| Who are we? We are a chapter in an international group called MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support.) Since 1995, MOMS Club of Virginia Beach-SE has been offering support to at-home Moms in the Virginia Beach area. We are one of over 1,800 chapters in the International MOMS Club. Whom do we serve? The Chapters of the Virginia Beach MOMS Clubs are divided by public elementary school district. If you live in the district of: Creeds Elementary North Landing Elementary Ocean Lakes Elementary Princess Anne Elementary Red Mill Elementary Strawbridge Elementary Three Oaks Elementary We're the chapter for you! Valencia, CA 91355 Please note, there is a $2 processing fee for written inquiries. What do we offer? Activities for Moms and children: Join child-friendly activities hosted by Moms throughout the week. Each month's calendar might include things like park playtimes, craft and music mornings, field trips to the zoo and museum outings. Activity Groups: Based on Moms� interests, these groups usually meet monthly and may include such fun activities as Moms� Night Out, Book Club and Scrapbooking. Monthly Meetings: We have a regularly scheduled club meeting on the first Monday of the month. Your children are welcome to join us. Weekly Playgroups: A great way for Moms and children of the same age to get acquainted in small groups on a weekly basis. Service Projects: We vote as a chapter how to best serve our community; a sampling of our past service projects include supporting local children's organizations, senior centers and families in crisis. Support for Moms: If you find yourself in need of some special help, Moms on the Mend can help. MOMS Club volunteers can provide support in many ways including meals, babysitting, or running errands. Our dues are $25 annually, which are used exclusively for our programs and projects since we are an IRS registered non-profit group. However, we do not wish to exclude any MOM needing support because of financial hardship; please advise the Membership Vice President of such need, which will be held in strictest confidence. |
