       Doherty is quite possibly one of the best ball-handlers in the Catholic Conference.  Using extremely quick footwork and his speed, he has set up many plays that resulted in Lancer goals throughout every year on varsity.  As a freshman, he was one of only two in that season to make the top squad.  In his sophomore year, he led the team in scoring.  He tied with teammate Tano Meola for the league's leading scorer in this past junior season.  Off of the field, he has participated in a foreign immigrancy program.
