After fourteen years with the office of the State Auditor & Inspector, 41-year-old Jeff McMahan of Tecumseh seeks the post left vacant with the retirement of Clifton Scott. For many years, McMahan has served as the agency's manager of investigation audits.
"The State Auditor's office provides accountability to taxpayers," said McMahan. "I firmly believe in this concept. Our office has recovered close to $4 million in the last few years for Oklahoma taxpayers." Though his travels in Oklahoma, McMahan said he's learned that Oklahomans from the Panhandle to Idabel "will give you the shirt off their backbut they don't want to see you dragging it through the mud." "I firmly believe in the open-door policy of accessibility," pledges McMahan, who plans to make himself available to all citizens and their concerns. |
