| President - Phil Shepler Prospect- Teresa Staton St. Marys- Bobby Vitek Treasurer - Angela Harvey Green Camp- Robert Sullivan Fred Richardson Ridgedale -Rondel Hicks Steve Ault Cardington- Darren Rogers Tami Galloway Pleasant- Keith Verity Marion- Gwen Rumple River Valley � Phil Shepler Larue- Angela Harvey Linda Candel Larry Borders Teena Kasler Minutes: � Angela reviewed the minutes from the September 22, 2003 meeting. � Introduce new members: Robert Sullivan from Green Camp and Teena Kasler from Larue Financial: � Angela stated that we had $62.58 in our account. � Bobby made a motion to raise county fees by $5 per team. Tami 2nd; after little discussion, the motion passed by a vote of 8-0. Fees will be $60 per organization and $15 per team. � It was also discussed that Marion teams would be charged $60 as one organization. � Phil discussed costs of the fall league, we made $44 and that didn�t include paying to get the fields ready. Rondel made a motion to raise the player fees by $5 each, Teresa 2nd. The motion passed by a vote of 8-0. Fall league fees will go to $25 for 12U and 14U leagues and $15 for 10U. Rules: Phil had a sample of the 2004 revised rule book and read through the changes from last year. � General Information (page 2) � Players must play in 50% of the regular season to play in the tournament. This came up last year with a certain team. The exception is if a player was hurt during the season. � T-Ball League (page 3) No changes. � D-League (page 4) � A point of emphasis was put in to get the players to try to make a play at first base. � C-League (page 5) � Changed to the 11� hard softball. � Clarified the hit by pitch rule and added the NO Infield Fly rule in the point of emphasis. � Bunting is now allowed. � Runners can leave up to a 3-step lead-off on the pitchers release of the ball. � B-League (page 6) � Removed the trial rule from last year where if the pitcher hit 3 batters in an inning or 5 for a game, they must be removed from the mound. � Removed the unwritten rule about only the starting pitcher can return to the mound. OHSAA substitution rules will apply. � Added a point of emphasis about sliding. � A-League (page 7) No changes Dates: � Start season May 17-Jun 26 � Girls T-ball league, May 24-Jun 26 � Girls tourney Jul 5- Jul 11: need location and tournament director names. Schools must try to have a director that is not a coach be the tournament director if possible. o T-Ball o D-League at Pleasant o C-League at Ridgedale o B-League at Prospect o A-League at River Valley; Phil Shepler � Fall League Sep 12- Oct 3, rain Oct 10. (12U and 14U); Sep 12-Sep 26, rain Oct 3. (10U). o Cost $25/$15 o All leagues will play at the RVBFY complex o Will look at a sign-up day Misc: � Reviewed last years concern with games played at Pleasant. 5:00 and 7:00 start times, time limit will be no new inning after 1 hour 45 minutes. Must use guidelines to speed up the game. � Teams only play 2 games a night maximum during the tournament. � Conduct a county-wide rules interpretation meeting before the season. New Business: � Conduct a county-wide rules interpretation meeting will be April 18th, 5:00pm at St Mary�s Gym � We are still looking for a new Treasurer and a President. � Discussed how teams are seeded for tournaments. After some discussion, this will be tabled till the next meeting so we came investigate how other leagues do this. Next Meeting: � April 5, 2004, at RVHS caf� 7:00pm � Phil should have the 2004 Rule Books printed. � Need the following: o Number of teams per age group. o Fees for your teams. o All coaches names and phone numbers. o Rosters with birthdays if possible. (rosters are due by May 16th) o E-mail addresses if possible. o Tournament Draw dates o Tournament Director name and phone number |
