here, plus a consistent stay on the Contender Star would definitely help him get a title match with the winner of Nykk vs. Fox.

Dick: He's also been having problems with the Eccentric Alliance and the Pyro Twins recently, which would put anyone in a bad mood.

("Burning Times" hits and Dusty Schneble makes his way to the ring.)

David: Dusty's still sore about losing to Kevin a few weeks ago, and plans to pay him back tonight. And with his partner taking on Eddie Crowe later, this is a good opportunity to establish himself in the singles ranks.

Dick: Dusty's never really shown much interest in the singles ranks before, but having been denied shots at the tag titles for so long, it's kind of forced the Pyro Twins to branch out a bit.

("Fighter's Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)

David: Low Ki is on a mission to tear Joey Sprinklers apart after Joey upset him, scoring his first win in his MECCA career via fluke. Low Ki felt embarrassed by that, and wants a rematch.

Dick: And Joey's not about to give it to him.

(Low Ki dives into the ring and goes for Joey, but Joey hides behind Kevin. Kevin gives him a look of annoyance and elbows him in the face. The bell rings, and Dusty immediately goes over and starts pounding Kevin's back with three forearms as his attention is turned to Joey.)

Stiff Strike Challenge: Dusty Schneble vs. Kevin Stone vs. Joey Sprinklers vs. Low Ki
Referee: David Bowers

(Joey rolls out of the ring, and Low Ki gives chase. Dusty and Kevin trade right hands, but then Kevin takes control with a knee to the midsection as Joey hides under the ring. Kevin whips Dusty into the rope and tries a big boot, but Dusty catches his foot and throws it down, hitting Kevin with some forearms. Low Ki comes in and gives Dusty a chop to the back of the neck, and Kevin sends him down with a right hand. Kevin suddenly clocks Low Ki and sends him down with a right, moving in with kicks to the ribs. Low Ki gets up and gives Kevin a roundhouse kick to the midsection and follows up with a headbutt. Kevin staggers back as Dusty grabs Low Ki in a front facelock and gives him some knees to the face. He pounds on Low Ki with clubbing forearms and then whips him into the ropes, sending him down with a clothesline. Low Ki backs into a corner, and Dusty gives him some chops. Ki responds with some more chops and Dusty whips him to the opposite corner. Low Ki reverses and hits the Tidal Crush. Dusty falls to his knees and Ki gives him two kicks to the chest. Dusty ducks a kick to the head, but Low Ki spins in a 360 and hits another kick when Dusty's head comes back up. He turns around and walks right into a big boot from Stone. Stone covers and gets a two count. Kevin gets up, but Joey slides into the ring and clips Kevin's knee. He starts stomping on his head and then bounces off the ropes, delivering a running knee. Kevin just looks at him and grabs him by the throat, but Dusty saves Joey with a forearm from behind. Low Ki attacks Kevin as well, and they whip him into the ropes for a double clothesline. Kevin merely breaks through and takes them both down with a double clothesline on the rebound. He sees Joey climbing the ropes and pull him down into a tree of woe. He kicks Joey in the head a couple of times and then steps out of the way as Low Ki tries a dropkick to the knees and ends up dropkicking Joey in the face by accident. Dusty sends Ki down with a back elbow, but walks right into a Stone Cutter from Kevin. Stone covers, but Dusty gets a foot on the ropes. Enraged, Kevin tears off Dusty's shirt to reveal his bandaged back. He hammers Dusty with forearms to the back and then throws him out of the ring. As he plays to the crowd, "La Macarena" hits and the Eccentric Alliance is spotted in the crowd, stealing Kevin's thunder. Stone yells at them as Low Ki starts working over Dusty with Kawada Kicks to the back.)

David: The Eccentric Alliance is out here distracting Stone, but meanwhile Low Ki is catching up on strikes!

Dick: Dusty's burned back has become a target, and none of these guys will hesitate to exploit that.

(Stone finally sees what's going on and charges Low Ki, but Ki kicks back at Kevin's knee. Ki lands another roundhouse kick to the midsection, and then hits the Tidal Wave, which staggers Kevin. He charges Stone, who goes for the Stone Crusher, but Low Ki lands on his feet and kicks the back of the knee. Stone goes down to one knee, and Low Ki pounds the mat and then gives Kevin some Mongolian Chops. Kevin goes down to both knees, and Low Ki knees him in the face, continues with the chops and then dropkicks him in the face. Kevin flies backwards to hit the corner, and Joey sneaks back into the ring and covers Kevin. Low Ki pulls him off at two, and kicks him in the head. He follows up with a chop to the back of the neck, and tells Joey that he's going to die. He gives him some rapid Kawada Kicks as Joey tries to get away. Ki pulls him up and whips him into the corner, hitting a rolling koppo kick. He picks Joey up and gives him the Krush Rush, followed by the Ki Krusher. He covers Joey, but Dusty forearms Low Ki from behind and lays into him with elbows and forearms to the head. He whips Low Ki into the corner and hits a charging shoulderblock to the midsection. He gives Low Ki a teardrop suplex. He picks Low Ki up and goes for the Rope Burn II, but Stone charges and gives them both a big boot at the same time before Dusty can complete the move. He lifts Dusty in a military press and drops him into a powerslam, and Dusty writhes in pain from his back. Joey gives Low Ki a spinning heel kick while he's still on the ropes, and Low Ki falls to the mat. Joey and Kevin make a double cover, but Dusty and Low Ki both kick out. Joey then staggers Kevin with a clothesline, but when he charges again gets caught in a sidewalk slam. Stone kicks Low Ki down and picks Dusty up, shoving him into a corner and trading rights with him. Joey sees Low Ki down and decides to prop him up in the corner, applying the Hanging Dragon. Joey pounds on Low Ki's midsection as he has the hold applies and Dusty sees what's going on. He tries to whip Kevin into them, but Kevin reverses and Dusty crashes into the pile. Joey lets go of the hold as Stone lifts Dusty and just lets him drop to the mat. He bounces off the ropes and delivers a kneedrop to the back of the head. He gets a two count as Low Ki and Joey get to all fours. Their eyes meet, and Low Ki realizes what Joey was just doing. He goes for Joey, who runs for it. Joey slides out of the ring, but Low Ki slides out the opposite side and catches him as he comes around the corner, ramming him into the guardrail. Low Ki wails on Joey who retreats up the aisle, as Bowers tries to tell them their strikes won't count if they're not in the ring. Meanwhile, Dusty kicks Kevin twice, tying their strike tally. Dusty charges him and they give each other simultaneous clotheslines, still keeping their scores tied. As Dusty and Stone try to get up, Low Ki beats Joey through the curtain and out of sight. Dusty and Kevin get to their knees and trade rights, keeping their score tied. They get to their feet, and a right hand from Dusty is blocked. Kevin goes for a right hand of his own, but Dusty blocks it this time and headbutts Kevin, breaking the tie. He bounces off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Kevin ducks and grabs him by the back of the pants, pulling him in for a hard forearm to the back. Kevin bounces off the ropes and clotheslines Dusty hard, taking them both off their feet. A few moments later the bell rings, and Stone is declared the winner by most strikes.)

Winner: Kevin Stone

David: What a hard-hitting and brutal match we've just witnessed, but it was Kevin Stone who came out on top with the most strikes.

Dick: I'll give all these guys credit. None of them let themselves be pinned decisively, even Dusty, who has to be hurting like hell with that burnt back.

David: Kevin Stone has been on a roll these past few months, and has now gotten his momentum back after losing in Four Corner Chaos last month. Right now, we're going to take you to an interview conducted with the leader of SELF, Eddie Crowe. Take it away, Bill Bicknell.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Eddie Crowe.)

Bill: Eddie, in a few moments it all comes to a head as you take on your brother Jay, right here in your hometown of Dayton. Are you feeling any second thoughts about stepping into the ring and essentially trying to beat the hell out of your brother.

Eddie: There is no try, Bill. If anything, I'm even more eager to get in that ring and fight my brother, especially after the new SELF proved this past week that the Pyro Twins are weak. They're yesterday's news. They're done. In fact, they're very "well" done. No one thought that the Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation would come back, but as the top stars of MECCA found to their dismay, I have assembled the deadliest force in wrestling with only the simple addition of the UK Wrecking Crew. Imagine what I'm going to do next. And later on, when the Leaving Song Part II plays... Jay, we were both trumpet players in the marching band. Tell me, will that sound like taps to you? Because it will to me. And it's playing for your ass, because tonight I take you out once and for all.

(In the arena, "Ironman" hits and the UK Wrecking Crew make their way to the ring.)

David: What a strange sound this is, to hear the UKWC's music first. But they step into the ring tonight in the role of challengers.

Dick: They're also stepping into the ring as the newest members of SELF. Perhaps this new alliance is going to give them the fire they need to regain the tag team belts.

("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)

David: The Eccentrics scored perhaps the upset of the year when they won the tag titles from the UK Wrecking Crew back on October 4.

Dick: Yeah, but there were extenuating circumstances during that match, with the Pyro Twins being instrumental in allowing the UK Wrecking Crew to be pinned.

David: We already saw the Eccentrics once tonight, trying to distract Kevin Stone. Will he attempt to retaliate in this match?

MECCA Tag Team Championship: The Eccentrics vs. The UK Wrecking Crew
Referee: Matt Hitchcock

(FINISH: Jack Fletcher moves out of the corner and pulls Hitchcock in as Huh charges with an avalanche. Hitchcock goes down, and Fletcher bounces off the ropes to take Huh down with a lariat. Nathans puts on a pair of brass knuckles as Cheesecake tackles Fletcher. Nathans nails Cheesecake in the head, but Dreamo and Delirious run down and slide into the ring. They face off against the UKWC, but Kevin Stone comes in through the crowd. He goes into the ring and kicks Dreamo in the face with a big boot. Delirious attacks him and whips him into the ropes. He attempts a leapfrog, but Kevin spears him out of midair. He brawls out of the arena with Delirious and Dreamo. As the UKWC watch the whole thing, the Eccentrics get to their feet. Huh backdrops Nathans over the top rope, and Cheesecake kicks Fletcher, giving him the Long Kiss Goodnight. Huh goes up for the moonsault, but Eddie Crowe and Trent Acid run down. Eddie crotches Huh on the top rope, and Acid gives Cheesecake the Yakuza Kick. The UKWC go to the top rope, giving Huh a double reverse suplex, moonsaulting him onto Cheesecake. Fletcher covers Huh as Hitchcock wakes up, making the three count.)

Winners: The UK Wrecking Crew

David: No! The Eccentrics just had the MECCA Tag Team Titles stolen from them by SELF!

Dick: Just as the UK Wrecking Crew had the titles stolen from them. Turn about fair play, David.

David: Nonetheless, we have new tag team champions, as Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher have regained the titles and some measure of their pride that they lost with their undefeated streak.

(Nathans and Fletcher hug Eddie and Acid and hold up the belts.)

David: Up next, that man, the leader of SELF, Eddie Crowe takes on his brother Jay. Let's take a look at what set the stage for this epic match.

(Clips play, chronicling Jay and Eddie's history in MECCA.)

(In the arena, "The Leaving Song Part II" is playing as Eddie Crowe poses in the ring.)

David: Eddie Crowe has sent the other members of SELF to the back for this one. This is one of the hottest young prospects in wrestling, thanks in part to the fact that he was trained by C.M. Punk. But he was trained under false pretenses, only to perpetuate Punk's career, but he hasn't actually done so bad for himself since Punk left MECCA.

Dick: Absolutely not. He's now the leader of SELF, and he actually burned the Pyro Twins this past week on Go Time. But as we saw earlier with Dusty, they're not going to let that stop them from competing tonight.

("Burning Times" hits and Jay Crowe makes his way to the ring.)

David: Jay definitely got the worst of that burning on Go Time, as he was simply set on fire while Dusty ended up putting out a table that was on fire with his own body. You know that his back is all bandaged up under that shirt, and Eddie will not hesitate to exploit that.

Dick: Jay is definitely still in pain, but he refuses to show weakness to his own brother. This is so personal, and on paper, it would seem that even burned, Jay has the advantage. But Eddie has gotten victories over some of the top names in MECCA, and I honestly can't call a winner in this one.

Jay Crowe vs. Eddie Crowe
Referee: Keith Young

(The bell rings, and Eddie and Jay start to argue in the middle of the ring. Finally, Eddie slaps Jay across the face, and Jay goes after him. Eddie backs up to the ropes as Jay grabs him by the throat, and Young makes him back off. They meet in the center of the ring again and lock up. Jay goes for a double leg takedown, but Eddie backs up into the ropes again. He forearms Jay across his back, and Jay yells in agony. Eddie knees him in the face and then gives him a back suplex. Jay rolls to his stomach, but Eddie continues the attack with stomps to the back. He bounces off the ropes and nails a flying elbow to the back. Jay is clearly in agony, and Young asks him if he wants to stop the match. Jay refuses, and gets kicked in the face by Eddie. Eddie gives him an armdrag, followed by a clothesline. He gives Jay a couple of forearms to the head and whips him into the ropes. Jay ducks under another clothesline and delivers a spinning heel kick on the rebound. He gives Eddie a back body drop, and Eddie backs into a corner. Jay charges in with a corner clothesline and then snapmares him over, kicking him in the spine. Jay somersaults over with a necksnap and then leaps to the second rope, turning around and hitting a guillotine legdrop. He covers Eddie and gets a one count. Eddie rolls out of the ring to regroup, but Jay follows him out. He rams Eddie's head into the steps, and Eddie goes up the aisle for higher ground. Jay grabs him by the head and rams him into the metal part of the set where the curtain is. He takes him down with a bulldog, and then points down to the ring. He whips Eddie down the aisle and charges after him, but Eddie does a handspring on the ring apron and lands behind Jay, dropkicking him in the back. Jay sails into the apron and goes down. Eddie rolls him into the ring and then covers for a one count. He gives Jay a backbreaker, and then goes for the Gutwrench Driver. Jay elbows Eddie in the head to escape his grip, and then goes for a belly-to-belly suplex. However, Eddie counters with headbutts to escape and bounces off the ropes, only to receive a spinning clothesline. Jay lifts Eddie for a back suplex, but instead plants him with a facebuster. He covers for a two count. He puts Eddie in a front facelock and knees him in the face multiple times. He follows up with an STO, and covers for another two count. He signals for the Overhaul and lifts Eddie, but Eddie escapes and backs into the corner. Jay charges, but Eddie elbows him in the face. Eddie charges Jay, but gets taken over with a judo throw, and Jay segues into a triangle choke. Eddie starts to fade, but manages to get his ankle across the bottom rope. Jay breaks the hold, and then puts Eddie's throat across the middle rope, choking him. He breaks at the four count and hits Eddie with a couple of hard chops. He whips Eddie into the ropes and puts his head down. Eddie counters by lifting Jay into a Canadian Backbreaker and then dropping to his knees, jarring Jay's spine. Jay writhes into a sitting position, and Eddie kicks him in the back. He gives Jay a gutwrench suplex and covers for a two count. He whips Jay front first into the turnbuckles and gives him a running double knee to the back. He bounces off the ropes and delivers a dropkick to the back of the head, and Jay goes down. Eddie chokes Jay, but has to break it at the four count.)

David: Eddie has been wisely countering Jay's experience by exploiting that weakness, which is the back. Jay has to be in agony in there.

Dick: Sometimes when you have a painful injury like a burn, if it hurts bad enough, after a while you can no longer feel it. Is this the case with Jay? Is he trying to numb himself to his injury, or will the pain be too much for him?

David: Jay's also being very limited in what he can do, because every time he lands on his back, pain has to go searing through his body.

(Eddie lifts Jay for a vertical suplex but draps him over the top rope. He kicks Jay in the face, and Jay falls to the floor. Eddie goes out after him and rams him into the guardrail. He rolls Jay into the ring and applies the cobra clutch, trying to hook the leg and give him a Russian Legsweep. Jay hits Eddie with rights to break the hold, but Eddie ducks another right and hits a flatliner. He applies the Crowe's Nest on the mat and wrenches back on it. Jay tries to get to the ropes, but Eddie shifts his position so that Jay is in the middle of the ring. Young drops Jay's hand twice, but Jay keeps it up the third time. He shifts his position and finally gets an ankle across the bottom rope. Eddie breaks the hold and kicks Jay in the face. He brings him to his feet and goes for another flatliner, but Jay counters with an STO. Young starts the count, and they both get to their feet at six. Jay whips Eddie into the corner and charges, but Eddie hits Jay with a back elbow. He goes to the second rope and gives Jay a Tornado DDT. He covers and gets a two count. Enraged, Eddie tells Jay to stay down and covers him for another two count. Jay tries to power up to his feet, shrugging off right hands from Eddie, but Eddie hits an enzugiri to Jay's back. Jay goes back down to the mat in pain, and Eddie rips the shirt off, exposing the bandages. He presses Jay to the mat and comes down with two knees to the back. He gives Jay several hard chops to the back, and Jay starts to bleed through as the skin breaks. Eddie rips the bandages off, despite Young's protest. Jay's burned back is bleeding, and Eddie gives him some overhand chops. He drops a knee to Jay's back and then picks him up, hitting a running brainbuster. He lifts Jay for the Gutwrench Driver, but Jay somersaults to his feet and kicks Eddie, giving him a DDT. They get to their feet, and Jay gives Eddie some right hands. He whips him into the corner, and Eddie leaps to the second turnbuckle. He vaults backward into a double axehandle, but Jay bats his hands away and counters with a belly-to-belly suplex. He gives Eddie a Death Valley Driver, and Eddie rolls to the corner. Jay bounces off the ropes and dropkicks Eddie in the head. He picks Eddie up and gives him a Saito Suplex, then signaling for the Overhaul. He gets Eddie up, but Eddie pounds Jay's head with rights and drops to his feet. He immediately gives Jay the Gutwrench Driver and covers, but Jay barely kicks out at two. Eddie pulls at his own hair in frustration, and gets Jay up, forearming him in the back. He whips him into the ropes, but Jay counters into an armwringer. He pulls Eddie in and hits a hard chop, spinning him around. Jay gives Eddie the Overhaul and covers, but Eddie gets a foot across the bottom rope. Jay picks Eddie up, but Eddie sticks a thumb in his eye. Eddie clotheslines Jay down and goes to the top rope. However, Jay gets up and crotches him on the top turnbuckle. Jay goes up for a superplex, but Eddie somersaults through the move and lands on his feet while Jay lands on his back. Jay gets up in pain, and Eddie dropkicks him into the ropes. Jay bounces off the ropes front first and staggers backwards, right into a reverse fireman's carry from Eddie. Eddie gives Jay the Overhaul, dropping him on his head. Eddie covers and finally gets the three count.)

Winner: Eddie Crowe

David: I can't believe it. What a match we've just witnessed between these two brothers. Eddie just beat his own brother clean, and he did it with his own move.

Dick: What a great match, but the pain was just too much for Jay, and a superplex was more than his burns could take.

David: SELF is 2-0 tonight, and not only do they have the MECCA Tag Team Championship in their camp, but their leader has just scored a major victory over the man who actually beat his mentor back at Summer Showdown. Up next is the main event, ladies and gentlemen. Nykk vs. Ronin Fox for the MECCA Championship. Let's go to Bill Bicknell, who has the champ.

(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Nykk.)

Bill: Nykk, in just a few moments you step into the ring with your biggest nemesis in this business, Ronin Fox. You two have waged war for over two years now, but now the MECCA Championship hangs in the balance between you.

Nykk: Bill, we've done this before. Fox, we've done this before. We've had a crazy few years in this industry, and tonight we meet in the main event, in our hometown, for what is fast becoming one of the most respected titles in wrestling. I can say nothing I haven't already said to you, and I can do nothing that I haven't already done to you. All I have for you tonight is me... me and this title. And whoever's been attacking me backstage recently, I hope you're watching this. Because you could never match up to the excellence that is going to happen out there tonight, and deep down I'm sure you know that. Fox, I've got nothing else. Let's shut up and wrestle.

(In the arena, "Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

David: This is perhaps the biggest night in Ronin Fox's career. He's never had a promotion's main title, either here or in RCW. But tonight he has a great opportunity, because he's beaten Nykk before, and what a way to win your first major championship than to pin the man who has been your most challenging opponent.

Dick: The electricity here in Dayton is off the wall, and I'm not sure that our new fans or fans outside the Midwest can completely understand what's going on. For one year, these two had a bitter, hard-hitting rivalry that built FPPVW, which turned into RCW. It was the matchup that Nykk wanted to build MECCA with, but it never really worked out that way. These two don't need any more buildup. The match will speak for itself.

("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)

David: Nykk and Fox have had a kind of understanding since the start of MECCA, and Fox has stated that because of what Nykk has done with this promotion as half-owner, he's even come to have some respect for him.

Dick: Nykk seems to have matured a lot over the past few years. A couple of years ago, he tried to run RCW even though they had a very competent owner. But since he's been in charge of his own promotion, maybe that's what he's needed all along. Now that he has that outlet, look where he is. He's on top of the mountain.

David: Let's take it up to ring announcer Jared Schrunk for the introductions.

Jared: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us tonight in Dayton, Ohio, and live on pay-per-view, for the Midwestern Establishment of Competitive Combart Arts' fall spectacle Scared Stiff! This is our main event, and it is for the MECCA Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger! From Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 170 lbs... he is a former RCW Television Champion... Roniiiiiin Foooooox! And his opponent... also from Bellbrook, Ohio... weighing in at 228 lbs... he is a two-time former RCW Heavyweight Champion, and the current MECCA Heavyweight Champion... this is Nyyyyyykk!

MECCA Heavyweight Championship: Nykk vs. Ronin Fox
Referee: David Bowers

(The bell rings, and Nykk and Fox circle one another. They each invite each other to make the first move, and they finally lock up. They grapple for position, and Nykk manages to back Fox into the corner. He breaks clean, and shows Fox that he's going to play fair. He offers his hand and Fox shakes it. They lock up again, and again Nykk powers Fox into the corner. Nykk breaks again and mocks Fox with his superior strength. He offers his hand again, but pulls back to brush back his own hair when Fox reaches out. They lock up again, and this time Fox gets a go behind and applies a waistlock. Nykk steps over the middle rope, and Fox breaks clean. Fox showboats his brains this time, and Nykk smiles, reaching out his hand for another handshake. Fox asks the crowd if he should do it and then takes Nykk's hand, pulling him into a headlock. Nykk whips Fox into the ropes and sends him down with a shoulderblock. He bounces off the ropes, and Fox drops down. Fox tries a leapfrog on the rebound, but Nykk quickly turns around after ducking under him and pulls his leg, slamming Fox to the mat. Nykk immediately jumps into a side headlock takeover. Fox counters with a headscissors, and Nykk rolls to his stomach. He somersaults over on top of Fox for a one count, but Fox bridges up and turns Nykk over into a backslide that gets a one count before Nykk rolls through. Nykk gets another one count with an inside cradle, but Fox reverses it for another one count. They get to their feet and have a stand-off as the crowd shows their appreciation. After a few moments they lock up again, and Nykk gets the armwringer, making sure to jack the arm across his shoulder before applying it. Fox rolls through and kips up, countering into a hammerlock. Nykk reverses into one of his own and Fox reaches behind him, hooking his head. He propels himself upward and then takes Nykk over with a snapmare. Nykk rolls to his feet but gets caught with a spinning heel kick. Fox whips him into the ropes and puts his head down, but Nykk immediately applies the headlock again. Fox tries to push Nykk away, but Nykk gets the side headlock takeover. He gets a one count, but Fox gets his shoulder up. Fox gets to his feet and lands some shots to the ribs. He goes for a back suplex, but Nykk escapes and hits one of his own. He segues into a German, but Fox lands on his feet and dropkicks Nykk in the face. He covers for a two count. He gives Nykk a vertical suplex and then bounces off the ropes, hitting a quick legdrop. He goes to the second rope and tries a hurricanrana, but Nykk throws him off. Fox backflips to his feet, but immediately gets mowed over by a running back elbow. Nykk bounces off the ropes and hits a running kick to the chest. He gives Fox a snap suplex and floats over into a two count. He lifts Fox into a powerslam position and runs to the corner. He leaps onto the second turnbuckle and leaps off with Fox, but Fox escapes and lands behind Nykk. He grabs a waistlock, and Nykk elbows his way out of it. He bounces off the ropes, but Fox nails a standing enzugiri. Nykk staggers, and Fox takes him down with a tiger buster. He covers and gets a two count. Fox whips Nykk into the corner and signals for the Tail End. He bounces off the ropes and hooks Nykk, but when he's almost vertical and about to deliver the DDT, Nykk throws him off and Fox lands on his upper back. Nykk says that the games are over, and gives Fox a backbreaker. He knees Fox in the back, and Fox gets to his feet in pain. Nykk kicks the back of the knee and then pulls Fox back to his feet by the leg. Nykk ducks the enzugiri this time, and Fox lands on one foot, but Nykk takes him over with a modified dragon screw. Fox holds his knee as Nykk gives it a senton splash. He applies an Indian Deathlock to work the knee over some more. After about thirty seconds, Fox makes it to the ropes and Nykk breaks the hold. He stomps Fox's head a couple of times and then gives him a shinbreaker. He goes for a figure four, but Fox counters into an inside cradle for two. Nykk gets up and knees Fox in the face. He goes for the Cedarleaf, but Fox quickly gets to the ropes. Nykk keeps a hold of his leg and tries to pull him off. Fox attempts to flip to his feet but lands on his bad leg. Nykk dropkicks the knee and then covers for a two count. He picks Fox up, but Fox gives him a jawbreaker. Fox backs up and gives Nykk a running dropkick, sending him into the corner. Fox charges in for Around the World in 18 Seconds, but Nykk kicks him in the face. Nykk goes to the top rope, but Fox crotches him. He goes up for a superplex, but Nykk throws him down to the mat. Fox rolls to his stomach, but Nykk hits him with a swan splash to the back. Nykk segues right into a single leg crab.)

David: It almost seemed like Nykk was trying to get Fox to lose his temper in the early going, but when that didn't work he fell back to his old strategy of grounding Fox on the mat.

Dick: Fox definitely has the advantage when the pace picks up, but Nykk's done a nice job of keeping it slowed down and working on the limbs Fox needs to mount his main offense.

(Fox stays in the hold for about a minute, but finally makes it to the ropes. Nykk breaks the hold and continues to kick at Fox's knee and back. He goes outside and gets a chair, throwing it into the ring. While Bowers gets rid of the chair, Nykk unties one of the top turnbuckle pads to expose the steel ring. He lifts Fox for a shinbreaker but instead rams his knee into the exposed turnbuckle. Nykk tries the Cedarleaf again, but Fox fights it. Nykk ends up throwing him aside and dropping an elbow. He pulls Fox up and goes for Howling Moon II, but Fox lands on his feet and pushes Nykk into the ropes. Nykk reverses the whip, and Fox holds onto the ropes. Nykk charges, but gets backdropped to the apron. Fox tries to baseball slide into Nykk's ankle, but Nykk jumps and Fox slides to the floor. He pulls Nykk off the apron, and Nykk hits his head on the way down. Fox goes back in the ring and bounces off the ropes, flying outside with a tope onto Nykk. They both lie on the floor for about a minute, but Bowers isn't about to count them out. Fox gets up first and rams Nykk into the guardrail. He brings him around the ringside area, but Nykk pushes Fox into the ring post. He gives him a charging European Uppercut to the back of the head, smacking Fox's head into the post again. Nykk then clears off the timekeeper's table and swipes it. He sets it up diagonally to the ring and then brings Fox onto the apron. He lifts him in a fireman's carry for a rolling Samoan Drop through the table, but Fox hits him with right hands and gets back to the apron. He elbows Nykk in the face and then vaults to the top turnbuckle, giving Nykk the Fox Fire off the apron and through the table. They both lie motionless again, but once again Fox gets up first. He rolls Nykk into the ring and covers for a close two count. Fox goes for the Tail End once again, but Nykk throws him off. He tries a kick, but Fox catches his foot. Nykk tries an enzugiri, but Fox ducks and Nykk kicks Bowers right in the jaw. Bowers goes down, and Fox gives Nykk a drop toehold. Fox spins around Nykk and hooks his arms, giving him a reverse tiger suplex. Nykk uses the corner to get up, but Fox charges with a shoulderblock, starting Around the World in 18 Seconds. He whips Nykk to the opposite corner and hits a charging clothesline. He then whips Nykk into a third corner and goes for another running shoulderblock, but Nykk jumps up to sit on the top turnbuckle, and Fox goes shoulder first into the post. Nykk grabs Fox's legs and applies a hanging version of the Cedarleaf. Bowers is still down, and there's no one to break the hold so Nykk keeps stretching Fox. Finally, Fox manages to force his legs down and somersault Nykk from the top. Nykk rolls to his feet, however, and waits behind Fox as he gets up. He goes for Howling Moon II again, but Fox escapes and dropkicks him front first into the exposed corner. Fox goes up for a standard Fox Fire, but Nykk staggers into the ropes and crotches him. He goes to the outside and climbs the turnbuckles, duking it out with Fox. He motions that he's going to give Fox the Nykkochet all the way to the arena floor. However, Fox kicks his legs as Nykk lifts him and lands back on the top rope. Nykk tries to take him over again, but Fox shifts his weight and gives Nykk the Tail End from the top, all the way to the mat. Fox crawls over and makes the cover, but Bowers is still out. He lies on top of Nykk for about fifteen seconds, and finally Keith Young runs out and slides in. He makes the count, but Nykk barely gets a shoulder up at two. Frustrated, Fox kicks Nykk in the head and then gives him a headbutt. Nykk is still disoriented and takes some wild swings that don't connect. Fox trips Nykk to his stomach and then puts a knee in his back, wrenching back on Nykk's neck with both hands.)

David: Fox would have had Nykk with that hellacious Tail End from the top rope if a referee had been conscious. Now he's going right back to work on the neck.

Dick: That Irish Temper is coming out, David, but not at the time Nykk intended. Instead of flustering him and allowing Nykk to take advantage of it, it's just making Fox more and more vicious now that he has Nykk in a nearly comatose state.

(Fox crosses Nykk's arms in front of his face and stands up, placing a foot on his back while pulling up on the neck. Fox then puts his foot on the back of Nykk's head and lets go of the arms, driving Nykk's face into the mat in a modified curb stomp. He gives Nykk a vertical suplex and follows up with a somersault legdrop. He signals that he's going to fly, and goes up top. He hits a guillotine legdrop and covers for a two count. He picks Nykk up, and Nykk starts fighting back with right hands. Fox hits him across the back with forearms and then bounces off the ropes, giving him a kneelift. Nykk staggers over to the ropes and Fox dropkicks him. Nykk falls to the outside, and Fox follows him out. He rams Nykk into the guardrail and then goes up to the apron. He slingshots up and bounces backwards off the top rope with a moonsault, but Nykk catches him and rams him head first into the post. They both lie on the floor, and Nykk manages to roll Fox into the ring. Nykk goes for a running bulldog, but Fox shoves him into the corner and hits a German suplex with a bridge for a two count. Fox applies a dragon sleeper, pushing his knee into Nykk's back. Nykk tries to fight to his feet, but Fox keeps kneeing him in the back. Nykk fades, and Young drops Nykk's hand twice. On the third time, Nykk keeps his hand up and works his way to his feet. Fox keeps the dragon sleeper applied, and Nykk hits him with right hands to get loose. He bounces off the ropes, but Fox applies a standard sleeper, jumping onto Nykk's back. Nykk tries to keep on his feet, but eventually sinks to both knees. Nykk, however, manages to get to his feet after a couple of minutes. Fox jumps on his back again, but Nykk rams him back into the corner. Fox keeps the hold applied, and Nykk runs to the opposite corner, ramming Fox's head into the top turnbuckle. Fox, however, keeps the hold applied. Finally, Nykk runs him to the exposed corner, ramming Fox's knee into the steel ring. Fox lets go and crumbles to the mat as Nykk falls also. Young starts the ten count, and Nykk and Fox are up at nine. Fox gives Nykk a right, and Nykk retaliates with a chop. They exchange rights and chops, and finally Nykk socks Fox in the eye with a hard left to bring him down. He goes for the Trinity again, and gets the back suplex and then the German. He goes for the dragon, but Fox drops down to his back. Nykk picks him up wheelbarrow style and drops him right back into the full nelson, finally hitting the release dragon suplex. Young starts the count again, and Nykk gets to his feet at seven. He brings Fox up to his feet, but Fox rams Nykk back into the corner, sandwiching Young. Young falls to the mat, and Fox rams Nykk into the corner again. He jumps to the second rope and vaults off backwards for the Tail End, but Nykk doesn't go down and rams Fox into the corner this time. He backs up and charges Fox, nailing him with a running European Uppercut. Fox falls to a sitting position, and Nykk bounces off the ropes, charging Fox and hitting a running knee to the face as hard as he can. Fox holds his eye, and Nykk bounces off the ropes, giving him the half nelson bulldog. He quickly applies the Cedarleaf, and Fox tries to get to the ropes. Nykk pulls him back to the center of the ring and drops back for the Limit Break Version. After a few moments, Fox taps out, but Young is still out. Nykk holds him in the Cedarleaf for about twenty seconds before he realizes that Young isn't waking up. He lets go of the hold and goes over to shake Young. Young doesn't wake up, and Nykk rolls him out of the ring, calling for a new ref. David Bowers comes out, still holding his jaw. Fox gives Nykk a drop toehold and tries to segue into a Carrion Stretch, but Nykk quickly reaches the ropes.)

David: Unbelievable, we're forty-five minutes into this match and it should have been over twice by now. Bowers has recovered, apparently, and is back out here, but that doesn't help Nykk, who just made Fox tap out.

Dick: It could be over at any time now, as it looks like Nykk has gotten a second wind, but Fox once again stopped him.

(Fox tries to pull Nykk off the ropes, but Nykk hits a drop toehold of his own, sending Fox face first into the exposed turnbuckle. Nykk notices that Fox's eye is starting to swell up, and he goes to work on the face with right hands. He rams Fox's head into one of the other turnbuckles and then kicks him in the midsection. He whips Fox to the opposite corner and charges, but Fox vaults over the top rope to land on the apron. He blocks a right hand from Nykk and headbutts him, hurting his own face. Nykk slingshots Fox back into the ring and gets behind him, hitting Howling Moon I. He covers, but only gets a two count. He whips Fox into the ropes and puts his head down, but Fox manages to somersault over him with a sunset flip attempt. However, Nykk hooks his legs and sits across his shoulders for a close two count. He bounces off the ropes for a lariat, but Fox ducks it and rolls Nykk up for a crucifix for a two count. He bounces off the ropes himself, but Nykk knees him in the midsection. Fox gets to his feet, but Nykk rakes the bad eye. He gives him a couple of palm strikes to the face, and Fox's eye starts to bleed a little bit. Nykk kicks Fox in the face and tells him that he's sorry, but it's time to end this. He goes for the Aurora Driver, and Fox kicks his feet around to keep from being dropped. He drops back to his feet, but Nykk takes him over with a northern lights suplex, bridging for two. Nykk goes back to the side headlock takeover, but Fox counters into a hammerlock, but Nykk rolls through and kicks Fox in the face. He bounces off the ropes, but Fox hits him with a spinning heel kick. He bounces off the ropes, but Nykk catches him with a hurricanrana, getting a two count. They get to their feet and give each other simultaneous clotheslines. They both roll to the ropes so they can't be pinned, and manage to get up by the six count. Nykk gives Fox a back elbow the eye, and Fox takes a swing, which Nykk is able to avoid since Fox can barely see out of his bleeding eye. Nykk clips the knee to send Fox down and goes to the top rope. He comes down with a double axehandle, and then signals for Howling Moon II. Fox counters into a reverse DDT and covers for a two count. Just after the two count, Jared Schrunk announces that there are five minutes remaining in the time limit. Fox whips Nykk into a corner and manages to hit Around the World in 18 Seconds without interruption. On the last one, Nykk hits the exposed turnbuckle and staggers out in pain, bent over. Fox bounces off the ropes and goes for the Tail End, but Nykk sets him on the top rope. He hits Fox with a hard right hand to stagger him, and then goes up. He goes for the Nykkochet, and gets Fox over with a northern lights superplex. Nykk rolls backwards and brings Fox to his feet for a second northern lights, but Fox forearms him in the back and goes for a piledriver. Nykk blocks it by dropping to one knee and then lifts Fox into a fireman's carry, hitting a rolling Samoan Drop and bridging back without letting go for a close two count. He whips Fox into the ropes, but Fox reverses and kicks Nykk, hitting a swinging neckbreaker and covering for two. He backs up and nails Nykk with a clothesline, dropping on top for another two count. He bounces off the ropes again, but Nykk drops down and hits the running leg lariat on the rebound. He covers and just barely gets a two count. Nykk wrings his hair out in frustration. He snapmares Fox over and dropkicks him in the back of the head, covering for another two count. He bounces off the ropes, but Fox takes him down with a reverse elbow. He covers once again, but just gets a two count. Both men get to their knees and start slugging it out with rights. Fox gets the better of Nykk, even with Nykk hitting him in the eye. Fox tries to bounce off the ropes, but Nykk grabs him by the pants and pulls him back in to forearm the back. He quickly hits Howling Moon II and covers, but Fox just manages to kick out. Nykk can't believe it, and starts to lose it. He kicks at the ropes in frustration, and then goes for the Aurora Driver on Fox as Schrunk announces that there is one minute left. Fox escapes, but Nykk kicks him in the midsection. He bounces off the ropes for another kick, but Fox catches his foot and pulls Nykk to his stomach, locking in the Carrion Stretch in the middle of the ring. Nykk tries to fight, but he starts to fade. With thirty seconds left, Fox torques back even more on Nykk's neck, and Nykk starts to lose consciousness. Finally, Bowers drops Nykk's limp hand. He drops the hand again. However, just as he lifts Nykk's arm for the third time, the time limit expires and the bell rings. Fox lets go of the hold and falls to his back, not believing he came so close to winning the title.)

Winner: Time Limit Draw

David: I don't believe it, ladies and gentlemen. The time limit expired just before Nykk could lose his title!

Dick: And Fox can't believe it! Look at him!

David: These two threw everything they had at each other, and the match was over twice, but with the refs knocked down, it continued. What a classic encounter we've just witnessed here at Scared Stiff.

(Nykk wakes up as the decision is announced, and he's handed his belt. Bowers tries to raise his hand, as he retained, but Nykk will have none of it. He gets up and looks Fox in the eye.)

David: What's going to happen here? The tears are flowing, these two realize that they just put on a clinic, but for the first time, there was no winner between these two.

(Fox calls for a mic.)

Fox: Nykk... we just did it again. But I didn't get the job done, and you are still the MECCA Champion. The rematches and new strategies can wait. For now...

(Fox throws down the mic and extends his hand. Nykk shakes his hand and they embrace. "Destroy" plays as Fox exits the ring.)

David: I think we've just seen total forgiveness of Nykk by Ronin Fox for the atrocities of the past. What class shown by Fox, disappointed as he is that he's not MECCA Champion.

Dick: That was one of the best matches I've seen in my life, and what a feather in the cap for these two that they got to do it in their hometown.

David: I'm sure Fox will be looking for a rematch, but until then, Nykk will remain MECCA Champion. Thank you for joining us here at Scared Stiff, fans. Be sure to join us this Wednesday for the first Go Time on FSN, and until that time, have a happy and safe Halloween. Good night!
