Almost all of the buildings I saw were stone.  Farm buildings were usually clustered around a central courtyard and were very clean, no junk piles, and most had flower gardens and were very nice to look at.  I really, really wanted to stop and take more pictures but couldn't.  It was too disheartening to lose time, especially because I didn't have enough in hand.
