Marvin and Sheila
I married Sheila Eliason, from the class of 61, and we have been married 37 years. We have two children and 4 grandchildren. We live in Cottage Grove, near Eugene where there are 2 lakes within 5-10 miles for fishing.
Last year I enjoyed a fly-in trip for salmon in Canada. Our two kids, and grandkids, have always fished with me. And, now our daughter has taken up flyfishing so that has been fun.
Much of our time is spent going to car shows and cruising in our 1961 red Chev Impala. I purchased one new in 1961, and this one has been fun to restore. We have lots of trophies for the car. The thought crosses my mind that I would like to trade the 61 and buy a 55 Crown Victoria, with a glass top. But, Sheila is sentimental about the 61.
We get together with Tom Draper, Les Horton and their wives, and occasionally see Marvin Peters too.
I bowl on a league and grow a prolific garden each year. We go back to Mc frequently to visit relatives and can hardly believe how the town has grown.
I am looking forward to retirement in the next year or two and plan to travel around the country and of course, fish.
