That's what friends are for...

Charlie's one of my few Austrian friends. He's finished uni and is now working as a doctor at the general hospital in Vienna.
He's got a sick mind but he's a fantastic friend to watch a movie with. We don't get to see each other very often, but if we do, we can talk for hours. When we were living together at the dorm where we met, people used to call him Papa because he was the *Doc* and also older than most residents, a very caring person.
Bix, Birgit G.
Bix is one of my oldest friends on this planet. We've been through a lot of sh** together and we had our good times. It's amazing how people can grow up and stay friends for such a long time. Hope it'll last =o)
Furby, David C.
Furby's one of my chatmates I haven't met yet, but of course we've got something planned in the near future.
Really looking forward to meeting him in spring, we'll have a great time in Vienna, that's for sure.
David could be Mel Gibson in the movie *What Women Want*. This guy reads minds, he does. .
Marta M.
Marta used to be my roommate for 2 years. We visited England together two which was a hilarious trip. I've heared that you don't really know a person until you've lived with them, and I think we know each other pretty well. We don't meet all that often since she moved out but she's still ace, that girl!
Some wonderful recent news, aswell, Marta is expecting a baby boy in September! Wishing you all the luck, darling!
Scoob, Ryan P.
Ryan is known for his soft spot for tea. (hence, Monsieur Le T-pot). He studied classics at the University of Newcastle and he's very, very smart.
He is a great cook, too (his chilli is invincable) and he can take ridiculous amounts of alcohol. He's about the only friend I have who would correct my English AT ALL (!!) and he also keeps providing me with interesting details about British history (just thinking about the story of the three lions really being leopards or tigers, but who knows anyway).
Gibbon, Mark P.
Jib, James M.
James is a chatmate and he allowed Marta and me to stay at his place when we came over back in 2001. He took us bowling where I discovered that dispite my inability to bowl a strike I just love that sport.
James is getting married in summer 2004. It's time for Scabbers to come over again!

edit: no, the bride's NOT me ;o)
Mark's another chatmate of mine and had us for 4 days in summer.Still, it was not before our last day in the UK that we were allowed to discover what an excellent cook he is! The Gibbon can take ridiculous amounts of bitter and lager (good ) and he loves footie (very good ) but he's got a passion for a number of notorious dance clubs in Ibiza (bad ) and he wouldn't put salt in his food (weird).
He showed Marta and me around  Weymouth and introduced us to English life style (football  and beer, which I really didn't mind) and food (fish and chips [very good], cheddar [mature] and white bread with crisps [must be kidding])
Henry is the Crazy Columbian. He opened the new and exciting world of South American food to me (i.e. he offered me roasted 'n' salted ants) and even though it might sound disgusting to everybody in their right mind, that stuff actually kicks ass. No, seriously. Haute Cuisine.
Henry's dead artistic and he's a Goth. That merger results in the awesome and incredibly deep drawings of his. Pure ace!
Charlie, Karl A.
Pitufo, Spotzal, (various nicknames), Henry A.
Dan The Man, Dan H.
Dan's another crazy American and he's in the US Navey. He's been on and off alcohol and nikotine recently but apart from a cold turkey now and again, Dan's a pretty easy-going guy.
He loves sushi, too. I swear, the sushi place around the corner made a fortune last year with him staying at Boltzmanngasse.... ;o)
Bill, William L.
At first, Bill was just a friend of my roommate's, since they are in the same student exchange program but things changed and now we hang out almost every day!.No need to say, he too is American, a nice guy who takes both his studies and his drinks seriously.
We live about five minutes away from each other which makes it pretty easy to make plans for the evening. Want to watch a movie? Want to go bowling? Partying? Out for a drink? Play pool or basketball? Bill's your man!
Du-hu, Daniel A.
Daniel was in the same FLA Programme (foreign language assistant) and is currently my only German friend. (Never thought I would have to go to England to pick up a German friend, that's just twisted life for ya!) He has made my stay in England millions of miles easier than it would have been without him. He saved my 25th birthday for instance, he can cook fantastic meals and he is probably the most caring and warm-hearted person I have ever met.
He's insane about computer games (infecting me with the World of Warcraft virus) and proudly calls a Suzuki motorcyle his very own!
