*Projects which will be completed, others will be attempted as time allows.
North Carolina Symbols*
Research assigned symbol
Draw and color symbol to be transferred to muslin.
Each will be used on the bulletin board then stuffed to make a pillow.
North Carolina Legends*
Research a NC Legend.
Write a summary of and illustrate assigned legend.
Be prepared to share with class about your legend.
Each is displayed on bulletin board.
Where in the World Am I?*
Draw outline of North America - continent
Include:
United States - country
North Carolina - state
Macon County - county
Franklin - city

North Carolina Timeline*
Research the date of a North Carolina historical event.
Include:
Date
Title of historical event.
Summary of event
Image
Displayed along wall in hallway.

Edible North Carolina Map
Present a NC map with legend.
All must be edible.
Example:
Cut outline of map from sliced bread rolled together.
Green tinted cream cheese and olive halves for mountain region. 
Blue tinted cream cheese for coastal region.
A food for Raleigh, Franklin, and other points of interest.
A written legend  with symbols should be included
Project should be placed on a rectangular shape for transporting and displaying.
K.C.'s Dream*
A one-act play about successful African-Americans who have overcome obstacles
to fulfill their dreams.
"Believe in Yourself" is a message for everyone.

NC Lighthouses*
Research NC Lighthouse
Create mini 3-D lighthouse with electrical circuit.
Using research, design a Power Point Presentation to share with class.

Study of NC Women
Research and create a triangular diarama to display interpretation of findings. Products are displayed in hallway.
Civil War*
Hopefully, again this year we will have Civil War artifacts on display in the classroom and picture taking in the clothes that are brought.
