| Left Unsaid Feb. 7, 2003 First things first, was it just me or was there an unusually large amount of obnoxious people at this show, or what? That said, let me begin. I was pleasantly surprised with Pilot to Bombardier. They aren't like every other band in this town and I like that. They've got a B+ in my book. And the singing drummer was new and cool, don't see that too often. I only have one complaint, THE FEEDBACK.... it's not a pleasant sound, so enough with it! Stereotyprider blew me away. They were great. They started off a little slow and by the end they were really getting into it. The crowd was totally feeding off of their energy. There were a few warbles here and there, but for the most part they held their own. The pseudo-Rock'n'Roll thrashing of their guitars at the end was a bit comical. I call it pseudo-Rock'n'Roll since the guys knealed and gingerly dropped the guitars onto the stage. Bravo. Finally, what everyone had been waiting for, well actually not everyone, just all of the 12 year-old girls in the audience.. Left Unsaid. Luckily for these guys all the chics in the crowd wouldn't know orriginal music from a hole in the ground. Don't get me wrong Left Unsaid is very good at what they do. However, what they do is similar to what N'Sync does. It doesn't take talent to get up on stage and look good (which these guys do if you haven't seen them). It was weird having a highly talented band on the verge of hardcore (Stereotyperider) on the same stage as the borderline bubble-gum band Left Unsaid. But all in all I thought that this was a VERY good show. |
