We also had Greg Harville and Larry Borders attend our meeting from River Valley. . * We did not have enough board members present to vote on any rule changes Summer reflections * Fields at Pleasant was the biggest complaint this year. 5:00 start times, time limits for some games and other didn�t, coaches not getting enough notice for early games. * Proposed letting teams only play 2 games a night max. during the tournament. * Conduct a county-wide rules interpretation meeting before the season. * Amount of times a pitcher can hit batters per inning/game. * In the 10U, putting a time limit on the games. * 8U- where the pitcher needs to be. (on the pitch and after) * 10U- eliminate the � way lines. * Standardize the fees for tournaments or collect with county fees. * Forming a girls T-ball league. * Having an instructional clinic this fall. * Sliding into home ruling. Fall League * We ordered 221 shirts today, we have 194 girls playing. * 6 teams in the 10U * 4 teams in the 12U * 6 teams in the 14U * Tami will get plates and napkins for the 10U and 12U, Larry for the 14U. * Phil will send out an e-mail for coaches to bring their own drink. * Larry will check with Dugout Pizza for the 10U league on Sep 22. * Phil will get other 2 leagues from J Angelos in Waldo on Oct. 6th. * Income should be about $3150, expenses will be around $2950-$3000 * 1st year we lost $300 as the Marion Co. Softball subsidized the 1st year. * Last year, we made $9, this year we should make $150-$200. Next Meeting * Monday, February 3rd, 2003 @ 7:00pm at River Valley Middle School. |
