| Marion County Girls Softball 7th Annual Fall League 2006 Attention Coaches and Players�. � Fall League Facts � The Fall League is set for girls who still want to play fastpitch softball this fall. It is an instructional league only, no trophies, no records, just fun!! � Last year was our sixth year for the Fall League. We had about 230 girls participate on 21 teams in all three age groups. � We will have 3 age groups this fall: 10U, 12U, & 14U. � All games will be played on Sunday afternoons and each team will play 2 � 75 minute back to back games, if possible. It will be set up similar to past fall seasons. � Schedule (5 Sundays) � 12U and 14U Leagues will start on Sunday, September 10th and go through Sunday, October 8th. (5 weeks) October 15th will be a rain date. � 10U League will play 3 weeks starting Sep. 10th and go through Sep.24th. Oct. 1st will be the rain date. � Pizza parties will be on October 1st. (September 17th for 10U) � No games will be played on Labor Day weekend. � All leagues will be played at the River Valley Complex across from Kennedy Park. � Cost � Each girl will pay $25 for the 12U and 14U leagues. $15 for the 10U league. This cost is a break even cost which covers the umpires, shirts, pizza party, and other expenses. � Each girl will receive a Fall League T-shirt. � There will be a pizza party and group photos taken on one of those Sundays. � Fall League Goals � Provide a place for girls to continue playing fastpitch softball. � Make this instructional so they can learn and make them better ball players. � Promote girls softball in the Marion County area. � Show the girls how much fun fastpitch softball can be. � Check out the pictures on our web site. � Are you interested? Wishing the season wouldn�t end? � Contact your coach or school softball representative for more details. � Tell them you are interested in playing in the Fall League��� � We would like to have a team from each school in each age group. � There will be an organizational meeting for all coaches and school representatives on Sunday, August 27th, 5:00pm, at the River Valley Complex. The number of teams will be limited and schedules for all 3 age groups will be determined at this meeting. Call Phil at 389-1315 to hold a spot for your team.
