The league will play each Sunday, except September 2nd, through October 7th with the 14th and 21st set aside for make-ups. * T-Shirts will be handed out during the pizza party on the last Sunday of the season. * The 14U will play at Waldo Park, 12U at Prospect Park, and 10U at Pleasant. Game times will be 1:30, 3:00 and 4:30. * We have 4 teams for the 14U league: River Valley, Pleasant, Cardington, and St. Marys. * We have 6 teams for the 12U league: River Valley 1 and 2, Marion, Cardington, Waldo, and Larue. * We have 3 teams for the 10U league: Ridgedale, River Valley, and Prospect. Phil will try to get a 4th team from Pleasant if possible. * Each coach received a roster sheet that needs returned on Sunday, Aug. 26th along with shirt sizes and playing fees. * Game times were set for this Sunday only, Phil will complete schedule and pass out Sunday to all coaches. * Rules were discussed and will be the same except the runs per inning was changed from 8 to 6. . * Rule reviews * These rules were 2001 trials. * The 80 line for the 8U and 10U league will be modified to 20 behind the bases. Adopted 6-0 * The EP rule for the 12U and 14U was discussed and adopted 6-0 * The 3 innings per pitcher in the 10U was discussed and adopted 6-0. It was also defined as 1 pitch in an inning is considered an inning. * The injury substitution rule for the 12U and 14U league was discussed and adopted 6-0 * Other rules discussed: * After the long 12U-tournament game, we discussed using the international tie-breaker rule. After some discussion, it was adopted 6-0. * The 8 run per inning rule was clarified. ALL runs count on a play and you could score up to 11 runs in an inning. Phil will modify the rules for next year. * Other discussion items: * Phil stated that he was no longer to schedule umpires for the entire league. Last year, 156 games in the 12U and 14U league along with all the school field schedules just couldnt be filled. Each county rep. will be responsible for the umpires next season. * A concern was brought up about playing at Pleasant with the 5:30 and 7:00 times. The early games can only play 1 hour and 15 minutes and you only play 3-4 innings most of the time. This will be brought up at the next meeting. * Phil stated that we have a new web address and it is accessible from the old site. * Phil also stated that he would like to find a new president in the near future. He is willing to do it again next year but would like to eventually get out. * Next meeting will be Monday, February 11, 2002 @RVMS cafeteria, 7:00pm. |
