We will be working on addition and subtraction with regrouping; place value; and rounding. We will be doing the addition and subtraction with hundreds and thousands. |

The theme for this six weeks is "Adventure!" We will read adventure stories as well as write a personal narrative about one of our adventures. We will learn many grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills throughout this theme. |

Science |
|
|
|
For the next 9 weeks we will be working on our Human Body unit. We will be learning about our skeleton: bones, joints, and muscles. We will do many hands on activities to learn these concepts. Look for your child to come home talking about counting bones, disecting owl pellets, having fingers taped up, and making muscles. |

AR Reading |

We are waiting for the company that runs AR to upload all our new class information. As soon as this happens we will be able to do our STAR Reading and Math tests and set goals. This year the goals will be set on a 9 week basis. |

Book Reports |

Your child has a book report syllabus in his/her binder for this six weeks. These are due by October 10th but can be turned in any time before this! Please read over the syllabus with them. We have gone over this in class also. If you have any questions please contact me. |
