| Just as the ducks reached the house, they heard the child scream from inside. Duke kicked down the door, aimed his puck launcher and was about to fire when the child screamed again. "IT'S WITH THE GOOSES! Hurry, before she gets to it!" Crystal screamed from inside. Arrastar shot Duke in the leg, and pushed past him as he stumbled to the ground. She fired at the ducks, forcing them to take cover as she ran behind the house. "GOOSES? What the PUCK are GOOSES?" Nosedive asked. "GEESE! She means geese!" Tanya yelled, chasing after Arrastar. "Ooooohhhh!" And Nosedive shot to his feet and jumped up on an old tractor that was parked beside the house. From there he jumped onto the house, Hope following him while the others ran around the house. Dive and Hope ran to the edge of the house and jumped over to the garage. "Hey, this is FUN!" Hope yelled to Dive as she was flying through the air to land shakily on the garage. "Yeah!" Dive yelled back as he jumped from the garage to the shack that only just passed for a barn. As Dive landed the roof beneath his feet shook and cracked. "Uuuttt-Ooohh." He began as Hope made the jump to the barn. Just as she landed the roof gave way and they crashed through, convineantly landing right on top of Arrastar. "That was luck." Hope said as she looked down at the struggling Arrastar. "You won't think so soon." Arrastar said, bringing the back of her lazer-blaster down on Hope's head, knocking her unconscious. Arrastar pushed Hope's body off of her and got up, but Dive was already heading for the geese. Dive skidded to a halt in front of their case. Opened the door and reached in to grabe the scroll, which was barely sticking out from under one goose. The goose, seeing a hand so close to her eggs, bit him. "Ouch!" Nosedive said, pulling his hand back. He looked over and saw Arrastar closing in on him. "Okay, nice goose. Nice goose. You don't want to hurt Uncle Dive. I mean, were practically of the same family," he began, again reaching for the scroll, "I mean, there's obviously differences: I'm tall and can talk, your short and make this sort of quacking sound, I'm intelligent, your dumb. But come on, we've both got FEATHERS!" With that, he grabbed the scroll and ran. Dive ran out of the barn, and almost collided with Tanya and the others. "I've got the...paper-thingy?!" Dive informed them. "And you've made a friend." Duke laughed. "What?" And Nosedive looked behind him. The goose had gotten out of its cage and was flying fast at Dive. "What-O!" Dive's eyes grew wide and he started running, the goose flying fast after him, skwaking angrily at him. Dive ran around and around the ducks, who were all laughing at him, the goose chasing him all the way. Suddenly the goose fell to the ground, bleeding from its side. Arrastar stood by the barn, lazer-blaster pointed at Wildwing's heart. Alu stood to the side of her, holding Crystal in front of him, his knife to her throat. "Well...wasn't that fun. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to have my scroll." Arrastar said. "No." Wing answered coolly. "Alu." Arrastar waved her hand and Alu pulled the knife tighter against Crystals neck. Crystal cringed and started to cry again. "We don't need to go through this again, do we? Just give me THAT SCROLL!" Just then another henchman of Arrastar came up, holding Crystal's mother in front of him. He had a lazer-blaster to her head. He walked over and stood beside Arrastar and Alu. "Now, ducky, give me my scroll or Montibicula will blow little Crystal's mommy's brains out while and Alu will slit little Crystal's throat." Arrastar said. Crystal began crying harder, calling out to her mother. Her mom was still in a state of shock, she couldn't even answer her daughters calls. Nosedive stood, looking from the scroll to Crystal, to Crystal's mom, to Arrastar, to the ducks. The ducks, all but Sharra, were still, not knowing what to do. Sharra kept shaking her head 'no' saying over and over, don't give it to her. Arrastar just kept threatening to kill the humans. Crystal cryed, while her mother just stood there, staring blankly at the whole scene. "MAN! I HATE it when I have to make a tough decision like this!" Nosedive yelled, making everyone there, including Arrastar, jump. "Don't give her the scroll Dive. We can't be sure what's on it, and as long as we have it, she she can't spare to loose her hostiges." Wildwing said. "I wouldn't be so sure. If you don't give me the scroll, then I'll kill these two, leave, and get more hostiges. And I'll keep killing them until you give me what I want!" Arrastar contridicted. Alu shifted his knife, making Crystal cringe again. "How do you plan on getting out of here without any hostiges? Huh?" Duke asked. "I'll shoot my way out if I have to. I wouldn't mind killing off a few of you now anyway." Arrastar answered. "Father. You can't do this. That's a little girl you are so willing to kill. A little girl and her mother. Please, don't do this." Shahareazat said to Alu, who had a look of deepest hate on his face. "Do you address me child? It can't be so, for I have no daughter." Alu answered, looking straight into Sharra's eyes. Sharra looked away, realizing that her father no longer had a caring soul. He didn't know how to love any more. All he cared for was obeying Arrastar, being loyal to her. He wouldn't help them. Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Fan-Fics I promise to finish this story soon.
