("Wargasm" by L7 hits, and a Bloody Valentine logo is shown. It then cuts to the arena, where fans are filing in.)
David: We're just a half an hour away from MECCA's first big event, Bloody Valentine, live on pay-per-view! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli. Tonight, the Round Robin for the MECCA Championship begins, as we have three big matches. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson will wrestle twice, once against C.M. Punk, and later in the night against Low Ki. And that's a match that's main evented many a card, and never fails to deliver.
Dick: That's right, we're counting down to Bloody Valentine here in Cincinnati, and if any of you here in the Cincy area want to join us live, come on down! Call your friends, tell them to get down here, because our ticket guys aren't going anywhere. For the rest of you, please join us live on pay-per-view. Not only does the Round Robin start, but so does the International Invitational Tag Team Tournament for the MECCA Tag Team Championship. Two first round matches, as the Pyro Twins take on Reckless Abandon of Delirious and Spanky, and the Eccentrics take on Kaientai Deluxe.
David: It was the Eccentrics who originally asked for this grudge match, but it was made part of the tournament by MECCA Committee Chairman, Katie Piehl. But this all started on our very first show, where a nasty surprise turned up from Huh and Cheesecake's past.
(Clips are shown of Trent Acid giving Cheesecake the Acid Bomb from the 1/4 Go Time, and getting the pin, and then leaving.)
Dick: It looks like Acid is heading for the concession stands.
(In the ring, Huh helps Cheesecake up when a voice blares over the PA.)
Voice: Hey! Eccentrics!
(The camera switches to the aisle, where a pudgy man in a black leather coat is walking toward the ring.)
David: Who the hell is that?
Dick: Oh my... that's referee David Caldwell!
David: No way! The last time the wrestling business saw him was last May, when the Eccentrics literally threw him through a table!
(The Eccentrics look shocked to see Caldwell.)
Caldwell: I bet you thought you'd never see my face again, did you? Well, I'm back here at the very place that where you two sent me to the hospital! I've been waiting months to get my revenge, and now the time has come! No, I won't be facing you myself. I had to go off the continent to find two guys willing to take you out. No, it wasn't South America this time. I went to Japan, and acquired the services of one of the most devious groups in the entire world. So without further adieu, I introduce... Dick Togo and Men's Teioh... Kaientai Deluxe!
(Kaientai DX runs down to the ring and circle it as Cheesecake and Huh prepare for a fight.)
David: Who else is going to appear tonight? Who would have ever thought we'd see KDX right here in Dayton?
(KDX enters the ring, and Togo goes after Huh while Cheesecake tangles with Teioh. Cheesecake whips Teioh into the ropes, but Teioh dropkicks his knee, and Cheesecake goes down. Huh gets the better of Togo with punches and backs him into a corner. He whips him to the opposite side, but Togo reverses and sends him into a spinning DDT from Teioh. Togo lifts Cheesecake by the leg and hooks it behind his own head in a submission hold, hanging Cheesecake upside down. Teioh bounces off the ropes and dropkicks Cheesecake in the face. He then picks up Huh and gives him the Miracle Ecstasy. Togo goes to the top rope and comes off with a senton splash across Huh's chest. Kaientai leaves the ring and stands by David Caldwell.)
Caldwell: What you've seen here is only the beginning, Huh and Cheesecake! I'll show you what happens when you try to "foul" the referee!
(Cut to a clip from the 2/1 Go Time.)
(In the ring, Huh and Cheesecake congratulate Spanky and Delirious, who then roll out of the ring and head up the aisle, along with the Pyro Twins. David Caldwell gets in the ring and starts yelling at the Eccentrics.)
David: What does this bug want? If he's not careful, he's going to get more of what happened to him at Wrestling Revolution I.
(As the Eccentrics stalk Caldwell, KDX rolls into the ring and take the Eccentrics down from behind. They hit the Eccentrics with right hands, but Huh reverses a whip from Teioh and hits a back body drop. Cheesecake gets a waistlock on Togo and he and Huh hit the Flathead. Cheesecake tells Huh to go up top, and he gives Teioh the Long Kiss Goodnight. Huh hits a moonsault from the top onto Teioh. They go after Caldwell, but he quickly ducks out of the ring. Cheesecake gets a mic.)
David: KDX tried to ambush the Eccentrics, but they were just turned back!
Cheesecake: All right, Caldwell... we th'ee that you won't th'top until you once again prove what a th'cab you are! Th'o me and Huh would like to make a challenge to bring your boy'th to Bloody Valentine on February 12 in Th'in'th'innati, and we'll show you that win or lose, th'omebody's going down! And Caldwell... you better pray that it'th not you!
("Pajamarama" plays and the Eccentrics exit the ring.)
David: The challenge has been laid out by the Eccentrics. They want KDX in the ring at Bloody Valentine.
Dick: The Eccentrics don't realize what they've gotten themselves into. They may have been the first RCW Tag Team Champions, but Men's Teioh and Dick Togo are world class wrestlers. The Eccentrics are going to get hurt if this challenge is accepted.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with David Caldwell and Dick Togo.)
Bill: David Caldwell, tonight you were supposed to lead your team of Dick Togo and Men's Teioh against the Eccentrics, but I only see one half of your team here.
David: That's because he's not here tonight, Bill. Let me explain. Late last night, the Eccentrics knew they weren't going to be able to beat KDX, so what did they do? They called USAir, which was handling Teioh's flight arrangements, pretending to be him. They cancelled his flight, and USAir accepted their story without any kind of proof of ID. The only thing sadder than the state of our airway systems is the fact that the Eccentrics would stoop so low just to avoid an ass-kicking. But rest assured, the fans will get their money's worth tonight, because Dick Togo is making a challenge to either one of the Eccentrics. I talked to Katie Piehl, who told me that our tournament match would be delayed until this Tuesday on Go Time, but tonight it's all right if I make a singles match. Huh, Cheesecake, you better be calling your own airlines and seeing when the next flight leaves, because after one of you faces Togo tonight, you'll want to get out of town.
Bill: There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, our first surprise of the night. Men's Teioh couldn't make it, but Togo has challenged one of the Eccentrics in a singles match.
(Back in the arena, David Mills and Dick Broccoli are now standing in the ring.)
David: How about that? I guess card really is subject to change after all. I truly apologize to any of you fans who were looking forward to that match, but it will take place this coming Tuesday. Now, also on tap tonight, is Lisa Letty's first title defense of the Ladies' Title against LuFisto. This has also been brewing since our first show, where Lisa became our first Ladies' Champ.
(A video package is shown, narrated by Bill Bicknell.)
Bill: It all started on the very first Go Time, as Lisa Letty and LuFisto were the last two in a Turmoil Match to determine the Ladies' Champ. It was back and forth for a while, but the loser did not take her loss very graciously.
(Clips from the Turmoil Match on 1/4 are shown, ending with Lisa pinning LuFisto for the Ladies' Title.)
David: We have our first Ladies' Champion, and her name is Lisa Letty! The underdog pulled off two major upsets, first against Shadow and then against LuFisto!
(The ref hands Lisa the MECCA Ladies' Championship, and Lisa holds it up triumphantly. However, LuFisto suddenly attacks from behind, sending Lisa down with a forearm. LuFisto looks at Lisa as if she herself can't believe she just did that and quickly leaves the ring.)
David: What the hell was that all about?
Dick: I don't know, but LuFisto is definitely frustrated. She had the high draw going in, and I don't think she expected Lisa to have the ability to beat her.
Bill: It seemed like LuFisto got caught up in the moment, until two weeks later when she made these comments.
(From the 1/18 Go Time.)
LuFisto: And when I saw her hold that belt over her head, I just couldn't take it anymore. I saw exactly what pissed me off in RCW... the Ladies' Championship in someone else's hands. You pinned me once, Lisa, but tonight allow me to return the favor. By beating you, I secure my shot at the Ladies' Title, but is that good enough? I'm not so sure, so tonight I've provided a little surprise for you.
(Clips of La Felina and LuFisto attacking Lisa Letty follow.)
Bill: That surprise turned out to be a competitor named La Felina, who seemed awfully familiar.
(Clips from 1/25 are shown. Felina has the Christo locked in on Lisa.)
Dick: Felina has a Christo locked in on Lisa Letty... is... is that who I think it is?
(Lisa starts to fade, and eventually collapses. As Felina continues to apply the Christo, LuFisto walks over and takes Felina's mask off, revealing Gail Kim.)
David: It was Gail Kim under the mask!
Dick: Gail Kim was released by WWE back in November, and now she's teaming up with LuFisto?
LuFisto: Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce La Felina... or as you all know her, Gail Kim!
(Kim releases the hold and stands up.)
LuFisto: What we have right here is the leading one-two punch of the Ladies' Division here in MECCA. The best of the brawlers... and the submission expert. Ladies, and especially you, champ, you've just been put on notice. The Dangerous Liaison is here to dominate!
("Fell in Love with a Girl" plays, and LuFisto and Kim leave as Lisa starts to regain consciousness in the ring.)
Bill: With this new force in women's wrestling, this Dangerous Liaison, will Lisa Letty be able to hold onto the Ladies' Title tonight against her former trainer? Or will LuFisto and Gail Kim prove that might makes right?
(In the arena, David and Dick are at the broadcast booth.)
David: It's certainly going to be hell unleashed for the Ladies' Title, the only active title currently in MECCA until we crown our other champions. Dick, what does LuFisto have to do to take the title from Lisa?
Dick: Obviously, she can't get disqualified or counted out, and Gail Kim has been pretty blatant with her interference. So unless Kim can be more subtle, LuFisto's not winning the title that way. One thing LuFisto has on Lisa is experience. She also helped train Lisa, along with Jon Z and Nykk, so she knows all her weaknesses. Due to her diminutive size, Lisa often uses her opponent's own momentum against them, so LuFisto needs to hit her with strikes to make sure that she doesn't end up grappling with Lisa.
("Closer" hits and Trent Acid makes his way to the ring.)
David: Well, we're ready for our warm up match here on the Bloody Valentine countdown!
Dick: Trent Acid will be taking on Cynric once again, a rematch from last week's Go Time.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
David: The martial artist Cynric is definitely a tough customer, but when he competes in RCW, it took him a long time to get something going for himself. Maybe he thought MECCA would be different for him, but so far he's been running up against those same roadblocks.
Dick: The fact of the matter is, Cynric is in the shadow of his little brother Ronin Fox. He always has been in every organization they've competed in together. What he should do is take out his brother, and then I think we'd see Cynric rising very quickly.
David: Do you even realize how awful that sounds?
Dick: Yes.
(FINISH: Acid goes for the Acid Bomb, but Cynric counters into a hurricanrana. He goes for the Lift Off, but Acid rolls out of the way. He pokes Cynric in the eyes and goes for a superkick, but Cynric blocks it and hits a spinning back kick to Trent's midsection. Cynric hits the Shock Cannon and covers, but Acid gets a foot on the bottom rope. Acid tries to roll out of the ring, but Cynric grabs him and scoops him up to throw him back in the ring. Acid grabs the top rope and makes Cynric lose his balance. Cynric falls to his back, and Acid puts his feet on the ropes for extra leverage to get the three count.)
Winner: Trent Acid
David: Trent Acid pulls out the victory with some blatant cheating! This guy's just a degenerate.
Dick: But he did get a pretty big win, so he's a smart degenerate. Trent Acid just might be going places here in MECCA.
David: Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, live on pay-per-view, the Round Robin for the MECCA Championship will begin. Three big matches. Bryan Danielson vs. C.M. Punk. Nykk vs. Ronin Fox. And in the main event, Bryan Danielson pulls double duty against Low Ki. We're going to show you how this whole Round Robin began.
(Clips from Go Time: 1/4 are shown.)
Nykk: This is a promotion where only the tough survive, and no, I'm not talking ECW garbage match tough. I'm talking knock you out, break your bones, kick you in the skull as hard as possible tough. And as everyone knows there is no better way to judge the toughest than by introducing a championship. I don't want to waste any time in doing that, and in case you haven't figured it out... there's a pretty good nominee for champion standing right here in this ring. But I wouldn't just give myself a title... that proves nothing. I've proven a lot during my exploits with RCW, and one of those thing is that I'm one of the best wrestlers in this industry. So tonight, I will have an opponent, and he has agreed to this. The winner of that match will become the first MECCA Champion. Our feud already built one promotion, and it's going to build another. It will be myself against Ronin Fox!
Katie: Hold on! You no longer make the decisions around here.
Nykk: What are you talking about? This is my promotion!
Katie: Yes, this is your promotion, but I talked it over with the board, and we came to the same conclusion. There is a definite conflict of interest in you making booking decisions here in MECCA. Yes, your presence here is one of the main selling points of MECCA, but you are definitely not stable enough to be running this show. That's why the board has given me complete control as the booker of this company, and as a wrestler, you will from this moment on, adhere to my decisions while in the arena!
(Nykk goes ballistic.)
Katie: The MECCA Champion will be crowned, and it will be on April 30 at, appropriately enough, the MECCA Challenge!
(Clips from Go Time: 1/11 are shown.)
Katie: In a tournament, you have a certain number of participants, but due to eliminations there's no guarantee that you will see the matches that you want to see. What I aim to do is fix that, because in this tournament, everybody will wrestle everybody to determine just exactly who is the most worthy of being MECCA Champion. This is what will happen: I will assemble the top five contenders, five of the best wrestlers in the world today, and we'll have a Round Robin Challenge for the title. What that means is that with these five wrestlers, there will be ten matches... everybody will wrestle everybody. The first man to win three out of four of his matches will be presented with the MECCA Championship at the MECCA Challenge on April 30, right here in the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. So to win, you must win at least three matches... and avoid losing twice.
(Clips from 1/25 are shown.)
Katie: And without any further adieu, the first man on the contenders' ballot... C.M. Punk! "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson! Ronin Fox! Nykk! Low Ki!
Dick: This first round is going to be very important in setting the tone for the rest of the Round Robin. It will determine who has the advantage in the next round, and who has an uphill battle to fight.
(The five competitors go at each other, as "Wargasm" hits. From then on, various clips are shown from Nykk and Fox vs. Punk and Steel, Nykk vs. Punk, Low Ki vs. Cynric, Nykk vs. Cynric vs. Danielson, and Fox and Danielson vs. Low Ki and Punk, including Nykk lunging at Punk after the match. Then various soundbytes are heard, accompanying an image of each competitor posing.)
Nykk: And I promise you, if you make it on the conteders' ballot, you will be no different than any of the others.
Low Ki: I'm going to show you why I came so highly recommended.
Danielson: So I just came out to make sure... you'll show up, right?
Fox: Win or lose this match, I will be MECCA Champion!
Punk: You will find out that straight edge is more than just a lifestyle. It's the razor that will cut you, and let your career bleed into nothingness.

("Wargasm" Bloody Valentine opening.)
Narrator: Tonight, Saturday, February 12, 2005... MECCA presents its very first pay-per-view event... Bloody Valentine!
David: Welcome, everyone, to Cincinnati, Ohio! Welcome to our audience who have been following us since the beginning, and those of you joining us for the very first time. I promise you, this will not disappoint! I'm David Mills, along with Dick Broccoli.
Dick: Yes, and any card that has Danielson vs. Punk, Nykk vs. Fox and Danielson vs. Low Ki cannot disappoint.
David: In addition to the Round Robin, the International Invitational starts tonight, and the Ladies' Title will be on the line as Lisa Letty defends against her former trainer LuFisto. But that's coming up later. We're ready to hit the ground running here at Bloody Valentine!
("Miseria Cantare" hits and C.M. Punk makes his way to the ring.)
David: For those of you who have never seen C.M. Punk before, you are in for a treat. This man is a future star in this business, and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone around the world knows who he is sooner rather than later.
Dick: He is also a master of psychology, in the ring and out. Just look at what he's done to Nykk over the last few weeks.
David: Punk has convinced the Pyro Twins to join him instead of continuing their lifelong friendship with Nykk. We don't know how or why, but we do know that the Pyro Twins seem to resent Punk.
("Self Esteem" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring.)
David: International superstar, "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, is a huge favorite in this Round Robin, even though he's never held a major independent title before like the others have.
Dick: You won't get a whole lot of playing to the crowd from Danielson. He's almost Malenko-esque in his attitude. Once the bell rings, he's there to wrestle and he doesn't stop until the match is over.
David: The Round Robin is about to begin, and we're going to have the director put the scoreboard up on screen right now.
(A scoreboard is shown, and everyone's record is 0-0.)
Dick: It's anybody's ballgame right now, David. Whoever wins tonight is going to shape the way the rest of the Round Robin goes.
(Punk and Danielson circle each other, and Punk starts taunting him. He throws a few faux punches at Danielson, and then finally locks up with him. Danielson immediately goes behind Punk and hooks the arms, going for Cattle Mutilation. He almost gets Punk down on the mat, but Punk slips out and falls on his ass, quickly rolling to the ropes. Danielson mocks Punk's X pose, and Punk charges him, but gets an armdrag. Danielson gives him another armdrag, and holds on for the armbar. Punk twists his body around, and kicks Danielson in the head twice to escape. He goes for a double leg takedown, but Danielson sprawls out and spins behind him. Punk sits out, and gets to his feet, but Danielson rides him with a waistlock. He lifts Punk into the air and slams him into the mat, spinning around him to apply a front facelock. Punk gets an arm up and flips over, countering into a Fujiwara armbar. Danielson rolls over and takes Punk over with a modified crucifix, getting a one count. Punk rolls backwards to his feet, but Danielson sweeps his legs and covers for another one count. They get to their feet and Danielson takes Punk over with another armdrag, and then a Japanese armdrag. Punk rolls out of the ring to regroup. Danielson goes out after him and throws him back into the ring. He applies an armwringer on Punk, flipping him to his back. Danielson drops his leg on Punk's arm. He then goes for a dragon suplex, but Punk hooks Danielson's leg with one of his own to block it. He breaks his grip and pulls Danielson down by grabbing his other leg. Danielson uses his other leg to push Punk shoulder first into the ring post. Punk holds his arm in pain as Danielson gets up and charges. He goes for a Stinger Splash, but Punk moves. Danielson hits his head, and Punk sends him down with a back elbow. He picks Danielson up and hits Welcome to Chicago, Motherf*cker. He covers and gets a two count. He gives Danielson a vertical suplex and then goes to the second rope. He waits for Danielson to get up and tries a double axehandle, but Danielson blocks it and counters with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Danielson applies a hammerlock, and lifts Punk into the air, letting Punk's own weight apply more pressure to the arm. He drops Punk to his feet and hooks the arms, going for Cattle Mutilation again. Punk won't go down, however, and Danielson tries a tiger suplex instead. Punk counters with a victory roll, getting a two count. They get to their feet, and Danielson nails Punk with a superkick. Punk backs into a corner, and Danielson hits him with knife-edge chops. Punk pokes him in the eye, and throws him into the corner, hitting some chops of his own. He whips Danielson into the ropes and goes for a back body drop, but Danielson shifts his weight and lands on his feet in front of Punk. He kicks him and delivers a snap underhook DDT, covering for a two count. Danielson measures Punk, and then bounces off the ropes. He goes for a Yakuza Kick, but Punk avoids it and hits a neckbreaker. Punk gives Danielson a back suplex and covers for a two count.)
(Danielson sits up, and Punk kicks him in the face. He gives Danielson a vertical suplex, and floats over for another two count. He whips Danielson into the ropes, and applies a sleeper. Danielson loses consciousness and slumps to the mat. However, his hand only drops once before he gets to his feet and elbows Punk in the ribs. He whips Punk into the ropes, but Punk sends Danielson back down with a clothesline. Punk goes to the top rope and hits the crooked leg moonsault, covering for a two count. He whips Danielson into a corner, and charges. Danielson tries to dropkick Punk in the knee, but Punk jumps over him and onto the second rope. He turns around and hits a blockbuster on Danielson. He brings Danielson over to the ropes and puts his head in between the top and middle ropes, pulling up on his chin to stretch his neck across the top rope. The ref gives Punk a five count, and Punk lets go at four. The ref pulls him away as Danielson slumps into a sitting position in the corner. Punk moves back in and gives Danielson the Face Wash. He bounces off the ropes and delivers a Yakuza Kick to Danielson's head, seemingly knocking him out. Punk decides to go for one more and bounces off the ropes, but Danielson moves out of the way of the kick, and Punk crotches himself across the middle rope. The ref starts counting both men down, but they're on their feet by six. Punk slaps Danielson across the chest, and Danielson responds with one of his own. Punk gives Danielson a chop, and Danielson responds in kind, adding a couple more. He whips Punk into the ropes, but Punk reverses. Danielson slides under Punk's legs and takes him over with a monkey flip. He sends Punk down with some elbow strikes and goes for a Roaring Elbow, but Punk ducks and bounces off the ropes. Danielson puts his head down, and Punk goes for a swinging DDT. Danielson puts Punk back on his feet and counters with a northern lights suplex. He gets a two count, but has to let go, as his neck is taking its toll. He picks Punk up, but Punk elbows Danielson. Danielson whips him into the corner, but Punk reverses. Danielson strikes the corner hard, wrenching back his neck. He holds his neck as Punk charges for a shoulder block, but Danielson moves and Punk crashes shoulder first into the ring post. Danielson applies Cattle Mutilation on Punk, but before Punk can tap out, Danielson lets go and holds his neck. Punk sees what's going on, and stomps on Danielson's head. He goes to the top rope, but Danielson comes over and hits him in the stomach. He goes up to execute a superplex, but Punk knees Danielson in the face to make him let go. Punk hits the Pepsi Plunge, and covers Danielson for the three count.)
Winner: C.M. Punk
David: C.M. Punk wins his first match in the Round Robin! But the bigger story here is what is up with the American Dragon's neck? Punk was working on it, but he seemed to be fine until he hit the corner.
(A replay is shown of Danielson being whipped into the corner.)
Dick: It looks like all of Punk's weakening of the neck paid off right here when Danielson collided with the corner. Danielson couldn't even hold his finisher on Punk for long.
David: And Danielson has another match tonight against Low Ki! He's one in the hole already, and if he loses this one, he's out of the running.
(The ref helps Danielson back to the ring as Punk walks over to the announcing table.)
David: What is this?
(Punk puts on a headset.)
Dick: Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we're being joined by the man who just won his first victory in the Round Robin, C.M. Punk!
Punk: It's certainly therapeutic for me to be out here giving my thoughts on the next match, especially after a crushing victory like you just witnessed.
David: Just exactly why are you here, Punk?
("Burning Times" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
Punk: You're seeing the reason right now. I'm here to witness my boys, the Pyro Twins, take their first victory in the International Invitational right here tonight!
David: And just why are the Pyro Twins with you, Punk? We still can't figure this one out.
Dick: What kind of a question is that? Obviously, they wanted to team up with the top player in MECCA, and that's C.M. Punk now, not Nykk.
Punk: Exactly.
("Can't Stop" hits and Reckless Abandon makes their way to the ring. Delirious is crawling on his knees as Spanky bops in rhythm with the music.)
David: He's tweakin' out!
Punk: Hey, he may be a bad dancer, but it's no reason to accuse him of having a problem.
David: I was talking about Delirious.
Dick: This is our first match in the International Invitational, a double elimination tournament to crown the MECCA Tag Team Champions. Future bouts will be held with teams from different countries, but for this match, these two teams both represent the good old USA!
(FINISH: Spanky and Dusty get the hot tags. Spanky ducks a clothesline and bounces off the ropes, giving Dusty a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. He gives him some clotheslines and takes him down with a drop toehold. He whips Dusty into the ropes, but gets reversed. Spanky hits Dusty with a standing enzugiri and covers for a two count. He goes for Sliced Bread #2, but Jay comes in. As Spanky gets over Dusty's body, he traps Jay's head between his feet. He lets go of Dusty and takes Jay over with a headscissors. However, the distraction allows Dusty to bowl him over with a hard shoulderblock. He and Jay whip Spanky into the ropes, but Spanky leaps to the second rope and vaults off into a high cross body. The Pyro Twins catch him, but Delirious comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick to Spanky's back that sends them over. Spanky gets the cover on both, but only gets two. Delirious hits Dusty with right hands as Spanky takes on Jay. They back the Pyro Twins into opposite corners and try to whip them into each other. Jay and Dusty reverse. Delirious leapfrogs Spanky, but gets caught by Jay with a belly to belly suplex. Spanky leaps at Dusty and tries a swinging DDT back to the center of the ring, but Dusty throws him off. Jay and Dusty hit Final Darkness, and Dusty covers for the three count.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins
David: The Pyro Twins are the first to advance, in one hell of a contest.
Dick: These four guys had great chemistry, but the experienced teamwork of Jay and Dusty paid off.
Punk: What you have just seen right here is why I will dominate this industry. Because I know how to network. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go congratulate my boys.
(Punk gets into the ring, and grabs the mic.)
Punk: Cut the music! Jay, Dusty, today you have validated me, because I now know that I have made the right choice. You two are unstoppable! I needed to see you win this match, because quite frankly, when you arrived here in MECCA a few weeks ago, you were an embarrassment.
(Jay and Dusty glare at Punk.)
Punk: And look what happens when you align yourself with the right people, and make better lifestyle choices. It sets you one step above every wrestler in this promotion, and way above all these fans out here! But I've seen enough. Your job is not to win the MECCA Tag Team Titles, it's to assure that I am able to win the MECCA Championship without having to worry about people, such as certain owners, from messing with my chances. So no matter who you face, your job in this tournament is done. In your next match, the Pyro Twins will make a graceful exit from the upper brackets.
(Jay and Dusty look at each other in disbelief. Jay yells, "You want us to throw our next match!?" Dusty tries to hold him back, but Jay escapes and grabs Punk by his shirt collar, forcing him into the corner.)
Jay: I've had about enough of you, Punk! We're the Pyro Twins! We don't throw matches...
Punk: Let go of me, right now!
(He shoves Jay away.)
Punk: Maybe you need a little reminder about why you're doing this. Look over there.
(Punk points to the first row, where a man who looks like Jay is sitting in the front row. His expression is calm as he watches everything, and he smiles at Jay. Jay wrings his hands together in frustration and storms from the ring, heading to the back.)
Dick: Who is that?
David: Oh my... I haven't seen him in a long time, but... that looks like… Jay's brother, Eddie. And he's dressed like C.M. Punk.
Dick: That's Jay's brother!?
David: I think so. Ladies and gentlemen, you'll have to forgive me if I seem a little lost, but... Eddie Crowe with C.M. Punk?
("Miseria Cantare" plays as Punk gives Eddie the X sign. Eddie returns it, and Punk starts to laugh. He motions for Dusty to follow him and they exit the ring.)
David: I don't know what Jay's younger brother is doing with C.M. Punk, but the plot has definitely thickened here at Bloody Valentine. Up next, we have a classic mentor vs. student match as well as the first Ladies' Title defense by our champion, Lisa Letty.
("Fell in Love with a Girl" hits and LuFisto makes her way to the ring, along with Gail Kim.)
Dick: This is definitely one Dangerous Liaison, David. Kim, the submission expert, and LuFisto, the First Lady of Hardcore, and was once nicknamed "Bloody Lucy" in her Precious Lucy days.
David: Having Gail Kim, former WWE Diva, out here changes the complexion of this match, because we've seen these two playing head games with Lisa Letty for a month now.
("Edge of Seventeen" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring.)
David: Lisa Letty won a Turmoil Match back at our first show to become the Ladies' Champion, and has really stepped up and come into her own since then.
Dick: She has about two years of experience under her belt now. Lisa's starting to learn what it takes to get ahead in the wrestling business and win some titles, and the journey she started in RCW is continuing right here in MECCA.
(FINISH: LuFisto goes for LuFisto's Law, but Lisa counters with a double leg takedown and slingshots LuFisto into the top turnbuckle. She executes a German suplex and bridges for a two count. Lisa goes to the top rope and hits the Letty Press, but Gail pulls referee Rya Zay out of the ring. Zay warns Kim about interfering, and Lisa goes over to yell at her. LuFisto tries a clothesline, but Lisa ducks and hits a monkey flip. She tries to whip LuFisto into the ropes, but it gets reversed. Instead of bouncing off the ropes, Lisa gives Gail a baseball slide to the face. LuFisto moves in, but gets kicked in the midsection. Lisa goes to the second rope and puts LuFisto in a headlock. She tries a bulldog, but LuFisto places her back on her feet and counters with a Saito suplex. She bounces off the ropes as Gail gets up, holding her face. Gail trips LuFisto, thinking that it's Lisa. LuFisto staggers into Lisa, who gives her the Letty Driver and covers for the three count.)
Winner: Lisa Letty
David: A bit of miscommunication by Kim and LuFisto caused Lisa to plant her former mentor and retain!
Dick: Great job by Letty, taking out the interference, but I don't think even she could anticipate that Gail would make an error like that.
David: I'd hate to be in the Liaison's locker room and hear the screech-fest that those two are going to have.
(LuFisto and Kim argue back to the locker room as Lisa poses with the belt.)
Dick: Up next, however, the Round Robin continues and I can't wait to see Nykk and Ronin Fox go at it once again.
David: It's been a year since their feud in RCW ended, but will that uneasy peace of the past year last? Nykk seems to be concentrating more on the situation with C.M. Punk and the Pyro Twins than on rekindling a feud with Fox.
Dick: And that could play to Fox's advantage, as Nykk is even money against Fox at the best of times, when he's able to throw all his concentration into his work. Will Punk's head games affect that?
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.)
David: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to be hearing a more fan friendly reaction for Nykk recently.
Dick: Nykk is one of the most notorious personalities in independent wrestling, but any fan who has seen him in RCW definitely respect his talents inside the ring. Perhaps some of that respect has turned into admiration.
David: I talked to him earlier, and he said that tonight his singular goal is to get that all-important first win in the Round Robin. His nemesis C.M. Punk already got his, so the pressure's on for Nykk.
("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
David: At first glance, Fox may seem like the underdog in this Round Robin. He may seem content to have let Nykk and C.M. Punk be franchise players in their respective organizations, and he may not be as well-traveled as Bryan Danielson or seem to lack the intensity of Low Ki, but this guy has achieved a lot of success, albeit in a more subdued way.
Dick: Well, you won't have to worry about Nykk not taking him seriously. He knows what Fox is all about. This contest goes to the first one to make a major mistake, in my opinion.
(Nykk and Fox lock fingers in a Greco-Roman Knucklelock. They don't try and see who's stronger, but try to gain a leverage advantage to force the other to the mat. After several moments of grappling, Nykk kicks Fox's right hand away and pulls him in with the other, applying a headlock. Fox tries whipping Nykk into the ropes, but Nykk holds on to the headlock. Fox lands some shots to Nykk's ribs, but he still won't let go. Finally, he tries to counter with a back suplex, but Nykk lands on his feet and pushes Fox into the ropes. Nykk drops down and goes for a running leg lariat, but Fox sees it coming and dropkicks Nykk out of midair. Fox gives Nykk a couple of armdrags and then gets a side headlock takeover, gaining a one count. Fox cranks back on the hold to force Nykk's shoulders down, and gets another one count. Nykk manages to get to his feet and whips Fox into the ropes. He sends Fox down with a shoulderblock and bounces off the ropes. Fox drops down, leapfrogs Nykk on the rebound, and then sets up for a monkey flip. However, Nykk sees it coming and goes for a fist drop. Fox moves, and Nykk hits the mat. Fox gives Nykk an inverted atomic drop, and then a running kneelift. Nykk bounces into the corner, striking his head on the top turnbuckle, and wanders into a spinning heel kick from Fox. Fox covers and gets a two count. Fox goes for a vertical suplex, but Nykk escapes and rides Fox to the ropes. Fox holds on and Nykk somersaults backwards and to his feet, only to be met with a running dropkick from Fox. Fox whips Nykk front first into the corner and then hits the tiger buster. He covers and gets a two count. He whips Nykk into the corner and charges, hitting a running shoulder thrust. He whips Nykk into the opposite corner, hitting a running clothesline. He whips Nykk into another corner and goes for another shoulder thrust, but Nykk kicks him in the face. Fox turns around in pain, and Nykk goes for the Trinity. He hits the back suplex, but Fox blocks the German and elbows Nykk in the face. He reverses the waistlock and executes a German of his own on Nykk. Fox prepares for the Tail End, but Nykk throws him off and sends him down with a running back elbow. He gives Fox a snap suplex and floats over into the cover for a two count. He picks Fox up, but Fox hits a jawbreaker and whips Nykk into the corner. Nykk reverses and charges Fox. Fox tries to tip up, but Nykk catches him in a fireman's carry and executes a gutbuster. Fox holds his ribs, and Nykk backs up to the ropes.)
(He charges and kicks Fox as hard as he can in the midsection. Fox writhes in pain, and Nykk gets an evil smile on his face. He backs up and charges, kicking Fox in the midsection again. He gives Fox a backbreaker and covers for another two count. He slams Fox front first into the corner and then goes to the outside, pulling Fox's arms toward him while posting one foot on the ring post. The ref starts the count, and Nykk lets go at four. He gets back in the ring and whips Fox into the ropes. Fox reverses and tries a clothesline, but Nykk counters into an abdominal stretch. Fox fights his way free, and manages to give Nykk a hip toss. However, Nykk is right back up and kicks Fox in the midsection. He gets a double leg takedown and goes for the Bellbrook Cedarleaf. Fox resists being turned over, and Nykk applies too much force and the momentum swings Fox back over onto his back and into the ropes. Nykk lets go and drags Fox back out of the ropes to deliver an elbow drop. He goes to the top rope and hits a splash, covering for a two count. Nykk sets up Fox for his half nelson bulldog and charges, but Fox throws him off and brings him down with a drop toehold, segueing into the Carrion Stretch. Nykk scrambles for the ropes and after a few moments just barely manages to get a hold of them. Fox lets up and signals for the Tail End while holding his ribs. He charges Nykk, but Nykk counters into a northern lights suplex, bridging for a close two count. Nykk goes to the top rope and goes for a double axehandle, but Fox blocks it and hits a reverse tiger suplex. Nykk comes down on the back of his head, and lies still. Fox is also almost out, and the ref starts counting. They're on their feet by eight, and Fox hits Nykk with some rights. He whips Nykk into the ropes and hits a flapjack. Fox clotheslines Nykk back down, still holding his ribs. He gives Nykk a vertical suplex and goes to the top rope. He tries a guillotine legdrop, but Nykk moves out of the way. Fox lays down in pain, and Nykk backs up. He goes for a kneedrop, but Fox moves and Nykk strikes the mat with his knee. He favors his knee as Fox gets up, and they both charge each other with the same idea in mind. They hit simultaneous dropkicks to each other. Fox falls to the mat, and Nykk rolls out of the ring in pain, having landed on his knee. He favors it heavily on the outside as the ref starts to count. When he gets to eight, Fox comes over and grabs Nykk's hair, bringing him up to the apron. He headbutts him a couple of times and then slingshots him back into the ring. Nykk holds his knee, and Fox goes for a figure four leglock. Nykk quits playing possum and counters into an inside cradle, but instead of going for the pin, he rolls through and applies the Cedarleaf. He makes sure Fox is far away from the ropes, and Fox tries to fight out of it. However, Nykk has it cinched in, and Fox starts to fade. The ref drops his hand twice, but Fox won't let his hand drop a third time. Nykk starts kneeing him in the ribs with the hold still applied, and Fox screams in pain. Finally, he taps out.)
Winner: Nykk
David: It was a hard fought match between two nearly equal opponents, but on this night, it was Nykk who was victorious.
Dick: I said the first person to make a major mistake would lose, and that's exactly what happened. Fox thought that Nykk had injured himself and went in for the kill, only to find that Nykk was playing possum. Never trust an injury you didn't inflict yourself.
David: The Alpha Wolf has managed to keep up with his rival C.M. Punk in the Round Robin so far, but Bryan Danielson and Fox have an uphill battle to climb from here. Danielson has a chance to even it up by winning the main event tonight, but what condition is he in to face Low Ki after his match with Punk?
Dick: It's a bad break for the American Dragon, but that's the way it goes.
David: Well, up next we were supposed to have another match for the International Invitational, but as we heard earlier, Men's Teioh could not make it tonight. So it will be one half of KDX, Dick Togo, against one half of the Eccentrics.
("Entre dos Tierras" hits and Dick Togo makes his way to the ring, along with David Caldwell.)
David: The match for the tournament will take place very soon, but tonight it's an old-fashioned grudge match.
Dick: David Caldwell has no love lost for the Eccentrics, and in fact accused them of sabotaging Teioh's flight plans earlier.
("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make their way to the ring.)
David: I can't imagine the Eccentrics had anything to do with this, as I know Huh and Cheesecake were looking forward to the International Invitational, especially competing in it live on pay-per-view, but these things happen.
(The Eccentrics confer briefly, and Huh rushes the ring as the bell sounds.)
(FINISH: Huh hits a bulldog on Togo and goes up top for the moonsault. Caldwell gets on the ring apron, but so does Cheesecake. Cheesecake charges Caldwell, but he ducks out of the way and Cheesecake crashes into the post, causing Huh to fall onto Cheesecake's arm and crotch himself at the same time. Cheesecake holds his arm as Togo goes to the second rope and German suplexes Huh back to the middle of the ring. He covers and gets the three count.)
Winner: Dick Togo
David: That slimy David Caldwell just cost Huh the match!
Dick: Not only that, but it looks like Cheesecake's having a lot of pain in his arm. What a smart move. Now Cheesecake has a bum arm going into his tournament match.
David: That's a good point. Cheesecake was just getting over his bicep injury, and that may have aggravated it. Nonetheless, Dick Togo is victorious, and we're getting set for our main event. Bryan Danielson gets a second chance at gaining a win in the Round Robin, but if he loses again, he's done already.
Dick: Well, Low Ki is the last guy you want to wrestle a second match against. I think that Danielson's participation is just about done.
David: We're going to go backstage, where Bill Bicknell has caught up with Low Ki.
(Backstage, Bill Bicknell is standing by with Low Ki.)
Bill: Low Ki, tonight's a big night for you. The Round Robin is underway, and you're about to have your first match. Not only that, but it's against Bryan Danielson, an opponent you know very well, and has already wrestled a grueling match tonight against C.M. Punk, where he looks to have injured his neck.
Low Ki: That's right, Bill. Tonight, I start my journey to be the first MECCA Champion. I know that even when tired and injured, Bryan Danielson is one of the toughest opponents I've ever faced or ever will. All the pressure in the world is on him, because he's already lost once. If he loses again, then he cannot get the three wins needed to become the MECCA Champion. As tough as he is, Danielson is still only human. With an injury to the neck, he's up against the wrong opponent. I will destroy the American Dragon's career to get this win, if it comes to that. Danielson... tonight, you're in for the fight of your life.
Bill: What about the fact that in one month at Melee, it will be your turn to wrestle twice in one night?
Low Ki: Well… we'll just see about that.
(In the arena, "Self Esteem" hits and Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring, holding his neck.)
David: It's a tough night for Bryan Danielson, as we knew it would be. He had a hard fought match against C.M. Punk at the start of the show, and didn't even get the victory. Now he has to go up against a fresh Low Ki, and if he loses, he's gone from this Round Robin.
Dick: But when we say he's gone, he's not really gone. He'll still have to wrestle against Nykk and Ronin Fox, but the best he can hope for is that everyone ties with two wins apiece, forcing a Five Way match for the MECCA Title at the MECCA Challenge on April 30.
("Fighters Passion" hits and Low Ki makes his way to the ring.)
David: Low Ki is ready for this. I don't mean to give up on Danielson by any means, but he definitely has an uphill battle to climb as far as injury, fatigue and pressure are concerned.
Dick: It's definitely not impossible to beat Low Ki, but Danielson's in for some pain.
(FINISH: Low Ki works on Danielson's neck throughout the match, but Danielson fights back and goes for Cattle Mutilation. However, he isn't able to bridge to hold it on Low Ki. He picks up Low Ki and whips him into the ropes, but Low Ki reverses and hits Danielson with a rolling koppo kick before he even lets go of his hand. Danielson is almost out, and Low Ki lifts him for the Ki Krusher. Instead, he runs to the corners, giving Danielson the Krush Rush. However, on the third time Danielson counters with a quick inside cradle and gets the pin.)
Winner: Bryan Danielson
David: I don't believe it, Danielson countered the Krush Rush and gets the duke!
Dick: Not only that, he got the baron, count and king! I mean, what the hell!?
David: As quick as that, Danielson is still alive in this Round Robin, and Low Ki is one defeat away from failure.
(Danielson gets up slowly as the ref raises his hand, but Low Ki attacks from behind with a roundhouse kick, collapsing Danielson.)
David: Come on, Low Ki. What's the point of this?
Dick: Don't forget, Danielson's scheduled to take on Ronin Fox on the 3/8 Go Time. If he isn't in any shape to wrestle, the matches will have to be rearranged and it's a good bet that Low Ki won't have to wrestle twice at Melee.
David: I'll bet that's it exactly.
(Low Ki gives Danielson the Ki Krusher and then locks in the Dragon Clutch. Danielson is unconscious, and several officials come down to pull Low Ki off.)
David: Fans, I'm sorry that our first pay-per-view had to end this way. Be sure to join us on Go Time. For Dick Broccoli, I'm David Mills. Good night!
(Low Ki finally lets go of Danielson and stands over his prone body as the screen fades out.)
