The day the club repeater was first heard on the air.
It was Sunday July 23, 2000, 7:00 A.M KH0FX, KH0JR, KH0FR, KH0JW, KH0FD, KH0JO, and KH0DL gathered everything needed, the antenna, power supply, coax cable, repeater controller, and etc.The location is Upper Navy Hill, the weather is rainny but it did not stop the group in building the club repeater, the spirit is so strong, the group work non stop until everything was installed in the proper places. Thanks to KH0DL who realy deserved to be the club Trustee he use every effort and knowledge in powering the repeater.
Around 10:00 A.M the first modulation was heard on the air between KH0FX the club President and KH0JD.
On July 25, 2000 the repeater is proudly starts to identify using the club call sign "WH0ABP".Every member was so happy, everything was going as expected, the repeater is now working and after two days the club call sign was released by the FCC.
Thursday 8:00 P.M July 27, 2000... CQ... CQ... CQ... the voice of KH0FX was on the air controlling the first Net Call of the MDX Amateur Radio Club.
The first station who check in was KH0FD Jojo, followed by NH0H Tim Hayes, and KH0JE Edwin so as the following... KH0JR, NH0R (Tinian), KH0FF, KH0FR, KH0ET, KH0JN, KH0JM, KH0FZ, KH0JO, KH0CW, KH0JG, KH0JI, KH0JD, KH0JF, AH0BA (Tinian), KH0HV (Tinian) and KH0FX checking in himself.
The regular Net Call will be every Monday's and Thursday's at 8:00 P.M at 145.280 Mhz with the back up frequency of 146.550 Mhz simplex.
