Formula1 GP Of San-Marino
2002
Introduction For The Race:
The West McLaren Mercedes team travels
to San Marino for round four of the FIA Formula One World Championship,
the first European race of the 2002 season. The 62 lap race takes place
at the 4.9km / 3.065 mile Imola circuit. Kimi on Imola: "The start of the
European races marks a new leg in the championship there is something comforting
about being closer to home! Again, this track is one of the few that runs
in an anti-clockwise direction. A good starting position is required here
because overtaking opportunities are limited." McLaren Star®

Salut à tous. C'est le premier GP en Europe. San

Silver Isn't Longer Gold
Anymore!!
Hi McLaren Star®
International visitors,
For what I saw this GP i'm really,
really ashamed of McLaren. Of course it's nice that DC got one point, but
with one point you don't win a championship! And about Kimi... How can
it happen that there were dangerous toxics coming out of his car?? That
shouldn't happen with a top team!! Thank god they found that out so early,
otherwise the race for Kimi could have had a worse finish!! After watching
this race my mood was even worse than the bad mood of Ralph. I don't really
get why McLaren is this bad. They have a good engine, two very good drivers,
Adrian Newey, Ron Dennis, enough money, a beautiful motorhome, and I could
go on with this. But the reliability is worse and there isn't enough power.
David said on the board radio that the problem was in the corners with
the aerodynamics. Maybe Andrian should work more on the cars than on the
boats?? Well, I don't know what wrong. But seeing McLaren perform like
this... it makes me sad. One light in the darkness is about the rumors
that if Michael wins this championship he's gonna quit. Let's hope that's
true. Than we should have some interesting fights next year. Because let's
be honest. Nobody can stop Michael the way he is racing now (Because of
his cheeting methods). Or Mclaren and Williams have to improve in the cold
conditions. Let Michael win this year than we are hopefully lost
of him forever on the track. Than we have only one Schumacher. The next
GP is the one of Spain. I don't have bad feeling about that. Mclaren was
good there last year... until the last lap. Let's hope this year will bring
a podium finish there. I wish Mika was still racing...
