The Northside Singers are a selected group of third grade students.  The purpose is to perform for special community and school related events.

The selection for this group is based on a point system that includes:
(1) reading on grade level.
(2) an academic B average
(3) behavior in second and third grade classrooms
(4) completion of classwork and homework
(5) behavior in all areas of the school, including the bus
(6) participation in the regular school programs
(7) behavior in the music classroom during second
     grade
(8) singing ability

This group represents our school at many special events throughout the school year.

Northside Singers are expected to learn a tremendous amount of music in a short period of time.  Rehearsals are only thirty minutes twice a week, so much of this music must be studied and memorized at home.   Students must complete all work that is missed while they are not in the classroom.  They must also be responsible and organized, and are expected to take home and return permission forms by the required date on each form.
