| For Women's History Month in March, McPherson Co. NOW donated over 1,000 dollars worth of new books to area schools that highlights strong women in history. UPDATE!!! We received lovely thank you cards or verbal thank yous from a number of these schools. Your work was very much appreciated! |

| In April, McPherson NOW participated in a booth at McPherson College. There were a few young men who made some inappropriate comments which prompted the NOW President to write a letter to the editor. We are very pleased with the outcome of this. Some nice comments rebuking the actions of the young men were made in the Campus Newspaper. We thank those who spoke out! |
| May 5th was the Women of Color and Allies conference and five McPherson county members attended this regional event with persons from Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas. Marla Patrick (McPherson) and Linda Joslin (Wichita) did a beautiful job hosting this event at the MidAmerica All Indian Center. There were many fantastic speakers addressing the issues of Racism, Aids and HIV, Poverty, and an inspirational speaker from Africa. |
